Duane Frederick Norburg, beloved only son of Corinne (Swedlund) and Paul Norburg, born October 10, 1936, left this world for his heavenly home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 2, 2021.&nbsp; He was a Christian and loved the Lord.

Duane was born in Salina, Kansas.&nbsp; He was an office manager and accountant for Swedlund Realtor on East Iron.&nbsp; He retired in 1998.

Upon his retirement, Duane enjoyed caring for his Mother, playing cards with his friends, reading extensively, collecting gargoyles, and solving 1000 piece intricate puzzles.

Duane is survived by many cousins and his friend and barber, Jim Modine.

He greatly appreciated the loving care that he received at Kenwood View and from Kindred Hospice.&nbsp; He always tried to thank each caregiver personally.

Per Duane’s wishes, cremation was chosen and there will be no visitation and no services are planned.&nbsp; Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, in care of Ryan Mortuary, 137 North Eighth Street, Salina, Kansas 67401.&nbsp;&nbsp; Inurnment will take place in Roselawn Memorial Park.

ASSARIA -&nbsp;LeRoy L. Goppert, 89, of Assaria, Ks passed away February 27, 2021, He was born August 18, 1931.

LeRoy graduated Belleville High School, enlisted in the U.S. Marines. He married Lauren Snyder of St. Joseph, Mo., 1955. He later divorced and married Arlene Finch of Salina who shared his passion for gardening and spoiling their grandchildren. &nbsp;

He was raised farming and continued at Belleville, Ks. He worked at Johnson's monument, Belleville and later Memorial Arts, Salina, and finally retired but as we all know the hard worker he was he couldn't help but continue working and worked for the city of Assaria. He took pride in everything he did; gardening, rebuilding antique tractors and vehicles, and fixing anything and everything.

LeRoy is survived by son, Larry Goppert of Glasco; daughter, Deanna Whitlock (Dennis Chipps) of St. Joseph, Mo; step-daughter Ruth Clifford (Dennis) of Lindsborg; Five grandchildren; Carlena Jeffrey (Brandon); "little" LeRoy Goppert; Jessica Moore (Glen); Step-Grandson Bryan Ringquist (Wendy); Many more Step children and grandchildren. &nbsp;

LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Anna; wife Arlene; brother, Arthur Goppert; son, Mitchell Goppert; Step-granddaughter, Melissa Fahey.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Ray Avenue Baptist Church.&nbsp; Graveside will be 2 p.m. in Belleville City Cemetery at 2 p.m.

On Sunday, February 28, 2021,&nbsp;Wesley Larwence Woodson, Owner and Proprietor of Bes in the Wes Trucking, Brookville, Kansas, passed away in Salina, Kansas. 

Wes was born on March 21, 1953, in Meade, Kansas, the first child of Joe and Nelda Woodson. Wes attended elementary grades 1 and 2 at Montezuma, Kansas, 3rd and 4th grades at Penalosa, Kansas, and 5th through 9th grades at Cunningham, Kansas. He graduated high school in Kingman, Kansas in 1971.&nbsp;

 In 1972 he joined the US Army as a volunteer.&nbsp; He was stationed at Fort Carson Colorado, Nuremburg, Germany and Fort Sill, Oklahoma during his enlistment. He was Honorably Discharged in October 1978 and was awarded The Army Commendation Medal for his Outstanding Service. After his enlistment, Wes had his own custom cutting crew and worked as a roughneck in the oil fields. He then became an independent truck driver that transitioned into Bes in the Wes Trucking until his untimely death. 

He enjoyed small town life. He was currently president of the Brookville City Council and was elected to the office of Township Trustee of Spring Creek Township. He was mentor to many young men in the community. Wes had a big heart and was a friend to everyone, never hesitating to help when help was needed. Jordan Lindquist states “Honestly, one of the smartest guys I ever met. Just know he lived his life to the fullest and had a blast doing it.”

