Glenna Rae Premer (White) passed away on the morning of November 6, 2021. She was being treated for leukemia at the University of Kansas Medical Center and passed away suddenly. She was 68 years old. Glenna was born on September 2, 1953 in Sayre, Oklahoma, the daughter of Clarence W. and Ruth Susie (Cooper) White. Her family moved to Guthrie and then to Perry, Oklahoma where she graduated from Perry High School.

Glenna married LeWayne Arden Premer on April 30, 1976. LeWayne brought two children, Roni and Randy, to the marriage. Later, Glenna and LeWayne added two more children, Ann and Ryan, to their family. 

The family settled in McPherson, Kansas where her husband and his brothers would own and operate Sirloin Stockades and later Montana Mikes across Kansas, Oklahoma, and Arizona. They also had the Best Western Holiday Manor in McPherson, Kansas, which LeWayne’s parents, Lester and Grace, had owned and operated. Glenna raised their children and supported her husband and their business. She was a vivacious, doting mom who deeply loved her children and provided heaps of encouragement. After her husband passed away and her children had graduated from college, Glenna moved to Lawrence where she has lived the past 17 years. Glenna fell in love with Lawrence after spending so much time there while her daughter was at the University of Kansas. She loved being a part of the community and had dear friends in her neighborhood. She was known to all in the Westwood Hills neighborhood where she was seen daily with a smile walking her beloved dogs, “the girls” Isabel and Lilli. In 2017, her daughter, Ann, and her family returned to Lawrence and moved to the same neighborhood as Glenna. Glenna “Nonna” became a fixture for her granddaughters, Mia and Libby, and was there for countless basketball games, soccer games, ballet recitals, piano recitals, birthdays, holidays, movies, dinners, swimming at the neighborhood pool, baking lots of cookies and just hugs. In McPherson, Glenna worked as a reporter at the McPherson Sentinel. Later, she worked as a court-certified mediator. She was the first coordinator of the small claims mediation project in the McPherson District Court from 2002 to 2004. She received mediation certificates from Bethel College and was certified by the Kansas Supreme Court. She started the Mediation Resource Center, Inc., a non-profit in Douglas County in 2007. In 2008, the Heartland Mediators Association presented her with the Margaret “Peg” Nichols Volunteer of the Year Award for distinguished service and commitment in the practice of conflict resolution. Glenna is survived by her daughter, Ann Premer and husband Rich Federico and their daughters Emilia “Mia” Premer Federico and Elizabeth “Libby” Premer Federico, all of Lawrence. She is also survived by her children and family through LeWayne, daughter, Roni Hernandez of Albuquerque (husband, Michael), son, Randy Premer of McPherson, grandson Aaron Premer (wife, Makenzie Premer), granddaughters, Jessica Larson (husband, Eric Larson), Melissa Gibbons (husband, Michael Gibbons), Michaela Hernandez, and great-granddaughters, Reghan and Gentry Premer, and Maya and Ella Larson, other family and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, son Ryan, parents Clarence and Ruth White, and her three brothers Clarence Richard, Gene, and Gary White. Glenna is deeply missed by her family and friends who will hold on tightly to the love and grace she gave them. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2021 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Glidden - Ediger Chapel, McPherson. David Bradley Nelson, son of Norris William and Helen Leighty Nelson, was born October 20, 1941, in Lincoln, Nebraska. He passed away at his home in Topeka, Kansas on November 4, 2021, at the age of 80 years and 15 days. David was confirmed in the Evangelical Covenant Church in McPherson, Kansas in 1953. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior that year at Camp Washunga. David was later baptized at First Baptist Church of McPherson. For more than two decades, he was a member of Northland Christian Church in Topeka, Kansas where he loved singing in the choir. Often on Palm Sunday, he would sing Handel’s Messiah with a special choir at Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas. He was united in marriage to Patricia (Patty) Louise Noller on October 7, 1960, in the Danforth Chapel on the Kansas State University campus located in Manhattan, Kansas

During college, David lettered in golf and won many tournaments playing for the K-State Golf Team. 

