Kendall Ost, 70, passed away, Friday April 17, 2020. 

Survivors include his wife Mindy of 50 years, daughter Marcia (John) Hutson, son Brent Ost, and grandsons Ross and Luke Hutson. 

A private family ceremony will be held at a later date.

Martin E. Travis, 66, died April 19, 2020.

He was born December 30, 1953 in Trenton, Missouri to the late Roy and Martha (Martin) Travis.

He was united in marriage to Doris Tharp on November 11, 1992 and to this union, two sons were born.

He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Bill and Steve Travis.

Public view will be held on Thursday, April 23 from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home. The family will not be present.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Gordon Keith Hiebert

Proving the two certainties in life, death and taxes,&nbsp;Peggy Gayle Frank&nbsp;passed away peacefully in her bed, surrounded by love, on April 15, 2020. After three years of wagering a much stronger battle than pancreatic cancer had bargained for, her Lord and Savior decided it was time for her to come home.

She leaves behind a wonderful family and kitchen full of memories, cookbooks, and seemingly hundreds of other assorted utensils. Her family is now left to figure out their use. Luckily, she handed down her passion and skill set in the kitchen to her daughter, who now by default becomes responsible for the utensil inventory and disbursement.

In August of 1956 she was born the daughter of Gale (deceased) and Esther (Poppe) Doner in Salina, KS. Throughout her 63 wonderful years she touched countless lives. Every person she interacted with felt as though they were, at that moment in time, the most important thing in the world. Her charm, charisma, and kindness were infectious. Many described this amazing wife, mother, daughter, aunt, sister, and Gigi as “a bright light,” “a sparkle,” and “special.”

Growing up in both Salina and Wichita with her siblings, Greg and Phyllis who both sorely miss and survive her, she learned to love both communities. On February 9, 1974, her travels brought her back to Salina, and in the pre-pandemic days when bars were open, made an appearance at The Pub on Broadway with her best friend at the time. That night a young man full of machismo and a need of refinement made a lasting impression on Peggy. So much so that when he sent her a Valentine’s Day card the following week, she had to ask her friend “Who the hell is Joe Frank?”

May 1, 2020 would have marked 44 generally magnificent years of marriage for Joe and Peggy. Her husband was her best friend, rock, and advocate, none more so than the past three years. He misses her more than words can describe.

In their prime Joe and Peggy loved to travel, especially to beach destinations. Happiness for Peggy was simply sitting by a pool or beach, with a book or magazine in one hand and a drink in the other, alongside friends and/or family.

Some say the smartest thing Peggy and Joe ever did was have children. Andy and Nicole Frank, Jeff and Kit Frank, and Rebecca (Frank) and Matt Nykiel wish every day she remained a text or phone call away as she had been their entire lives. They provided seven terrific grandkids that absolutely adored the lady they called Gigi.

Ainsley, Josephine (Joey, and Emmylou; Waylon, Boone, and their soon-to-be brother; and Cooper &amp; Tucker were the pride of Gigi’s life. She could not wait to be a Gigi and once given the opportunity she was the best. The absolute best. Able to reach her grandkids on every level possible, she loved nothing more than baking cookies, going shopping, or reading a book with her grandkids. It was impossible to tell who enjoyed the moments more, Gigi or the grandkids.

While being a homemaker and putting family first, she also found time and joy in being a part of two elite sisterhoods: her local PEO chapter and the HMB’s, a group of elite shopping and traveling assassins. Both groups provided her great joy, on wildly different levels.

Peggy was always quick to help when asked, or when she saw the need for support. Her selflessness was natural and genuine, invariably putting those around her first. This characteristic was evident in her involvement at St. Elizabeth’s Parish, lending advice on home decorating, comforting those in times of need, or being ever available to simply listen.

