Patricia Ann Webb (Bradshaw)&nbsp;of Tescott, KS passed away April 14, 2022, her wedding anniversary to her husband of 64 years, Norman Webb.&nbsp; Together they had five children, David Webb, Charlotte Hickles, Mark Webb, Gregg Webb and wife Kelli, John Webb and wife Kelli, 15 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Patricia was born in 1940 to Ernest Bradshaw and Cleta Bradshaw (Havely) in Walnut, KS. She was the second oldest of 14 siblings.&nbsp; Eventually the Bradshaw family moved to Beverly, KS where she met Norm. They finally situated on a small farm South of Tescott, KS and there she stayed with her family. 

Patricia (Pat) was a stay-at-home mom, a waitress at the Brookville Hotel, and a manager at Nickerson Farms.

After retirement, she loved to travel with her mother Cleta, her sister Mary, and her daughter Charlotte. Dementia eventually ended her journeys. 

The family is especially grateful to the staff at Minneapolis Hospital, Long Term Care wing, who cared for her in her final years. They were her family. Thank you. To a loving wife, mother and woman who made everyone feel better, Patricia you will be missed. Godspeed. &nbsp;

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at Ryan Mortuary. Rosary service will begin at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday April 22, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will be in the Franklin Cemetery, Tescott, KS.

Geneva Gale Olson-Burton, 96, died April 12, 2022, in Salina, Kansas. She was born in Ellsworth, Kansas, 10 miles south on a farm, to Dick and Ella (Hoffman) Rathbun, on November 26, 1925.

She went to school in a one-room schoolhouse, which was across the road from her house. She graduated from Lorraine High School in 1943 from there she moved to Salina.

She worked at the Lamer Hotel for three years then moved back to the farm in Ellsworth. In 1951, she moved to Lyons, Kansas with her parents. She worked in a little café for three years where she met and married Raymond D. Olson of Chase, Kansas, on June 3, 1955.

They had three children: Ron, Kathy, and Rick. The couple moved to Salina, Kansas in May, 1966 where Gale ran a day care in her home for 25 years. She retired in 1991. She was also a member of a Birthday Club from 1984-2009. 

July 12, 1991, Gale married Thomas D. Burton in Salina.

She is preceded in death by her two husbands, Raymond Olson and Thomas D. Burton (2008); parents; brothers and their spouses, Delbert “Deb” Rathbun (Hazel), Merle “Shorty” Rathbun (Wilma), Donald “Doc” Rathbun (Madge), and Clyde “Hap” Rathbun (Loneva); one bonus stepdaughter, Betty Taylor; two sisters, Ethyl Rathbun Rizor “Sis” (Glenn), and Maxine “Mic” Rathbun Clifton (A.D);&nbsp; brother-in-law David Thornton; daughter-in-law Connie Olson; and a special friend, since high school, Billie Langley.

Gale is survived by one sister, Mary Jane “Janie” Thornton, Las Vegas, Nevada, &nbsp;three children, Kathy Olson, Salina, Ron Olson, Salina, and Rick Olson, Salina, five bonus children from her second marriage, Faye Smith, Bill Burton, Cindy Johnson, and Janice Davenport, grandchildren Jake Olson, Katie Olson, Amy Olson, Shaelynn Ballard (Blake), Claire Olson, and Grace Hoge, great-grandchildren Greyson Bell, Easton Bell, Kinzley Ballard, Stella Ballard, Britton Ballard, Bennet Ballard, and Nara Olson.

On&nbsp;Thursday, April 21, 2022, the family will have a visitation tea at the&nbsp;Roselawn Heights Memorial&nbsp;Chapel from&nbsp;2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be Friday,&nbsp;April 22, 2022, at&nbsp;11:00&nbsp;a.m. at the&nbsp;Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 E. Crawford St., Salina, Kansas.&nbsp;

Joan F. Molzahn, the daughter of Ernest Buller and Martha (Wedel) Buller, was born July 9, 1934 in Newton, Kansas and passed away on April 15, 2022 at the Clay County Medical Center, Clay Center, Kansas at the age of 87 years, 9 months, and 6 days.

