El’s life began on January 7, 1968 in Atka, Alaska.  He was the son of Elizar I. Philemonoff, Sr. and Fechla (Proskoff) Theboy. 

 El was united in marriage to Terri Diedriche on August 4, 1993 in Crescent City, CA. 

 He was a professional truck driver and loved driving big trucks. 

 El was a NASCAR fan, and especially loved Dale Earnhardt, SR and even had a black Camaro with the number 3 on the side.  He was skilled at working on cars and could always find a solution to any problem. 

 His greatest joy was his family which includes his wife Terri of Herington; children Nikitta Philemonoff of Herington and Leianna Philemonoff of Washington and Robert May of Washington; grandchildren Zackery, Marina, Hailey, Kandice, Phoenix, Derek, Nathan and Zoey.  

El passed away unexpectedly on August 26, 2020 at Herington Municipal Hospital. 

 He was preceded in death by his parents, and several siblings. 

 A memorial celebration of his life will be held at a later date led by Pastor Darrell Geist.  Yazel-Megli Funeral Home, Herington serving the family. Gwendolyn B. Schoshke, 94, Brookville, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2020.&nbsp; She was born October 6, 1925 near Beverly to Charles and Minnie (Gehrke) Pistora.

Gwen and Kenneth Schoshke were united in marriage on December 19, 1945 in Lincoln.&nbsp; She was a faithful farm wife and member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Tescott.&nbsp;

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth; sister, Eunice Kohr; and grandson, Matthew Schoshke.

Survivors are her children, Kenny Bob (Lynnette) Schoshke and Gary (Jan) Schoshke; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation without the family present will be from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 1 at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis. Rosa Margaret Ramsey, 93, of Lindsborg passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at Bethany Home of Lindsborg.  Rosa was born January 17, 1927 in Hudson, KS to the late Julius P and Christina W (Herb) Munz.  

Rosa graduated from Hudson High School and Denver Business College in Denver, CO. She was the wife of the late Dorwin Ramsey.  She was a devoted mother, wife, homemaker and special education bus driver for USD 400.

She is survived by her daughters: Kris Sprague (Art) of Valley Center, KS, Lois Tatro of Wichita, KS, Nancy Burgess of Hutchinson, KS, and Jane Anderson (Roger) of Lindsborg, KS; as well as 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. 

Rosa is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons-in-law: Tom Tatro and Bill Burgess; great granddaughter: Angel Patience Tatro; 3 sisters and 5 brothers.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 2 at Langley Cemetery, with Chaplain Phillip Hett officiating.

&nbsp; Richard Jacob "Dick" Pfalzgraf, 91, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 7:35 a.m., Thursday, August 27th, 2020 while in the company of family members, at Brookdale McPherson. Dick was born in Arkansas City, Kansas on January 22, 1929, a son of Charles Archer and Esther Gertrude (Brooks) Pfalzgraf. Dick attended and graduated from McPherson High School in 1947, McPherson, Kansas. He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War Era. Through the years Dick worked at N.C. R. A. as a operator and finished his career as an instrument man until he retired in 1991. Dick was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2715, American Legion Post 24 and Men's Golf Association. Dick enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, gardening and spending time with his friends and family. Richard Jacob "Dick" Pfalzgraf was united in marriage to Patricia Joan "Pat" Brown on December 9, 1953 in Lexington, Missouri. With Dick in the military being shipped out to Korea, Pat stayed in McPherson with some family. Upon Dick's Honorable discharge, the young couple established their first home together in McPherson. This union was blessed with the birth of three children, one son and two daughters, Richard, Debra, and Sheryl. He is survived by his children, Richard Pfalzgraf and his wife Janet, of Navarre, Florida, Debra Mogle and her husband Roland, of Wichita, Kansas and Sheryl Harding and her husband Jeff, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and his sister, Diana Heer and her husband Ken, of Colorado Springs, Colorado. He is also survived by 2 granddaughters, Lauren Fort and husband Brian and Brooke Pfalzgraf. Richard Jacob "Dick" Pfalzgraf

Dorothy “Pat” Johnson died August 26th at her home.&nbsp; She was born November 1, 1936 to Lester and Bertha (Clark) Dains in Council Grove, Kansas.