She possessed a powerful, unwavering faith that stood as a testament to how she lived. She embraced the belief that life is not merely a series of meaningless accidents or coincidences, rather God’s plan for everyone. Through this belief she inspired those around her and made them better people, never seeking praise nor recognition, only humbly asking they continue to love and encourage each other in their daily lives.

Peggy will be greatly missed by many but never, ever forgotten. Her husband and children continue to make it their mission to instill every bit of Gigi in her grandchildren and the world around them.

Ernest “Ernie” Anthony DiNella, 77, of McPherson, KS and formerly of California, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 13, 2020, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. He was retired from the U.S. Marine Corps and serving from 1961 to 1981, including two tours of duty in Vietnam. He also retired from the U.S. Postal Service.

Ernest was born on September 1, 1942, in Philadelphia, PA, the son of Vincenzo and Mary Rita (Morone) DiNella. He attended Bishop Neumann High School in Philadelphia and later earned his Associate of Arts degree from the Inter-American University in Puerto Rico. Ernie was united in marriage to Linda Jean Unger on February 6, 1965, in Elkton, MD. She preceded him in death on June 17, 1990.

He attended St. Joseph Catholic Church, McPherson.

Survivors include: three daughters, Andrea Ferguson (John) of McPherson, KS, Christina Fazio of San Clemente, CA, and Linda Jean Hall (Jerry) of San Juan Capistrano, CA; two brothers, Bruno DiNella (Karen) of Rosemount, MN and Frank DiNella (Betty) of Spring Hill, FL; five grandchildren, Briana Dooley (Bret, Ian Ferguson, Maresa Fazio, Kieli Hall, and Codi Hall; and many extended family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Joseph Catholic Church at a later date. Inurnment, with Military Honors, will be in the McPherson Cemetery

Glenda Lucille Cyr, 69 died April 17, 2020 in Miltonvale, KS.&nbsp; She was born on December 25, 1950 in Smith Center, KS, the daughter Gale and Lucille (Woods) Hatfield.&nbsp; Glenda was raised in the Cawker City community.&nbsp; She was a graduate of Esbon High School in 1968 and attended Miltonvale Wesleyan College for two years.&nbsp; Glenda married Larry Cyr on June 20, 1970, they made their home and farmed in rural Miltonvale.&nbsp; Glenda helped friends and neighbors in the Miltonvale community and worked at the Miltonvale Post Office.&nbsp; She was a member of F.C. Hill Memorial Wesleyan Church in Miltonvale and served as a 4-H leader for over 30 years.&nbsp; Glenda was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Terry Hatfield

Naomi Dean Nelson, 78, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Thursday, April 16th, 2020.

Naomi was born in Dearing, Kansas on September 9, 1941, the daughter of the late Vern and Vergie (Copeland) Walker.

She worked at Philips Lighting for 16 years.

Survivors include her husband, Floyd Nelson; three daughters, Francee Cox, (Doug Ochs, of Salina, Paula Tomlins, (Byron, of Salina, Peggy Jean Hughes, (Pat, of Guam; son, John Hiebsch, (Wendy, of Wichita. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

A private family memorial service will be held.

Interment will take place at Gypsum Hill Cemetery Salina, Kansas.

Curt Neil Becker



Ruth Marion Dodge, 95, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away Thursday morning, April 16, at 807 Cedars House. Born November 18, 1924, in Racine, WI, to Ingebjorg Margreta Jenson and Lincoln Andrew Peterson, Ruth graduated from Park High School in Racine and was active in her local Methodist church where she was frequently called upon to sing vocal solos.

On October 18, 1947, Ruth was united in marriage to George Sebastian Stecher, also of Racine. They set up their first home in the upper floor flat of Ruth’s parents’ home on Maple Street. To this union were born two daughters, Sandra Louise and Gail Marie.