After college, they began their new life in Dodge City, Kansas where David was an accountant. 

To his marriage with Patty, five sons were eventually born: Bradley Allen, Montgomery Paul, Spencer Douglas, Justin Miles, and Chandler John. Later, they relocated to McPherson, Kansas to settle down and raise their boys. He was also the owner of Continental Aluminum Inc. from 1965 – 1978. David also became a real estate broker, an accountant with various manufacturing companies, a credit manager and finally a senior accountant with the city of Topeka, Kansas, retiring in 2006. 

After retirement, he and his wife, Patty, enjoyed touring the southern states where it was warm, playing golf and hitting the casinos. David loved ALL outside sports, especially those where Patty and their sons could participate. He was an avid upland and big game hunter. In the fall, he could be found hunting pheasants, quail, ducks. Special times were “The Big Hunt” along the Kansas/Nebraska state line at Thanksgiving, the deer hunting at Monte’s, crappie fishing at Lake Perry in the spring, and wading the Smokey and Little Blue Rivers for catfish during the summer. He also cherished the many golf scrambles with his wife, Patty, and sons. Each event included the family as much as possible. Other special times included teaching his grandsons Jordan and Levi how to hunt and fish. David was an entrepreneur and businessman, teaching his family the importance of finances throughout his life. He is survived by: his wife Patricia of Topeka, Kansas; his four sons, Montgomery Paul of Marquette, Kansas, Spencer Douglas of Kansas City, Missouri, Justin Miles of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Chandler John of Marquette, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his first-born son Bradley Allen Nelson in 2016.

Carle Frederick Kuhn was born on November 22, 1950 in Beloit, Kansas, the son of Frederick and Lola&nbsp;Pargett&nbsp;Kuhn. He died suddenly on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at his home in Beloit at the age of 70.

He grew up and attended schools in Cawker City, where he graduated from Cawker City High School in 1968. He went on to attend Ft. Hays State University, where he lettered in tennis and earned his bachelor’s degree in physical education, and later his master’s degree in secondary&nbsp;administration.

On May 13, 1972, he was united in marriage with Carol Quillin at the Osborne United Methodist Church.

Carle taught at Concordia for five years before returning to Beloit, where he taught and coached track and cross country for many years. He devoted a lot of his time to his sports teams in addition to the Junior Olympics, and took great pride in the annual Beloit Relays, which is considered one of the&nbsp;premier&nbsp;track&nbsp;meets in the state of Kansas.&nbsp;Carle was also in the process of writing a book about the history of the Beloit Relays&nbsp;– a project the family hopes to complete for him.&nbsp;He also loved taking his teams to state Track, and also served on the rules committee for many years.

Carle&nbsp;was able to achieve a life-long goal of obtaining his pilot’s license and owning his own plane.&nbsp;Following his retirement from teaching, he went back to school at KSU-Salina&nbsp;for two years, in a different field,&nbsp;to take&nbsp;an A&amp;P (Airframe and Power Plant) course as a certified small airplane mechanic, and also ended up teaching some of the classes. He also enjoyed working at the Beloit Airport for many years.

He also enjoyed traveling with Carol, and they were able to experience trips to the Olympic Games in both Los Angeles and Atlanta, and the Olympic Trials in Sacramento, watching two of his previous local athletes. They also&nbsp;took an enjoyable trip to Alaska, and had always wanted to return.

Carle was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife Carol; two brothers, Tim and his wife Faye of Pratt, and Tom and his wife Cathy of Prairie Village; his brother-in-law Mike Quillin and his wife Candice of DeSoto; and a host of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, November 12 at the Cawker City United Methodist Church. The family suggests casual dress. Visitation will be from 1-7 p.m. with family present from 5-6:30 p.m. Thursday, November 11 at the funeral home. 

Memorials may be given to the Beloit High School Booster Club.

Kathryn Clarissa Houlton, age 88, died Nov 6, 2021. She was born in Abilene on June 24, 1933 to Earl V &amp; Helen (Picking) Martsolf, the youngest of seven children. 