She married Ellis Blount in 1953 and had two sons, Calvin and Bruce.&nbsp; They later divorced.&nbsp;She married Keith Gentry in October, 1959; they had two daughters, Shari and Brenda.&nbsp; Keith passed away June 1, 1989. She married Maurice “Sonny” Johnson in November, 1991.&nbsp; He passed away in 2015.

Pat greatly enjoyed watching her kids and grandkids sporting events.&nbsp; Over the last few years she liked spending time watching the wildlife in her back yard. Years ago she worked at her sister’s restaurants and worked when needed at the Kaw Mission Museum.&nbsp;

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Keith and Sonny, brother David Dains, sister Della Lyons, grandson Joshua Matthews, great granddaughter Taylor Blount, and step granddaughter Stacey Johnson.&nbsp;

Kent Rippen, 73, of Salina, Kansas passed away August 12, 2020 in Abilene, Kansas. Kent grew up farming in Culbertson, Nebraska and was very proud of his farming roots choosing the CB handle â€œCornhusker.â€ Kent loved to drive, loved to travel, loved his rodeos, loved his family and was a loving companion to his wife Phyllis who preceded him in death. Kent was a special grandfather and great grandfather who will be sorely missed.

Survivors include: Son Jeff (Christi) Rippen and their 2 children of Alabama, daughters Melissa Cain and her 2 children of Alabama, Crystal Rippen and her son Tony Rippen of Colorado, and a daughter who lives in the Carolinas. Step-sons Dan Rowland of Texas, Curtis Fry of Kansas, Randy Fry of Perth, Western Australia, Scott (Patti) Fry of Kansas. Carol Pauline Baldwin, 85, died August 26, 2020 at home in her sleep. She was born March 20, 1935 in Cawker City, the daughter of Frank and Ruth (Salisbury) Zimmerman. She was a homemaker and operated Baldwin Bros. furniture with her husband, Fred.

Carol is preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Sue Baldwin.

Carol Pauline Baldwin

Mankato, KS – Roger D. “Charlie” Zeigler, 67, of Mankato, passed away August 25, 2020 at his home in Mankato. He was born in Red Cloud, Nebraska to Byron and Ilene Zeigler. Ilene later married and moved to Burr Oak, KS where Roger and his siblings were raised by Ilene and Stepfather Max Bell. Roger attended Burr Oak Schools and graduated High School in 1972.

Roger met the love of his life, Linda A. (Crouch) Zeigler, and married December 21, 1973. Roger loved the outdoors and thoroughly enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with family and friends. He loved animals and later in life he grew more affectionate to cats especially homeless and injured cats nursing them back to health. Roger was a dedicated and hard worker, starting at the age of fourteen until he retired in 2018. He worked for the Dubuque Packing Company, Downs Pork Packing Plant, Ost Dethloff and Ost (ODO) Farm, and finally ending his blue-collar career with the Jewell County Highway and Road Department. Roger was known by many alias’s, Husband, Hun, Dad, Popo, Grandpa, Charlie, Chaz, Uncle and Pappy. He was a devout husband, father, Grandfather and friend.

He is survived by his Wife Linda Zeigler; Daughter, Kimberly Loomis (Marvin Loomis) of Mankato; Sons, Shane Zeigler (Cassy Zeigler) of Hays, Brenton Zeigler (Leah Zeigler) of Jericho, Vermont, and Travis Zeigler (Nicolette Zeigler) of Wamego. Ilene later married and moved to Burr Oak, KS where Roger and his siblings were raised by Ilene and Stepfather Max Bell. Roger attended Burr Oak Schools and graduated High School in 1972.Roger met the love of his life, Linda A. (Crouch) Zeigler, and married December 21, 1973. Roger loved the outdoors and thoroughly enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with family and friends. He loved animals and later in life he grew more affectionate to cats especially homeless and injured cats nursing them back to health. Roger was a dedicated and hard worker, starting at the age of fourteen until he retired in 2018. He worked for the Dubuque Packing Company, Downs Pork Packing Plant, Ost Dethloff and Ost (ODO) Farm, and finally ending his blue-collar career with the Jewell County Highway and Road Department. Roger was known by many alias’s, Husband, Hun, Dad, Popo, Grandpa, Charlie, Chaz, Uncle and Pappy. Carolyn and Michael Kasper were united in marriage on July 3, 1997 and he preceded her in death on June 19, 2013.&nbsp; She worked several jobs throughout her life, but her favorite was being a housekeeper at the Ottawa County Health Center.&nbsp; Carolyn had a way of lighting up a room with her infectious smile and she always had something to say. She loved traveling and spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren &nbsp;

Besides Michael, she was also preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Debbie, Nancy, Sally, and Deanna.

