Leota Fowles 94 died September 5, 2020 in Clay Center, KS.&nbsp; She was born on November 17, 1925 in Clay Center, KS, the daughter of Herman and Anna (Bauer) Friederich.&nbsp; Leota was raised in Clay County and was a Class of 1944 graduate from CCCHS.&nbsp; She married Wallace Fowles on March 20, 1945.&nbsp; They made their home and farmed west of Clay Center.&nbsp; In 1964 they moved their home to Clay Center.&nbsp; Leota owned and operated Fowles Fabrics from 1971 to 1992.&nbsp; Wallace preceded her in death on July 17, 2003.&nbsp; She was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church and the Stillwater Livewire club.&nbsp; Leota was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Coleen Terry; sisters, Anita Friederich, Gladys Trumpp and Wilma Trumpp; brother, Armin Friederich

Laura Riddell Patterson passed away on September 5, 2020. She was born on February 1, 1963 in Iowa City, Iowa. She graduated from Warrensburg High School in 1982 and moved to Concordia, Kansas in 1986.

Laura was a lover of many things. She loved Star Trek and Star Wars, along with the Lord of the Rings, the British Royal Family, Michael Jackson, animals and most of all purses. She was known to many as the “purse lady” and enjoyed going to garage sales in search of one or many for her collection.

She is survived by her mother, Joyce and sister, Audrey (Joe) Pilsl of Marysville, 3 nephews and a niece, and a conservator, Kathy Kirchoff, Beloit. All of whom she adored.

&nbsp; Shelby Littrell, Jr., 68, of McPherson, Kansas passed away at 2:47 p.m., Thursday, September 3rd, 2020 while in the company of family members at Ascension Medical Group Via Christi, Wichita, Kansas. Shelby was born in Coffeyville, Kansas on July 19, 1952, a son of Eva Ann (Smith) and George Shelby Littrell, Sr. Shelby attended the Lehigh grade school, Lehigh, Kansas and Hillsboro High School, Hillsboro, Kansas. George Shelby Littrell, Jr. was united in marriage to Roxanne Thompson on July 21, 1973 in Wichita, Kansas. This union was blessed with the birth of two sons, Jeremy and Jarod. Shelby Littrell was united in marriage to Joelyn Schroeder on May 29, 1982 in McPherson, Kansas. Through the years Shelby worked in the oil fields as a roughneck, worked in construction, worked maintenance for PizzaCo, and worked for Wutcherstep Farms. Shelby was a member of the Jaycees, McPherson, Kansas; Elk's Club and Eagles Club of Lake Havasu, Arizona. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, going to his grand kids sporting events, and spending time with his family and friends. Some of his favorite hangouts were the Play Pen, V.F.W., Peppy Partridge, Turkey Creek, Neighbors Cafe, Dairy Queen, to name a few. He is survived by his parents, Larry Garrione Sr. and Karen Rhodenbaugh; wife, Sherry Garrione; daughter, Stephanie; and two grandchildren, Dejanae and Jaxon; brother, Tracy Garrione (Sherry); sisters, Becky Braden (Bill), Stephanie Bell and Serena Heil; and nephews and nieces.

Larry loved to ride his Harley, fish and hunt. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

He married Karen Nordman September 6, 1962. They had two children, Michael (Kearney, Nebraska) and Kimberly (Emporia, Kansas).

Nicholas was a surveyor and heavy equipment operator and an avid fan of North Dakota State's football program.

He is survived by his wife, son, daughter, three grandsons, and three great grandchildren.

He served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years and retired from AT&amp;T in 1986. Don enjoyed life to the fullest and never met a stranger. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Wilson; daughters, Debra Boyer (Brian) and Marta Nelson; son, Brad Wilson (Angie) and three grandchildren, Travis Fisher, Anna Nelson, and Jon Nelson. Marti Jo (Valek) Wilber met her Heavenly Father on September 2, 2020, at the age of 47 years, 11 months, 18 days.&nbsp; She was born September 15, 1972, to Eddie and Marcella (Bouley) Valek.&nbsp;&nbsp; She grew up near Wayne, KS, the youngest of 7 kids (one, Jerry, died at birth).&nbsp; She enjoyed everything about her childhood, working hard alongside her siblings &amp; parents, fishing, hunting, caring for all the critters, cattle shows, harvest, putting bales in the barn by hand (except when Bill chased me with a snake in the hayloft – Bad, Bad Bill!), watching the sunrise and the sunset.&nbsp; She loved the family God put her in with all her heart.

