Floyd E. "Gene" Nelson, 88, of Salina, Kansas, passed away February 15th, 2023.

Gene was born in Clay County, Kansas on September 8th, 1934, the son of Floyd E. Nelson and Rose M. (Hicks) Nelson.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents, and wife Naomi (Walker) Nelson.

Survivors include three daughters, Peggy Jean Hughes (Pat), of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Francee Cox (Doug Ochs), of Minneapolis, Kansas, Paula Tomlins (Byron), of Topeka, Kansas; son John Hiebsch (Wendy) of Wichita, Kansas; eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his sisters Karen Wells (Dan Francke) and Sharon Babst (Larry).

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, February 20th, 2023 at 10:00 a.m., at First Southern Baptist Church, 2401 S. Ohio St., Salina.

Dean Dwight Graybeal, 81, of Salina, passed away Monday, February 13th, 2023.

Dean was born in Salina, Kansas on July 20, 1941, a son of Viola (Sprecker) and Earl Graybeal.

He worked for the city of Salina for over 40 years.

Survivors include three daughters, Treasa Toland of Paola, Kansas, Lori Ringquist of Salina, Kimberly King (Phil) of Jay, Oklahoma; son Randy Schriner (Lori Fruits) of Salina; 13 grandchildren, Janeece, Dustyn, Joshua, Katlynn, Douglass, Triniti, Zackary, Christopher, Chandler, Morgan, Jordanne, Brittany, Chase; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Dean is also survived by his sister Joann Hamilton and brother Gene Graybeal (Linda), all of Salina, Kansas.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Robert and Keith.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 20, 2023 at Gypsum Hill Cemetery in Salina, Kansas.

Norma Rae (Worman) Faelber, 92, passed Sunday, February 12, 2023.

She was born to Marvin and Sylvia (Parson) Worman on December 5, 1930 in Goodland, Kansas.

She lived most of her life in Gypsum, Kansas. She graduated from Gypsum High School and married Dale C. Faelber, June 5, 1949. 

She began painting at age 14 and has art displayed in Gypsum City municipal buildings. She was a 4-H club knitting leader. In 1994, was honored “Wife of the Year” by Kansas Land Improvement Contractors Association and along with Dale received a Certificate of Appreciation for 55 years of Service. She also enjoyed traveling and was an avid photographer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Marvin (Jack) Worman, brother in-law Jim Hall, in-laws George and Mary (Hobson) Faelber.

Survived by her husband; daughters Barbara (Roger) Messenger, Carol (Roger) Schmidt, Diane Faelber; son Gary (Deb) Faelber; sisters Pat (Dwight) Conley, Dyretha Hall; sister in-law Ruth Worman; brother Frank (Dedra) Worman; grandchildren Stephanie (Terry) Thiessen, Steven (Brenda) Messenger, Kregg (Kerri) Schmidt, Jeff Schmidt, Ashley Faelber, Zachary Faelber; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

William “Bill” R. Casey, of Eugene, Oregon passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023, at Churchill Estates Assisted living in Eugene Oregon.

Bill was born on February 25, 1929, in Everton, Missouri, the third child to the late George Dewey Casey and Olive Mae (Bell). He was raised on the homestead family farm; he attended the one-room Carlock School then graduated from Dadeville High School.

Bill entered active service November 25, 1953, and was involved in the Korean war, leaving the active duty for the reserves September 02, 1955.

He was retired but previously worked at Boeing while living in Kansas and later moved to Eugene, Oregon working in sales for insurance and trucking companies. Bill also had many friends that he would do their taxes for and continued to do taxes until long after retiring from his sales career. 

He fell in love with Eugene, Oregon and that is where he spent his years until his passing, enjoying life with many lifelong friends.

Bill enjoyed sports of all kinds especially baseball. He loved playing cribbage with anyone who would play with him and pinochle with his friends – a trip to the casinos was not out of the question.&nbsp; When his children and grandchildren visited, they were usually treated to a ball game. Bill would volunteer to work the ball games just so he had a bird’s eye view of all the games at no cost. He loved watching the Oregon Ducks, and granddaughter Susie kept him cheering for the Chiefs.

