Daniel D. Kline (Pastor Dan), age 71, of West Grove, PA and former pastor of First Baptist Church of Clay Center, KS passed into the arms of his Lord and Savior on February 27, 2022.&nbsp; He was born in Lynchburg, VA in 1950 to the late Karl L. Kline and Arline Kline Gunderson.

Dan was a 1969 graduate of Emmaus High School in Emmaus, PA and a graduate of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY.

Dan’s full time ministry life included the following: Associate Pastor of Kanawha City Baptist Church in Charleston, WV, Christian Ed / Youth / Music Pastor at First Baptist Church of South Charleston, WV, Youth Pastor and Interim Pastor at Clarksburg Baptist Church and VA Chaplain in Clarksburg, WV, Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church of Clay Center, KS, Meadowlark Hospice Chaplain in Clay Center, KS, Senior Pastor of Willow Grove Baptist Church Willow Grove, PA, Senior Pastor of Kennett Square First Baptist Church in Kennett Square, PA, EPIC Ministry Pastor at Avondale Presbyterian Church, Avondale, PA and Associate Pastor of Media Mennonite Church - now called Waterway Church in Oxford, PA.

Dan retired from full time ministry in 2018 due to declining health but remained a faithful pastor to many and found creative ways to share the gospel wherever he went.&nbsp; Three simple words, “Enjoy the Gift” was his way of creating a joyful introduction to any stranger that he would meet.&nbsp; This opened up the door to share Jesus with them.&nbsp; Dan’s gift of compassion for others led him to visit many people over the years in their time of need.&nbsp; Dan had a beautiful singing voice and played his guitar for over 55 years.&nbsp; He was a man of prayer.&nbsp; He will be remembered as well for his quick puns and jokes!

Dan’s life verse was Romans 1:16 “ For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.”

In 1984, Dan married Cheryl Baughman Kline with whom he shared 38 years of life together in full-time ministry.&nbsp; Dan was a faithful dedicated father to daughter, Alicia Kline Hendrickson and son, Joshua Kline.

Dan is survived by his wife Cheryl, daughter Alicia Kline Hendrickson, son-in-law Chuck Hendrickson, all of West Grove, PA, and son Joshua Kline of Anderson, Indiana.

Also surviving are his&nbsp; Dave (Patricia) Kline of Sewell, NJ, Jon (Joanne) of Franklinville, NJ, sister Cheryl DeShazier of CharlesTown, IN; sister Karlene VanNess of West Sussex, England and half-brother George Jones of Santa Cruz, CA, and extended family.

A service will be held at&nbsp; First Baptist Church in Clay Center KS, on Saturday, May 21st at 11:00 a.m.. Friends can visit with the family one hour prior to the service.&nbsp;

Private interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Clay Center, KS&nbsp;

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that contributions be made to Meadowlark Hospice, 709 Liberty Street, Clay Center, KS 67432 or to First Baptist Church, 902 5th St., Clay Center, KS 67432.

Marcella McMahon, 91, of Abilene passed away Thursday, April 7, 2022. She was born November 29, 1930 in Falls City, Nebraska, the daughter of Patrick and Marcella (Coyne) McMahon. 

Marcella grew up in Falls City, Nebraska. The family moved to Abilene when she was a senior in high school. She graduated from Abilene High School in 1948 and continued her education and graduated from Mount St. Scholastica College in Atchison, Kansas in 1952 with an education degree. Marcella taught at second grade for 44 years at Garfield Elementary. 

She was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella, Retired Teachers Association. 

Marcella is survived by her brother, Patrick McMahon Jr, of Hutchinson, Kansas and numerous nieces and nephews.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Ella Jo Callahan, sister Mary Neerman and brother-in-law Charles Neerman; sister Marjorie Caldarulo and brother-in-law Dominick Caldarulo; sister-in-law Carolyn McMahon; nieces Joann (Caldarulo) Link; nephewsPatrick Callahan and Eric Hammerschmidt and infant nieces Cassandra Link and Bridgette Kentopp. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 11, 2022 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Abilene with Father Peter O’Donnell as celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt. St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, April 10, 2022 at Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home with the family receiving friends following.

