Lorina C. Knoll, 96, passed away in the COVID-19 unit at Salina Regional Health Center on Sunday, October 18, 2020. She was born November 10, 1923 in Graham County, KS to Joseph Peter and Anna Rose (Brungardt) Knoll.

Lorina was a 1941 graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Salina, received her B.A. degree in 1945 from Marymount College and earned her master's degree from Kansas State Teachers College in Emporia, KS in 1962.

She taught school from 1945 - 1951 then took a civil service job with the federal government from 1951 - 1954. She went back to teaching in 1954. She taught in Grainfield, Victoria, Winfield and finally Heusner School in Salina until retirement in 1986.

Lorina enjoyed traveling, and was a political activist for voter registration and equal rights amendments. She also was a volunteer for the Army USO. Lorina lived her last 15 years at Dignity Care Home where she received wonderful care.

She will be missed by many nieces and nephews including her care givers Ellen Farrar of Ohio and Tom Prochazka and wife Patty of Solomon.

She was preceded in death by sibling twins, brother, Edwin Knoll, sisters, Helen Prochazka, Alfrieda Gilbert, and Mary Ann Dungan.

A private graveside service will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Salina.

Robin Lorraine (Carlson) Grebba, was born in Phoenix, Arizona, on September 27, 1957, to Robert and Judith McLean. She was the second child of 4; siblings Carolyn Pearson, Robert McLean Jr and Sandra Oelke. Robin passed away unexpectedly on October 10,2020 due to complications related to COVID-19. Robin is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Judith McLean, sister Carolyn Pearson, brother Robert McLean Jr. and granddaughter Kayla Carlson and is survived by her husband Paul Grebba, sister Sandra (Robert) Oelke, Her son Shawn (Terry) Carlson, grandchildren Nicole Raycraft and Cody Carlson. Her son Brandon (Kathryn), grandchildren (late) Kayla Carlson, great grandson Cydon Wright, Madison Carlson, great grand daughter Paisley Carlson, Alyssa (Whitman) Jones, Rebecka Carlson, Mckenzie Carlson and Natalie Carlson and her daughter Nichole Carlson. Robin spent the majority of her life in Phoenix, Az and most of her career in retail management until more recently after she proudly completed her pharmacy technician certification. Robin was solid in her faith of Christianity and her Democratic political views and never backed down from an opportunity to share her thoughts. She enjoyed spending weekends at her property in Northern Az nicknamed the “honky château,” spending time outdoors camping, fishing, gardening, reading, watching sports, bird watching, making various crafts and had a love for music and signing. Robins home was always open to all for any occasion, and decorated for each holiday. She shared her love of cooking with her children and grandchildren and had many family traditional recipes to pass through generations. She had a talent for sending out care packages of plunder and giving away belongings she felt someone else would enjoy more. She loved to travel and was continually counting sleeps for her next visits. Robin had a fierce, unconditional love for her family and was actively involved in encouraging, supporting and acknowledging her pride of her posterity which she joyfully extended to anyone considered a friend. Robin spent the last 39 years with the love of her life Paul Grebba. She cherished her relationships with her previous husband Doug Carlson the father of Brandon and Nichole Carlson and George Lyons, father of Shawn Carlson and had an unwavering, exceptional best friendship of 40 years with Karen Stclair Ferrill.￼ Robin was a loving women who lived her life with honor and integrity. She lived without regrets and encouraged others to live life to the fullest. The memories of Robin will have an everlasting impact on all who knew her.

Robin (Carlson) Grebba

Alice Marie Stithem, passed away on October 16, 2020 at the Presbyterian
 St. Lukes Medical Center in Denver, Colorado, at the age of 82. 

