KIPP -&nbsp;Harry Stanley "Stan" Koglerlost his battle with bullous pemphigoid on July 26, 2020. He passed peacefully, surrounded by family. He was a devoted husband, father, dad, grandfather, great-grandfather, neighbor and friend to all who knew him. Stan lived his entire 83 years in the Kipp area and was a self-taught country electrician, plumber and farmer. As a youngster his fondest memories were playing baseball and basketball with Don Johnson and Gerald Swanson, riding horseback to school with George Currie and drag racing with Charlie Waddle. At the young age of 22 he married Joan Totten Seim after she lost her husband and his best friend Gale Seim. Stan helped raise and adopted her two children Larry Kogler Seim and Pam Kogler Seim Beardmore. The couple had a third child Duane Kogler.

If you ever had an electrical or plumbing issue and lived in the country and within a 50-mile radius of Kipp, Stan probably helped you fix it. As a "jack of all trades" Stan was the last of a dying breed. He was also a grain farmer, often helped by nephew Ron in the later years. Stan was an avid hunter of game birds on the home place. But one of his biggest highlights was shooting and dressing a record 7-point bull elk in Colorado where he and Joan would go hunting every October. The trophy still hangs in his home office.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Lucille; sister, Darlene.

He is survived by his wife, Joan; son, Larry and wife Laura, their children Michael and Meredith; daughter, Pam and husband Dave, their children, Allison, Madison, Emily; son, Duane and wife Karen, their children, Matthew, Daniel and Katie; great-grandchildren, Charli, Kimbal, Sloane; brother, Marvin and wife Anabelle; sister: Carolyn.

Service will be streamed live at&nbsp;<a href="http://www.triumc.org/stan-kogler" target="_blank">www.triumc.org/stan-kogler</a>&nbsp;on Thursday, July 30 at 11 a.m. A memorial celebration will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Gypsum Valley Cemetery in Gypsum, Kansas.

Memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church and are in care of Ryan Mortuary, 137 North Eighth Street, Salina, Kansas 67401.

Wilma Jean McNee was born in Clay County on September 26, 1926 to James and Viola (Angelo) Fyfe. Wilma Jean McNee

Richard “Dick” Lee Swenson, age 70 of Concordia, Kansas died Sunday, July 26, 2020 at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Dick was born on October 14, 1949 in Concordia, Kansas to Emil and Helen Margaret (Benson) Swenson. Dick was baptized on Feb. 21, 1960 and grew up in the Concordia Baptist Church. He attended Sibley School (one-room school) through the eighth grade and graduated from Concordia High School in 1967. Dick then graduated from Cloud County Community College in 1969, and in 1971, he received a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and Industry from Kansas State University. Following graduation, he began a 40-year career working for Moorman Feed/ADM in several communities and became a district manager in Iowa before moving to Marysville, Kanas to be closer to the family farm. While in Marysville, he met the love of his life, Denise.

In April of 1977, Dick moved to Concordia, Kansas to begin farming. He was confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church and married Denise Duensing on July 30, 1977 in Marysville, Kansas. They were blessed with three sons: Ryan (1980), Kevin (1984), and Benjamin (1988). As a father, he instilled in his children a strong faith in God and the love of God’s creation. Dick farmed for 43 years and continued developing the Swenson family’s Registered Horned Hereford cattle – receiving the Breeder of the Year award from the Kansas Hereford Association in 2012.

In 2015, Dick, Denise, and Ryan purchased Duis Meat Processing in Concordia and Smoky River Meats in Salina. In 2019, Dick and Denise were nominated and were received into the annual Master Farmer/Master Farm Homemaker class at Kansas State University. Dick loved his family deeply. As a father, he never missed school events, games, or 4-H activities. Nothing stood between Dick and a K-State game – he made sure to pass his love for K-State sports on to everyone in his family. He was also the world’s best grandpa to three grandsons.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, Melvin Duensing. Survivors include his wife, Denise; children, Ryan (Melissa) of Concordia; Kevin and his son Nolan of Concordia; Benjamin (Jennifer) and their sons Walter and Gabriel of Phillipsburg; Brother Edward (Judy) of Emory, Texas; mother-in-law, Arlene Duensing of Marysville, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Friday, July 31, 2020 at the Cloud County Fairgrounds Commercial Building with Rev. Richard “Dick” Lee Swenson

&nbsp; William F. (Bud) Potter, 80, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020. He was born February 5, 1940 in Junction City, the son of Walter F. and Ferne J. (Nelson) Potter. 

