Obituary | Ronald "Ronnie" D. Dorman of Concordia, Kansas | Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home

November 14, 1939 - February 20, 2021

Ronald “Ronnie” D. Dorman, age 81, entered into rest on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at the Cloud County Health Center, Concordia, Kansas.  He was born November 14, 1939 in Haddam, Kansas to James R. and Elsie (Cornwell) Dorman.

Ronnie was a 1958 graduate of Haddam High School.

On December 17, 1958 he married Janet A. Lowell in Fort Dodge, Iowa.  To this Union 4 children were born Tamra, Karmin, Brian and Shelly.

Ronnie was a lifetime farmer in the Cloud County Community.  He worked in his younger years at the United States Gypsum company in Fort Dodge, Iowa.  Ronnie was a member of the American Legion Post #76, Past member of Moose Lodge, Saddle Club all of Concordia. 

He enjoyed playing cards (4 pt. pitch), farming and most of all he loved spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Janet, of the home, 3 children, Tamra Lehman (Maurice), Crowley, Tx; Karmin Brendel (Tom), Rolla, MO; Brian Dorman (Michelle), Concordia, KS; 3 brothers, Jim Dorman (Jan) Canadian, TX; Glen Dorman, Dayton, IA; Jack Dorman (Ardy), Harcout, IA; 2 sisters, Marilyn Dunn (Jack), Phillipsburg, KS; Betty Herron (Mike), Gowrie, IA; 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Elsie, daughter, Shelly Dorman, 2 brothers, Sam and Loren Dorman, sister, Illa Fern Fielder.

A visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 26, 2021 from 1-8 pm with family receiving friends from 6-8 pm at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later time.

Memorial Contributions may be given to Cloud County 4-H Club or the American Legion Post #76 c/o Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.