LaVerne George Hanel, son of Clarence W. &amp; Katie (Morgan) Hanel, was born on November 25, 1927, on the farm near Munden, Kansas. LaVerne grew up on the farm, and attended Tabor Grade School.

On August 13, 1949, LaVerne married Peggy Danielson, and to this union five children were born. LaVerne and Peggy were later divorced, and LaVerne remarried Evelyn Mae (Mahan) Hanel on September 21, 1974.

LaVerne worked for the street department for the City of Belleville, and following his retirement, he enjoyed landscaping, mowing, and caring for lawns around Belleville.

LaVerne was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles of Belleville, and he was a proud member of Alcoholics Anonymous, celebrating his sobriety anniversary yearly with his family. LaVerne was also a proud member of the Belleville Wesleyan Church.&nbsp;

In his free time, LaVerne enjoyed gardening, working in his shop, woodworking, and spending time with his family.

LaVerne passed away in Belleville on August 22, 2020, at the age of 92 years, 8 months and 28 days.

LaVerne was preceded in death by his parents, his former wife Peggy, his wife Evelyn in December 2019, his brother Eugene in March 2020, and daughter in law Sue “Cathy” Hanel in May 2010.

Left to cherish his memories are his children; daughters Barbara Mitchell of Waco, Texas; Diane Woodman and her husband Marlin of Belleville; Verna “Joyce” Roberts and her friend Larry Deherrea of Bellmead, Texas; sons Alan Hanel of Belleville and James Hanel of Waco, Texas. LaVerne is also survived by eight grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 28, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home in Belleville, where the family will greet friends from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm.

Mary Eleanor Hanson Larson, the daughter of Everett John Hanson and Eleanor Francis (Long) Hanson, was born September 2, 1936 in Beaver City, Nebraska and passed away on August 19, 2020 at her home in rural Scandia, Kansas at the age of 83 years, 11 months, and 17 days

Mary attended school at # 99, Kackley and graduated from Courtland High School.&nbsp; After graduation she attended Cosmetology School in Beatrice, Nebraska.&nbsp;

On March 31, 1957, she was united in marriage for 61 years to Richard A. Larson and to this union was born:&nbsp; Kevin, Diane, Michael, and Brent.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The couple made their home in rural Scandia on the family farm.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Mary was a devoted Mother and farm wife.&nbsp;&nbsp; She also was a beautician and Activity Director.

Mary was an active member of the Amana Lutheran Church and the LCW.&nbsp;

She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Eleanor Hanson, her Husband, Richard in 2018; brother, John Hanson; Daughter-in-law, Katherine P. Larson; and Niece, Patricia Norton.