Daughters Jean Rickords (Dennis) of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Ginger Ford (Cris) of Salina, Kansas; sister Irene Climer of Springfield, Missouri; sister-in-law Karen Casey of Liberty, Missouri; Grandchildren Susie West of Overland Park, Kansas, Jeff Rickords (Anna) of Lincoln, Nebraska, Beth Wilkinson (Leroy) of Bartlesville Oklahoma, Ryan Triplett (Melissa) of Columbia, Maryland; and great-grandchildren Ethan Rickords (Hope), Adler Rickords (Katie), Noah Eiden, Caleb Eiden, Elijah Eiden, Shelby West, Amelia Triplett, Gabriel Triplett; very special nieces and nephews.

Preceded him in death besides his parents are his brothers James Casey and wife Shirley, Clearance “Duke” Casey along with great-grandson Aaron Eiden.

Graveside services will be February 20th, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the Hampton Cemetery in Everton, Missouri.

William 'Bill' Casey

Joyce Ann Calkins Sprecker was born on April 7, 1933, at Tescott, 
Kansas. Her parents were Melvin and Esther Calkins. She has a younger 
sister, Delores Gould, Salina, KS.

Joyce graduated from Salina High School May 1951. She 
graduated from Brown-Mackie School of Business, Salina, in 1952 and 
worked for the Salina School System as a secretary for the Director of 
Elementary Education and later for the Director of Secondary Education.

She also attended Central Bible Institute and Seminary in Springfield, Missouri, 1953-1954.

In October 1955, Joyce came to Goodland, Kansas, and was involved with 
radio and television for nine years working at KLOE, formerly KWGB and 
KBLR in Goodland, then at KSAL in Salina, Kansas. At both KBLR and KSAL,&nbsp; she was a host for a homemaker’s call-in program which she enjoyed.

Joyce was active in children’s and youth work in the First Assembly 
of God Church, Salina, Kansas, from the age of 13 on. After arriving in 
Goodland, she was active in the music an in outreach ministries of 
Calvary Gospel Church. After her marriage, she was in the music ministry
 at the Pilgrim Holiness Church until their move to Salina, Kansas in 
1962 for two years. After their move back to Sherman County and to the 
family farm, the Spreckers attended the Burlington Assembly of God 
Church. After retirement and the move to Goodland, they once again 
attended Calvary Gospel.

Joyce and David Sprecker were married on April 6, 1958. David and 
Joyce were involved with the family farm South of Ruleton and Kanorado 
until retirement March 1995 when they moved to 610 Arcade, Goodland, 
Kansas.

Joyce loved children’s work and as soon as their three boys were in 
school, became a volunteer classroom teacher’s aide in the USD 352 
Goodland. Before beginning her employment in the School Administration 
Office in 1984, she had accumulated over 9,000 hours of volunteer 
classroom work. She received state recognition of her work as a “Special
 Friend of Education."

Joyce retired from the School Administration Building in April&nbsp;1996. 
She enjoyed retirement pursuing her own personal hobbies that had been 
postponed for many years, reading, sewing, quilting, knitting and 
cooking.

Joyce was preceded in death by her father, mother, sister and infant 
daughter. Surviving family includes&nbsp;her husband David, three sons, David
 Jr. (Katherine), Americus, Kansas, Richard (Lori), San Marcos, Texas, 
James (Debbie) of Underwood, IA., nine grandchildren and eleven great 
grandchildren.

John Craig Young

Thomas A. Gilkerson, 78, of Frontenac, Kansas, passed away on February 
9th, 2023, after a long illness. He was the son of Othal and Lavina 
(Herdt) Gilkerson. Thomas was born on April 29, 1944, in Salina, Kansas,&nbsp; and was the oldest of twelve children. He was preceded in death by his 
parents, infant sister Geneva and brother Marvin. He is survived by
 his wife of the home Anne (Teeter) Gilkerson and three adult children. 
His oldest daughter is Jenna and husband Larry Watson of Aurora, MO. 
Daughter Adina and husband Tony Sanchez of Pittsburg, KS. Son Travis and