Growing up in Abilene, he attended local schools and graduated from West Plains, Missouri High School with the class of 1958. 

As a young man, he competed in rodeos as a bull rider while training as a plumber and working construction. He worked for USD 475 and retired in 2002 as a master plumber. 

Bud had a life-long love of raising greyhounds. 

On March 22, 1969, he married Mary McCoy, spending their married life in rural Abilene.

He is survived by his wife, Mary of Abilene; daughter, Beth Gentry of Wichita; son, Brent Potter of Abilene; sister, Janie Hicks of Salina; 2 brothers, Rick Potter and Dan Potter of Abilene; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Family visitation will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, July 30, 2020 followed by an 11:00 AM memorial. Bud had chosen cremation. Services will be held at the LifeHouse Church in Abilene officiated by Chris Danielson. Danner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Betty Boaz, 91, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020. She was born November 29, 1928 in Selma, California to her parents Matsuzo &nbsp;and Tsuya Kuwano. She lived in Santa Maria, California for 13 years until 1942, when the family was relocated to a Japanese internment camp in Gila, Arizona. On Christmas Day, 1945, the family went from camp to Japan. &nbsp;She worked at the Sasebo Naval Base as a secretary, where she met her future husband, Kenneth Boaz. They were married 72 years and had nine children: Curtis Boaz, Elizabeth Polly, Cathy Boaz (Aloha), Genie Boaz, Karl Boaz (Becky), Rose Davied (Joe), Mitch Boaz (Jewel), Marla Boaz (Jeff), and Denise Boaz. There are 13 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. Many more called her “Mom”. She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth; her parents, 3 sisters; and her son Curtis. &nbsp;She is survived by her brother Hisao, 3 nieces and a nephew, all of California. She was a beautiful lady with style and grace. Her smile could light up a room. She took great pride in her family, her work ethic, and her lovely garden. She had many lifelong friends. &nbsp;We were all lucky to have her in our lives; she will be sorely missed. &nbsp;We love you and we thank you Mom. Wesley E Alexander, 63, died Sunday, July 19, 2020 in Clay County, Kansas.&nbsp; He was born on October 31, 1956 to Newell and Doris (Sloan) Alexander in Red Cloud, Nebraska.

Wes was a 1975 graduate of Mankato High School and earned a BS in Animal Science and Industry from Kansas State University in 1979.&nbsp; To begin his career, he worked in the banking industry across North Central and Central Kansas prior to pursuing his Registered Nursing degree where he worked until his retirement in 2019.

Wes was an avid sports fan.&nbsp; He loved all sports, and particularly enjoyed following K-State, the Royals, and Chiefs over the years.&nbsp; Another of his passions was farming which provided many years of enjoyment working along side his parents and brothers.&nbsp; There were not many conversations that took place with Wes that did not involve how the crops looked or how much (or little) rain was received on the original family farm between Mankato and Burr Oak, Kansas.

Wes is survived by his mother, Doris Alexander, Mankato, KS; sons, Brady Alexander (Samantha), Spring Hill, KS and Cortney Alexander (Van), Shawnee, KS; brothers Wade Alexander (Lynette), Mankato, KS, Wray Alexander, Orlando, FL, Wiley Alexander (Bert), Washington, KS, and Wynn Alexander, Coldwater, KS; grandchildren, Parker, Rowan, Liam, Maren, and one on the way; along with many more nieces and nephews.

Larry G. Moreno, 68, passed away Friday, July 24, 2020. He was born in Garden City to Juan and Santos (Gomez) Moreno.

Larry proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a Vietnam veteran.