SALINA -&nbsp;Donovan Leroy Shaw, 81, born November 1, 1940 in Joplin, Missouri, passed away March 30, 2022 in his Salina home.

Donovan is survived by a brother, Dean Shaw of Washington, five sons, William and his three children; Teymoor, his wife Tamara and their five children; Michael, his wife Ashlee and their six children; Donnie and his son; and Jerry, and his three children; for a total of 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his wife Sarah; son Buddy Lee; daughter Donna Louisa, and daughter-in-law Lana.

Don Shaw was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He was a horseman, a true cowboy, who drove cattle from Texas to Kansas on horseback. Also, an excellent artist with paint and ink, and master carpenter. When he was a young man he was a semi-pro baseball player and skilled at tennis, pool and golf. He was an animal lover who enjoyed telling stories about his horses, dogs and cat. Don loved fishing and hunting and was an excellent marksman. When asked, he said that his favorite places to be were on the back of his favorite horse, Big Red, and in his workshop woodworking.

Don will be remembered as a loving, strong and kind man. He was soft spoken but of strong mind. He loved order and peace and spending time with his family.

A private family memorial service will take place.

Jolaine Hemmy&nbsp;was born in Salina, Kansas, to Richard and Elverda Hemmy on August 11, 1948. She came from a very large closeknit family that was full of love. Jolaine was a beautiful young woman with large brown eyes, long brown hair who was very shy.

When Jolaine was 17 years old, on July 1, 1966 she vanished without a trace. 

On July 5, 1966 an unidentified young woman was found drowned in a swimming pool at a hotel in Pecos, Texas. The town of Pecos embraced this young woman and laid her to rest in their cemetery.

Fifty-five years later the Pecos Police Chief Lisa Tarango came to Salina to let the family know that their <a href="https://salinapost.com/posts/bdd915d0-de0b-4bd6-91ed-eb4e8c727625">loved one was in fact the unidentified young woman known to the city of Pecos as Pecos Jane Doe</a>.

She was preceded in death by her mother Elverda Hemmy; her father Richard Hemmy; three sisters, Janice Brown, Darlene Williams and Carolyn Grout Hemmy; and brothers Richard Jr. and Larry.

Survivors include her sisters, Rosemary Divilbiss, Joyce Hemmy, Marilyn Edwards, and Barbara Marsh; and her brothers Paul, Jim, John, Bill and Jerry.

There will be a graveside memorial Service for Jolaine Hemmy at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 9th at the All Saints Catholic Cemetery, 3350 E. Crawford Street, Salina, Kansas. Fr. Keith Weber will officiate the service.

Following the service there will be a get together at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 1000 Burr Oak Lane, Salina, Kansas.

Susan "Sue" Rasher Siebert Shuman&nbsp;passed away peacefully on April 4, 2022 after a 10-year fight with cancer.

Sue was born March 9, 1939 in Abilene Kansas to Leslie G. and Rema V. Rasher. She graduated from Abilene High School in 1957.&nbsp; She graduated from Kansas State University in 1961. She was a member of Kappa Delta sorority. 

Sue married Bill Siebert in June, 1961 and moved to California. They later moved back to Salina in 1964. They had a daughter, Cindy, and a son, Scott. They later divorced.

Sue was a secretary for Hampton, Royce, Engleman and Nelson, attorneys, for a number of years before going to work for Frisbie Construction in the early 1970s. Sue purchased World Travel Center in 1984. Sue fulfilled her dream of escorting numerous groups on trips throughout the world and was integral in creating wonderful memories for so many. She sold her agency and retired in September, 2017.

On May 9, 1987, Sue married John Shuman and they were married for nearly 21 years before his passing on January 29, 2008.

Over the years Sue enjoyed being a part of the Silver Sabres Drum and Bugle corps, playing bridge for many years, delivering Meals on Wheels and volunteering at the Food Bank.

She always took time to attend all her kids' events and most all of her grandkids' events. After moving to Salina, Sue was an active member of the Church of the Incarnation. After retiring, Sue joined Trinity United Methodist Church in 2019.