Her schooling was at Central Buckeye Grade School, Abilene Junior High and High Schools graduating in 1951.

 August 31, 1952 she married Kenneth E Houlton at Abilene EUB Church, where they were lifelong members. 

She worked for 22 years with USD 435 cooking at Garfield and Abilene Middle School cafeterias, retiring in 1995. 

Kathryn and Kenneth were married almost 61 years before his death on June 2, 2013. Their son Duane died October 7, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters (Elaine Hettenbach of Abilene). 

Kathryn is survived by three daughters: Patricia (Jim) Lollar, Fresno, CA; Cecilia (Bob) Rogers; Beverly (Walter) Stultz; daughter-in-law Cheryl Houlton, all of Abilene; six grandchildren Clifton (Stacey) Lollar, Karen (Jeff) Depew, Dennis Barlow, Christopher (Kate) Barlow, Shelly Bogart &amp; Ethan Houlton (fiancé Taylor Hutchinson); nine great-grandchildren: Zachary Lollar, Aden and Colby Melton, Maddy Carpentier, Brodyn and Emma Barlow; Clarissa Bogart, Delaney and Brooks Barlow: one surviving sister, Marilyn Knopp, Newton, KS; three sister-in-laws: Janice Kleinsorge, Nancy Womochil and Linda Houlton; several nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Kenneth (Kenny) Arthur Strauss passed away suddenly on November 5, 2021. He was born on January 6, 1943 to Felix and Kathleen Strauss at home in Chapman Kansas, later joined by sister Sue (Feeney). 

At a young age his family bought a farm south of Abilene, Kansas were he grew up. Kenny attended Farmington one-room school house through the 8th grade and graduated from Dickinson County Community High School in 1960. 

Kenny married Donna Lee Taylor on September 2, 1962. This union was blessed with the birth of Doran, Laurie and Deon. Kenny and Donna lived with their children in Topeka for five years before moving back to Abilene. They purchased a home in the country where they raised their children and was living at the time of his death. Kenny was an electrician for ADM Milling and Solomon Corporation for many years. After retiring his love for farming kept him busy helping family and friends. Kenny was an all around “Jack of all Trades” that was just a phone call away. Family was important to Kenny. He shared his love of hunting and fishing with his children, grandkids and great-grandchildren. He traveled several states on his motorcycle with his wife and close friends. A few years ago Kenny and Donna purchased a motorhome. Two winters were spent in Texas with his brother-in-law and wife enjoying the warm weather. Kenny enjoyed dancing the two-step with his wife, daughter, daughter-in- law, and granddaughters. Kenny was a 41 year member of the Elks Club in Abilene, Kansas. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Kenny is survived by his wife of 59 years, Donna, son Doran (Becky) Abilene, daughter Laurie (Blain) Veal Abilene, son Deon Abilene, grandchildren Jeremy (Robin) Strauss, Alicia (Seth) Schultz, Ben (Desi) Gilliland, Courtney (Telea) Strauss, Taelor (Shawn) Herrman, Bridgette (Nathan) Wuthnow, Seth (Amber) Strauss, Felix (Natalie), Bode, and 15 great-grandchildren and sister Sue Feeney of Abilene.

In 1951 she married John Humbargar and they had six children: daughters Linda Draper, Connie Lyon, Teri Humbargar, and Jackie Sharp (all of Salina) and sons Michael John Humbargar (Hays) and Patrick James Humbargar (deceased.)

Kathleen married Joe Cassell in 1975 and worked until retirement at Waddles Heating and Cooling. Kathleen and Joe shared stepdaughters Joann and Vickie and their extended families.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Patrick James, husband Joe Cassell, and two sisters. &nbsp; Kathleen is survived by the children listed as well as five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and three siblings. &nbsp; Cremation was chosen. Inurnment will take place at a later date.