Prior to staying home with their two girls, Ruth had worked for J.I. Case Company of Racine. When re-entering the work force after relocating to Milwaukee, she was employed by an insurance company; later she sold World Book Encyclopedias. In 1972 she and George moved to Wheaton, IL, to start their own business. There she served as an administrative assistant to the head of Fiat-Allis, then worked for Shonkwiler Real Estate Company in Glen Ellyn, IL, and retired from a position as Assistant to the Head of the Charitable Gifts Division of Northern Trust Bank in downtown Chicago.

Ruth loved her church, serving as a choir director and soloist, while being active in numerous women’s organizations. In Milwaukee she sang in the Florentine Opera and the Lutheran Chorale. When living in the Chicago metro area, she and George were active in the Wheaton College Oratorio Society, the College of DuPage Vocal Ensemble, and the Glen Ellyn Grace Lutheran Church Choir.

Upon retirement Ruth and George moved to Lakeview, AR, where they spent nine years in a retirement community. When George’s health failed, they relocated to The Cedars Retirement Community in McPherson. Ruth was deeply moved at George’s death July 2, 2000. She became involved in community life at The Cedars Village, joined the Senior Choir at Trinity Lutheran Church, and participated in several women’s organizations at church. She also was invited to join the Domestic Art Club of McPherson and sang in the Bethany Oratorio Society. On March 5, 2005, Ruth married David Ray Dodge. She and David enjoyed five wonderful years together. After David passed away on July 3, 2011, Ruth returned to The Cedars Village. When health continued to fail, she moved to Assisted Living and for the past four years to HealthCare.

Ruth was preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband’s George Stecher and David Dodge, and siblings Earl Petersen, Glen Petersen, and sister, Dorthea Clope.

Ruth Marion Dodge, 95, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away Thursday morning, April 16, at 807 Cedars House. Born November 18, 1924, in Racine, WI, to Ingebjorg Margreta Jenson and Lincoln Andrew Peterson, Ruth graduated from Park High School in Racine and was active in her local Methodist church where she was frequently called upon to sing vocal solos.On October 18, 1947, Ruth was united in marriage to George Sebastian Stecher, also of Racine. They set up their first home in the upper floor flat of Ruth’s parents’ home on Maple Street. To this union were born two daughters, Sandra Louise and Gail Marie.Prior to staying home with their two girls, Ruth had worked for J.I. Case Company of Racine. When re-entering the work force after relocating to Milwaukee, she was employed by an insurance company; later she sold World Book Encyclopedias. In 1972 she and George moved to Wheaton, IL, to start their own business. There she served as an administrative assistant to the head of Fiat-Allis, then worked for Shonkwiler Real Estate Company in Glen Ellyn, IL, and retired from a position as Assistant to the Head of the Charitable Gifts Division of Northern Trust Bank in downtown Chicago.Ruth loved her church, serving as a choir director and soloist, while being active in numerous women’s organizations. In Milwaukee she sang in the Florentine Opera and the Lutheran Chorale. When living in the Chicago metro area, she and George were active in the Wheaton College Oratorio Society, the College of DuPage Vocal Ensemble, and the Glen Ellyn Grace Lutheran Church Choir.Upon retirement Ruth and George moved to Lakeview, AR, where they spent nine years in a retirement community. When George’s health failed, they relocated to The Cedars Retirement Community in McPherson. Ruth was deeply moved at George’s death July 2, 2000. She became involved in community life at The Cedars Village, joined the Senior Choir at Trinity Lutheran Church, and participated in several women’s organizations at church. She also was invited to join the Domestic Art Club of McPherson and sang in the Bethany Oratorio Society. On March 5, 2005, Ruth married David Ray Dodge. She and David enjoyed five wonderful years together. After David passed away on July 3, 2011, Ruth returned to The Cedars Village. Arlen Darrel Sutton,88, passed away peacefully Monday, April 13, 2020, surrounded by his loving family. Darrel was born to Tommy and Lillie (Grover) Sutton on May 23, 1931 on a farm south of Speed, Kansas. He was raised in a farming community and grew up with a strong mid-western work ethic of always helping friends, family and neighbors.