Sue was always there to help any friend or stranger in need.&nbsp; She had a positive attitude which was an inspiration to all who knew her. She had a special way of making those around her feel important and cared for. Sue was an outstanding mother, stepmother, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law and friend. There was nothing she loved more than her family and the memories she made with them were the highlights of her life. Her second love was traveling and creating wonderful memories for all the groups who traveled the world with her.

Sue was a wonderful cook and frequently cooked meals for the 120+ Drum Corps members, friends and their families and always baked numerous batches of “everything cookies” for her group bus trips.

Sue leaves behind her daughter Cindy (Tom) Goldsmith, McPherson, KS; son Scott Siebert, Manhattan, KS, grandchildren, all of Wichita, KS, Claire (Spencer) Moore, Graham (Grace) Krizek, Cole (Colleen) Krizek, and great-granddaughters Sage, Rynn, and Sutton Krizek. She also leaves behind five stepchildren, Debbie Shuman, Scott Shuman, Ron Shuman, Donna Shuman, and Kathy Robison, seven stepgrandchildren, Eric Shuman (Chandreyee), Crista Eggers (Easton), Brett Shuman, Stetson Robison, Casey Robison (Shayla), Dillion Shuman, and John Shuman; five stepgreat-grandchildren, niece Sara Avery of Lafayette, CO as well as numerous cousins and many, many beloved friends.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather Frank Cayton, and sister Nancy Avery.

Visitation will be Friday, May 6 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Ryan Mortuary, Salina. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, May 7 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church with Harry Tysen of Maplewood, NJ and Eric Meyer, officiating. A private family burial will be held at a later date at Abilene Cemetery.

She sold her agency and retired in September, 2017.On May 9, 1987, Sue married John Shuman and they were married for nearly 21 years before his passing on January 29, 2008.Over the years Sue enjoyed being a part of the Silver Sabres Drum and Bugle corps, playing bridge for many years, delivering Meals on Wheels and volunteering at the Food Bank.She always took time to attend all her kids' events and most all of her grandkids' events. After moving to Salina, Sue was an active member of the Church of the Incarnation. After retiring, Sue joined Trinity United Methodist Church in 2019.Sue was always there to help any friend or stranger in need.&nbsp; She had a positive attitude which was an inspiration to all who knew her. She had a special way of making those around her feel important and cared for. Sue was an outstanding mother, stepmother, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law and friend. There was nothing she loved more than her family and the memories she made with them were the highlights of her life. Her second love was traveling and creating wonderful memories for all the groups who traveled the world with her.Sue was a wonderful cook and frequently cooked meals for the 120+ Drum Corps members, friends and their families and always baked numerous batches of “everything cookies” for her group bus trips.Sue leaves behind her daughter Cindy (Tom) Goldsmith, McPherson, KS; son Scott Siebert, Manhattan, KS, grandchildren, all of Wichita, KS, Claire (Spencer) Moore, Graham (Grace) Krizek, Cole (Colleen) Krizek, and great-granddaughters Sage, Rynn, and Sutton Krizek. She also leaves behind five stepchildren, Debbie Shuman, Scott Shuman, Ron Shuman, Donna Shuman, and Kathy Robison, seven stepgrandchildren, Eric Shuman (Chandreyee), Crista Eggers (Easton), Brett Shuman, Stetson Robison, Casey Robison (Shayla), Dillion Shuman, and John Shuman; five stepgreat-grandchildren, niece Sara Avery of Lafayette, CO as well as numerous cousins and many, many beloved friends.Sue was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather Frank Cayton, and sister Nancy Avery.Visitation will be Friday, May 6 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Ryan Mortuary, Salina. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who always enjoyed hanging out with his best friends Kim, Cary, and Ron.

Evan was preceded in death by his parents.

He was born July 11, 1983, in Ventura 
County, California, the son of David Paul “Moose” and Lois Lee (Craven) 
LaRue.&nbsp; Chad attended Hays High School and lived most of his life in 
Hays before moving to Salina several years ago.&nbsp; He had a strong faith 
in God, enjoyed playing video games, and was good with computers.

Survivors include his brother Jeremy LaRue and wife Kendra, and grandmother Audrey LaRue, all of Hays.