Wes is survived by his wife, Faye Woodson. They were married June 7, 2014. He has two daughters, April (Robbie) O’Berg, Crystal Woodson, and one son Kirkland Woodson, stepson Royce Ardery, and stepdaughter, Amanda (Jeff) Mohrlang. He has three brothers Thomas (Betty), Rodney (Liz) and David (Pam) Woodson. One sister Ilonda (Phillip) Griffee.&nbsp; One grandson, Hunter O’Berg. One Aunt, Helen Alguire.&nbsp; Survived by many nephews and nieces. Family was important to him.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Wesley Woodson and Nelda Virginia Thompson Woodson.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 5, 2021, at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N 8th St, Salina, Kansas. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 2021, at Ryan Mortuary. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. in the Lerado Cemetery, Lerado, Kansas.&nbsp;

She is survived by her parents, Gary and Ellen Kemper of Phillipsburg, KS; sister Brenda Maeske (Jim Klavis) of Chantilly, VA; sons David of Hays, KS and Shawn of Minneapolis, KS; nieces Jessica (Michael) Stone of Reston, VA and Alexandra Spittle (James Sorokos) of Norfolk, Virginia; sisters-in-law Sharon (Lloyd) Sandlin and Shelly Derting of Minneapolis, KS; uncle Marvin Gaines of Logan, KS and many cousins.&nbsp;

Wanda was a free-spirit who loved her family and friends. She read her Bible every day and had a relationship with the lord. She listened to gospel music and attended religious services either in-person or by watching on television. She also loved to watch football and was a big fan of the Kansas City Chiefs.&nbsp;

A memorial service for Wanda will be held at 10:30 a.m.&nbsp; Friday, March 5, 2021, at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg, with Pastor Joel Hiesterman officiating.&nbsp; The services will be streamed live on the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel Facebook page. &nbsp; A private inurnment will take place in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Logan, KS.

Randall “Smiley” Mark Burnett, 66 of Council Grove, Kansas, passed away February 26, 2021 at Morris County Hospital.

He was born October 28, 1954 to Kenneth and Betty (Fuqua) Burnett. He graduated from Council Grove High School in 1972 and served a year in the US Navy. He worked for Boeing in Wichita for several years before working as a mason in commercial construction.

Smiley married Mary Hewitt in 1987 and they had two children, Dustin and Alison.&nbsp; They later divorced. He relocated to Lubbock, TX for a while and had a daughter, Brandi.

Smiley enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting mushrooms, telling jokes and just making people laugh.

He was preceded in death by his parents.&nbsp; Smiley is survived by his children: Dustin Burnett, Alison Mantz (Adam) all of Council Grove and Brandi Burnett of ID; sisters: Pam Gentry of Mableton, GA and Alice Crowley of Emporia; and brother Phil Burnett of Wilsey; and grandchildren: Aleah Olson, Owen Mantz, Kinsley Burnett, and Aiden and Jaxton Dye.

Lillian Violet (Briegel) Bosch was born April 11, 1932 in Arapahoe, NE to Fred and Oma Briegel. Lillian was baptized May 1, 1932 at St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Arapahoe, NE and was confirmed on Palm Sunday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Salina, KS on April 1, 1945. She attended multiple schools in Kansas as her father served the country during WWII building military bases. 

Music played a large role in her life and she was an accomplished musician of many instruments. After graduating high school in Salina, KS she attended St. John’s Lutheran College in Winfield, KS. Here she met the love of her life, Floyd Bosch who was studying to be a Pastor in the Lutheran Church. She taught for two years in Wichita before they married on June 27, 1954 and moved to St. Louis. She taught 3rd&nbsp;grade in Maplewood, MO while Floyd studied at Concordia Theological Seminary. Upon his graduation from seminary, they accepted a call to the Evangelical Lutheran Church of England as a missionary family and served in Sunderland, England and later moved to London, England. In 1969 the family moved to Clay Center, KS where Floyd served as Pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. 

After raising her six children, Lillian returned to college at Kansas State University and earned a bachelor’s degree in Special Education in 1982, while working as Director of the Big Lakes Developmental Center in Clay Center. She later accepted a position as Vice President in Manhattan and retired from BLDC in 1996. In retirement Lillian and Floyd enjoyed spending their summers in Soldotna, Alaska fishing and winters in Weslaco, TX and spending time with their family. They also went on many mission trips around the world helping those in need.

