December 3, 1923 - February 20, 2021

Delmar Yarrow, 97, died February 20, 2021 in Clay Center, KS.  He was born on December 3, 1923 in Clay Center, the son of Frederick and Margaret (McClurkin) Yarrow. 

Delmar was raised in Clay County.  He served in the US Army during WWII seeing action in the Philippines.  Following the war, Delmar returned to Clay center, met, and married Marlee Affolter on October 10, 1948.  They farmed in Clay County and Delmar milked Holsteins from 1951 to 1971.  Marlee preceded him in death on March 17, 2003.  Delmar married Sharon (Wallis) Klassen on November 1, 2008.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Gideons International, USD 379 School Board and the Clay Center American Legion.  Delmar help build over 50 churches on mission trips to Central America.  He was also preceded in death by his parents and a great-grandson, Luke Yarrow.

Son: Lee and wife Karen Yarrow of Morganville, KS

Step-Daughter: Phyllis and husband Eldon Koerber of Aurora, KS

Step-daughter: Tonia Hedman-Edwards of Clay Center, KS

Sister: Ruth Todd of Manhattan, KS

5 Grandchildren, 8 Great-Grandchildren, 5 Step-Grandchildren & 3 Step- Great-Grandchildren

Funeral Services: Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 10:30AM at the First Baptist Church in Clay Center, KS.  The service will be live streamed at https://www.facebook.com/nsrfuneralhome/live

Burial: Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas

Visitation: Monday, February 22, 2021 from 4-7 PM at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home
