Faith Ella Dickerson

Faith Ella Witt Todd Dickerson, age 95, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, October 9, 2022 at Clark Regional Medical Center.

Faith was born on April 25, 1927 in Irvine, Kentucky, to C.G. “Bill” and Bertha Sparks Witt. After the death of her mother in 1928, she spent her early years in Irvine, under the care of her father and numerous family members. She married John M. Todd in 1943 and moved to Bybee. After his passing in 1957, she went to work in the cafeteria at Waco Elementary School, where she worked until 1968. In 1968, Faith married James Dickerson, and moved to Salvisa where they operated Dickerson’s General Merchandise. After retirement, they moved to Mt. Sterling where he passed in 1993 and she remained until her death.

Faith is survived by her daughter Donna NeSmith; Grandsons: Todd (& Jennifer) NeSmith and Tommy Ford; Great-Grandchildren: Sara and Alex NeSmith; Nieces: Betty Ann Smith of Salina, Kansas, and Wilma Jo Newport, of Melbourne, Florida, and other extended family.

In addition to her parents and both husbands, Faith was preceded in death by her daughter Linda Ford, Son-In-Law Jim NeSmith, Sister Thelma Winburn, Stepdaughter Barbara Click, and Step-Grandchildren Michael Click and Sherry Sheperson.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 13, 2022, at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Marjorie Lehman and Sara Webster officiating. Burial will follow in the Flatwoods Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Joel Crawford, Alex NeSmith, Todd NeSmith, Tim Rose, Bryce Stallings and Andrew Taylor.