Elva “Irene” Cooper passed away to be in her heavenly home, on March 28,
 2022, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, at the age of 90. She was born to 
Ralph and Elva (Weinhold) Cooper on January 13, 1932, in Russell County,
 Kansas. Irene was united in marriage to Henry Hrabik Jr. and they were 
blessed with two boys: Steven and David. The couple later divorced.
 Irene grew up in Russell County. She graduated from Dorrance High 
School in 1951 and furthered her education at a business school in 
Denver, Colorado. When Irene and Henry Jr. married, the couple moved 
around, and she stayed home to raise her family. Irene was raised in a 
God-centered home, so in turn she raised her family to know and love the
 Lord. She loved her family and her Dachshunds like they were her own 
kids. Irene enjoyed playing the piano, singing, country gospel music, 
and old westerns like Bonanza and Gunsmoke.
 Irene was an angel among us with a heart of gold. She set before us 
an example and taught us with her daily life how to act with justice, to
 treasure the Lord's gracious love, and to walk humbly in the company of
 our Savior. We will miss her greatly, but only for a little while, 
until we see her again on the streets of gold.
 She is survived by her children, Steven Hrabik of Colorado Springs, 
CO and David and Vonda Hrabik of Colorado Springs, CO; siblings, Ina 
Hendrick of Salina, KS, Nancy Duryee of Dorrance, KS, Mayme Martin of 
Russell Co., KS; one grandchild, Amanda and Mike Maricekic; and 
great-grandchildren, Malakai and Amila.

Robert W. “Bob” Wise, age 86, passed away Wednesday, January 6, at KU Medical Center, Kansas City. Bob was born April 15, 1934 to Jake and Ruth Wise and raised on a farm in Fernald, Iowa. Bob graduated from high school in 1952 and moved to McPherson to attend McPherson College and play football. He received his bachelor’s degree from McPherson College in 1956, married his college sweetheart, Anita McSpadden, and coached football before moving to Washington, DC, for law school. He received his law degree, with honors, from George Washington University in 1961. While in law school, he worked as a special agent for the Office of Naval Intelligence and was a member of the board of editors of the George Washington University Law Review. Bob loved the practice of law and his partners and was proud of his firm’s 135 year history. He was an active member of the McPherson law firm Wise &amp; Reber L.C. at his death. He practiced for 60 years in the areas of litigation, business, banking, trusts and estates, arbitration and mediation and never considered retirement. He was past president of the Kansas Bar Association, past chair of the KBA Ethics Grievance Panel, and was a recipient of the KBA’s Professionalism Award, its Outstanding Service Award and the Kansas Bar Foundation Robert K. Weary Award. He was also a past member of the State Board of Law Examiners, Kansas Annual Survey Committee and was a fellow of the Kansas Bar Foundation. Bob was universally respected by Kansas lawyers and represented thousands of clients. Bob served as an unseen advisor to city and county leaders throughout his career and was instrumental in creating a forward thinking political and business culture in McPherson. As president of the McPherson Industrial Development Company, (“MIDC”), Bob was instrumental in recruiting two of McPherson’s flagship industries, Sterling Drug, now Pfizer Pharmaceutical, and Johns Manville. Bob served on the MIDC Board for nineteen years and as president for nine years. During his tenure as president, McPherson’s industrial base enjoyed remarkable growth and expansion. Bob also influenced the retail sector with his work on behalf of the Chamber of Commerce as president. Bob has held numerous volunteer positions including president of the McPherson United Way and as a member of the Memorial Hospital board of directors. He led a significant hospital expansion as chair of the New Building Committee. Bob was a long time champion of local educational institutions, McPherson College and Central Christian College of Kansas. His support and counsel over the decades was recognized by McPherson College with an honorary Doctor of Laws degree and his induction into Central Christian College’s Academe of Achievers. He is survived by his wife Anita, son Darrell, grandchildren Erin Holman, Daniel Holman and Shannon Wise, sisters Lu Neher and Betty Wenger, his law partners, and legions of friends and clients.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rhonda Holman. He was a member of the McPherson Church of the Brethren.

Blair Morgan Helvey, 28, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022. She was born September 1, 1993, in Salina, KS to Dean and Sandra (Cockroft) Choitz. Family was everything to Blair. She loved her family and the many occasions they spent together. 