After graduating from Stockton High School, in Stockton, Kansas, in 1949, Darrel joined the United States Navy in 1950. During the Korean War, he served on the USS Whiteside AKA 90, Attack Cargo Ship, and the USS Newport News CA-148, Des Moines Class Heavy Cruiser. It was there that he served as a refrigeration mechanic. He received an Honorable Discharge from the US Navy in 1954.

After returning from service, he worked in the heating &amp; air and sheet metal industries in Kansas, Iowa and Missouri.

In 1970, he made a brave career leap and changed his occupation. He became a traveling salesman, selling vacuums door to door around the state of Kansas. Realizing this was a difficult transition, Darrel then began working out of a shop on South Broadway, AAA Airway Vacuum in Salina. He eventually opened his own successful vacuum and sewing machine business a few doors down and renamed it Sutton's Shoppe. Darrel's outgoing personality made it the perfect career fit, setting outstanding sales records, which fulfilled one of his greatest lifetime goals.

Darrel was actively involved as a Mason York Rite, the Scottish Rite (Knights Commander of the Court of Honor (KCCH)) and a member of the ISIS Shrine. He became an ISIS Shrine Clown and President of the ISIS Shrine Clowns in 1977 and earned the prestigious position of ISIS Temple Potentate in 1983. Much of Darrel's involvement with the Shriner's was spent working with the Shriner’s Burn and Crippled Children's Organization for children located in Houston and Galveston, Texas, and Mexico. Other organizational memberships included the Cross of Constantine/York Rite of Salina, Loyal Order of the Moose, Elks Lodge #1675, VFW Post #1432 in Salina, Russell Shrine Club, Abilene Elks, Wagon Master for the Nomads, Nomad Shrine in McAllen, TX, and the American Legion Post #93 in Mission, TX.

After retirement in the early 90's, Darrel and his wife Ardis traveled extensively by RV in the United States. They saw all 50 states, as well as several countries abroad. Darrel always took the time to share his exciting travel adventures with friends and loved ones.

Darrel is survived by the love of his life, Ardis (Bevan) Sutton, whom he married in 1964; four daughters, April Boyer (Dennis, Becky Rageth, Cheri Smock, Dena Starnes Jr. (Ray); son, Jeff Sutton (Shari); and brother, Larry. He was blessed with 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. He was a proud father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Darrel was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Cleo and Wayne; and son-in-law, Barry Smock.

Darrel will always be remembered as a man who was eternally grateful for his loving wife, his five wonderful children and a lifetime circle of extended family. Darrel's friends will remember his humor, quick wit and supply of endless jokes and stories.

Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, there will be no formal service at this time. Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. Sunday, April 19, at Ryan Mortuary, 137 North Eighth St., Salina, Kansas. A private family burial will be at his final resting place at Kansas Veteran's Cemetery, WaKeeney, Kansas. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date to honor Darrel.

Charitable donations may be made to the Shriner's Burn and Crippled Children's Organization or the American Heart Association, in care of Ryan Mortuary.

WICHITA —&nbsp;Eugene Thomas Wilson,79, died April 12, 2020. He was born Jan. 25, 1941 in Murray, Utah, the son of Arthur and Carrie (Berlin) Wilson. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and had worked for Beech Aircraft for more than 20 years in Salina and Wichita, KS.

Gene married Judy Davis January 26, 1963. She died 2010. He is also preceded in death by his son Jeffrey.

Sandra Ann Huntington, 76, Waldo, went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, April 15, 2020. She was born January 10, 1944 in Ogden to Ward C. and Letty C. (Cummings) Nations.

Sandy was a homemaker and a member of New Beginnings Fellowship Church in Minneapolis.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Roger Nations.

Survivors are her husband, John; children, John Huntington, Mischelle Derting, Sharon (Lloyd) Sandlin, and Letty (Elton) Bender; brother, Ward (Sharon) Nations; sisters, Mona Robison and Jill (Bill) Kizziar; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

James "Lee" Schoming, died at Bethany Home - Lindsborg on Tuesday April 14th.  Born March 26, 1945, Lee was the only child of the late Nicholas and Alice Magnuson Schoming.  