She graduated from Hillcrest in 1991, Cloud County in 1993 (where she participated in Basketball and Track), and also attended K-State for a year (where she worked at Nelson’s Hatchery where she vaccinated thousands of baby chicks daily).&nbsp; In May 1995, she started working at Hillcrest and continued to work for the school system even after consolidation occurred.&nbsp; She continued to work for USD 109 until fighting cancer became her full time job.

Marti married Dan Wilber in September 1995.&nbsp; His playful spirit, ability to fix whatever she broke, and God’s blessing was the glue that bonded them in marriage.&nbsp; They had two children, Cameron and Tobi.&nbsp; It was at this point that Marti relinquished her place on the tractor seat and began grooming her mothering abilities.&nbsp; I have to admit, I never saw myself being a mother, but oh how God blessed me with two bundles of joy!

She still loved the outdoors, and the kids would always be found alongside her in whatever outside activity was happening.&nbsp; When the kids were in trouble, they didn’t have a naughty chair – they would have to do laps around the house.&nbsp; So, yes, you can thank me for being such good runners in H.S. and college.

As the kids grew older, the activities multiplied.&nbsp; If they participated in it, she made a point to attend every activity she could!&nbsp; Of course she missed some due to cancer &amp; West Nile meningitis, but neighbors and friends would always send pictures and videos so she could feel a part of the event.

God, kids, family, cattle, dogs and goats were her passion.&nbsp; She was sprinkled as a child, but baptized by submersion when she was 31.&nbsp; She was an active member of the Central Christian Church, Merry Meadowlarks 4-H Club, and the Kansas Hereford family.

She held such jobs as vaccinating chickens at Nelson Hatchery, scale operator at Cloud County Co-Op, tax prep for FMSI, Hillcrest USD 455 secretary/para/bus driver, and Republic County USD 109 secretary/para/bus driver.&nbsp; Her love for children never ceased.

Marti is preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Marcella, brothers Jerry and Randy Valek, nephew Jacob Valek, and brother-in-law, James Wilber.

She will be forever remembered by her husband Dan, son Cameron, and daughter Tobi of Belleville. Marti is also survived by her sisters Janis Krob (John) of Cuba, and Nancy Erickson (Glenn) of Maysville, MO; brothers Mick Valek (Donna) of Wayne, and Bill Valek (Resi) of Wayne; sister-in-laws, Becky Lewis (Craig) of Wichita, Charlotte Sullivan (Blake) of Wichita, Susan Thomas (Zach) of Lawrence, KS; her father and mother in law, Charles and Ruth Wilber of Belleville, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 4, 2020, from 9:00 am – 9:00 pm, at Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home in Belleville, where the family will greet friends from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2020, at 10:00 a.m., at the Central Christian Church in Belleville, with Pastor Jacob Rice and Pastor Mark Imel officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, rural Wayne.

Jon R. Snapp, 49, of Belleville, KS, passed away on September 1, 2020 at Republic County Hospital, Belleville, KS. Jon was born March 28, 1971 in Manhattan, KS the son of Lawrence B. Coleman, Jr., and Dianna K. (Trzicky) Snapp. Lawrence was killed in Vietnam when Jon was 4 months old and was later adopted by Thomas J. Snapp when he was 6 years old.

Jon grew up in Belleville and graduated from Belleville High School in 1989. He then attended Arizona Automotive Institute where he received degrees in diesel mechanics and automotive technology. Jon worked for Ken-Boy Motors in Hebron, NE until 1998 as a service manager and mechanic. He then owned and operated Snapp’s Service on Highway 36 in Belleville with his wife Karen for 6 years. Jon then began working for Melton Motors and was still employed there up until his cancer diagnosis. In addition to being an ASE Certified Mechanic, he was a General Motors Master Technician. In 2007, Jon was named a World Class Technician, a highly prestigious award from General Motors.