of Marysville, KS, Lorraine Samuelson of Oakley, KS, Stanley and wife 
Esther Gilkerson of Burkburnett, TX and Pam Jackson of Hermitage, TN. 
 Tom grew up and attended schools in Oakley, Kansas. He served in the US
 Army at Red Stone Arsenal in Alabama, working with the Nike Hercules 
Missile System. He attended college at Fort Hays State University before
 marrying his wife, Anne Marie Teeter, on November 26, 1966, in Oakley, 
KS. Tom worked with several companies in his adult life including: 
Beech Aircraft, Addressograph, Ruffin Fertilizer, Grainger Farm Supply, 
and Certified Laboratories. He enjoyed working with southwest Kansas 
industries and small municipalities in the water treatment industry. Tom
 founded and operated Catalog Chemical, a water treatment consulting 
company, for several years. Later on, he was an owner-operator of two 
parcel delivery routes with RPS and FedEx. Tom enjoyed several clubs and
 organizations including: Ambucs, Optimus Club, and Lions Club, and 
always enjoyed meeting friends for coffee in Dodge City to have spirited
 discussions about current events. Tom’s family would like to 
express deep gratitude to the many healthcare professionals that cared 
for him over the past several years. Special thanks to Dr. Jacqueline 
Orender - primary care, Dr. Chang-Qing “Mickie” Xun - oncology, Dr. 
Bashar Marji – cardiology, and the amazing volunteers and staff of the 
Ascension Via Christi Cancer Center in Pittsburg, KS. Burial 
will take place on May 6, 2023, at the Oakley Cemetery in Oakley, Kansas.

Ilene Theresa Boyer was born May 19,&nbsp;1933 in Aurora, Kansas. &nbsp;She passed away at her home with all of her four children at her bedside in Belleville on February 8, 2023 at the age of 89.

Ilene was the 4th&nbsp;of 10 children born to Edward and Delia (Breault) Boyer. They moved to the rural Belleville area in 1943, where she attended Bowling Green country school. &nbsp;

When she left the farm, she worked as a clerk at Duckwalls. She quit working to raise her family, and later returned to work at Duckwalls, until the store closed in 2004. 

Ilene enjoyed many hobbies, but she was an avid bowler. She enjoyed weekly bowling with close friends and sisters-in-law. She always looked forward to state bowling tournament, and also made national bowling tournaments in Reno, Nevada a couple of times. She loved spending time with her family, gathering at “the farm” for family picnics with her sister, brothers, and many nieces and nephews.&nbsp; She loved to travel and made several trips with her family. She especially enjoyed Deadwood, Colorado, Branson, and Prairie Band. She loved attending her children’s, grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s sporting events football, baseball, basketball and rodeos. If she couldn’t attend, she would enjoy watching videos that her family would send her. 

She loved to do puzzles and enjoyed feeding the squirrels and birds in her backyard. She also loved her plants and flowers. Saturday evening she loved listening to Daniel O’Donnell, Lary’s Country Diner, and Molly B’s Polka.

Ilene is preceded in death by her parents Edward and Delia Boyer; husbands Marvin Blackburn, Richard Zukowske, and Billy Kelly; infant son Richard J. Memorial Services will be held Friday, February 17th, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home in Belleville.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 16th&nbsp;from 1 p.m.- 8 p.m., with rosary / vigil services at 6:30 p.m., at the funeral home. The family will greet friends following the rosary.

Virginia B. (Shoemaker) Douglas was born on October 7, 1929, in rural Jewell County, to John and Merle (Dean) Shoemaker, and she passed away on February 2, 2023, at the age of 93, in Marysville.

Virginia graduated from Glen Elder (KS) High School in 1947, and she was united in marriage to Melvin Douglas on June 6, 1949. To this union two sons were born, Terry and Gary.

Virginia enjoyed arts and crafts, working on word search puzzles, and most importantly, spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Melvin, her sons Terry and Gary, sister Opal Glauser and brother Harold Shoemaker.

Her memories will be forever cherished by her daughter-in-law Lori Douglas, her grandchildren Toby Douglas, Tessa Douglas, Taylor Douglas, Robert Douglas, Skylar Douglas and Kayla Douglas. Virginia is also survived by her brother Delmar Shoemaker and sister Judy Weber.