She was
 born on July 12, 1938 to Lewis and Iva (Wright) Neff in Beloit, Kansas.
 She was united in marriage to Ronald D. Stithem on June 1, 1957 in Glen
 Elder, Kansas. They were blessed with four children: Linda, David, 
Ronda, and Daniel.
 Alice was raised in Glen Elder where she graduated with the Class of
 1956. Following high school, she attended Brown Mackie College in 
Salina where she earned her degree in Secretarial Studies. She took that
 degree and utilized it the rest of her working life. 
 When Alice met Ron, the couple spent a short time in Stockton before
 later moving around due to Ron’s career as a Trooper. The couple 
eventually settled down around Hill City until Ron passed away in 2003 
and the flooding in 2018 led Alice to relocate to Hoxie where she spent 
the remainder of her years.
 Alice enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren. While she 
was able, she kept busy traveling to any and all events they 
participated in. She was proud of her granddaughters’ state champion 
basketball teams, as well as the hard work and dedication all her 
grandchildren throw into everything they do. She also enjoyed the local 
teams, Kansas City Chiefs football, and Kansas University basketball. 
Alice loved the company of her family, including her four-legged family 
member Lady. 
 Left to cherish her memory are her children, Linda (Dwayne “Tiny”) 
Faris of Salina, KS, David (Diane) Stithem of Hoxie, and Daniel (Pam) 
Stithem of Reading, KS; and grandchildren, Colton (Kelly) Faris, Riley 
Faris, Darin (Kylie) Stithem, Darik (Carly) Stithem, Darra Stithem 
(Casey Moore), Danel (Kelly) Younkin, Joseph Stanley, Savannah Stanley, 
Kylie Stithem, Allison Stithem, Stephanie Stithem, and Nathan Stithem; 
and two great-grandchildren, Maes Stithem and Kade Moore.

Alice M. Stithem

Charles Phillip Aldrich, 79, passed away October 16, 2020, at Wesley Medical Center.

He was born in Garfield, Kansas on April 17, 1941, to Charles Edgar and LaVergne (Appel) Aldrich.

Phil graduated from Garfield High School in 1959, Fort Hays State University in 1964 and then Washburn Law School in 1967. He started his career as an attorney in Salina, KS with Blackwell and Knudson and then later moved to Larned, KS and opened Aldrich Law Office in 1972. He was elected as Judge of the District Court of the Kansas 24th Judicial District in 1975 where he proudly served Pawnee, Rush, Hodgman, Edwards, Ness and Lane counties for 17 years. Upon leaving the bench, he reopened Aldrich Law Office and retired in 2002.

Since his retirement he has enjoyed coin collecting, politics and telling lawyer jokes, often to those in a quiet doctor’s office waiting room. He loved to create, build and share his memories through his many eccentric carpentry creations. He was a man of many ideas and loved to challenge others to think beyond the norm, often beyond their comfort zone. He took great pride in his family and their accomplishments. His unique, quixotic humor and unconventional wisdom will be missed. &nbsp;He lived with much purpose and resolve and cared deeply for his family.

He married Thyla Abrahamson in 1961. And from this union came three children (Greg, Doug and Beth).&nbsp; They later divorced.

 </figure>Charles Phillip Aldrich, 79, passed away October 16, 2020, at Wesley Medical Center.He was born in Garfield, Kansas on April 17, 1941, to Charles Edgar and LaVergne (Appel) Aldrich.Phil graduated from Garfield High School in 1959, Fort Hays State University in 1964 and then Washburn Law School in 1967. He started his career as an attorney in Salina, KS with Blackwell and Knudson and then later moved to Larned, KS and opened Aldrich Law Office in 1972. He was elected as Judge of the District Court of the Kansas 24th Judicial District in 1975 where he proudly served Pawnee, Rush, Hodgman, Edwards, Ness and Lane counties for 17 years. Upon leaving the bench, he reopened Aldrich Law Office and retired in 2002.Since his retirement he has enjoyed coin collecting, politics and telling lawyer jokes, often to those in a quiet doctor’s office waiting room. He loved to create, build and share his memories through his many eccentric carpentry creations. He was a man of many ideas and loved to challenge others to think beyond the norm, often beyond their comfort zone. He took great pride in his family and their accomplishments. His unique, quixotic humor and unconventional wisdom will be missed. &nbsp;He lived with much purpose and resolve and cared deeply for his family.He married Thyla Abrahamson in 1961. Charles Phillip Aldrich

Dorothy Jean Myers, 96, of Marquette passed away Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Riverview Estates of Marquette, Kansas.  Dorothy was born May 21, 1924 in Marquette to Ancil and Ella "Dolly" (Durland) Holler.  