Carla May Gustin, age 74, died unexpectedly, but peacefully, at home on Wednesday, November 4, 2021. Carla was born in Salina, KS on October, 7, 1947, to Rosa and Clyde Turner, where she spent most of her life. She was married to Fred Gustin for 47 years. They had two daughters and a son.

After graduating from Central High School, Carla attended cosmetology school. In addition, Carla worked for USD 305 in food service for 37 years. Carla looked forward to seeing the children every day, and she made lifelong friends while working for the district.

A loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother, Carla always put family first. She was a selfless caregiver to all. Her interests included spending quality time with family and friends. She loved to travel and was a New Yorker at heart. She touched many lives with her generosity and passion for life.

Carla is preceded in death by her father, Clyde Turner and her husband, Fred Gustin. 

Survivors include: mother Rosa Turner, sister Nadine Webster and husband Melvin, brother Danny and wife Judy, daughter Missy Lechtenberger and husband Darius, daughter Teresa Barnes and husband Jon, and son Travis Gustin. Carla has five grandchildren including Gus and Cal Lechtenberger, and Dylan, Chloe and Carson Barnes.

Services will be held Saturday, November 13, at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Salina at 11 a.m. with a rosary at 10:30 a.m.

He was born October 8, 1962 in Omaha, NE, to Al Brungardt (deceased) and Marilyn (Brungardt) Bishop.&nbsp; 

Dean moved to McPherson, Kansas in 1990 and worked as an electrical lineman for the Board of Public Utilities for 31 years. He had numerous interests including dirt track racing (most recently at 81 Speedway near Wichita), bowling, boating, motorcycle riding and golfing.

He is survived by his mother Marilyn Bishop of Salina, brother Darin Brungardt of Wichita, and sister Denise Clayton and brother-in-law Steve of Moundridge; and nephews Chris and Alex.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, November 12, at Ryan Mortuary.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 13, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with Fr. Kevin Weber as celebrant. Rosary will begin at 10:10 a.m. Burial will follow at Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.

Sally Ann Olson&nbsp;entered paradise on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at the age of 68. She was born July 1st, 1953 to parents Charles Orton Shrader and Mary Jane (Shaw) Shrader in Abilene, KS at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital. 

She graduated from Chapman High School (class of 71') and attended beauty school in Salina, KS becoming a cosmetologist by trade afterward. 

She married her husband, Douglas James Olson on July 1st, 1978 at the First United Methodist Church of Abilene, KS. They had two children and laid down roots in Salina, KS for over 40 years. 

Always a hard worker, she assisted with daily operations of the family gift shop, Carol's Decor, and later an antique store, Sally's Antiques, on top of raising two children. Sally also was a very involved member of her church, Immanuel Lutheran. She served as a Sunday school teacher and at vacation Bible school frequently.

Sally will be remembered as a loving, kind, loyal, and joyful soul. She was an incredible wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. 

She was preceded in death by her father and mother Charles and Mary Jane of Abilene, KS, and fathers- and mothers-in-law Alfred and Carol Olson of Salina, KS. 

Sally is survived by her husband Douglas of Salina, KS, two sons and daughter in-law, Russell of Salina, KS, Matthew, and Hannah of Fayetteville, AR, stepmother Bonnie Shrader of Abilene, KS her brothers and sister, Chuck of Abilene, KS, Bob of Houston, TX, and Benjamin Shrader of Salina, KS and Susie Wayman of Industry, KS and brother and sister-in law Dean and Carol Olson of Lee’s Summit, MO.

A memorial service will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 255 S. 7th Street, Salina, KS 67401, on Saturday, November 13 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Nancy Mitchell officiating.

Dale L. “Duster” Hoffman, 71, official Walmart greeter of the Minneapolis Casey’s, died suddenly on Sunday, November 7, 2021, at his home in Minneapolis.

Dale was born in Ellsworth on November 2, 1950, to Don and Donna (Priddy) Hoffman. He moved to Minneapolis in 1963 and was a graduate of Minneapolis High School in 1968. He graduated from Salina Vo-Tech with a diesel mechanic degree. Dale then worked for the Ottawa County Highway Department for over 30 years.