On June 27, 1993, he was united in marriage to Karen Morrissey. In 1995, Jon (at only 24 yrs. old) and Karen graciously adopted three teenage children: Jeremy, Shannon, and Amy.

Jon was an Eagle Scout and a member of the First United Methodist Church, Belleville, KS. He was a musician and played drums in the high school band. Jon was a self-taught craftsman. He had an amazing ability to repair or build any project you placed before him. He enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and in the great outdoors.

Jon was preceded in death by his biological Father, Lawrence B. Coleman, Jr; his grandparents, George &amp; Jane Trzicky and Bill &amp; Wilma Snapp; and his Father-in-Law, William Morrissey.

&nbsp; D. Gene Hill, 86, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, September 2nd, 2020 while in the company of family members, at his farm rural McPherson. Gene was born at his parents home in Mount Hope, Kansas on December 10, 1933, a son of Callie (Adam) and Glen Benjamin Hill. Gene attended Mount Hope Grade School, and graduated from Mount Hope High School, Mount, Hope, Kansas in 1951. He then attended Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas, until he was drafted into the United States Army where he honorably served his Country during the Korean War. After his discharge he enrolled at Hutchinson Community College, Hutchinson, Kansas where he also played football and transferred to Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg, Kansas where continued playing football and graduated. He later received his Masters degree from California State University, Long Beach, California. Gene Hill was united in marriage to Phyllis O'Neal on November 22, 1958 at First United Methodist Church, Hutchinson, Kansas. The young couple established their first home together in Allen, Kansas. This union was blessed with the birth of two children, one son and one daughter, Andy and Gwen. The family moved to Great Bend, Kansas for 3 years prior to moving to Santa Ana, California until 1968 when they moved to the McPherson area. He was a member of First United Methodist Church McPherson, Kansas where he was a member of the Methodist Men and served on the Church Board for 10 years. Gene was a farmer and was a Industrial Arts and Science school teacher and started teaching at the first consolidated school in Kansas located at Allen, Kansas, taught at Great Bend Middle School and coached football and track, taught at Santa Anna McFadden High School and Willard Middle School in Santa Anna, California; and taught at McPherson College, McPherson, Kansas. After his retirement he was a substitute teacher at several schools. He also ran for Kansas State Legislator in 1982/1983. Gene also managed a wheat farm in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia for several years. Gene was a member of the American Legion Post 24, Lions Club International McPherson, Mount Hope Masonic Lodge, Mount Hope, Kansas, and the Hutchinson Antique Tractor Club, Hutchinson, Kansas. He loved his family, farming, his old cars and antique tractors. He also enjoyed traveling, reading, teaching, was great at working with his hands and made many pieces of furniture and other woodworking pieces for his family. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of over 61 years, Phyllis Hill, of McPherson, Kansas; his children, Andy Hill and wife Kathy, of McPherson, Kansas and Gwen Hill-Czirjak and husband James, of Nashville, Tennessee; his favorite grandson, Austin Benjamin Czirjak; other relatives and a host of students and friends. D. Gene Hill

October 12, 1931~September 2, 2020(age 88)

Born October 12, 1931. She left this world peacefully after a long illness on September 2, 2020. Liz and her brother grew up on the family farm in Herrington, Kansas.  Her parents, Louis and Winona Cowman were lifelong residents there.  It was during that time that Liz developed her love of animals, large and small. 

 She had a great love of rodeos and for many years attended the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas with friends from high school and college. 

A great student, she attended Kansas State University and graduated in 1953 with a degree in computer programming. 

 She started her first and ONLY job at Boeing in 1953 until her retirement.  During her time at Boeing, she mentored many young men and women who would later become part of the executive leadership team at Boeing.  In a world where company loyalty is harder to find, she was a successful and proud member of her team until her retirement. 

One of Liz’ great passions were photography.  She also loved gardens and flowers.  For years, her service as a volunteer at Botanica served as her photographic muse and most of Liz’ friends have collections of her beautiful photography on their walls. 