Dorothy and Truce Myers were married on October 14, 1946 at the Marquette Methodist Parsonage.  She and Truce were lifelong farmers.  Dorothy was an avid animal lover, who will be remembered for her kind heart, love of the land, and love of the country.

She is survived by her daughters: Kristy Hall (David) of Mesa, AZ, Trula Myers (David Goddard) of Naples, FL, and Susan Myers (Phil Ryan) of Westwood, KS; grandchildren: Toby Hall (Krista), Tina Hall (Hoa Ngo), Christopher Ziegler and Megan Goddard; as well as great grandchildren: Joshua Hall, Sydney Hall, and Tycho Ngo.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Truce, 3 brothers and a sister.

A graveside service was held 2:30 pm on Monday, October 19 at Excelsior Cemetery, rural Marquette, KS.

Marlene F. Davis, the daughter of Erney Kolars and Matilda (Krhounek) Kolars, was born September 11, 1940 in Cuba, Kansas and passed away on October 19, 2020 at the Belleville Health Care Center, Belleville, KS at the age of 80 years, 1 month and 8 days.

Marlene grew up and received her education at the local public schools of Cuba, Kansas.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; On August 7, 1955, she was united in marriage to L. “Buss” Davis and to this union was born seven children, Tena, Jenny, Misty, Nola, John, Danny, and Dory.&nbsp; The couple made their home in Scandia.&nbsp;&nbsp; Marlene was a homemaker and later worked outside of the home as a waitress, house keeper and for Scott Specialties in Belleville.

Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, Erney and Matilda Kolars,&nbsp; her husband, L. “Buss” Davis on December 2, 1998, and one grandson Sawyer White.

She is survived by three sons, John (Lisa) Davis of Scandia, KS, Danny (Tarry)Davis of Scandia, KS, and Dory Davis of San Antonio, Texas; four daughters,&nbsp; Tena (Harold) Myer of Belleville, KS, Jenny Bergstrom of Belleville, KS,&nbsp; Misty (Terry) Goodwin of Phoenix, Arizona and Nola (Duane) Gray of Olathe, KS; 17 grandchildren, and 31 great grandchildren;&nbsp; one brother, Melvin (Vickie) Kolars of Belleville, KS; one sister, Janice (Marvin) Brungardt of Cuba, KS; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, October 22, 2020 at the Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, Scandia, KS with Pastor Kathy Aeillo, officiating.

Genevieve Ann (Hruza) Morris, 86, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2020. She was a resident of the Minneapolis Health and Rehabilitation Center.&nbsp; She was born August 27, 1934 in Edgemont, South Dakota to John and Elizabeth (Wiles) Hruza.

She and Norman Morris were united in marriage on April 1, 1952 at Burr Oak, Kansas.&nbsp; She held a deep love for children and was an early elementary teacher throughout most of her life.&nbsp;

After their marriage, the army sent Norman to Korea and Genevieve began earning her teaching certificate at Fort Hays. In 1953 her teaching career began in a one room schoolhouse near Burr Oak, Kansas.&nbsp; She then taught at the public grade school in Burr Oak.&nbsp; Next was Valley View School near Webber, Kansas. Valley View closed and she taught at Hardy, Nebraska. She and Norman moved to Minden, Nebraska where she worked as a secretary at Pioneer Village.&nbsp; She missed children and teaching, so she went back to college at McPherson College, McPherson, Kansas to complete her full degree. She began her new teaching career in Lindsay Nebraska Catholic Schools.&nbsp; She finished her teaching career in Osborne, Kansas and retired in 1995.&nbsp; She then moved to Minneapolis to be closer to her son Duane and his family.&nbsp;

She was preceded in death by her parents John and Elizabeth Hruza, her husband Norman Morris, her brother Laverne Hruza, and her sister Mary Lou Tooch.&nbsp;

Survivors are her brother Joy Hruza of Salina, son Duane (Juanita) Morris of Minneapolis; two grandsons Justin (Denise) Morris of Longview, Texas; Jarod (Krystin) Morris of Bethany, Oklahoma; 10 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 2 pm at the Burr Oak, Cemetery.&nbsp; In lieu of flowers, memorials may be to Kindred Hospice and be mailed to Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 166, Minneapolis, KS 67467.