After Blair graduated from Ellsworth High School in 2012, she went on to study at Bellus Academy in Manhattan, KS.

Upon her graduation in 2013, she went to work for the Hair Loft Salon &amp; Spa in Salina, KS.&nbsp; Blair’s career was never just work; it was her passion. Her coworkers were like family. Blair always strived to improve and better her skills so that she could help others, travelling to many states for her continuing education.

Blair married Joseph “Joe” Helvey on December 29, 2018, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Ellsworth. Joe was the love of Blair’s life. When she wasn’t working, she could be found by Joe’s side, whether it was riding in the semi to the elevator with him or sitting next to him in the tractor or combine. The love they had for each other was unrivaled and together they had a zest for life, travelling together every chance they got.&nbsp; &nbsp;

Blair is survived by her husband Joseph Helvey of Ellsworth, KS; parents Dean and Sandy Choitz of Ellsworth; brother Ethan Choitz (Amanda) of Concordia, KS; niece and nephews Cayden, Reagyn, and Rhett; grandmother Dorothy Choitz of Ellsworth; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, George Choitz and George McCormick.

After Blair graduated from Ellsworth High School in 2012, she went on to study at Bellus Academy in Manhattan, KS.Upon her graduation in 2013, she went to work for the Hair Loft Salon &amp; Spa in Salina, KS.&nbsp; Blair’s career was never just work; it was her passion. Her coworkers were like family. Blair always strived to improve and better her skills so that she could help others, travelling to many states for her continuing education.Blair married Joseph “Joe” Helvey on December 29, 2018, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Ellsworth. Joe was the love of Blair’s life. When she wasn’t working, she could be found by Joe’s side, whether it was riding in the semi to the elevator with him or sitting next to him in the tractor or combine. Karen Sue McNee, 69 of Clay Center, died Sunday, March 27, 2022 at the Midland Hospice House in Topeka.&nbsp; She was born on September 5, 1952 in Clay Center, the daughter of Elmo and Wilma (Fyfe) McNee.&nbsp; She grew up in Clay Center and graduated from CCCHS in 1971.&nbsp; She worked at the Key Mill egg plant, Mac’s Diner, Cedar Court Restaurant and the Clay Center Presbyterian Manor.&nbsp; Karen was a member of the Clay Center Wesleyan Church. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister LaVone Lang and niece Lisa Lang.

Joe Whitmore was born on March 10, 1933, in Newton, Kansas to Roy William Whitmore and Mary Agnes (Lintner). He peacefully went home to the Lord on March 28, 2020, in Richardson, Texas following a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. 

He is survived by his devoted wife, Betty whom he married in 1990, his son Frederick (Fred) Whitmore and wife Leslie, his daughter Ann Mercado and husband Caesar, five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Joe is also survived by Betty’s children Charles (Ronnie) Robison and Judy Wittenback, four stepgrandchildren and five great-grandchildren. 

His sister Erma Lou Noll predeceased him in 2012. Joe had an idyllic childhood growing up in Potwin, Kansas. He graduated from Potwin High School in the class of 1951. On March 10, 1953, he married Joyce Vogelman and they had two children, Fred and Ann.

He achieved the rank of corporal in the Army during the Korean War. 

Joe graduated from Wichita State University with a degree in business administration. After college graduation, Joe then took over the family business in Potwin, Whitmore Hardware and Lumber, which was established by his grandfather John Oliver Whitmore in 1909. 

Joe’s retail career transitioned into the agriculture business as he and his father sold hybrid corn and sorghum field seeds to local farmers with the Garst and Pioneer seed companies. In 1973, the company moved the family to Garden City, Kansas, where he served as district and regional sales manager for the Garst Production Plant. 

In 1987, Joe moved to Richardson, Texas to be near his two children and to assist Fred, his son, in his mortgage company. 