     Lee was a life-long resident of Roxbury until entering Bethany Home in 2015.  Lee Graduated from Roxbury High School and worked many years for his father at Sunny Side Service in Roxbury. Later in life, Lee worked as a welder, and was cemetery sexton at the Roxbury Cemetery.

Al (Albert) T. Herrman, 86, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2020 in Lindsborg, KS. He was born January 1, 1934 in Liebenthal, KS to Nicholas and Veronica (Legleiter) Herrman.

Al married Mary L. Brungardt on September 8, 1956 in Hays, KS. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. Al was a longtime resident of Great Bend, KS where he and his wife, Mary, owned and operated Al and Mary’s Hair Styling. After retirement, Al and Mary moved to Salina, KS and later to Lindsborg, KS. &nbsp;He was a member of St. Bridget’s of Sweden Catholic Church in Lindsborg.

Al (Albert) T. Herrman

Barbara Elaine Hay, 82, passed away at Diversicare Nursing Home in Council Grove, Kansas April 13th, 2020. Barbara was born June 2, 1937.

“Barb” as she was affectionately known to her family&nbsp;and many friends, grew up&nbsp;in Maine, graduating from Samuel D. Hanson High School with high honors. In the summers, she worked at one of the old resorts, Cape Rozier. Barb loved to remember those years.

She attended Ottawa University where she met the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Hay. They married on May 27, 1956 at the Methodist Church in Ottawa, Kansas.

Bob and Barb have four&nbsp;children. Their first, Janet Lynn, was premature and died five days later. Barb is survived by her 3 remaining children, Kimberly Sue Hay, 61, of Snowmass Village, Colorado, Christopher Scott, 58,&nbsp;and his wife, Michelle, Lincoln,&nbsp;Nebraska, Douglas Robert, 54, and his wife, Michele of Shawnee, Kansas. Barb is&nbsp;also survived by her husband, Bob, and his sister, Joan Stone-Stewart, of Waverly, Kansas and Bob’s brother, Vernon Hay who married Barb’s sister, Polly. Vern and Polly also live in Council Grove, Kansas and have 2 sons, Mitch, in New Hampshire and Jeff in California. Barb has five wonderful grandkids, Erin &amp; Kylie (Doug, Madison and Katie (Chris, two great grandchildren, Peyton, 4, and Elias, 14 months, both are children of her oldest grandson, Jason “Jay”, who proceeded her in death February 24, 2020.

Over the years, Bob and Barb made many moves related to promotions and job changes. Barb continued to pursue her education earning college hours where ever they were, ultimately graduating Suma Cum Laude in 1971 from Kansas Wesleyan University, Salina Kansas. She retired 25 years later in 1996 and was inducted into the Who’s Who in American Education by her former first grade students.

To know Barb was to love her; a quiet, gentle, funny, infinitely considerate and kind person who was a talented&nbsp;hobbyist in the old art of&nbsp;rug hooking. Barb created many beautiful pieces over the years and started two “hooking clubs” after her retirement. She made and nourished many friendships everywhere she and Bob lived and had a profound and lasting impact on her many, many students, some who were children and even a few grandchildren of her former students.&nbsp;

Barb and Bob would tell you, they have enjoyed a true story book love for each other for 65 years; a wonderful, full life together. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Barb will be cremated per her wishes. A memorial service honoring and celebrating her life will be planned at a future date.