Wilferd’s life began on Marcy 27, 1932, the son of Jacob Edgar and Marie (Wiebe) Thiessen in Newton, Kansas. He graduated from Berean Academy in 1950 and went onto graduate from Grace Bible College in Omaha, Nebraska. He married Gladys Evelyn Kracht on June 15, 1954 in Creighton, Nebraska. Wilferd and Gladys ministered all across Latin America from 1964-2010. He also taught at Rio Grande Institute in Texas for 10 years. He was an evangelistic chalk artist and used his talent to share the gospel. He enjoyed riding horses, playing the piano and wood carving.

His loving family includes his wife, Gladys of Whitewater; his sons and their wives, Randy and Connie Thiessen of Whitewater, Gary and Monica Thiessen of Burns, Kansas; daughter and her husband, LaVonna and Dr. Greg Schmid of Phoenix, Arizona; 18 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Henry and Edgar Thiessen and a sister, Martha Thiessen. Wilferd passed away peacefully on Friday, October 16, 2020 at the age of 88 years old.

His family will gather with friends on Friday, October 23, from 5-7 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24, at 11:00 a.m. both at Whitewater Community Church, 703 E. Central, Whitewater. Graveside services will be Saturday, October 24, at 9:30 a.m. in the Old Emmaus Cemetery.

Wilferd Ralph Thiessen

Madeline “Janice” Demars, age 92, left this earthly life on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at Mount Joseph Senior Village, Concordia.&nbsp; She was born on November 17, 1927 in Kackley, Kansas to C. Lester and Lola (Bishop) Houghton.

Madeline graduated from Jamestown High School, Jamestown, Kansas in 1945. &nbsp;&nbsp;She moved to Concordia, Kansas to work at Fairmont Foods and later at the Chamber of Commerce. Madeline later worked for the Aurora Post Office for many years.&nbsp; She was also a homemaker and most of all a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She married Clarence Dale Demars on May 20, 1947 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Concordia, Kansas. &nbsp;&nbsp;Madeline and Dale made their home and raising their family in Aurora, Kansas, later moving to Concordia.

She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia, previously the St. Peter's Catholic Church, Aurora, and Women of the Moose Lodge #1428, VFW #588 Ladies Auxiliary both of Concordia.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dale, parents, C. Lester and Lola, grandson, Kelly Huber, 2 sisters, Vivian Almon and Audrey Hayden and a brother Charles Houghton.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am, Thursday, Oct. 22, 2020 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, in Aurora, Kansas, with Fr. David Metz officiating.&nbsp; Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery, Aurora.

Edward Flaming

On Monday, October 12, 2020, Robert Shawn Newell, loving husband and father of four children, left his earthly life at the age of 59.

Shawn was born on December 2, 1960 in Beloit, KS to Bob and Bonnie (Timbers) Newell. He graduated from Mankato High School in 1979, and received his animal science degree from Kansas State University in 1983. On August 7, 1983, he married the love of his life, Susan Kadel. They were married for 38 years, and raised two sons, Nick and Kale, and two daughters, Casey and Abby.

Shawn worked with his father, Bob at Newell Implement in Mankato. After the business closed, he was employed by Carrico Implement in Beloit. For over 20 years, Shawn worked in finance at the Central National Bank in which he served as the president of the Mankato Branch and Regional Lending Manager. He also served on the Jewell County Hospital Board and was a member of the Midway Co-op Boards.

Shawn had a passion for farming. He was a second generation farmer who worked tirelessly day and night. Shawn valued problem-solving and thinking of ways to improve the land each year. Farming allowed him to provide for his family whom he loved dearly.

Shawn was preceded in death by his father, Bob Newell, father-in-law Eldon Kadel and sister-in-law Patricia Smith.