Mary Eleanor Hanson Larson

&nbsp; Lawrence James (Jim) Brennan Jr. passed away Monday, August 24, 2020. He had struggled with multiple illnesses in recent years. Jim was born June 14, 1932, in Wheeling, West Virginia, to parents Lawrence Brennan and Marie Weiskircher Brennan. Jim was raised in Wheeling, and Martins Ferry, Ohio. He graduated from Wheeling Central High School, and from Ohio State University with a major in Dairy Technology. He served two years as an officer in the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S. Bayfield. Jim was married to Rita Seidel in Columbus, Ohio, on September 4, 1954. Jim was proceeded in death by his parents, and by his brother, Richard. He is survived by wife Rita, sister Mary Ann (Vincent) Truax, and sons Mike, Terry, and Tim (wife Karen, step-grandchildren Brent and Travis Raif). Jim moved his family to Hillsboro, Kansas, in 1967, to assume a management position at Tip Top dairy, which ultimately became part of Associated Milk Producers, Incorporated. Jim was assistant plant manager for AMPI in Hillsboro for most of his career. Jim's entire adult life was one of civic and community service. He was a member of the Hillsboro Kiwanis club for almost 50 years. He served on the Hillsboro City Council, on the Salem Hospital board, and on the Hillsboro Community Foundation board. He delivered meals for the Hillsboro Senior Center. He was a Webelos Cub Scout den leader. Jim loved KU basketball, and Royals baseball. He was an avid golfer, and served in many administrative and voluntary capacities for the Hillsboro Golf Club. He was always at the ready to help his Lincoln Street neighbors with projects and emergencies. Jim was active in his church, Holy Family Parish, in Marion, where he served in many roles, including as a mass lector. Bayfield. Jim was married to Rita Seidel in Columbus, Ohio, on September 4, 1954. Jim was proceeded in death by his parents, and by his brother, Richard. He is survived by wife Rita, sister Mary Ann (Vincent) Truax, and sons Mike, Terry, and Tim (wife Karen, step-grandchildren Brent and Travis Raif). Jim moved his family to Hillsboro, Kansas, in 1967, to assume a management position at Tip Top dairy, which ultimately became part of Associated Milk Producers, Incorporated. Jim was assistant plant manager for AMPI in Hillsboro for most of his career. Jim's entire adult life was one of civic and community service. He was a member of the Hillsboro Kiwanis club for almost 50 years. He served on the Hillsboro City Council, on the Salem Hospital board, and on the Hillsboro Community Foundation board. He delivered meals for the Hillsboro Senior Center. He was a Webelos Cub Scout den leader. Jim loved KU basketball, and Royals baseball. He was an avid golfer, and served in many administrative and voluntary capacities for the Hillsboro Golf Club. He was always at the ready to help his Lincoln Street neighbors with projects and emergencies. Jim was active in his church, Holy Family Parish, in Marion, where he served in many roles, including as a mass lector. Charlie was a lifetime resident of Kanopolis where he worked for 47 years at the Independent Salt Co and was a member of the St. Ignatius Catholic Church. He married Judith Russell in Kanopolis on November 23, 1963.

Charlie is survived by his wife, Judi of Kanopolis; son, Matt Munoz (Mary) of Kanopolis; daughters, Dawna Chapin (Hud) of Salina and Shelly Lundgrin (Dr. Michael) of Falun; son, John Munoz (Kristi) of Salina; grandchildren, Kaleigh (Mark), Brooke (JJ), Mollie, Lucas, Alex, Courtney (Trevor), Ethan, Alyssa, Hud, Mason, Camden, Blaque, and Baylee; 11 great grandchildren; brother, Nick Munoz (Crystal) of Kanopolis; brother-in-law, Gary Russell (Ellen) of Kanopolis; and several nieces, nephews, and countless friends. Donald K Baker, 73, died Sunday August 23rd&nbsp;at Salina Regional Health Center Salina Kansas.&nbsp; Mr. Baker was born February 21st, 1947 at Wichita KS, the son of Clayton and Thelma Whitney, adopted by Charlotte and Wayland Baker.

Don was raised in Winfield Kansas, after graduating high school he joined the U.S. Navy and served from 1965 to 1969 aboard the USS Pocono. After leaving the service he went to Central Business College in Wichita, KS where he met his wife Linda Kay (Packer) Baker, they were married in 1972.

He worked as a licensed electrician in Clay Center until his retirement in 2015. During his free time, he served as a leader for Cub Scout Pack 55, Boy Scout Troop 54, Explorer Post 56 and was a member of The Order Of the Arrow. During his time in scouting he served as his son’s Den leader, Scout Master, District Commissioner and as a committee member. He also received many district honors including Distinguished Commissioner, the District Award of Merit, Scout Family of the Year and the Vigil Honor through the Order of the Arrow. He was also a member of the Standing Bear Gourd Society and Shawnee County Allied Tribes. He also was a member of the Clay Center Masonic Lodge where he served as Junior Decon and earned the Daniel Carter Beard award.

He is survived by his wife Linda, 3 children and their spouses Jennifier and Jim Myers of Oconto NE, Sean and Rhys Baker and April and Daniel Davis of Clay Center, Kansas, 8 Grandchildren, Abigail, Rebecca, Scouten, Isabelle, Conner, Whitney, Lilly and Evelyn and numerous nieces and nephews.

&nbsp; Terry “Bubba” Payne, 57 of Abilene passed away August 22, 2020 at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka. He was born August 5, 1963 in Junction, City, the son of Jerry and Lesa (Sheridan) Payne. 

He graduated from Herington High School in 1981. 