Barbara was born June 2, 1937.“Barb” as she was affectionately known to her family&nbsp;and many friends, grew up&nbsp;in Maine, graduating from Samuel D. Hanson High School with high honors. In the summers, she worked at one of the old resorts, Cape Rozier. Barb loved to remember those years.She attended Ottawa University where she met the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Hay. They married on May 27, 1956 at the Methodist Church in Ottawa, Kansas.Bob and Barb have four&nbsp;children. Their first, Janet Lynn, was premature and died five days later. Barb is survived by her 3 remaining children, Kimberly Sue Hay, 61, of Snowmass Village, Colorado, Christopher Scott, 58,&nbsp;and his wife, Michelle, Lincoln,&nbsp;Nebraska, Douglas Robert, 54, and his wife, Michele of Shawnee, Kansas. Barb is&nbsp;also survived by her husband, Bob, and his sister, Joan Stone-Stewart, of Waverly, Kansas and Bob’s brother, Vernon Hay who married Barb’s sister, Polly. Vern and Polly also live in Council Grove, Kansas and have 2 sons, Mitch, in New Hampshire and Jeff in California. Barb has five wonderful grandkids, Erin &amp; Kylie (Doug, Madison and Katie (Chris, two great grandchildren, Peyton, 4, and Elias, 14 months, both are children of her oldest grandson, Jason “Jay”, who proceeded her in death February 24, 2020.Over the years, Bob and Barb made many moves related to promotions and job changes. Barb continued to pursue her education earning college hours where ever they were, ultimately graduating Suma Cum Laude in 1971 from Kansas Wesleyan University, Salina Kansas. She retired 25 years later in 1996 and was inducted into the Who’s Who in American Education by her former first grade students.To know Barb was to love her; a quiet, gentle, funny, infinitely considerate and kind person who was a talented&nbsp;hobbyist in the old art of&nbsp;rug hooking. Lloyd LeRoy LeDuc, age 85, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at Salina Regional Health Center, Salina, KS.&nbsp; He was born southwest of Aurora, KS on March 31, 1935 to Stephen &amp; Susie (Kindel) LeDuc.

He married Margaret Edwards on Aug. 26, 1956 in Clyde, KS at the Christian Church.&nbsp; LeRoy worked for brick plants in Boulder, CO and Concordia, KS. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;He also drove a milk truck and worked for Clyde area farmers.&nbsp; He enjoyed gardening, spending time with family, playing cards and embroidered many special keepsake items for his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret, Clyde; children, Debbie Deneault (Galen, Jim LeDuc (Susan, Ames, Dan LeDuc (JoDee, Clyde &amp; Sally Martin (Todd, Herington; &nbsp;his 9 grandchildren, Eric Deneault, Jenny Tischhauser, Tiffany Andrewjeksi, Kathy Sourile, Alan LeDuc, Adam LeDuc, Amber Schuessler, Jason Martin, Katie Martin &amp; &nbsp;his 15 great grandchildren, Gaven, Braelyn, Parker, JD, Owen, Madi, Hudson, Ace, Abel, Logan, Adam, Paxton, Oakley, Arthur &amp; Winnie and a sister, Betty Guinn, Wichita.

Arlene F. (Kandt) McWhirter, 85 formerly of Wichita, died on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020 at Saint John’s Living Center in Jackson, Wyoming.

A small family service will take place at Saint Phillips Catholic Church in Hope, Kansas on Friday, April 17, 2020, followed by interment at the Saint Phillips Catholic Cemetery in Hope. A larger memorial service will be planned when conditions allow.

Arlene was born on January 3, 1935 at the family farm near the small community of Shadybrook in Dickinson County, Kansas. During her elementary years, she attended the Union School, located very near the Kandt Farm. She graduated from Hope High School in 1953, and then attended Kansas State University, as well as Brown Mackie College in Salina.

She then moved to Wichita, eventually working for the Coleman Company. In 1956 she met Gene McWhirter, and they married on November 23, 1957 in Herington. They were married 56 years, and lived in Wichita the entire time, although with periodic extended stays in Seattle, Washington and Cody, Wyoming.

Arlene’s true passion was working (and frequenting) estate sales and garage sales. Arlene and Gene had one child, Douglas Eugene, who was born in 1964. In 2018, Arlene moved to Jackson, Wyoming to be closer to Doug and his family.