Joan grew up in Newton, Kansas, graduating from Newton High School.&nbsp; 

In 1953, she was united in marriage to Lloyd R. Gaiser and to this union were born four children:&nbsp; Bradley Dean, Teresa Lynn, Marian Kay, and Jeffrey Scott.

Joan was a homemaker and from 1963 until 1979 served with her husband in the United Methodist Churches of Hope, Tescott/Culver, Logan/Glade and Clyde/Agenda.&nbsp;&nbsp;

She and her husband moved to Belleville in 1979. Joan worked in the Belleville school system until her retirement in 1995. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Belleville, Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lloyd, who died of Lou Gehrig’s disease in 1989; her second husband, Robert D. Molzahn in 2021; her parents; and two brothers, Robert Lee Buller and Curtis John Buller.

Joan is survived by her children Bradley Gaiser (Marla Sanchez) of San Jose, California,&nbsp; Teresa (Jose) Navarro of San Jose, California,&nbsp; Marian (Tyler) Nelson of Clay Center, Kansas and Jeff Gaiser of Clay Center, Kansas;&nbsp; two granddaughters,&nbsp;Sydnee Nelson and Alexandra Nelson (Cory) Keehn; other relatives, and friends.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 21, 2022 at the Ida Cemetery, rural Munden, Kansas with Reverend Sang Hak Lee, officiating.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m.on Wednesday, April 20th at the Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, Belleville, Kansas.

He was in the Navy. He was a welder at Hillsboro Industries for many years where he went to work for Hess and Son Salvage afterwards. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and family.

He is proceeded in death by his parents;two brothers, Ernest Green, and John H. Green; and his first wife Inez Hope Green. 

He is survived by his wife Linda Green of Lincolnville; daughters Kathy and Steve Zimmerman of Sedan, Kansas, Shelly and Sam Tied of Travelers Rest, South Carolina, Eva Morel of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Roberta Reffitt of Arkansas City, Kansas; his many grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; his sisters Pat Wishman, Clay Center, Mavis Davies of Clay Center, Carol North of Manhattan, Janette Carter of Decater, Arkansas, Joyce Neal of Salina; and many friends.

Kenneth “Kenny” Eugene Talbott, 84, passed away on Good Friday, April 15, 2022, at his home in Marquette with his family by his side. He was born to LaMonte and Emma (Grooms) Talbott on March 18, 1938. He was a lifetime resident of Marquette. 

He graduated from Marquette High School and Barber Business School in Wichita.&nbsp;

He was a member of Elim Lutheran Church, Marquette Chamber of Commerce and part-time volunteer fireman for the Marquette Fire Department.&nbsp;

He married Freda J. Malm on September 7, 1957, at Elim Lutheran Church. 

He followed his grandfather Mahlon Grooms, uncle Dewey Grooms, and mother Emma Talbott, in the barbering profession. &nbsp;He was proud to be a third-generation barber. Grooms Barbershop started in 1888. &nbsp;Kenny started his barbering career in 1960. &nbsp;He was owner/operator of the barbershop until he retired in 2013. &nbsp;

Kenny enjoyed being with his family and friends, gardening, fishing, and watching sports events.

Kenny is survived by his wife Freda; daughter Darla Nochowicz (Larry) of St. Augustine, FL; son Darryl Talbott (Diane) of Marquette, KS; grandchildren Lindsay Nochowicz (Adam Dandis) of Littleton, CO, Lawren Terry (James) of Atlanta, GA, MaryAnne McDonnell (Kevin) of Littleton, CO, and Evan Talbott (Andrea) of Washington, DC; and great-grandchild, Sawyer May McDonnell of Littleton, CO.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Orton Talbott, and grandson Kenneth Darryl Talbott.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Elim Lutheran Church on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at 10:30 a.m.&nbsp; Private inurnment will be in the Marquette Lutheran Cemetery.&nbsp;