Lillian is survived by her husband, Floyd, their six children: Kathy Bosch (Jim Margheim) of Scottsbluff, NE, John (Carol) Bosch of Clay Center, KS, Mary Bosch of Parkville, MO, Peter Bosch of Sterling, AK, Timothy (Denise) Bosch of Sterling, AK and Patricia (Bill) Gibbons of Wheaton, IL, her sister and best friend, Eleanor Niehouse of Lake Elsinore, CA, 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Kenneth and Arlo.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 1, 2021 from 4-6PM at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 1030AM, Tuesday, March 2 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clay Center with Pastor Paul Tessaro officiating

Graveside services will follow at 2:30 PM at the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Lincoln, KS

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Grant Us Grace Foundation (MSD), which was founded to help fund research for this rare disease that two of her great grandchildren have recently undergone bone marrow transplants for.

SALINA –&nbsp;William H. Bingham&nbsp;passed away Friday, February 26, 2021. He was born December 8, 1930 in Abilene, Kan., to William H Oliver, Jr. and Charlotte Oliver. He was later adopted by Harry and Lucille (Allen) Bingham. 

The family moved around to find work in the early 1930s, eventually moving to Montrose, where they lived with his grandfather on his farm, south of town. Bill attended grade school in Montrose, but the family eventually relocated to Mankato, where employment opportunities opened up at the beginning of World War II. Bill attended Mankato High School, graduating in 1949. While attending high school he participated in football, basketball and track. He excelled in all three sports.

Bill married Norma Mae Mog, the love of his life, on June 5, 1955, in Mankato. The same year they moved to Manhattan, where he attended Kansas State University, graduating in 1959. They had three wonderful children; Kim R., born in Manhattan; Kevin M., born in Wurzburg, Germany; and Cheri L., born in Bamberg, Germany.

Bill was very patriotic and proud to serve in the military for many years. As a member of the U.S. Air Force, he served in Korea in that conflict and was a member of the Kansas National Guard. He received a commission through the Army R.O.T.C. at Kansas State University and returned to active duty in November of 1959. He remained on active duty until November of 1972. During that time, he and his family were stationed in Germany for three years and several United States Army Installations. He served two tours in Vietnam during that conflict. Upon release from active duty, he remained in the U.S. Army Reserves until he retired. During his service in the military he received numerous decorations, awards and service ribbons; they included the Bronze Star Medals (2), Meritorious Service Medals (2), Army Commendation Medals (2), Army Achievement Medal, Korean Service Medal, and Vietnam Service Medal.

Upon release from active duty, Bill and family moved to Salina. He continued to work as a civilian for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a Park Ranger at Kanopolis and Wilson Lakes and a Reality Specialist for the KC District. His final years of employment were with the Saline County Appraisals Office.

Bill was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Salina, where he served in several positions.

He had a great appreciation for God’s creation for the great outdoors, nature and the elements in general. His special interests were watching KSU football and basketball, hunting, flower gardening and observing changes in the weather. He had a great love for his wife of 65 years and the rest of his family. He strongly believed that God’s greatest gift to him was his wife, children and grandchildren. He knew that without his wife’s love, support and sacrifices that he would never had been as successful during his life as he was. Bill loved watching his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren as they grew up. He took deep pride and satisfaction in observing their participation in school activities and sports.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and adoptive parents.

He is survived by his wife, Norma; children, Kim R. Ringer, Salina, Kevin M. Bingham (Kim), Olathe, and Cheri L. Smith (Mark), Salina; grandchildren, Sierra and Tarren Bingham, Taylor, Connor (Kylie), Logan and Quinn Smith; and great-grandchildren, Cash and Colt Smith.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina, with family present from 6-7.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 3, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Salina. Burial with military honors will follow in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.

Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, the D.A.V., or the National MS Society, in care of Ryan Mortuary.

Martha was one of 11 children born to Charles and Anna, and she grew up in the Holcomb community, attending school in Garden City and Satanta, and obtaining her GED in Ft. Collins, Colorado.

Martha was united in marriage to Lawrence Earl DeNayer on September 12, 1936, in Topeka, and to this marriage, five children were born.