Following graduation, he worked for the Santa Fe Railroad. After resigning from the railroad, he worked various jobs in the aircraft industry. He is survived by his daughter Marie Koehn, her husband Justin Key, Oklahoma City, OK; son Dustin, his wife Cassie, of Newton, KS; granddaughters Lakyn and Kinzie; and brother Gary, his wife Donna, of Hesston. He was preceded in death by his parents. There will be a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at the Hesston City Cemetery, with a light lunch following at Whitestone Mennonite Church. McPherson Marilyn Ruth (Potter) Land was born August 4, 1939, in Iowa City, IA, the second child and only daughter of Samuel George and Inez Irene Marcella (Wright-Carson) Potter. She had an older brother, Larry Eugene, and two younger brothers, Richard Samuel and Paul Frederick.

The family lived in Clarinda, IA, and Ruth, as she was always known to her family, attended Clarinda schools until 1956 when her family moved to Denver, CO where she attended high school, later graduating from Central Academy (now Central Christian College of Kansas) in McPherson, KS.

Ruth was married to Myron Black in 1963; her son Wesley Myron Black was born in 1964. She married Michael Milliken in 1981, and on April 13, 1991, was married to Jerome L. Land, with whom she had fallen in love as a teenager but had been prevented from marrying. They had a very happy 31 years together before his death in November 2022.

Ruth was employed at several different places in Colorado and California, retiring from Burroughs Corp/Unisys, where she was a purchasing agent, in 2001. She and Jerry moved from California to Moundridge, KS, in 2002.

In her younger years, Ruth enjoyed bowling, and was always politically active. She cheered on the Denver Broncos and the KC Royals and Chiefs. She and Jerry also enjoyed traveling together in later life and gathering with family in the holidays, with the 4th&nbsp;of July holiday being their favorite to host.

Ruth was brought up in the Free Methodist church. She belonged to Cornerstone Bible Church where she was baptized in 2022 at the age of 82.

Marilyn Ruth Land passed into eternity in the early morning hours of February 13, 2023, at Pleasant Hills Home in Hutchinson, KS. 

She was predeceased by her parents, husband Jerry Land, son Wesley Myron Black, brothers Richard and Paul Potter, sister-in-law Judith Potter, and great-nephew Christopher Shepard.

She is survived by her brother Larry Potter, Inman, KS, sister-in-law Dolores Phelps (Bernie Wieland) of Florida, and step-children Linda Hess of Idaho, and Steve Land and Todd Land (Jerry Reinke) of Joplin, MO, step-grandchildren Serena Riley, Skyler Land, and Ryan Land, several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Ruth will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2023, 10:00 a.m. at Stockham Family Funeral home, 205 N. Chestnut St., McPherson, KS with Pastor Josh Mills officiating. Burial will be at McPherson Cemetery.

HERINGTON Bernadine’s life began on October 28, 1932, in rural Delavan.&nbsp; She is the daughter of Harold M. and Mary Alma ( Putnam) Siegrist.&nbsp;

Bernadine was a 1951 graduate of Wilsey High School and had the distinction of being the only girl that played basketball on the boy’s team.&nbsp; 

She was united in marriage to Leonard Richard Louis Albrecht on December 16, 1951, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Herington.&nbsp; 

Bernadine loved sports of all kinds but especially baseball and basketball.&nbsp; She was a caregiver to her family and loved making people happy.&nbsp; Bernadine was a great cook and a wonderful homemaker.&nbsp; 

She is survived by her daughter Donna Staatz of Herington; son-in-law Kevin Gentz of Herington, daughter-in-law Jolene Albrecht of Salina, brother Marlin “Pete” Siegrist of Herington; grandchildren William (Jennifer) James, Dustin (Alexis) Gentz, Katey Staatz, Aaron Staatz, Kallie Albrecht, Morgan Albrecht, and Landon Albrecht; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.&nbsp; 

Bernadine passed away on Thursday February 9, 2023, at Herington Hospital.&nbsp; 

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughters Linda James and Lois Gentz; son Neil Albrecht and brothers Vernon, Lawrence and Alvin Siegrist.&nbsp; 

Her family will gather with friends on Monday, February 20, 2023, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Herington from 1-2 for visitation and her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. the same day.&nbsp; She will be laid to rest in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery following the service.&nbsp;

William “Bill” T. Erhardt, age 91, Concordia, KS, passed away on Monday, February 13,&nbsp;2023 at Smoky Hill Health and Rehabilitation Center, Salina, KS.&nbsp;&nbsp;He was born on July 13, 1931 in Concordia, KS to Louis S. “Butch” and Mable (Paillette) Erhardt.