He graduated from Marquette High School and Barber Business School in Wichita.&nbsp;He was a member of Elim Lutheran Church, Marquette Chamber of Commerce and part-time volunteer fireman for the Marquette Fire Department.&nbsp;He married Freda J. Malm on September 7, 1957, at Elim Lutheran Church. He followed his grandfather Mahlon Grooms, uncle Dewey Grooms, and mother Emma Talbott, in the barbering profession. &nbsp;He was proud to be a third-generation barber. Louis Jack Rolfs, age 95, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather died April 16, 2022 in Ellsworth, Kansas and is reunited with Betty Jean Melchert Rolfs, his beloved wife of 71 years. He was born in Lorraine, Kansas on February 6, 1927, son of Louis L. and Margaret Rolfs. 

Louis was raised in Lorraine, Kansas and lived his entire life in the close-knit Lorraine community. 

Upon graduating from Lorraine High School, he farmed, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather. 

After marrying Betty in 1949, their life was focused on children, their extended family and their faith community at First Baptist Church of Lorraine. 

Besides his great love of farming, he enjoyed hunting, basketball and attending church and local events. He served his greater community in multiple leadership roles and was always ready to step up to the plate when work needed to be completed.

Louis and Betty fully enjoyed their five children, ten grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren, travelling often to see their out-of-state daughters and families as well as spending treasured time with their sons and families who remained in Kansas. The joy of their retirement years was their home in Tucson where he and Betty entertained, enjoyed new activities, met new friends and embraced all the southwest had to offer.

Louis loved his family and was steadfastly proud of them all. Louis was blessed with many family and community members who reached out and supported him with love and care, including the committed and caring staff at the Good Samaritan Home. He often commented how thankful he was for his family and friends and the support he received. He was a blessing to his family and his family was a blessing to him.

His natural curiosity of the world, his commitment to family and his willingness to serve others will always be remembered. He had a great sense of humor and a quick wit. The Sunday before his passing he enjoyed a family dinner at his Ellsworth home, knowing that his life was ebbing. He died peacefully, with family at his side and with a heart full of gratitude.

He enjoyed camping and fishing and spending time outside but especially loved his days on the golf course.&nbsp; A love he shared with his entire family.&nbsp; He also enjoyed skydiving and served in many areas of the church over the years.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; brother Guy Gibbons; stepmother Janille Gibbons; and stepfather Daniel Crowley.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Brenda Gibbons; children Nicole Higgins, Matthew Gibbons (Sharon), Sarah Gibbons, Kevin Gibbons; five grandchildren; stepbrother Derek Cawthon (Terri); stepsister Karen Woodward (Kyle), and many more loving family members.

Daniel Duane “Dan” Edwards, 70, of Grand Island, NE passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022.

Service and celebration of Dan’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at All Faiths Funeral Home, Grand Island.&nbsp; There will be a visitation from 1:00 until the time of the service.

Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Gypsum Hill Cemetery,&nbsp; Salina.

Dan was born June 23, 1951, at Ainsworth, NE, the son of Clifford and Beverly (Conrad) Edwards.&nbsp; His family moved many times during his childhood due to his father’s job in dam construction.&nbsp; He made his final move to Grand Island around 1975.

Due to Dan’s special needs, he was involved as a client with Mid-Nebraska Individual Services.&nbsp; He will be lovingly remembered as a happy individual.&nbsp; One of Dan’s highlights was attending Third City Christian Church, he loved the church and Pastor Scott.&nbsp; His enjoyments included country music, collecting cars and visits to McDonalds.&nbsp; He was a Husker fan and especially loved watching “Walker Texas Ranger” on TV.

Those who cherish his memory include his brother Clifford (Janice) Edwards of Salina; sisters Delia (Paul) DeMary of Central City, NE and Carol Hyman of Salina; nieces and nephews Sheri, Kim, Nicole, Paula, Paul Tracy, Kelley, Keri, Rebecca and Jason; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a great-great-nephew, Gabriel.