Arlene is preceded in death by her parents, Victor Kandt and Sophia Stroda Kandt, husband Gene, and brothers Edward, Elmer, and Kenneth Kandt. She is survived by son Doug, grand-daughter Sara, sisters Theresa Lorson and Berneice DeWitt, brothers Keith (Elsie) and Robert Kandt (Alicia, and sister-in-law Joan Kandt.

Margo Elaine Parker, 59, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 4:54 p.m., Monday, April 13th, 2020 surrounded by her family at her home.

Margo was born in McPherson, Kansas on September 8, 1960, a daughter of Vernon Lee and Nadine Yvonne (Perkins) Bonham.

Margo attended Windom Elementary School, Windom, Kansas and graduated from Little River High School, Little River, Kansas in 1979.

She was a member of Free Methodist Church, where she was baptized on Christmas Eve 2019, McPherson.

Margo was a homemaker and she took great pride in providing for her family in this manner. She also worked for Viega for 29 years and held several positions.

Margo enjoyed watching Kansas State Basketball and Football games, the Hallmark Channel, was an awesome cook and her favorite time of the year was Thanksgiving. She loved decorating her house for holidays, collecting angels and loved spending time with her family and friends.

Margo Elaine Parker was united in marriage to Jeffery D. Swisher on December 8, 2016 in McPherson, Kansas. The couple established their first home together in McPherson.

She is survived by her husband Jeffery Swisher, of McPherson, Kansas; her children, Jeffery M. Parker and his wife Tiffany, of Manhattan, Kansas, Michelle Leah Parker, of Parsons, Kansas; her mother Nadine Bonham, of McPherson, Kansas; her siblings, Vernon Bonham, Jr. and his wife Angie, of McPherson, Kansas, Carolyn Mitchell and her husband Ron, of Hutchinson, Kansas, Sandra Ladet, of Las Vegas, Nevada and Jackie Carlson and her husband Todd, of McPherson, Kansas. She is also survived by her Favorite granddaughter, Layla Parker and by her nieces and nephews, Andrew Bonham (Jayla) John Ladet, Danny Ladet, Nick Ladet, Nathaniel Schmalzried, Jenny Robertson (Kyle, Rachel Anderson (Brent, Katie Hawks (Jason, Emilie Galyon (Jake, and a special, sweet niece Alexandria Carlson.

He was united in marriage to Pearl Lavone Harrison on May 5, 1951.&nbsp; She preceded him in death on May 16, 2017.&nbsp; Bruce was a member of the Republican City Reformed Presbyterian Church and later the Four Mile Presbyterian Church. He is a current member of the 1st Presbyterian Church Clay Center.&nbsp; He served as a Sunday schoolteacher and elder in the church. In addition to his wife, Bruce was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Phillip Warren; brothers, Richard and William Jr.; and sister, Mary Jean Fowles. &nbsp;

Loun M. Crawford, 90, died April 13.&nbsp; He was born on April 12, 1930 in Clay Center, the son of George and Lottie Mae (Bergman) Crawford. Loun married Mary Adina Johnson on July 4, 1958, she preceded him in death on October 26, 2009.&nbsp; He worked for Erickson Building and Supply for 28 years and he owned and operated Crawford Cabinet Shop from 1974 until his retirement in 2008.&nbsp; Loun was a member of the United Methodist Church, VFW, where he was past commander, American Legion and BPOE, all of Clay Center. He was also preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Lelia Eye and Lois Lee; brothers, Leonard, Lawrence, Lowman, Lyman, Leeland and Lowell Crawford.

He graduated from Scandia High School in 1965.&nbsp; He served in the US Marine Corps from 1967-1969.&nbsp; He married Bonnie Lanoue on Aug. 2, 1974 in Concordia, KS.&nbsp; He was a diesel mechanic for Boogaarts Grocery and later Martin Tractor until his retirement.

