HERINGTON - A minor earthquake rattled part of Dickinson County early this morning.

According to the Kansas Geological Survey, a 2.4 magnitude quake struck just northwest of Herington at 12:04 a.m. Tuesday. The quake was centered east of Union Road between 600 Avenue and Kansas Highway 4.

Two minor earthquakes shook parts of Saline and Dickinson counties this morning.

A magnitude 2 earthquake struck at 7:48 a.m. Tuesday just northwest of Assaria, according to the Kansas Geological Survey. The quake was centered north of Assaria Road between S. Old U.S. 81 Highway and Interstate 135.

Then, a magnitude 2.7 quake struck at 11:23 a.m. Tuesday southeast of Solomon in Dickinson County, the Kansas Geological Survey reported. The quake was centered south of Old Highway 40 between Barn Road and Camp Road.

Minor quake rattles part of SE Saline County Thursday

HOPE - Two minor earthquakes rattled parts of Dickinson County Wednesday.

The first was a 2.3 magnitude quake that struck at 11:02 a.m. Wednesday, a little more than two miles east-northeast of Hope, according to the Kansas Geological Survey. The quake was centered just east of Quail Road between Kansas Highway 4 and 800 Avenue.

The second, a magnitude 2 quake, struck at 2:43 p.m. Wednesday, approximately a mile further northeast from the first. The quake was centered northeast of the intersection of 800 Avenue and Rain Road.

According to the Kansas Geological Survey, the 2.1 magnitude quake struck further southwest of Gypsum at 10:46 p.m. Tuesday. The earthquake was centered just east of S. Cunningham Road between E. Assaria Road and E. Hedberg Road.

Two minor earthquakes rattled parts of Saline County this morning.

The first, a 2.6 magnitude quake, struck southwest of Gypsum at 4:14 a.m. Tuesday, according to the Kansas Geological Survey. It was centered just northeast of the E. Assaria Road/S. Whitmore Road intersection.

The second, a 2.2 magnitude quake, struck a little more than a mile southeast of the first at 4:26 a.m. Tuesday. It was centered just south of E. Hedberg Road and west of S. Kipp Road.

According to the Kansas Geological Survey, the 2.3 magnitude quake struck at 4:37 a.m. Friday southeast of Esbon. It was centered approximately a mile south of U.S. Highway 36 between 70 Road and 80 Road.

According to the Kansas Geological Survey, a 2.1 magnitude quake struck north-northeast of Assaria at 10:36 a.m. Thursday. The quake was centered southeast of the intersection of S. Ohio Street and E. McReynolds Road.

According to the Kansas Geological Survey, a 3.9 magnitude quake struck at 2:29 p.m. Monday in western Jewell County southwest of Mankato. The earthquake was centered northwest of the intersection of 70 Road and K Road.

The United States Geological Survey rated the quake at 3.5 magnitude.