An avid fisherman, Dale also broke horses and loved helping at the Longford Rodeo. He also enjoyed helping his nephews with bull riding.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Lori Jean Hoffman.

Survivors are his best friend and former wife, Jana Hoffman of Minneapolis; three daughters, Victoria Venzor Walters of Concordia, Dorian Venzor Bryson and her husband, Tyler of Abilene; and Alicia Brown Doering and her husband, Jason of Wells; two sisters, Janis Krein of Kanopolis and LeAnn Hauck of Minneapolis; ten grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and numerous friends.

Dale’s kind smile, laughter, and presence will be missed by all who loved visiting with him in the parking lot of Casey’s.

Edward J. Werth, age 93, of Park, Kansas, passed away November 6, 2021, at Gove County Medical Center in Quinter, Kansas. He was born January 30, 1928, to Thomas and Bertha (Kreutzer) Werth. Edward was united in marriage to the love of his life, Cordula Ritter, on May 4, 1948, in Leoville, Kansas. They were married for 73 and a half years. What a great example and something to be proud of. 

To this union were born nine children, eight of whom survive Edward. Elaine (LaVern) Schneider of Albert, Kansas, Kathleen (Bob) Reinert of Salina, Kansas, Evelyn Whitaker of Moberly, Missouri, Janette (Tom) Walters of Emporia, Kansas, James (Jeanne) Werth of Pueblo West, Colorado, Janice (Lance) Koland of Newton, Kansas, David (Lori) Werth of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and Karla (Chris) Hecker of Hays, Kansas. He also leaves to mourn four sisters and one brother: Celestina (Dale) Moran, Mary Kerns, Bertha Haas, Caroline (Don) Witte, and John Werth; sister-in-law Elaine Werth; 29 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Edward was a farmer and stockman who raised registered Hereford cattle and was a member of both the American and Kansas Hereford Associations. He was also a member of the Kansas Farmer’s Union and the Knights of Columbus. Upon retirement, he spent many hours a day working on woodworking projects, which he sold at craft shows and enjoyed gifting to his children.

One of Edward’s greatest joys, and something he looked forward to every day, was getting in his wheelchair and going outside for a cigar. If he could, he would try to convince you that he hadn’t already had one, to go get another one.

Edward was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Harvey; his parents; granddaughter Emily Werth; great-grandson Joshua Drew; brothers Jerome, George, Julian, and Lawrence; sisters Bertha (in infancy), Virginia Knoll, and Germaine Werth; brothers-in-law Paul Kisslinger, Andy Knoll, and Bill Kerns; sisters-in-law Lee Werth, Rosemary Werth, and Cecilia Werth.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at Schmitt Funeral Home, Quinter, with rosary to follow.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 AM Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Park, with Father James Thomas as celebrant. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Dale Alvin Knopf was born April 2, 1948, in Cherokee, Oklahoma to Samuel and Bernice Knopf. 

Dale left this world to be in the arms of his savior on Nov. 4, 2021. He was surrounded by his loving family.

Dale was the most loving and caring person – unafraid to fight for those who are unable to fight for themselves. How do you put into such few words the impact one person has made on this world?

He lived and shared his faith with everyone. His example has led to all of his children and grandchildren learning about Christ and how His love was shown through Dale. He recently had the opportunity to celebrate the baptism of two of his grandchildren and rejoice in their love for Christ. We now rejoice because he has been welcomed home as a good and faithful servant.

Dale met his loving wife Cherie while he was cruising Fe. It took only one glance and he knew he would be with her for the rest of his life. It took a little longer for him to convince her. Of course, they still had to graduate high school. They both went to different high schools (Salina High School and Sacred Heart). Cherie was always getting in trouble for Dale’s antics. He would rev his car and do doughnuts in the school parking lot and show up for games and sit too close to her. Dale struggled with actually making it to class – yet he managed to graduate with high grades. He had a great homework “support group” that allowed him to play hooky and go sit in Cherie’s school parking lot. He was guilty of many pranks during this time including moving the principal’s car to the roof by carrying it up the stairs. He was accused of many others that he was actually innocent of but would have happily helped out with. 