CULVER -&nbsp;Margaret Fuller, 74, passed away on April 14, 2022 surrounded by members of her family after a long illness.&nbsp; She was lovingly known to her family and friends as Maggie or by Grandma Maggie to the many young people beyond her own grandchildren that she welcomed into her home in Culver, Kansas over the years.

Maggie, born on June 29, 1947 to Walter and Bernice Matt of Minneapolis, Kansas, was always a farm girl at heart after spending her childhood on the family farm.&nbsp; Maggie graduated from Minneapolis High School in 1965. &nbsp;

Maggie worked at Salina Auto Auction for over 30 years.&nbsp; She enjoyed everything about working at the auction but Fridays, which were sale days, were her favorite.&nbsp; Laughing with her dealer buddies, working on a difficult car title problem or bringing together a last minute deal, Maggie was in her element when working at the auction.&nbsp; Enjoying a cold Keystone Light at the end of the day was a well-deserved reward!

In 1976, Maggie and Larry married and the two of them blended their families together to make one big family.&nbsp; Maggie and Larry raised their blended family in Culver. Living in a rural community allowed the family to raise numerous animals over the years including cattle, pigs, goats, chickens, ducks, geese and even a couple of turkeys.&nbsp; They also grew an enormous garden every year, giving away the vegetables that the family could not eat themselves

Maggie was preceded in death by her husband Larry and daughters Brenda and Sandra. 

She is survived by sons Larry E. Fuller and Jeff Brooks (Heather) and daughters Kim Ballantyne (Keith) and Kari Trow (Tom).&nbsp; She loved her grandchildren passionately and they loved her even more.&nbsp; Taud, James, Delynn, Ashley, Logan, Brooke, Hunter and Owen will miss her and especially her grandma dip that she made for every family holiday celebration.&nbsp; Numerous great-grandchildren will carry on the family traditions that Maggie started many years ago.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. with the family being available from 5:00-7:00 on Monday, April 18, 2022 at Ryan Mortuary.&nbsp;&nbsp; Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 19th at Ryan Mortuary.&nbsp; Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery, Glendale, Kansas.&nbsp;

Donald Max “Don” Heller, 91, of Salina, Kan., passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2022. He was born on August 26, 1930, in rural Almena, Kan., to Oscar and Osa (Boatman) Heller. He was baptized at St. George Episcopal Church, Kansas City, Mo. 

On November 8, 1953, Don and Carol Jean Kelly were united in marriage in Norton, Kan.

Don was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1950 and served in the Korean War. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and member of the American Legion for more than 60 years. 

Don was the owner/operator of Amark Printing in Salina form 1962-2017. He enjoyed dancing and was a member of the Lincoln Continental Car Club and Salina Antique Car Club.

Don is survived by his wife Carol; daughters Marlene Edwards (Dennis), Sundance, Wyo., Marilyn Rose (Paul), Palmetto, Fla., and Martha Smith, Salina; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and sisters Helen Maxine Archer-Bean and Betty Jean Pfeifer.

A private service and burial will be held at Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.

Jeffrey Lee Tanuis went home to his Lord and Saviour April 8, 2022. He was born Oct. 2, 1965, to Theodore and Barbara (Stoppel) Tanuis in Waterbury, Connecticut.

He moved at the age of three to Salina and graduated from Salina Central High School in 1983.

Jeff was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force serving for seven years in Maine and England before working at the United States Postal Service in Salina for 26 years. 

He was a minister and member at Peters Rock Ministries.

Jeff was meticulous in his work. His smile and sense of humor was contagious. He knew no strangers. Jeff loved to cook and shared his talent with his family and friends. He was an avid KU and Kansas City Royals fan.

He loved to exercise and joke with his Dillons friends, but most importantly, spend time with family and spoiling his grandchildren who were the apple of his eye.

