Maxine May Kearn, age 92, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at the Bethany Home in Lindsborg, Kansas. The family has requested a private graveside service with immediate family members only, with Pastor Dwight Whitead officiating.

Maxine was born on the family farm near Douglas, Nebraska on May 23, 1929 to Albert and Christina (Hofker) Eis.

Maxine married Harold D. Kearn on January 1, 1951 in Concordia, Kansas. To this union four children were born, Kathleen, Gary, Terry, and Susan. Harold preceded her in death on August 4, 2018.

Maxine worked at the Cheyenne Lodge in Jamestown and later Mt. Joseph Senior Village, Concordia.

Maxine and her husband Harold spent the majority of their life in the Jamestown and Concordia area. They moved to Bethany Home six years ago.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold Kearn, four siblings, and one great-grandson.

She is survived by four children; Kathleen Bazzano (Carmen) Merrimack, NH; Gary Kearn (Helen) Salina, KS; Terry Kearn (Kelley) Harrah, OK; and Susan Mills (Kurt) Big Cabin, OK. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Maxine was an inspiration to her family and friends and will be dearly missed.
