Fern L. Reimer, 94, passed away on October 11, 2022 at Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community, Buhler. She was born March 1, 1928 in Halstead, KS, the daughter of Peter M. and Justina R. (Dick) Esau.

Fern was a 1946 graduate of Hutchinson High School.

She was a homemaker and an active member of Buhler MB Church and Buhler EHU.

She enjoyed music, whether it was playing the piano, singing in the church choir or playing the string bass in high school. Her favorite pastimes were playing table games, bowling, watching game shows and sports on TV, and keeping a daily diary.

Fern helped Marvin in the family business and also did part-time work and volunteering. Family was very important to her.

Fern was united in marriage to Marvin L. Reimer on October 29, 1946 at Buhler.

Survivors include children Bruce (Kathy) Reimer of Shakopee, MN and Jane (Mark) Jost of Henderson, NE; three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and brothers Ron (Connie) Esau of Santa Cruz, CA, and Frank (Monica) Esau of San Jose, CA.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, October 16, 2022 at Buhler Mortuary. Graveside Service will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 17, 2022 at Buhler Municipal Cemetery. The graveside service will be livestreamed through the Buhler MB Facebook page.