Bubba was employed by the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Department, Abilene Police Department, Abilene Fire Department, sold cars at Affordable and drove the school bus for Abilene. 

He was a member of the Rodeo Committee, Abilene Elks Lodge, and Legion Rider Post 12. 

Bubba is survived by his loving Wife Kari of the home. One son, Kelby Payne and a daughter, Kaylenne Breeden. Two grandchildren: Kyler Harwood and Haisley Breeden. One brother; Monty Payne (Patti) and one niece, Holli Payne. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, and grandmother, Alice Brady.

The family has chosen cremation. A Memorial Service for Bubba will be 10:30 A.M., Friday, September 11, 2020 at the Fair Grounds/Beef Show Bard by Sterl Hall in Abilene with Pastor Stan Norman Officiating. Terry “Bubba” Payne

&nbsp; Edyth Marie Romberger was born October 2, 1925, in Talmage, Kansas, the daughter of Willie Edgar Romberger and Mabel Chloe Stafford. She was the fifth child of six, born to this family. She was raised by godly parents in a godly home. Her father was one of nine children and her mother had four brothers and sisters. When she was ten years old, her family moved to a farm in the Cheever Township of Dickinson County, Kansas where she preferred working in the fields with her father and older brother rather than working in the house with her mother and two sisters. She married Warren Paul Mastin on September 7, 1947 at the Emanuel United Brethren Church in Abilene, Kansas. Three children were born to them in Abilene; Jon William Mastin, Dick Arthur Mastin and Mary Helen Mastin. Her life was filled with hard work, the love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the love of her family and friends. Edyth went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 in the Golden Acres Living and Rehabilitation Center in Dallas, Texas where she was a resident for the last year of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, her two twin brothers that died in infancy, her brother, Joyce Wilbur Romberger; her older sister, Evelyn Grace Romberger Norton and Edyth’s husband Warren Mastin. She is survived by her younger sister, Helen Elaine Romberger Baker of Bellingham, Washington, her three children, Jon &amp; Melissa Mastin of Dallas, Dick &amp; Vickie Mastin of Garland, Texas and Mary Mastin of Austin, Texas, and six grandchildren; Adam Warren Mastin and his wife Christie of Fate, Texas; Mallory Elizabeth Mastin Gruhn and her husband Trey of Whitesboro, Texas, Andrew Craig Mastin of Dallas, Catherine Marie Hoffer of Austin, Texas, Morgan Michael Mastin of Denison, Texas and Carissa Caitlin Mastin of Allen, Texas and ten great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She dearly loved all of her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by those who remain in this life until we can also join her in the Lord’s presence.  </figure>&nbsp; Edyth Marie Romberger was born October 2, 1925, in Talmage, Kansas, the daughter of Willie Edgar Romberger and Mabel Chloe Stafford. She was the fifth child of six, born to this family. She was raised by godly parents in a godly home. Her father was one of nine children and her mother had four brothers and sisters. When she was ten years old, her family moved to a farm in the Cheever Township of Dickinson County, Kansas where she preferred working in the fields with her father and older brother rather than working in the house with her mother and two sisters. She married Warren Paul Mastin on September 7, 1947 at the Emanuel United Brethren Church in Abilene, Kansas. Three children were born to them in Abilene; Jon William Mastin, Dick Arthur Mastin and Mary Helen Mastin. Her life was filled with hard work, the love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the love of her family and friends. Edyth went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 in the Golden Acres Living and Rehabilitation Center in Dallas, Texas where she was a resident for the last year of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, her two twin brothers that died in infancy, her brother, Joyce Wilbur Romberger; her older sister, Evelyn Grace Romberger Norton and Edyth’s husband Warren Mastin. She is survived by her younger sister, Helen Elaine Romberger Baker of Bellingham, Washington, her three children, Jon &amp; Melissa Mastin of Dallas, Dick &amp; Vickie Mastin of Garland, Texas and Mary Mastin of Austin, Texas, and six grandchildren; Adam Warren Mastin and his wife Christie of Fate, Texas; Mallory Elizabeth Mastin Gruhn and her husband Trey of Whitesboro, Texas, Andrew Craig Mastin of Dallas, Catherine Marie Hoffer of Austin, Texas, Morgan Michael Mastin of Denison, Texas and Carissa Caitlin Mastin of Allen, Texas and ten great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She dearly loved all of her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by those who remain in this life until we can also join her in the Lord’s presence. Burial will be at the Prairiedale Cemetery in Talmage, Kansas on Tuesday, September 1st at 10:30am.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Mildred L. Corbett Hammond, 98, of Salina, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2020. She was born April 17, 1922, in Glen Elder, to Charles Harvey and Lula Maude (Coble) Covert.