They were married April 7, 1969, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and recently celebrated their 52nd anniversary.

Dale enlisted in the Army Reserves after high school. This was at the height of the Vietnam War. While he was never deployed to Vietnam, he lost many friends. He spent his time at “Ft. Lost in the Woods.” Dad left the military with the rank of E-7 and the reputation of always standing up for his men. He also loved to boast that he was the only one asked not to re-enlist because he was not afraid to stand up for what was right.

Dale and Cherie married in 1969 – much to the surprise of the priest. Dale, in his typical fashion, found someone willing to attend the premarital classes. He showed up for the wedding and the priest was not sure who he was. Dale always knew how to utilize his resources!

Life was not always perfect, but Dale never lost his faith in God. He never once gave up on his children, no matter how many mistakes we made. Instead, he rejoiced with us when we returned to God. 

He has five loving children who miss him so much it is hard to breathe – Nathan and Miranda Knopf, Sarah and Greg McMillen, Jonathan and Jenna Knopf, Scott and Lola Cowan, and Amber and Burt Love. His grandchildren were blessed to have such an amazing Godly example: Isaac, Charlie Rae, Harvey, Sammie, Alex, Katrina, Ethan, Josh, Landon, Liam, Ellie, Ben, Elianna, Lilli, Danny, and Isla. And many more loved ones consider him dad and Papa. His legacy will know no limits and he will live on through all of us.

Dale worked for UPS, first as a delivery driver in 1973 and then as a feeder driver. He retired from UPS in 2010, immediately began growing his beard and never wore brown again. Everyone he worked with became family and we grew up knowing them as more than “just co-workers”. He was very proud of his beard, even when Cherie would “accidentally” trim more than he wanted.

Dale began his new career post-retirement of full-time Papa and Santa. He always looked forward to being able to spread joy and presents as Santa to not only his family but also throughout the community. This Christmas there will be a void that no one will be able to fill.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Nov. 12, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Emmanuel Foursquare Church in Salina with burial to follow at Mt. Pleasant. Visitation will be held Nov. 11 from 5-7 p.m. at Emmanuel Foursquare Church. Please dress comfortably!