Martha worked as an insurance agent, and was the owner of Mankato Storage. She loved working with genealogy and history, and enjoyed making lap quilts for veterans. Martha was an avid bookkeeper and business woman, and she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mankato.

Martha passed away on February 25, 2021, at the Blue Valley Lutheran Home in Hebron, Nebraska, at the age of 103 years, 10 months and 22 days.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lawrence, brothers Emil Krug, Charles Krug, Albert Krug and Leo Krug, sisters Mena Wolff, Frieda Duree, Anna Jean Durant and Delores Urban. Martha is also preceded in death by son in law Wayne Dunn, and grandchildren Julie Shipman and Hether Archuleta.

Martha will be forever remembered by her children; daughter Judy Dunn of Belleville, daughter Kathy Ruffus and her husband Stephen of Salt Lake City, Utah; daughter Lori DeNayer of Ft. Collins, Colorado; son David DeNayer and his wife Ping of Deltona, Florida, and son Charles DeNayer and his wife Ellen of Raymore, Missouri.

She is also survived by her sisters Marian Hazelwood and Phyllis Krug, 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 4, &amp; Friday, March 5, 2021, from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm both days, at Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home in Belleville, the family will not be present.

Family Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at 2:00 pm, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Butler, Missouri, with Pastor Jennifer Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Rich Hill, Missouri.

Judith Lavonne Potter, 80, of McPherson, KS, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, surrounded by family at her home in McPherson. 

Judith Lavonne (Wiggins) Potter was born May 25, 1940, in Kermit, TX, the oldest child and only daughter of Vaughn E. and Edna M. (Glendening) Wiggins. The family moved to McPherson when Judy was a young child and she attended McPherson schools, graduating from McPherson Senior High School in 1958. She continued her education at Central College, now Central Christian College of Kansas, receiving her AA degree in 1960. On June 19, 1959, Judy married Larry E. Potter. The couple moved to Denver, CO in 1960 but soon returned to McPherson to raise their four children, Susan Lavonne, Sarah Diane, Bradley Charles, and Eric Vaughn. Judy and Larry recently celebrated 61 years of marriage. Judy loved to read and told the story of making her mother think she was cleaning her room when she was only walking around the room while reading a book. Her love of reading was a benefit to her children, and she enjoyed reading to her grand- and great-grandchildren. Not surprisingly, according to McPherson Public Library, Judy was the longest continuous library card holder, having a continuously active card for 76 years. Judy’s love and compassion for animals was another driving force in her life, and she always had at least one cat around, in addition to various dogs, rabbits, chickens, etc. Judy enjoyed spending time outdoors gardening, mowing, and reading. She was an excellent cook and her fried chicken and scratch chocolate cake are legendary among her family. Judy had a beautiful alto singing voice, sang faithfully in various church groups for decades, in the McPherson Chorale, and in the Messiah for the Bethany College Oratorio Society for many years. She also encouraged her children in their musical pursuits and played the piano for numerous family sing-alongs. Judy retired from Dillon’s in 2002 after 25 years in various departments and was a volunteer at Save N Share for several years. Holidays were almost always at Grandma Judy’s house, and she worked hard to make them beautiful and special. She always had a loving servant’s heart toward her family. At a young age, Judy became a believer in Jesus Christ and was a member of the McPherson Free Methodist Church, where she served faithfully in many capacities during her lifetime. Her faith was especially dear to her during four major cancer battles, the last of which took her physical life. She trusted in Christ alone for her salvation and rested on the promises found in Romans 8:28-30 and John 14:1-3. The last few years of her life proved to be a refining fire, but she was always ready to testify to God’s faithfulness and goodness. Her family cherishes this legacy most of all. Judith Lavonne Wiggins Potter passed from this world into eternal life on Wednesday, February 24 at just after 3 p.m. at her home, attended by her daughter Sarah. She was predeceased by her parents, grandson Christopher Bradley Shepard, brother-in-law Richard Potter, and nephew Wes Black. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Larry E. Kenneth served his country in the United States Navy from 1973 – 1976. He worked in shipping and receiving most of his career. Kenneth was united in marriage to Penny Brown on August 27, 1976 in Portland, OR. 