In 1990, he married Betty (Thompson) Robison. Throughout his life, Joe was devoted to showing and sharing the love and compassion of our Lord. He was baptized in his youth at the Potwin Christian Church. He was an active member and greatly enjoyed serving as a deacon and Sunday school teacher of the Potwin and Garden City Christian churches as well as the United Disciples Christian Church in Richardson. Joe and Betty also volunteered for many years at Methodist Richardson Medical Center. He especially enjoyed delivering cards and flowers to the patients. In his spare time, Joe was a loyal fan of sports. He played baseball and basketball during his years in high school. As an adult, one of his favorite past-times was golf. Every Wednesday, he enjoyed playing a good round with his buddies until very late in life.

The family would like to thank The Plaza at Richardson staff that helped Betty take such great care of him during his final years.

Joe’s family will gather with friends at McGill Cemetery, Potwin, Kansas on Saturday April 23, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. for a graveside service.

LaRue Jean Hansen, age 91, entered into rest on Sunday, April 3, 2022, at the Sunset Nursing Home, Concordia, Kansas.&nbsp; She was born on July 15, 1930 in Jamestown, Kansas to Charles and&nbsp; Alice (Richardson) Lundblade.

LaRue grew up in the Jamestown community attending school in Jamestown

LaRue was married to Edwin Flinn and to this union six wonderful children were born, Janice, Jennifer, Jody, Jackie, Jennie, and Jeffrey.&nbsp; They later divorced.

She worked as a nurse's aide at the Sunset Nursing Home for many years and later at the Marquis Place, both of Concordia.

LaRue enjoyed playing bingo, attending her card club, reading novels and most of all, spending time with her family and friends.

She was a member of the American Legion Women’s Aux and V.F.W. Women’s Aux, both of Concordia.

She is survived by her six children, Janice Edwards (Clifford), Salina, KS; Jennifer Ramsey (Richard), Concordia, KS; Jody Sappington, Houston, TX; Jackie Eyer, Belleville, KS; Jennie Martin (Doug), Douglas, WY; and Jeffrey Flinn (Sandy), Baytown, TX; 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Earl, Archie and Albert Lundblade, sisters Mae Hollingsworth, Leota Nelson, Pearl Peterson, Dora Fraser and son-in-law, John Eyer.

Visitation will be held from 1-8 p.m, Thursday, April 7, 2022 at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.&nbsp;

Arthur “Art” W. Howell, Jr. 86, passed away Friday, March 11, 2022, in Lincoln, KS. He was born June 20, 1935, to Arthur and Lola Ann (Spear) Howell, in Anderson, MO. 

﻿Art was a licensed engineer and surveyor. He served as county engineer in several counties in Kansas having been the Lincoln County Engineer at the age of 25. 

Art and his wife, Eula Mae established their own engineering firm in Lincoln County. He also held a private pilot’s license. 

Art was a past member of the Kansas State Board of Agriculture and the Kansas State Fair Board. Serving as past president, Art had been active in the Kansas Simmental Association through the years. His involvement in the American Boer Goat Association was felt throughout the United States of America.

Art was a stalwart volunteer for the Convention of States movement. He had a formal role as regional captain and the informal role as the state charmer. He could not leave a room until he shared his love for individual rights and limited government with everyone there. He disarmed his opponents with his smile and charm.

Art’s involvement in the Convention of States project promoted his belief in Article Five of United States Constitution.

Art is survived by his son&nbsp;Daniel Howell; grandson&nbsp;Dusty Howell; granddaughter&nbsp;Nikki Howell; granddaughter&nbsp;Katie (Jason) McWilliams; grandson&nbsp;Joshua Howell; grandson&nbsp;Whit Divilbiss; grandson&nbsp;Court Allmond; granddaughter&nbsp;KaiCee Campbell; brothers Frank (Nina) Howell, Lyle (Lyn) Howell and Butch (Marge) Howell; brother-in-law&nbsp;Jim LePisto; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Ronald Dean Bryant, 55, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 4:52 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2022 unexpectedly at his residence.

Ronald was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on November 4, 1966, a son of Sherilyn Evamae Grace (Hodgkin) Thompson and David Linwood Bryant.

Ronald attended and graduated from Faith Baptist School, Olathe, Kansas in 1985. He then attended a computer trade school in Roanoke, Virginia. He was a member of Countryside Covenant Church in McPherson.

Through the years Ronald worked as a operator with Viega Mfg. for 13 years.