One of Larry's passions was to volunteer in the community. He used his bilingual skills to help at the hospital and to translate documents for non-native English speakers. He also helped with the Red Cross Disaster Relief and was a member of his church prayer group.

Larry was preceded by his parents and five siblings.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Maria Moreno; children, Christina (James) Byrd, Larry Jr. (Alondra) Moreno, Jessica Moreno, David Moreno, Monica (Alfredo) Moreno, Elias Moreno, Alfredo (Jessica) Moreno; 25 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and five siblings.

Visitation will be at 5 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2020 with a rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 28th all at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Salina. Burial will follow in All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Salina. Face masks will be required.

Larry G. Moreno

Paul T. Rimovsky, age 83, died Saturday, July 25, 2020 at his home in Concordia, KS.&nbsp; He was born on November 15, 1936 in Norfolk, NE to Adolph “Babe” &amp; Eva (Goldsworthy) Rimovsky.

Paul graduated from high school in Norfolk and received a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Wayne State University.&nbsp; Paul taught music and band for 5 years in Nebraska.&nbsp; He married Dixie Hansen and to this union was born, Sheri, Kristi and David.&nbsp; They later divorced.

Paul came to Concordia in 1964 and began working at Tom’s Music House, where he later became the owner and operator of the store.&nbsp; Paul was an active member of the Concordia community and was involved in all aspects of promoting Concordia and Cloud County.&nbsp; He was a founding member and President of the POW Camp Concordia Preservation Society.&nbsp; Paul was active in the Cloud County Museum, Concordia Lions Club, National Orphan Train Museum, Brown Grand Theatre and was instrumental in beginning Youth for Music.&nbsp; Paul received several awards throughout his life including the Marian D. Cook Legacy Award from Cloud County Community College, the Kansas Band Masters Assoc. Lifetime Award and the Leon Gennette Award for Lifetime Achievement for Community Service.

Paul was blessed by his longtime friend, Marie Dochow until she preceded him in 2016.

Paul T. Rimovsky

Rocky Pfeifer, 61, loving husband, father, and Papa, passed away unexpectedly at his home Monday, July 20th, 2020. Rocky, a Hays native, was born to Rudy and Irma (Befort) Pfeifer in November of 1958. He spent most of his childhood living in Hays and Russell where he enjoyed all the freedoms of small-town living. As Rocky entered high school, his family moved to Salina where he joined the South High football and track team. Prior to graduation, his family made a move to Osborne which is where he finished out his senior year. For a few years after graduation, Rocky stayed in Osborne to help with the family restaurant, but he eventually came back to Salina to build a life of his own. It was then that he started working in food service management but transitioned to retail management when he joined the Kmart team. In 1997 he married the love of his life, Andrea. Five years later they decided it was time to make a change, so they purchased a retail business of their own, which he happily ran for the past eighteen years.

Rocky was hard working and extremely personable. It did not matter how young or how old a person was, if he had just met you or if he had seen you one hundred times, he was always able to find a way to relate and connect. With that being the case, it was not a surprise that people always gathered around him or that a quick trip to anywhere would end up being a not so quick trip. Although he did not have much free time, what time he did have he loved spending it with family.

Rocky was preceded in death by both of his parents. He was survived by his wife Andrea Pfeifer, five children - Brock Pfeifer (wife Bere), Chris Pfeifer, Ashli Taylor (husband Zack), Jamie Pfeifer, Ridge Saldibar, and eight grandchildren - Karady, Katie, Bayli, Gabe, Parker, Haemish, Myles, and Esmeralda. He leaves behind three brothers - Butch Pfeifer (wife Kelly), Rick Pfeifer (wife Missi), Dan Pfeifer (wife Athena), and two sisters - Roxanne Becker (husband Mike), Rebecca Nichols. He also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