He is survived by his wife Susan, his four children: Casey Eldringhoff (Dave) of San Marino, CA, Nick Newell and his significant other (Mallory Mahoney) of Kansas City, Abby Edward (Branden) of Kansas City and Kale Newell (Whitney) of Mankato. He is also survived by his precious grandchildren: Charlotte and Jack Eldringhoff, Nauz and Ezree Newell, and Amelia Edward; his mother, Bonnie Newell of Mankato; sisters Andra Hancock (Rodney) of Salina; Lynn Shamburg (Terry) of Beloit, and Teri File of Salina; and his best friend and brother, Lance Newell of Wichita. Extended family includes Arlene Kadel, Mike Kadel (Mary), Kelly Kadel, Sharon Eck (Doug) and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at the United Methodist Church in Mankato, KS at 11 AM with Pastor Jim Rice officiating. Sandra Kay Rathke, 47, of Council Grove, Kansas passed away October 12, 2020 at Stormont Vail Hospital.

She was born April 26, 1973 to Carlyle and Cheryl (Krysl) Crawford in Galveston, Texas. She married Scott Rathke in 2015 at Olpe, KS.&nbsp; Sandie attended Flint Hill’s Apostolic Church and was the Bakery Manager for Ray’s Apple Market.&nbsp; She loved cooking, baking, fishing and motor cycle riding. Sandie was a people person and loved by all.

She was preceded in death by her step-brother Curtis Stubbs, step-daughter Kayla Rathke and grandson Charles.

Sandie is survived by her husband Scott; mother and step-father Cheryl and Harold Stubbs, of Madison; father Carlyle, of Ogallala, NE; daughters&nbsp;&nbsp;Aletha Gilchrist and Shannon; son Arron Crawford; brothers Jason (Lynn) and David Crawford (Rebecca); step-sister Chrystal Stubbs Makey;&nbsp;step-sons Aaron, Jacob and Cody Rathke; and grandchildren Damon, Faith, River, Isabelle, Shalynn, Travis and Ayden.

Mrs. Crable passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at the Salina Regional Health Center. She was born September 21, 1951 in Marysville, Missouri the daughter of Charles and Maxine (Tompkins) Sexson. On April 13, 1974 Debbie was united in marriage to James “Jim” Crable in Kansas City, Kansas. She worked in the Alco-Duckwall office doing data entry and later was an assistant toy buyer before retiring in 2013. Debbie loved fishing but greatest joy was her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survives be her loving husband Jim of the home, daughters Jeri and her husband Kristopher Sager of Salina, Shelly Cole of Abilene, sons Brett Selle and his wife Cassie of Winfield, Walter Crable and his wife Christa of Abilene, brothers Fred Sexson of Wichita, Lavelle of Louisiana, sister June Price of Great Bend, ten grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Joan died peacefully in her sleep of complications associated with a stroke 14 Oct 2020. She was born in County Kerry, Ireland, daughter of Jeremiah and Deborah Roche, raised in Ireland as one of eleven children, until she moved to England in 1949 where she met and married her husband, William E Rager on 22 Jan 1953. 

Moved to Abilene, KS in 1955 and raised three sons, Bill, Mike, and Randy. Moved to Albuquerque, NM in 2005. 

Preceded in death by her husband killed in action in Vietnam, 10 Mar 1967, 7 sisters Nora, Debbie, Bridie, Madgie, Eileen, Kathleen, Maureen, 3 brothers Mike, Jerry, Tom, and Don Maring a very close friend of Abilene. 

Survivors include Bill Rager of Albuquerque, NM, Mike Rager of Albuquerque, NM, Randy Rager of Norwood, MN, eight grandchildren, Jessica, Melissa, Billie Jo, Tracy, Mike, Karl, Stacia, Steph, and eight great grandchildren, Sasha, Ginger, Katrina, Cara, William, Bryton, Kayden, and Broc.

Joan P Rager

Barbara (Schroeder) Johnsonpassed away peacefully on April 11, 2020, at the age of 92 while residing at Presbyterian Manor in Salina, KS.

Barb was born March 3, 1928, at the home of her maternal grandmother in Trumbull, NE. She was the daughter of Kenneth Black and Doris Perry Black. Her early years were spent in the Trumbull area. The family later moved to Caldwell, ID. She attended school in Caldwell and received an associate degree in education.