He is survived by his loving wife Janet; daughters Mikaela Jacobs (Jake), and Tess Tanui; son Taylor Atwell (Alex); beloved grandchildren Aiden Pearson, Sophia Jacobs, Emma Atwell and Addison Atwell; mother Barbara Tanuis; brothers Ed (Geri) Ted, Roger and boys Doug (Tina); sister Laurie Davidson (Jim); and his special sunt Barbara Daugherty; and many nieces and nephews.

His is preceded in death by his father Theodore Tanuis.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022, 1:00 p.m. at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 E. Crawford St. Salina, Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son Brian Montague; and brothers Joe, David, and Ernie Stout.

Survivors are her husband of 48 years, Lee; son Tracy Montague and his wife Annie; daughter-in-law Melissa Montague; brothers Terry and Gary Stout; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.., Friday, April 22 at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis. Private graveside services will be held Saturday at the Delphos Cemetery.

Hillsboro - Jeraldine Klose, 87, passed away April 13, 2022 at Salem Home in Hillsboro. She was born December 30, 1934 southeast of Peabody to Edward and Freda (Dohner) Hess. 

She married Albert Klose May 29, 1952 in Peabody. 

Survivors include granddaughters Crystal Hicks Eason of Meade, Sunshine Hicks of Meade; grandson Josh Taylor of Larned; great-grandchildren JolleeAnn Hicks, Crissma Taylor, Tessa Eason.

Jeri has six other siblings, brothers Jim, Joe, and Don, sisters Mary, Florence (Tootsie), and the baby, Patsy L. Ann. 

Jeri attended Peabody High School and graduated in 1952. 

Jeri met Albert Klose on July 3, 1951, for a coffee in Marion, KS. In September, grandma worked a 12-hour shift at the Bax Car Café. She asked Al for a ride home; he was back Sunday afternoon, and the rest is history. 

On May 29th, 1952, Jeri married the love of her life, Albert “Al” Klose, in Peabody at the Methodist Parsonage by Rev D. Fry. The first home they shared was in Tampa, Kansas. 

The first bundle of joy, JoAnn Rose Klose Hicks was born on October 30, 1952. Grandma and Grandpa were very excited that their girl was the second baby born at St. Luke Hospital. 

The first Thanksgiving as a family of three, they were snowed in four days. They had planned on going to Peabody, so they did not shop. They had two potatoes, one-half loaf of bread, and four slices of bacon. Al and Lenard went out and fed the cattle and then shot a pheasant, for dinner. A half pumpkin pie was given to them, by Pearl. They did not make it to town, until the first Sunday in December. Pat, do you remember being put up on the refrigerator in our home in Tampa? Florence, how long has it been since you rode in a truck hauling wheat during harvest?

A few years later the second bundle of joy, Duane Ray Klose, was born on 9/28/1955, at St. Luke Hospital Marion, KS. On November 1, 1955, the family of four moved to Florence, Kansas to work for John DeForest. It was a very bitter cold day, and before they could get everything moved in, it began to snow. The only room in the house they could keep warm was the bathroom.

Jeri and Al, settled in Hillsboro, Kansas, buying their first home in 1957.

 Beginning in May, Al drove a truck for the Milk Producers, Inc. This is the first time Duane got lost. JoAnn, Duane, and the neighbor kid walked the block and half to the grocery store and Duane followed a dog and the girls walked on home. I could continue to record the wonderful stories that grandma has scripted but we will move on to her involvements.

Jeri was a very hard and dedicated worker and volunteer. She worked as a waitress, EMT, and Sunday school teacher. Her career was making people’s dreams come true as a real estate agent. Even her eldest granddaughter, Crystal, was helped to buy her first home. 

Jeri loved to volunteer and was a life member of the VFW Legion Auxiliary 526. Any activity that the Legion has put on Grandma was in the trenches making it happen. 