He was very musical and could pay trombone, guitar, flute and many other instruments. He enjoyed creating websites on his computer for churches and especially his Disney fan website. Kenneth was an excellent photographer and most especially enjoyed his grandchildren. 

His loving family includes his wife of 44 years, Penny Voller of Herington; daughter Jennel (Philip) Rowe of White City; grandchildren Jonathan Rowe, Justin Schultz, Christine (Tommy) Borrell, Tyler Schultz, and McKenzie (Ryan) Hicks; great grandchildren Corbin, Tobias, Isabella, Zenaida, Anthony, and Calliope; siblings Lynda (Dale) Simonton of WA, Janet Kubachek of WA, and David Voller of WA. Kenneth passed away on February 24, 2021 in Topeka. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Sheryl (Pearce) Flesher, age 72, entered into rest on Friday, February 26, 2021 at Good Shepard Homecare and Hospice, Manhattan KS.&nbsp; She was born on November 6, 1948 in Clay Center, Kansas to William and Ruth (Adam) Pearce.

Sheryl was a 1966 graduate of Clyde High School.&nbsp; She attended Wichita Beauty College in Wichita, Kansas.

Sheryl worked as a Desk Clerk in Manhattan at the Holiday Inn and later Quality Inn.

She was an avid K-State Wildcat Fan and enjoyed watching KSU sports, Nascar Racing and traveling.

Sheryl is survived by her son, William Flesher, Jr., Manhattan, KS; 4 sisters, Sandra (LeRoy) Lyne of Oak Hill, KS; Susan (Jim) Schmidt of Elk City, OK; Shelley (Bill) Shivers) of Clay Center, KS; Sharon Pearce of Clay Center, KS; 2 brothers, Stan (Judy) of Cherokee, KS; Scott Pearce, Park City, KS; 2 grandchildren, DaKie Washington and DaKel Flesher, 2 great-grandchildren, Alaena and Amora Flesher.

Courtney Ann Hoffman, 36, of Salina, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2021.&nbsp; She was born in Hays, KS, on January 12, 1985, to Barry Hoffman and Taphne (Doht) Hoffman.&nbsp; She graduated from Salina Central High School in 2003.&nbsp; Courtney was a loving and dedicated mother, she was dealt some hard hands but always tried to preserve.&nbsp; She will be missed dearly by her many friends.

She is survived by her parents, Taphne Speilman, of Salina, Barry Hoffman (Leslie K.), of Russell, children, Tyleigh, Jesse, and Josaline; siblings, Joshua Strine, of Hays, Allison Hoffman, of New York City, Justin Hoffman (Krista), of Kechi, and step-sister, Kathleen Lemke (Brian), of Geneva, NE.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Imogene and Jim Hoffman, Jack and Maxine Doht.

Celebration of life will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, March 5, 2021 at Ryan Mortuary.

Gerald Bernard Taylor was born June 29, 1928 in Abilene, Kansas, the son of Leroy ‘Dutch' G. Taylor and Avis R. (Rodgers). He left this earth February 24, 2021 at the age of 92. 

Jerry graduated from Abilene High School with the Class of 1946, and served in the Army National Guard Kansas Reserves from 1950-1953. He married Virginia Lou Davis on March 30, 1952 in Abilene. Over the years he worked in the parts and service departments of car dealerships in Salina, Abilene, and Herington, and later owned and operated Jerry's Auto Service of Abilene. As his boys were growing up, he became a Boy Scouts of America Troop #40 Leader, and for his girls he helped organize and coach the Abilene Ikes Girls Softball teams. A lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church he taught youth Sunday School and lead a youth singing choir. A faithful servant, he ushered the early morning services for 40 years. Jerry served on the USD 435 Board of Education for 8 years, and then was elected to the Abilene City Commission from 1987 to 1995, serving as Mayor from 1989-1990. He was appointed to the Central Kansas Wholesale Water District #10 where he was Vice President for 6 years, and then President for 2 years. In his retirement years he loved doing woodworking projects for family, neighbors and friends. Spending nearly all of his life in Abilene, he was a very community-minded man of humble service. Jerry is survived by his wife of 68 years, Virginia of Abilene, sons, Scott Taylor (and wife, Roberta) of Topeka, Randall Taylor of Enterprise, Garry Taylor of Abilene; and daughters, Nancy Goracke (and husband, Kim) of Manhattan, Janet Griggs (and husband, Randy) of Salina, and Sue Hern, also of Salina; his sister, Betty Jo McHenry of Topeka; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his brothers, Wayne R. Taylor, Dale L. Taylor and Max E. Taylor. Jerry was cremated and no funeral service is planned at this time. The family suggests memorial contributions in his memory to the Abilene Animal Hospital, Adopt-A-Pet Fund, 320 NE 14th Street, Abilene, Kansas 67410-1928.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis E. and Bessie L. (St. Clair) Bates Sr.

Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Jeanette M. Robert Gene “Bob” Bottger, the son of Paul Jensen Bottger and Hazel Lucille (Moore) Bottger, was born November 22, 1935 as a twin in Concordia, KS and passed away on February 23, 2021 at Republic County Hospital-ISB, Belleville, KS at the age of 85 years, 3 months, and 1 day.

&nbsp;Bob grew up in Belleville, graduating from Belleville High School in 1954.&nbsp;&nbsp; He then attended Fairbury Junior College on a 2 year football scholarship.&nbsp; After college, he went to work for the Rock Island Railroad in Lincoln, NE on June 26, 1956.&nbsp;&nbsp; He started out on the freight docks but also unloaded cars, loaded trucks, worked as a yard clerk, baggage &amp; express clerk and a relief operator. He met his 1st&nbsp;wife Patricia Weber from Friend, NE while he was working in Fairbury. He also worked in Beatrice, NE and Goodland, KS. He married Patricia on November 26, 1960 and they soon moved to Phillipsburg. They had a son, Barry Kent.&nbsp; Bob lost his wife and unborn daughter Terri Lynn from illness during her 2nd&nbsp;pregnancy on June 3, 1965 . He and Barry moved to Belleville with family and he continued to work for the Rock Island as a clerk from June of 1966 to March 1, 1980.

In 1967h e thought he was to be laid off from the RR soon so he purchased the bar at 18th&nbsp;and M. He renamed it Bob’s Recreation. He never got laid off and so juggled both jobs from November of 1967 until 1980 when the Rock Island RR shut down. He hosted and traveled to many pool tournaments with his buddy Jack Morgan who introduced him to his 2nd&nbsp;wife, Phillis (Beeson) Cottenmyre. They were married on May 7, 1977, and he became step-dad to her 5 children – Teresa Lynn, Michael Charles, Robert Wayne, Karen Faye and Yvonne Marie. Then they had a daughter, Jennifer Ann.&nbsp;&nbsp; He owned and ran the bar until 1986 and then worked various jobs, including the local seed company, driving truck for Anderson’s, bartending at Rock Island Lounge (Bell-Villa) and a failed business named Crusty’s Pizza in Omaha, NE. Then he took a job working as a 3rd&nbsp;trick dispatcher for Kyle Railroad and Arizona Eastern Railroad in Phillipsburg, KS in May of 1988 where he later got promoted to Chief Dispatcher aka “Big Kahuna” and worked there until he retired on August 31, 2000.&nbsp; Bob was active at the local coffee shops and also at bars that had snooker tables and was part of a league there at Darlene’s Bar &amp; Grill.Bob and Phillis moved back to Belleville to retire in their first marital home at 1714 Q Street. Bob went back to work hauling train crews and driving farm trucks for Roger Benyshek and Ed Popelka.&nbsp; He got a job working with his brother Norm as a door greeter at the Walmart in Concordia and worked there from November 30, 2004 until the end of 2013. His retirement activities included playing cards in his old bar, coffee breaks to various places in town, dessert and chat visits to his brother Norm’s, travel to Florida to see his daughter and a train trip out West to Seattle, WA.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Bob was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Patricia and infant daughter, Terri Lynn;&nbsp; son, Robert Wayne Cottenmyre;&nbsp; three brothers,&nbsp; Herb, Norman, and Bob’s twin brother, Richard;&nbsp; granddaughter, Raelene Henderson, many cousins, and other family members.He is survived by his wife, Phillis M.