He also loved to boast that he was the only one asked not to re-enlist because he was not afraid to stand up for what was right. Dale and Cherie married in 1969 – much to the surprise of the priest. Dale, in his typical fashion, found someone willing to attend the premarital classes. He showed up for the wedding and the priest was not sure who he was. Dale always knew how to utilize his resources!Life was not always perfect, but Dale never lost his faith in God. He never once gave up on his children, no matter how many mistakes we made. Instead, he rejoiced with us when we returned to God. He has five loving children who miss him so much it is hard to breathe – Nathan and Miranda Knopf, Sarah and Greg McMillen, Jonathan and Jenna Knopf, Scott and Lola Cowan, and Amber and Burt Love. His grandchildren were blessed to have such an amazing Godly example: Isaac, Charlie Rae, Harvey, Sammie, Alex, Katrina, Ethan, Josh, Landon, Liam, Ellie, Ben, Elianna, Lilli, Danny, and Isla. And many more loved ones consider him dad and Papa. His legacy will know no limits and he will live on through all of us.Dale worked for UPS, first as a delivery driver in 1973 and then as a feeder driver. He retired from UPS in 2010, immediately began growing his beard and never wore brown again. Everyone he worked with became family and we grew up knowing them as more than “just co-workers”. He was very proud of his beard, even when Cherie would “accidentally” trim more than he wanted.Dale began his new career post-retirement of full-time Papa and Santa. He always looked forward to being able to spread joy and presents as Santa to not only his family but also throughout the community. This Christmas there will be a void that no one will be able to fill.A Celebration of Life will be held on Nov. 12, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Emmanuel Foursquare Church in Salina with burial to follow at Mt. Bob was born in Hutchinson, Kansas on April 30, 1933, a son of the late Evaline (Peterson) and Russel Lindell Geiman. Bob attended Windom Grade School, and graduated from Windom High School, Windom, Kansas in 1951. He then attended Hutchinson Community College, Hutchinson, Kansas, Wichita University, Wichita, Kansas and graduated from McPherson College, McPherson, Kansas. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, McPherson, Kansas. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Bob L. Geiman was united in marriage to Carolyn D. Peden on June 3, 1956 at the First Baptist Church, McPherson, Kansas. The young couple established their first home together in McPherson. This union was blessed with the birth of Kathy, Kent, and Kim. Through the years Bob worked as a high school teacher and assistant football coach and basketball coach at Marquette and Lucas, Kansas, was owner and operator along with his wife Carolyn of the White Swan, worked for Sierra Homes in the office, was a claims adjuster for Farmers Alliance Insurance Company and State Farm Insurance, and a loan officer for the State Bank of Canton, from which he retired. Bob was a member of the American Legion Post 24. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, raising horses, vacationing in Colorado, watching all sports, especially football and basketball, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of over 65 years, Carolyn Geiman, of McPherson, Kansas; his children Kathy Smith and husband Harold, of McPherson, Kansas, Kent Geiman and wife Delores of Houston, Texas, and Kim Morris and husband Ted, of McPherson, Kansas; his seven grandchildren, Brad Smith and wife Jenny, Kristen Naves and husband Joseph, Nicholas Geiman and wife Alicia, Nathan Geiman and wife Sarah, Megan Bogener and husband James, Stephanie Dunn, and Danielle Reilley and husband Jeff; his nine great-grandchildren, Donovan, Breck, Blain, Brody, Ava, Aiden, Finley, Ellis, and Kensley. Marland J. Kralik, 85, passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2021, in Ellsworth. He was born August 21, 1936, in Ellsworth County to Winslow and Emma (Galliart) Kralik.

Marland was a lifetime resident of Ellsworth County where he was a truck foreman for the county highway department. On his days off, he would work at Homolka Grain &amp; Supply. He served in the United States Army and was a member of the Ellsworth American Legion Post 174. 

Marland married Lenore Kay Foos in Ellsworth on August 23, 1963.

Marland is survived by his sons Kevin and Brad Kralik of Ellsworth; sister Delores Ploutz of Garden Grove, CA; and many nieces and nephews. 

 He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Lenore; and brothers Melvin, Raymond, and Harold Kralik.

Visitation: 4-8 p.m. Sunday, November 7, 2021, with family present 6-8 p.m. at Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth.

Chér graduated from Concordia High School in 1985 and then Cloud County Community College in 1987.&nbsp; 

She worked eight years in Carrollton, Texas while living with her aunt Debra Coker. 

Chér was married to Rick Knudsen from 2005 to 2020 and made their home in Concordia.&nbsp; 

Cher worked as the office manager for Womack Sunshine Ford and currently the assistant bookstore manager and production room specialist at Cloud County Community College.

Chér’s hobbies included reading, crafts and coloring, trips to the casino, cruises, shopping, traveling, and Sunday brunch at the St. Joe Store, and most of all spending time with her family and friends, and her best friend Bristol.

She was a member of the St. Peter Catholic Church, and St. Anne’s Altar Society.

She is survived by her parents Dick and Jane Boling, Aurora; sister Dawn Snyder (Steve), Concordia; brother Alan Boling (Micaela), Omaha, NE; grandmother Jeanne Boling, Valley Falls, KS; host of aunts and uncles, several nieces and nephews and many family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Frank and Lorena Brunell and Ferdinand “Bud” Boling, her aunts Debra Coker, Anita Brunell Colbert, Patricia Letourneau, and a host of other family members.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 7, 2021 from 1-4 p.m. at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia, Kansas. A rosary will be prayed on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at the St. Peter Catholic Church in Aurora, Kansas.&nbsp; Family will greet friends after the rosary service.
