ESBON - A minor earthquake shook part of Jewell County early this morning.

According to the Kansas Geological Survey, the 2.3 magnitude quake struck at 4:37 a.m. Friday southeast of Esbon. It was centered approximately a mile south of U.S. Highway 36 between 70 Road and 80 Road.