Ronald enjoyed Chiefs football, especially watching them win, with his daughter Camille, Nascar, especially Dale Earnhardt, Jr., traveling, camping and spending time with friends and family. His life ambition was to have a family, which he did with Menchu and Camille.

Ronald Bryant was united in marriage to Menchu Perida on March 23, 2013 in McPherson, Kansas. The young couple established their first home together in McPherson. This union was blessed with Ron adopting Menchu's daughter, Camille.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Menchu Bryant, of McPherson, Kansas; his daughter Camille Bryant, of McPherson, Kansas; his father, David Bryant and his wife Sue, of Hudson, Florida; his mother, Sherilyn Thompson and her husband Bob, of Windham, Maine; his siblings Rick Bryant and his significant other Rhonda Apana, of Dexter, Maine, Holly Page and her husband Morey, of Vernon, Vermont, Randall Bryant and his significant other Marta Landeros, of Lyons, Kansas and Rusty Bryant and his wife Loreane, of Watervliet, New York.He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Glidden-Ediger Chapel, McPherson, Kansas. He then attended a computer trade school in Roanoke, Virginia. He was a member of Countryside Covenant Church in McPherson.Through the years Ronald worked as a operator with Viega Mfg. for 13 years.Ronald enjoyed Chiefs football, especially watching them win, with his daughter Camille, Nascar, especially Dale Earnhardt, Jr., traveling, camping and spending time with friends and family. His life ambition was to have a family, which he did with Menchu and Camille.Ronald Bryant was united in marriage to Menchu Perida on March 23, 2013 in McPherson, Kansas. The young couple established their first home together in McPherson. This union was blessed with Ron adopting Menchu's daughter, Camille.He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Menchu Bryant, of McPherson, Kansas; his daughter Camille Bryant, of McPherson, Kansas; his father, David Bryant and his wife Sue, of Hudson, Florida; his mother, Sherilyn Thompson and her husband Bob, of Windham, Maine; his siblings Rick Bryant and his significant other Rhonda Apana, of Dexter, Maine, Holly Page and her husband Morey, of Vernon, Vermont, Randall Bryant and his significant other Marta Landeros, of Lyons, Kansas and Rusty Bryant and his wife Loreane, of Watervliet, New York.He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Glidden-Ediger Chapel, McPherson, Kansas. John Edward Schwartz, the son of Christina Margaret (Kuhn) McReynolds and John J. Schwartz was born on March 9, 1954 in Hoisington, Kansas. He was one of six children born to this union, four sons and two daughters, John Jr., Betty, Don, Theresa, Tom and John. 

John attended St. John grade school, Hoisington, Kansas and graduated from Hoisington High School, Hoisington, Kansas in 1972. He then attended Barton County Community College, Great Bend, Kansas for automotive mechanics. After John was discharged from the military he attended Hutchinson Community College, Hutchinson, Kansas where he received his associate's degree.

John E. Schwartz was united in marriage to Nancy Jean Sheridan on April 28, 1975 in Ellsworth, Kansas. The young couple established their first home together in Bainbridge, Maryland. This union was blessed with the birth of two daughters, Sonya and Megan.

Through the years John worked as an electrician for the Board of Public Utilities, McPherson, Kansas. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in McPherson.John was a Christian, loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and dear friend to many. His wise counsel, gentle but firm guidance and gracious smile will be missed by all those who knew and loved him. He was very proud of his children and always wanted the very best for them. He was especially fond of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and looked forward to the times they would share together. John was a master of all trades who could build anything from a house to a vehicle from scratch. His favorite pastime was restoring old Chevy trucks but he was reluctant to even work on Fords or foreign vehicles. He also enjoyed traveling with the Hot Rod Power Tour, competing in car shows with the Mac Area Cruisers, and watching Nascar every weekend. He loved going to auctions and swap meets. For him, everything was for sale, for the right price of course. When John was a young man, he was an excellent drummer and still enjoyed listening to anything with a good drum line. John cherished his family and friends, but was always quick to say goodbye.John Edward Schwartz, 68, of Moundridge, Kansas, passed away at 5:44 p.m., Tuesday, March 29th, 2022 unexpectedly at his residence.