After attending Concordia schools,&nbsp;&nbsp;Bill worked construction jobs early in his career.&nbsp; Projects he helped build locally included the Co-Op elevator and the St. Joseph Hospital.&nbsp;&nbsp;He later worked for the Cloud County Highway Department and then the Burlington &amp; Missouri Pacific Railroad.&nbsp;&nbsp;In 1956, Bill went to work at Cloud Ceramics.&nbsp; He would work there for 36 years, holding a variety of jobs in brick handling/loading/logistics.&nbsp; He was always thankful for his long career at Cloud Ceramics and the many friendships that came from it.

Bill married Phyllis M. Lawyer on April 14, 1949 in Seneca, KS.&nbsp; To this union, two daughters were born, Sherrie and Rozanna.&nbsp; 

Bill and Phyllis spent a lot of time fishing and camping at lakes around Concordia, including Lovewell and Glen Elder.&nbsp; After retirement, they enjoyed being “snowbirds” in Texas for a few years until Phyllis’ health deteriorated.&nbsp; She preceded him in death on September 17, 2005.&nbsp; &nbsp;

After Phyllis’ passing and following a heart attack, Bill decided to become quite active.&nbsp; He started walking laps at Wal-Mart almost every morning and began going to dances in Salina and the surrounding areas.&nbsp; He thoroughly enjoyed this activity and the new friends he made.&nbsp; In the later years, he became a regular at the Senior Center in Concordia, shooting pool and helping with lunch, rarely missing a day.&nbsp; Bill was an avid fisherman throughout life.&nbsp; He had his own bait that he concocted for catfish and like any good fisherman, Bill had plenty of tall tale fishing stories.&nbsp; He appreciated all of his fishing companions and the early morning hours spent on the water.&nbsp; Bill adored his granddaughter, Jillian, who spent many weekends growing up at her grandparents’ home.

Bill was a member of the First Christian Church, the former Moose Lodge #1428 and American Legion #76.

Bill is survived by his son-in-law Richard Radcliffe, Concordia; granddaughter Jillian Richard (Craig), Overland Park, KS; great-grandchildren Evie and Griffin Richard and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis; daughters Sherrie Radcliffe and Rozanna Erhardt; granddaughter Melissa Radcliffe; his parents; brothers John and Jim Erhardt; and a sister, Betty Alford.&nbsp;

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, KS with Pastor Bob Burns officiating.&nbsp;&nbsp;Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia.&nbsp;&nbsp;Visitation will be Wednesday, February 15, 2023 from 1-8 p.m. at the funeral home, with the family receiving friends from 6-7 p.m.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Robert Delane Nelson, age 77, entered eternal rest on February 9, 2023. He was born May 19, 1945 to Dowd and Mary Ethel Nelson (Moser) in Matthews, NC.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Robert&nbsp;graduated from East Mecklenburg High School in Charlotte, NC with the class of 1963. 

In October 1964, at&nbsp;the age of 19, he enlisted in the United States Army as a&nbsp;76Z Supply Soldier. He offered his service to his country&nbsp;for 22 years serving at multiple duty stations to include&nbsp;Korea and Fort Riley, KS. As a proud and patriotic soldier,&nbsp;he quickly rose in the ranks and was promoted above his&nbsp;peers. During his time in service, Robert received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with Bronze Star, Vietnam Campaign Award, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon with 4 devices, Meritorious Service Award with Oak leaf, Army Commendation Medal with 2nd Oak leaf, 6 Good Conduct Medals, and qualified Expert with his weapon, the M16 rifle. After years of exemplary service, Robert retired from the US Army in January 1986 where he was the First Sergeant of HHC Platoon, 1st Infantry Division at Fort Riley, KS.

In 1967, Robert married Patricia Wood, and to this union two children were born: Robert Nelson II and Teresa Nelson. They later divorced.&nbsp; In 1977, Robert married Patsy Lamb and also had 2 children: Tonya Fisher and&nbsp;Rebecca Allen. They later divorced.

Robert loved all things outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He loved coon hunting on his mules, especially old “Pete.” Robert was an avid fisherman, and known to always own a bird dog.

He was proceeded in death by his parents Dowd and Mary Ethel Nelson, his twin brother Richard, his brother J.L., and his sister Edith. 