Liz had a particular love of dogs.  Throughout her early life, she bred exhibited Shetland Sheepdogs in Obedience Trials across the Midwest.  She was very successful.  But it was her last Sheltie, Jiggs, that capped off Liz’ years showing dogs.  Jiggs was her most winning dog and finished ‘Best in Trial’ on numerous occasions.  When Jiggs was older and retired from the ring, Liz began her service to the dog fancier community by volunteering her time and knowledge to both the Wichita Dog Training Club and the Wichita Kennel Club. In the late 70’s she became interested in Miniature Poodles, partnering with her longtime friend, Pat Deshler to increase her involvement.  She not only showed Poodles in Obedience, but also became a partner in the breeding and exhibiting of the Deshler line of Miniature Poodles.  She quite enjoyed the experience and it proved to be quite successful—they bred the winning Best of Show at the 1986 Poodle Club of America National Specialty.  She loved those dogs and continued to have miniature poodles as companions until her death. 

In 2005, Liz undertook another volunteer project, helping Beth and Jay Tully launch Cocoa Dolce Chocolates.  In her position of cheerleader, grocery runner and chief taster, she impacted the entire staff with her dry wit, funny expressions and all-around good nature.  When she could no longer physically manage day-to-day activities, she continued to support the growth of Beth’s business until Beth lost the business in 2016. 

Liz is survived by her nephews, Jim Cowman of Kingman, Arizona and Gary Cowman of Griffith, Indiana, as well as hordes of friends from every walk of life.  

For all of those who knew Liz, you know she did not want to be fussed about or over. 

 She chose to forego a funeral and will be buried next to her parents in the Lost Springs Cemetery in Lost Springs, Kansas at a later date. &nbsp; Robert D. Hoffman SR, 92 of Navarre passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at Memorial Hospital in Abilene. He was born August 11, 1928 in Abilene, the son of Earl and Vera (Poland) Hoffman. 

He attended the local Chapman School District and graduated from DCCHS in 1946. 

On June 8, 1950 he was united in marriage to Mary L Neises in Oxford, Kansas. She preceded him in death June 26, 2012. 

Robert is survived by his sons; Bob Jr and his wife Kay of Hope, Ray and his wife Kathy of Abilene and Rick and his wife Laura of Hope; daughters Kathy Sulzman of Hays and Mary Blackwell of Abilene. Eighteen grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren. Brother-in-laws; John Neises, Dave Black. Sister-in-laws; Reva Hoffman, Betty and husband Maynard Smith, Vivian and husband Truman Ward, Beverly and husband Don Scobee, Leola Neises and Jeannie Nunemaker.

Salina -&nbsp;Larry L. Toothman, 79, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2020. He was born November 18, 1940 to Carl E. and Mary O. (Nunn) Toothman in Niles, Kansas. He was a US Marine Veteran. A life member of VFW Post 1432 and DAV Chapter 11 both of Salina.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Toothman, Salina; sons, Steven Turner (Cecelia), Tescott, Wayne Toothman, Lake Charles, LA; daughters, Chelsea Toothman (Christopher), Salina, Cindy Fontenot, Sulphur, LA; sister, Phyllis Turner, New Cambria; dogs, Beau and Bonnie; 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Pauline Crawford and Edgar Toothman; niece, Diana VanDiver.

Larry L. Toothman

Gale's life began on January 22, 1947, in Beckley, WV.  He was the son of Joseph Thomas Maynor and Jean (Reid) Maynor.  

Gale was a graduate of Valley Center High School and Wichita State University in 1978.  

He worked for Exxon/Mobil from 1971 until 1995.  Gale later went to work for ATT as an IT manager until his retirement in 2005. 

 He was united in marriage to Peggy Schomer on September 18, 1999, in Wichita.  

Gale was a member of Central Christian Church in Wichita, Gideon's International North Camp, and the Hash House Harriers running club when he worked overseas. 

 He enjoyed playing tennis, golf and especially loved his family. 

 His loving family includes his wife Peggy of Wichita; children Mathew ( Bethany) Maynor of Kansas City, MO, Michelle (Richard) Bartlett of Wichita, step-son Jeremy ( Becky) Stover of Wichita, and step-daughter Tara Ritter of Derby; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother Dale (Janice) Maynor of Wichita and Peggy (Ken) Wise, Mathew and Michelle's mother. 

 Gale passed away at his home on August 31, 2020. 

 He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Lynn Maynor. 