Kenny loved to fish and was an avid pool player.&nbsp; He was a member of the American Legion.

Teresa Lynette Harriswas born January 3, 1963 in Belleville, Kansas to Herbert and Marcine Johnson.

Teresa left this life to join loved ones in Heaven April 12, 2020 at Salina Regional Health Center, Salina, Kansas. Teresa lived in Concordia, Kansas until she graduated from Concordia Junior-Senior High School with the class of 1981. Teresa moved to Salina, Kansas where she met the love of her life, Van. Together they raised two children, Amber and Ryan. Teresa spent much of her life working in the manufacturing industry. She enjoyed gardening, scrapbooking and time with family and her many friends.

Teresa is survived by her husband Van Harris of the home, daughter Amber Baatrup and husband Edmund, Newton, KS and son Ryan Harris, Salina, KS, sister Rita Youngers, Wichita, KS, sister Shirley Johnson, Topeka, KS and brother Michael Johnson, Pasco, WA, sisters in law Mary LeClair and husband Robert, Salina, KS and Kim Merry and husband Jerry, Salina, KS and brothers in law Vaughn Harris and wife Gail, Garnett, KS and Paul Harris and wife Delores, Roxbury, KS, many nieces and nephews and countless friends. Teresa will also be missed by her beloved pets, her two dogs-Sam and Maggie and Ezekiel the wonder cat. She was preceded in death by her parents, niece Kelly Johnson, her father in law Eugene Harris and two brothers in law, Robert Youngers and James Johnson.

Teresa will be cremated, and the family will plan a celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the Salina Animal Shelter. Memorials can be sent to 2308 Rivertrail Rd, Salina, KS 67401 in care of Teresa Harris.

Teresa lived in Concordia, Kansas until she graduated from Concordia Junior-Senior High School with the class of 1981. Teresa moved to Salina, Kansas where she met the love of her life, Van. Together they raised two children, Amber and Ryan. Teresa spent much of her life working in the manufacturing industry. Jimmie L Koehn, 78, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 2:40 p.m., Saturday, April 11th, 2020 while in the company of family members, at McPherson Health And Rehab.

Jimmie was born in Dodge City, Kansas on December 20, 1941, a son of Verna (Abrahams) and Ormand Koehn.

Jim attended Grasshopper County School and Harmony Country School and graduated from Galva High School, Galva, Kansas in 1959. He later attended Insurance School where he received his Insurance License.

He was a former member of First Mennonite Church McPherson and later transferred his membership to the New Hope Evangelical Church, McPherson, Kansas.

Through the years, Jim worked as a salesman for Jantz - Kaufman John Deere and later as a salesman and insurance agent for Farmland Industry, both of McPherson, Kansas and was a self employed Insurance Agent.

Jim enjoyed growing up on the farm, spending time out doors, playing sports, especially participating in Baseball and Basketball but loved to watch all sports, and spending time with his family.

Jimmie Lee Koehn was united in marriage to Myreta Mae Jantz on October 7, 1960 at Emanuel Mennonite Church, rural Galva, Kansas. The young couple established their first home together in Indianapolis, Indiana until 1962 when they moved to Galva, Kansas. This union was blessed with three children, two sons and a daughter, Scott,Marcia, Zachary. In 1981 they moved to McPherson.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of over fifty-nine years, Myreta Koehn, of McPherson, Kansas; his children, Scott Koehn and his wife Tammy, of McPherson, Kansas, Marcia Winters, of Seracy, Arkansas, and Zachary Koehn and wife Ariel, of McPherson, Kansas; his sisters, Judy Anderson and husband Royce, of McPherson, Kansas and Joyce Benning and her husband Craig, of Moundridge, Kansas; his two grandchildren, Stephane Pratt, Bryce Koehn; his six great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Wyatt, Xvaier, Kaly, Merrick, and Makenna; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