&nbsp; Janice Cathleen Smith, 55, of McPherson, KS, passed away at 4:05 p.m., Thursday, July 23rd, suddenly, at her home. Janice was born in Monterey, California on May 6, 1965, a daughter of John Reed Williams and Judy (Thatch) Williams. Due to her dad in the military, Janice attended many schools all over the United States, and later got her GED from Emporia High School, Emporia, Kansas. She then received her Nurses Aide Certificate from Hutchinson Community College, Hutchinson, Kansas. Janice was a homemaker and she took great pride in providing for her family in this manner. Through the years Janice worked at many different places as a cook and a laborer. Janice was a member of American Legion Auxiliary and V.F.W. Auxilary both of McPherson. Janice enjoyed playing pool, listening to music and singing right along, and spending time at the lake with family and friends. She loved her grandkids and always looked forward to their visits. Janice Cathleen Williams was united in marriage John Smith. This union was blessed with the birth of two sons, Bryan and Jason. Janice was blessed with love from Ray Anderson all heart and soul. She is survived by the love of her life off and on of about 20 years, Ray Anderson, McPherson; her children, Bryon Smith and his wife Jamie Smith, of Wichita, Kansas, Jason Smith and wife Kathleen, of McPherson, Kansas, Rachel Crothers, of Raymond, Kansas, Lindsey Anderson and significant other Nick Alexander, of Kansas City, Kansas, and Aaron Anderson, of McPherson, Kansas; her father, John Williams of Monterey, California; her brothers, Brad Williams, of Chicago, Illinois and Bryan Williams, of South Carolina; her 15 grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. Janice Cathleen Smith

Jessica's life began on April 4, 1984 in Lawrence, KS.  She was the daughter of Darren Smith and Judy Kay Bickford. 

 Jessica was a 2003 graduate of Centre High School. 

 She was happiest spending time with friends and family. 

 Jessica enjoyed visiting the zoo, going to concerts and just being out the friends. 

 She had a helper's heart and was always there for her family and friends. 

 Her loving family includes her mother Judy (Bobby Thornhill) Bickford of Ramona; father Darren (Nicole) Smith of Tenn.; daughter Abagail Smith of Florence; siblings Chelsea (Andrew) Weber of Cedar Point, Jeremy Smith, Noah Smith and Jadean Smith of Tenn. and Jess Birdwell  of Tenn.; and her nephews Tucker and Paul Weber. 

 Jessica passed away at her home on July 22, 2020. 

 Her family will gather with friends at a later date to celebrate her life.  Yazel-Megli Funeral Home is serving the family.

&nbsp; Norma Jean Myers, 90, of McPherson, KS, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at her daughter’s residence in Garnett, KS. She was a homemaker, bookkeeper, and retired from Sterling Drug as a pharmaceutical assistant. Norma was born on June 29, 1930, in Geneseo, KS, the daughter of John William and Georgia Belle (Taylor) Stackhouse. On April 9, 1955, Norma was united in marriage to Richard Eldon Myers in McPherson, KS. He preceded her in death on September 17, 2009. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, McPherson. Survivors include: two sons, David Myers and wife, Jennifer, of McPherson, KS and Steven Myers and wife, April, of Apache Junction, AZ; a daughter, Laurel Maloan and husband, Brian, of Garnett, KS; four grandchildren, Whitney Barnes (Keegan), Kaleigh Oestreicher (Aaron), Tyler Maloan, and Sydney Myers; three great-grandchildren, Braxton Barnes, Brailyn Barnes, and Briar Barnes. Norma Jean Myers

Robert "Bob" Hansmann&nbsp;passed away July 21, 2020. He was born July 8, 1925 in Moorhead, Minnesota to Clara and Tony Hansmann. No one could have had a more caring and loving Mom and Dad.

Just out of high school Bob enlisted in the Merchant Marines as WWII was ongoing.

During a leave of absence during the war, he was married to his high school sweetheart Lois Miller on October 8, 1945 at St. Joseph's Church in Moorhead. While living in Moorhead, Lois and Bob were blessed with four children, Rick, Marilyn, Nancy and Carol. After moving to Salina, they were blessed with the birth of Theresa "Terri."

Bob was proceeded in death by his Mom and Dad; his loving wife of 62 years, Lois; his brother, Jim; his sister, Mary; his son-in-law, Jon Fuhrman; and his beloved daughter, Theresa "Terri."