 Gale's family will gather with friends on Saturday, September 12th  at 11 a.m. for his memorial service at Central Christian Church, Wichita led by Pastor Darren McClintock. &nbsp; Sanford F. Enger, 92 of Abilene passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at Abilene Memorial Hospital. He was born August 14, 1928 in Portland, North Dakota, the son of Thorvald and Lena (Heskin) Enger. 

Sanford grew up in the Portland, South Dakota area, attended the local schools and graduated from Portland High School. 

On May 10, 1951 he was united in marriage to Esther Rider in Crookston, MN. She preceded him in death May 19, 2001. 

Sanford served from 1948-1951 in the United States Army. 

He was a machinist and lead foreman at Ershams (CE/ABB). He also ran his own machine shop for 10 years North of Abilene.

Sanford is survived by his Four daughters: Linda Myers (Steven) of Peoria, Illinois; Christine Enger of Abilene; Janice Dester (Steven) of Solomon; Rhonda Keating of Abilene. One son, Bruce Enger of Abilene. Nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Two sisters: Dorothy Homestead and Hazel Holter, and three step-children. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, loving wife Esther, daughter, Sandra Miller, son-in-law Chuck Keating and daughter-in-law Kelle Enger and four siblings.

Graveside Services for Sanford will be 10:30 A.M., Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Abilene City Cemetery with Pastor Stan Norman officiating. Juanita Tousignant passed from this life on Sunday, Aug. 30, 2020, at The Legacy of Herington.

A visitation will be held from 4 until 8 p.m. Friday at the Herington Chapel of the Yazel-Megli-Zeiner Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Herington. Interment will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Alan Stahlecker will lead the services.

The family has requested memorials to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, the Dickinson County 4-H Foundation or Hospice of Dickinson County.

Mourning Juanita are her daughter, Susan, and favorite son-in-law, Ray, of rural Herington; grandsons, Kristopher (Hailey) Mueller of Independence, Kan.; Jacob (Katie) Mueller of Springfield, Tenn.; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Juanita Sophia Gehrke was born on a farm near Ramona, Kan., on July 10, 1930. She was the youngest child of Carl and Sophia (Bruckner) Gehrke. She had seven older brothers: Arthur, Paul, Edwin, Leland, Oscar, Harvey and Lowell. All of them proceeded her in death. A daughter, Barbara Coleen Tousignant, passed away in 1966.

Juanita was baptized into the Christian faith as an infant at the former St. Paul Lutheran Church of rural Ramona. She was confirmed into the Lutheran faith and remained faithful to Christ throughout her life.

She was a 1948 graduate of Herington High School and she enjoyed the reunions with her classmates.

She was married to Robert J. Tousignant on July 13, 1951, at the Morris County Courthouse in Council Grove, Kan., during the Great Flood of ’51. They lived in several locations during his U.S. Army career but settled in Herington where they remained for the rest of their lives. They celebrated 51 years of marriage before his passing in October 2002.

Prior to her marriage, Juanita worked at a hardware store in Emporia. While working at Duckwall’s variety store in Herington, her favorite job was wrapping gifts. She always made every gift look special. Juanita also enjoyed working at Stiles Thriftway grocery store as a checker, where she greeted everyone with a smile and always memorized the weekly ad prices to give the best service to customers.

Juanita loved living in the country, happily mowing a huge lawn, tending to flowers and a plentiful garden. She helped care for many animals on the farm, passing that love of animals to her daughter. Among her hobbies were crafting and sewing, making doll clothes, quilts and several prom dresses. Every birthday was a reason for her to make a specially decorated cake. She had a “can do” attitude, even reroofing the barn after storm damage.&nbsp;

She was a 4-H project leader for many years, served as an officer in the Lyon Extension Homemakers Unit and supported her church, Our Redeemer Lutheran.

After the sale of the farm, the Tousignant couple lived on East Trapp Street in Herington, where they enjoyed having close neighbors. Due to health concerns, the couple moved to the Hilltop Apartments, enjoying daily meals and social life.

Following the death of her husband, Juanita continued to live at the Hilltop. She entered Herington’s assisted living unit in 2006. While a resident there, and later in the nursing home, she always enjoyed church services, bingo, card games, crafts and musical visitors.