Her other passion is the Zion Lutheran Church. Her faith was impeccable as well as the influence of faith on anyone she encountered. Jeri had a vision, and that dream came true when the addition to the Zion Lutheran church was completed including a new kitchen. She desperately wanted to be in charge there.

Jeri became a grandma on May 23, 1974. Her daughter JoAnn and husband Earl gave birth to Crystal Marie Hicks. Her son Duane had a son, Joshua Taylor, on 2/14/1975, born at St. Luke Hospital in Marion, KS. The third grandchild, Sunshine Francis Hicks, was born on 7/31/1980 at St. Luke Hospital, to Earl and JoAnn.

Grandma had quite that adventurous side to her. She enjoyed telling stories about riding motorcycles and racing them. She would take off with a group and go to OK for the weekend and let the wild side ring. She never told us about her riding a motorcycle enjoyment until she moved into Salem. We like to give Grandma flack, that we knew we all got our wild and adventurous side from her.

Jeri’s faith was indescribable as she lost her son, Duane, to ascending aorta aneurysm, on January 13, 2005. She then lost her daughter to colon cancer on June 23, 2005.

Albert and Jeri spent their time playing cards, gambling, and playing bingo. Boy, they loved to play bingo. 

Then came along the start of great-grandkids. On August 13, 2010, came JoleeAnn Rose, daughter of Sunshine Hicks. Grandma could not wait to get her hands on the baby girl. When Sunshine came to, the first person she saw was Grandma. Grandma and Grandpa could not get enough of the great-grands. Then came Carisma, Duane, granddaughter Tessa JoAnn Eason was born on June 6, 2013, to Robert and Crystal Eason. 

On November 8, 2014, Jeri lost the love of her life, Al, to prostate, bladder, and lung cancer. 

Grandma devoted her time to supporting VA veterans, the church, the Legion, the American Cancer Society, and traveling the states with her sisters, and Aunt Lavaughn. Grandma would travel out and spend time with Crystal, Sunshine, Joey, and Tessa. Some of the most amazing memories were made at the park, in the kitchen, and around the dining room table.

In April of 2018, Jeri moved into Salem Home after a fall and hip fracture. She thrived in that environment. She was the social butterfly of the facility. She would lead residents in exercise groups, bible studies, and stamp collections, and of course, she played bingo. She collected games and activities to do with Joey and Tessa. The staff at Salem became her other family. She would just rave about the care, the whirlpools, and the activities. “I could not be treated better anywhere by anyone.” The sisters and “her girls” would visit as much as we could. Grandma had the red carpet rolled out for her with exceptional treatment up to the time she joined her heavenly father, her love, and her children. 

Jeraldine passed peacefully, on April 13, 2022, at Salem Home in Hillsboro, Kansas. Hillsboro - James Dale Hadley, 74, passed away April 9, 2022 at his residence. He was born on March 14, 1948, the youngest child of Dale and Gwendola (Conrad) Hadley. 

When Jim was in the second grade, the family moved to Manhattan. He attended Manhattan schools and graduated in 1966. Soon after graduation, he moved to Hillsboro with his family and worked at Paul and Ray's Supermarket before moving to Topeka, where he worked in the supply room at Stormont Vail Hospital.

There in Topeka, he met and married Diana Kistner on October 11, 1970. To this union they were blessed with two daughters, Tami and Laurie. In 1972, Jim and Diana moved back to Hillsboro and Jim worked at Hillsboro Ford for 42 years. He was always a Ford man. Jim was a very kind and caring man, and his family was always his main priority and love. He is preceded in death by his mother and father.

Survivors include his wife Diana, of 51 years, daughters Tami Hadley of Newton and Laurie Morales-Diaz (Mike) of Manhattan, two granddaughters, Ianni and Aiyanna Morales-Diaz of Manhattan, brother Pearl Hadley (Velma) of Hillsboro, sister Joyce Steele of Moscow, Idaho, sister-in-law Trudy Bowen (Charley) of Rogersville, Missouri and many nieces and nephews.