Her and he husband Eugene, owned and operated a restaurant and filing station on the corner of Ohio and Pacific. Gene passed away in 1987. She later married Lawrence Hammond.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Eugene and Lawrence; children, Plano Conrad, Phyllis Conrad; stepson, John Hammond; and brothers, Howard and Clyde.

Survivors include her stepchildren, Betty Weis, Patricia Brown; stepdaughter in law, LaRene Hammond; half-sister Margie Hudson; one niece and two nephews.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Gypsum Hill Cemetery.

Betty F. Martindale (Wilkerson) was born on September 27, 1927, in Martinez, CA and passed from this world on August 20, 2020, in Oklahoma City, OK.

She was the youngest of 6 children born to Earl Lavanda Wilkerson and Cella Arthesia Wilkerson (Gallagher).

She graduated from Alhambra High School in Martinez in 1945. In August of the same year, she married Arrell Dean Martindale, after his return from the war. They raised 6 children in the next 17 years, traveling wherever the Army sent them. Retiring from the military in 1967, they moved permanently to Dean’s hometown of Phillipsburg, KS, where they lived until 2016 when poor health caused them to relocate.

Betty was a homemaker and her family meant everything to her. She worked part-time at the Mark V motel for 10 years. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. She loved music of all kinds, but especially enjoyed the old gospel hymns she was raised on.

She was preceded in death by Dean, her beloved husband of 71 years, her parents and 5 siblings, her daughter Chris, her grandson Justin, her granddaughter Stephanie, and son-in-law Alancy.

She leaves behind 5 children: Joe of Salina, KS, Dean, Jr. and wife Pam of Oklahoma City, Patrick and wife Jean of Oklahoma City, Nicki Price of Shawnee, KS, and Roy and wife Sandra of Oklahoma City, 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Cremation was planned.  A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 19, 2020, at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg.  The services will be streamed live on Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel Facebook page. 

Friends may sign the guest book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, September 18 at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel.

Dorothy M. Davis, of Louisville KY, passed away, August 18, 2020. Dorothy was born in McPherson, KS, January 9, 1933 to Clyde and Zeela Whetstone. Dorothy was a diligent homemaker, making sure her family had everything they needed to be comfortable. She loved spending time with her loving husband and children. She enjoyed crafting and could often be found spending time on a project. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. 

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Zeela Whetstone. 

She is survived by her loving husband, Arthur C. Davis; children, Debra Hogan, Danny Davis, and Diana Hughes; two brothers, Dale (Kristine) and Dean Whetstone; sister, Carol Reed; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. 

Dorothy’s visitation will be 2:00pm–8:00pm Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Owen Funeral Home–Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Road, Louisville, Kentucky. Another visitation will be 3:00pm-6:00pm, Friday, August 28, 2020 at Crick-Christians Funeral Home, 103 N. Washington Street, Lindsborg, Kansas. Neal Jennings, the son of Mabel (Gouldie) and Harold Jennings, was born August 31, 1946 at Lebanon, Kansas. He departed this life on Monday, August 24, 2020 at the Smith Center Health and Rehab Center, Smith Center, Kansas at the age of 73. Neal graduated from the Lebanon High School with the class of 1964.

He served with the United States Army 9th&nbsp;infantry and was a Vietnam War veteran. &nbsp;

Neal was a farmer in the Lebanon area for many years and a loving son and caregiver to his Mom and Dad in their final years.

&nbsp; Neal really enjoyed his cars in his younger years.

Neal is survived by his two nephews, Terry Jennings, Beloit, Kerry Jennings (Sheila) Riley; great nephews, Terran (Lauren), Kansas City and Kyle (Kelsey), Independence; great nieces, Carli and special friend, Tim Clough, Omaha, Nebraska and Haylei, Hastings, Nebraska; other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Garth and wife Ethel and an infant brother, Melvin.

Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held Saturday, 10:oo a.m., August 29, 2020 at Cora Cemetery (Cedar Hill Cemetery) with the Les Ellis officiating.