He is survived by his beloved dog and sidekick, Cindy; his sister Christy Ramee (Mike), his son Robert Nelson II, his daughters Teresa Nelson, Tonya Fisher (Laura), and Rebecca Allen (Tim Coleman), nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The family has chosen cremation as were Robert’s wishes. 

A graveside service will be held at a later date. His final resting place will be in Prairiedale Cemetery north of Talmage, KS.

Helen M. Gleason, 78, of Salina, passed away Monday, December 26, 2022.&nbsp; She was born September 20, 1944, in Murphyboro, IL, to Walter and Willa Mae (Bower) Gregory.&nbsp; 

Helen moved to Salina with her family.&nbsp; 

She graduated from Salina Central High School.&nbsp; 

Helen met Gary Brown; two children were born to this union.&nbsp; 

Helen was a housewife until she graduated from Brown Mackie College, working at First National Bank.

Helen was a born-again Christian, loved working with people and became a Certified Med Aide, until her health wouldn’t permit anymore.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, John Schneider, Pete Schneider, and George Schneider.

Helen leaves ex-husband Gary Brown; two children, Lisa Brown and Larry Brown, all of Salina; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great-grandson; two sisters, Linda Vogan (Dennis) and Debbie Scruggs (Stanley).

Gleason, 78, of Salina, passed away Monday, December 26, 2022.&nbsp; She was born September 20, 1944, in Murphyboro, IL, to Walter and Willa Mae (Bower) Gregory.&nbsp; Helen moved to Salina with her family.&nbsp; She graduated from Salina Central High School.&nbsp; Helen met Gary Brown; two children were born to this union.&nbsp; Helen was a housewife until she graduated from Brown Mackie College, working at First National Bank.Helen was a born-again Christian, loved working with people and became a Certified Med Aide, until her health wouldn’t permit anymore.She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, John Schneider, Pete Schneider, and George Schneider.Helen leaves ex-husband Gary Brown; two children, Lisa Brown and Larry Brown, all of Salina; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great-grandson; two sisters, Linda Vogan (Dennis) and Debbie Scruggs (Stanley).A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Roselawn Memorial Park.To&nbsp;<a href="https://www.ryanmortuary.com/obituary/Helen-Gleason/sympathy-landing">send flowers</a>&nbsp;to the family or&nbsp;<a href="https://www.ryanmortuary.com/obituary/Helen-Gleason/1074854/memorial-tree">plant a tree</a>&nbsp;in memory of Helen M. Christine M. Ahlquist, 43, Delphos, died Friday, February 10, 2023, at the Ottawa County Health Center, Minneapolis.&nbsp;

She was born August 16, 1979 in Denver, CO to Donald and Mabel (Carpenter) Ahlquist.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 15 at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis. Memorials may be made to the family (Don Ahlquist) to help with expenses and may be left in care of the funeral home. &nbsp;&nbsp;

Michael J. Mick, 74, Salina, peacefully passed away Friday, February 10, 2023, at the Salina Regional Health Center with his family at his side. He was born June 22, 1948, in Beloit, Kansas to James and Leola (Belden) Mick.

Mike was a 1966 graduate of Bennington High School. 

He and Leanna Ditto were united in marriage on August 7, 1966, in Salina.&nbsp;

He was born June 22, 1948, in Beloit, Kansas to James and Leola (Belden) Mick.Mike was a 1966 graduate of Bennington High School. He and Leanna Ditto were united in marriage on August 7, 1966, in Salina.&nbsp; After serving in the United States Air Force, he started Mick Brothers Construction with his brother, Norman. He then went on to lead the engineering department at KASA Industrial Controls. After his retirement from KASA, he and his wife started, owned and operated Cabinet Connection in Salina.He was preceded in death by his parents.Survivors are his wife of 56 years, Leanna; sons Jeff Mick, Jerry Mick and wife, Rena; grandsons Gunner Mick and wife, Michaelyn, Kyler Mick and wife, Rhiana; and brothers Steve Mick and wife, Karen, Norman Mick and wife, Nancy.Memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 17 at the First Baptist Church, 843 Lewis, Salina, KS 67401.&nbsp; Inurnment will be in Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis, at a later date.&nbsp; Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, American Heart Association, or the Crohn’s &amp; Colitis Foundation, and may be left in care of Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O.