In June of 1948, Barb married Dr. Stanley Schroeder, a young veterinarian. They resided in Imperial, NE for many years. They had 4 daughters and one young son (Scott) who died at the age of 2.

Following her divorce from Stan, Barb went back to college at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. After several years of hard work and diligence completed her degree in elementary education. She worked during the school year in Imperial as an educational assistant. Upon graduation, she took a teaching job in Superior, NE at the local elementary school. She married Vernon Johnson in January of 1984, and they spent many happy years together.

Next to family, she loved spending time with friends. In Imperial, she was in Sewing Club, which was a group of moms who met regularly to support each other and have fun. Barb loved it when friends would drop by for a cup of coffee and a chat. During her daughters' younger years, she patiently helped with many 4-H projects, club meetings and county fair exhibits. She was also very supportive of her daughters' friends always finding a way to make a meal stretch to feed as many as needed and making sure there were plenty of ingredients for making cookies. In Superior, she and Vernon enjoyed playing golf, frequent trips to Lindsborg, KS, gardening and Bird Watchers' Club. They were active members of the Presbyterian Church.

Barb had a huge passion for music. She sang in church choirs in Imperial and Superior, directed Junior Choir and entertained at various venues with the Farmerettes singing group in Superior. She was also a founding member of POM POMS (Promoters of Music) and made sure her daughters learned to enjoy and appreciate music. Whenever she heard music, she would sing along - always choosing to sing harmony. Her very last breath came while listening to "Amazing Grace."

Survivors include her 4 daughters, Sue Ann Lang (Terry) of Sioux Falls, SD, Mary Siegler (Nelson) of Boulder, CO, Kameha Schwan (Kutarr) of Watsonville, CA and Linda Rohrer (Ben) of Salina, KS. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Heather Lang of Bloomington, MN, Sera Jordan of Denver, CO, Gretchen Lang, Robin Lang and Betsy Lang of Sioux Falls, SD, Tanner Rohrer (Sierra) of Lawrence, KS and Madeline Rohrer (fiance Bryce) of Kansas City, KS; and 2 great grandchildren, Tyson and Eleanor Jacobsen of Bloomington, MN.

Memorial services will take place at a later date in both Imperial and Superior, NE. Announcements will be made in local newspapers.

Bill Klug, 75, of Solomon, passed away at his home, Tuesday, October 13, 2020. He was born November 14, 1944, to Harold and Berdena (Fawkes) Klug in Casper, Wyoming.

Bill retired from KPL/Westar after 36 years as an Electric Substation Foreman. After retirement he began his own business, ProLawn Care, providing landscaping services and snow removal at Fort Riley. He loved baseball and was the pitching coach for American Legion Baseball (1990 - 1992), Salina South High School (1991 - 1994), Kansas Wesleyan University (1995 - 2005), Junior Legion Baseball (1997), and honorary pitching coach for Bemidji State, Bemidji, Minnesota.

Bill is survived by his wife of 18 years, Ann; children, Greg Klug (Sheri), Denet Smith, Amber Atchison (Chance), Tyler Klug; Ann's children, Sara Rempel (Robert), and Christopher Osborne; siblings, Diane Hill, Pam Thomason (Jim), Herb Klug (Robin), Suzanne Scheuch (Richard), Mark Klug; 11 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.

Memorial Service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 20, at Emmanuel Foursquare Christian Church, 1325 E. Cloud, Salina.

Donald Leroy Burgess, 72, of Salina, passed away Friday, October 9, 2020. He was born May 25, 1948 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

He worked for CertainTeed as machine operator for 13 years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Everett Burgess; brother, Larry Burgess.

Gwen L. Mutschler, 79, Delphos, died Thursday, October 15, 2020 in Minneapolis.&nbsp; She was born November 4, 1940 in Ellsworth to Lonnie and Irlene (Gross) Hurst.

She was a longtime chiropractic assistant to Dr. Brett Pennington in Salina.

Survivors are her husband, Paul; children Jeanne Dannebohm, Edward Lantz, and Kathy Zelenka; step-children, Luke Mutschler, Elisha Hampton, and Molly Carter; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