He is survived by his son Rick (Marlene) Hansmann; daughters, Marilyn Fuhrman, Nancy Arrowsmith, Carol Garrett and former daughter-in-law, Pat Veach. His Grandchildren, Great-grandchildren and Great-great grandchildren: Tony (Gina) Hansmann (A.J. and Brady), Tonya Voltolina (Dakota, Olivia and Andrew), Erin McLean (Bailey Barry and Ella McLean), Clayton Thompson (Apollo and Amory), Aryk Weiss (Vincinnt), Jordan Peckham, Zach Weiss, Christian Weiss, Sean Fuhrman, Shanda (Mike) Baker (Ariel Craine and Ashton Craine), Travis (Carrie) Arrowsmith (Elijah, Charlotte and Samuel), Ryan Arrowsmith (Rigley), Nicole (Tom) Billings (Ashley, Katelyn, Emily, Haley and Riley), Phillip Garrett (Dane and Dash) and Allen Hansmann.

No one could have had a more caring and loving Mom and Dad.Just out of high school Bob enlisted in the Merchant Marines as WWII was ongoing.During a leave of absence during the war, he was married to his high school sweetheart Lois Miller on October 8, 1945 at St. Joseph's Church in Moorhead. While living in Moorhead, Lois and Bob were blessed with four children, Rick, Marilyn, Nancy and Carol. After moving to Salina, they were blessed with the birth of Theresa "Terri."Bob was proceeded in death by his Mom and Dad; his loving wife of 62 years, Lois; his brother, Jim; his sister, Mary; his son-in-law, Jon Fuhrman; and his beloved daughter, Theresa "Terri."He is survived by his son Rick (Marlene) Hansmann; daughters, Marilyn Fuhrman, Nancy Arrowsmith, Carol Garrett and former daughter-in-law, Pat Veach. Leo Thomas Roesner, 57, passed away unexpectedly at his home Tuesday, July 21, 2020.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Malin Tornberg of the home; stepdaughter, Emilia (Victor) Forsberg; and granddaughter Tyra of Lulea, Sweden. He is also survived by his mother, Mary Oâ€™Shea Roesner; sisters, Clara (Patrick) Hilger, Louise (Brian) Dunn, Joni Carver, Theresa White, Mary Katherine (Vaughn) Isaacson; brother, David (Karen) Roesner; and many nieces, nephews, and friends to mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert; and brother, Jim.

Visitation will be at 6 p.m. Friday, July 24, 2020 with a rosary and vigil service at 7 p.m. at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Salina. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 25th at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Solomon, KS. Inurnment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Salina.

Lorinda Anne Colantuono 77, died peacefully on July 22, 2020 at the Ottawa County Health Center, Minneapolis, KS after a courageous struggle with ALS. She was born on December 1, 1942, in Teaneck, New Jersey to Judge Leland Ferry and Lois Curtis.

Lorinda was a 1962 graduate of Teaneck High School, Teaneck New Jersey, and a 1983 graduate of Missouri School of Nursing Kansas City, MO. “Rindy” was a longtime LPN working at various nursing homes and Missouri Western Mental Facility.

On July 15, 1969, she married Dr. Joseph Woehl III in Hackensack, New Jersey. From this union one son was born Joseph Woehl IV. After being married, the young couple moved to Kansas City, Missouri for Dr. Woehl to start his medical practice with the VA.

After her first husband’s death, Lorinda married Thomas Colantuono in 2000.

She is survived by her son, Joseph Woehl IV; grandsons, Joseph Woehl V and Jacob Curtis Woehl; two brothers, Curtis Ferry of St. Augustine, FL; and Mike Ferry of Paris, France.

Due to Covid19, a private graveside service will be held at Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis. A celebration of Lorinda’s life is planned to take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made via alsfoundation.org.

Wanda Lee Hedgespeth, 73, lifetime resident of Morris County, Kansas passed away July 21, 2020, at the Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

She was born March 29, 1947, the daughter of Neil and Jessie (Burnett) Williams. She graduated from Council Grove High School in 1965. Wanda married Ralph Hedgespeth on September 24, 1965.