Juanita was known as a sweet and loving lady, always willing to help out and care for others. She will be missed and mourned by many. But there also is rejoicing that she is now with God in heaven.

Doris Arlene (Zahn) Bennett, 87, of Salina, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2020. Doris was born September 24, 1932 in Miltonvale, to Otto C. and Cleo L. (Adams) Zahn. She married Bennie E. Bennett on April 15, 1951 in Hutchinson. They moved to Salina where she raised three daughters while attending Kansas Wesleyan University and Emporia State for her teaching degree. She then taught grade school in Culver and Salina. Later she went back to school for her LPN at Concordia and worked at St. John's Hospital.

Doris enjoyed gardening, canning and sewing. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; Bennie; infant son, Richard E. Bennett; daughter, Christine Burpee; son in law, Ronald Burpee; grandson, David R. Burpee.

Altha Elaine (Ives) Yoxall, age 92, entered into rest on Friday, August 28, 2020, at the Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, Kansas.&nbsp; She was born in Hays, Kansas on June 29, 1928 to Harold and Hilma (Fischer) Ives.

She was a 1946 graduate of Stockton High School, Stockton, Kansas.&nbsp; She was a Cloud County Community College graduate 1983 receiving her Associates degree in Nursing.

On December 28, 1946 she married Edward Yoxall in Phillipsburg, Kansas.&nbsp; He preceded her in death on December 21, 2004.

Elaine worked at the St. Joseph Hospital in Concordia as a Registered Nurse for 25 plus years before retiring.

She was member of American Legion and VFW of Concordia.

Elaine enjoyed spending time with her family, Reading, Playing marbles, Crocheting and Knitting and watching the KC Royals and Cheif's games.

Paul F. Anderson, of Salina, Kan., passed away peacefully on August 29, 2020. He was born in Chanute, Kan. to Ernest and Georgena Anderson in 1942 and had many fond memories of his years growing up there with his younger brother, Ronnie.

Paul was the first in his family to attend and graduate from college, earning a degree in Education from The University of Kansas. At KU he worked as an athletic trainer helping hundreds of athletes and sparking a lifelong passion for Jayhawks sports. After college he enlisted in the Navy as a Hospital Corpsman on the USS Sanctuary and the USS Kitty Hawk where he served in Vietnam. Following his time in the military, he taught and coached at Clifton Clyde before moving into the field of medical sales, retiring from Zimmer after a 40+ year career.

While attending KU he met the love of his life, Marcia. They were married for 55 years and the proud parents of Lisa, Charles and Matt. Paul raised three children by guiding them though the challenges of life and with his love and support. He was member of the First Presbyterian Church of Salina where he served as an elder. He also enjoyed working as a volunteer with the VFW and Scouts as well as his lifelong interest in track and field as a fan, participant and coach. One of his proudest accomplishments was completing the Pikes Peak Marathon.

Paul was a loving husband, amazing father, proud grandfather, caring great grandfather and true friend to many. He worked hard his entire life and cared for all.

Survivors include: wife, Marcia; children, Lisa, of Salina, Charles (Francie), of Denver, and Matthew (Jen), of Chicago; grandchildren, Nathan, Aaron, Regan and Charlie; and two great grandsons.

A private memorial service will be held for the family on September 8, 2020. Cards may be sent in care of Ryan Mortuary, 137 N 8th St, Salina, Kan., 67401.

Bonnie Christenson, 98, Tescott, died Tuesday, August 25, 2020 in Minneapolis.&nbsp; She was born in Tescott on June 20, 1922 to Jay and Neva (Perry) Chambers.

Bonnie and Clay Christenson were united in marriage on April 18, 1942 at the Ottawa County Courthouse. At the time of Clay’s passing, they had been married 75 years. They were longtime residents of Tescott.&nbsp;

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Clay; and siblings, Cecil “Jack” Chambers, Howard Chambers, and Marniece Chambers.

Survivors include her; daughter Suellin Renninson; granddaughter Heather Berry; two great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date in Franklin Cemetery, Tescott.&nbsp; Memorials may be made to Tescott Lions Club or the Tescott United Methodist Church and can be mailed to Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 166, Minneapolis, KS 67467.