Wanda worked at different places throughout the years in Emporia, while raising her family.&nbsp; She retired in 2008, after working 28 years in food service for USD 417.&nbsp; She enjoyed cooking and loved feeding her family.&nbsp; After retirement her and Ralph enjoyed traveling.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters: Helen, Lucille and Karen.&nbsp; Wanda is survived by her husband Ralph; sons, Brian Hedgespeth and wife Melanie, of Salina and Paul Hedgespeth, of Council Grove; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and brother Dale Williams and wife Elie, of Council Grove.

Wanda Lee Hedgespeth

Pam’s life began on October 4, 1963 in Waseca, MN.  She was the daughter of Duane and Ernestine (Tincher) Goerend. 

 Pam was a 1981 graduate of Salina High School and attended Kansas University to study Criminology. 

 She was united in marriage to Brad Schick on June 11, 1988 in Salina. 

 Pam and Brad operated K4A2Z gun shop near White City and she was a shooting enthusiast.  Pam was a good shot and loved to shoot her guns at the range. 

  She loved cross stitching and made treasured family Christmas stockings. 

She loved to go camping at the Roaring River in Missouri where they would fish and she caught her first trout on one of those camping trips. 

Pam was very caring of others and would always worry about others before herself.  

Her loving family includes her husband of 32 years, Brad Schick of White City; parents Duane and Ernestine Goerend of Salina; sisters Kimberly Sue Willingham of Salina and Linda Sue (David) Rohleder of Salina and several nieces and nephews. 

 Pam passed away on July 21, 2020 at Salina Regional Medical Center.

Agnes Olah, 68, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2020, at her Johnstown apartment.

Agnes was born in Budapest, Hungary on September 17, 1951 to Tibor and Margaret (Mikle) Olah. Agnes was 6 years old when the family left Hungary and moved to Winnipeg, Canada. After 8 years the family moved to Fargo, ND and became United States citizens.

After high school, Agnes attended North Dakota State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Bacteriology. In 1996 she became the Microbiology Lab Supervisor for Tony's Pizza Service in Salina where she worked for over 15 years.

Agnes is survived by her aunt, Martha Olah; cousins, Robert Olah (and a daughter) and Andrea Armstrong (and a nephew); and her deceased cousin, George Olah. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tobor and Margaret Olah; uncle, Julius Olah; and cousin, George Olah.

Many thanks to Hospice for the care and kindness given to Agnes and all her friends that helped take care of her. Memorials can be made to the Salina Animal Shelter in honor of Agnes who loved her cats. Cards sent to Ryan Mortuary will be forwarded to her family in Canada.

Patricia Lee Peterson, 83, of Salina, passed away in her home Monday July 20, 2020 with her loving husband Don by her side.&nbsp;

Patricia was born in Concordia Kansas on February 2, 1937.&nbsp; She lost her parents at age 4. She was adopted by her aunt and uncle, Henry and Bertha Herbin and raised in a very loving home in Jamestown KS. She attended K–12 at the school in Jamestown and graduated Jamestown High School as the class valedictorian. She married Don Peterson on November 23, 1962. Before they moved to Salina they lived in Kansas City where they had 2 children Ronald and Susan. Once in Salina, a neighbor told Pat that a good way to get acquainted in the community is to volunteer, and had an opportunity to work on the Asbury Bazaar. She later was the Chairman of the Asbury Bazaar and was the Asbury Auxiliary Chairman. A few years later she became involved with St. Johns Hospital Auxiliary and chaired their Bazaar and was the St. Johns Auxiliary Chairman. In the mid 1990’s she was the President of the Hospital Auxiliary of Kansas. She was member of the United Methodist Women and a Kansas Lioness Club. All of this while being a wonderful mother and wife.&nbsp;&nbsp;

She was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Peterson. She is survived by her husband Don, her daughter, Susan and husband Danny Brewer, Ronald’s widow Becky Peterson, six grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

The family will receive friends&nbsp; at the Ryan Mortuary on Thursday, July 23, from 4 p.m. to&nbsp; 6 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church, 901 E Neal Ave, Salina, on Friday July 24 at 11 a.m. followed by the burial in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina. Patricia L. Peterson

Geraldine “Gerrie” Bernice Nichols was born on June 8, 1928, the daughter of John W. &amp; Daisy Alva (Moss) Hull, in Wichita, Kansas and she passed away on June 30, 2020, at the age of 92, in Harrah, Oklahoma.

Geraldine married Morris E. Nichols on August 26, 1950 in Wichita, and to this union, they were blessed with three children. &nbsp;Geraldine worked as a travel agent for Braniff Airlines and a homemaker during her lifetime. Morris’s career took them to Henderson, KY and Ridge Manor, FL until his retirement.&nbsp; In 1992 they settled in Franklin, N. C., where they enjoyed their life in the mountains. &nbsp;They also enjoyed traveling for many years in their RV visiting Canada and 41 of the United States.&nbsp; After Morris’s death, Gerrie returned to the town she loved when they were first married, Belleville, KS.&nbsp; She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Belleville. Gerrie spent her final years residing in Oklahoma to be near her cousin Molly Reid.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Morris of 58 years, and her five year old daughter, Kathy Ann. She is survived by her sons, Michael Nichols (Shari) of Wakefield, MA, and Stephen Nichols (Anna) of Archbold, OH. &nbsp;Geraldine is also survived by her grandchildren, Matthew, Sarah, Thomas, Joshua and Matthew John, her sister-in-law Ruea Reed of Boulder City, NV, and her cousin Molly Reid of Edmond, OK, other nieces, nephews and friends.  </figure>Geraldine “Gerrie” Bernice Nichols was born on June 8, 1928, the daughter of John W. &amp; Daisy Alva (Moss) Hull, in Wichita, Kansas and she passed away on June 30, 2020, at the age of 92, in Harrah, Oklahoma.Geraldine married Morris E. Nichols on August 26, 1950 in Wichita, and to this union, they were blessed with three children. &nbsp;Geraldine worked as a travel agent for Braniff Airlines and a homemaker during her lifetime. Morris’s career took them to Henderson, KY and Ridge Manor, FL until his retirement.&nbsp; In 1992 they settled in Franklin, N. C., where they enjoyed their life in the mountains. &nbsp;They also enjoyed traveling for many years in their RV visiting Canada and 41 of the United States.&nbsp; After Morris’s death, Gerrie returned to the town she loved when they were first married, Belleville, KS.&nbsp; She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Belleville. Gerrie spent her final years residing in Oklahoma to be near her cousin Molly Reid.She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Morris of 58 years, and her five year old daughter, Kathy Ann. She is survived by her sons, Michael Nichols (Shari) of Wakefield, MA, and Stephen Nichols (Anna) of Archbold, OH. &nbsp;Geraldine is also survived by her grandchildren, Matthew, Sarah, Thomas, Joshua and Matthew John, her sister-in-law Ruea Reed of Boulder City, NV, and her cousin Molly Reid of Edmond, OK, other nieces, nephews and friends. Geraldine “Gerrie” Bernice Nichols

Donna J Gasswint, 83, passed away Monday, July 6, 2020 in Abilene. She was born June 9, 1937 in Manchester, the daughter of August and Grace (Rector) Steinborn. 

Parents and siblings preceded her in death. 

On December 18, 1961 she married Roy Gasswint. All their married life was spent in Abilene. They were married 51 years when he passed away. 

She had worked at the telephone office in Manchester and as a maid at Preim's Pride in Abilene. 

Donna is survived by her daughters Lori (Scott) Wiley of Detroit KS, Dayna (Brad) Shaffer of Salina KS, Nita Dalton of Salina KS and her son Roy (Lisa) Gasswint of Abilene KS. 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. 

Donna had donated her body to the KU Medical School. 

A private family inurnment will take place at a later date. Memorials can be made to American Cancer Society. They may be sent in care of the Danner Funeral Home 501 N. Buckeye Abilene, Kansas 67410. Danner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
