Vivian Louise (Heller) Sackhoff was born on April 1, 1936, on a farm near Hunter, Kansas, to Walter and Lydia (Little) Heller.&nbsp; She passed away on July 16, 2022, in Conway, Arkansas surrounded by family members.&nbsp; She had one sister, Maxine Strawn.&nbsp;

She spent most of her life on a farm that her grandparents homesteaded, where her parents lived as she grew up, then where she and Don made their home. 

She married her high school sweetheart, Don Sackhoff, on July 20, 1958.&nbsp; They enjoyed many bus trips and camping by the Arkansas river.&nbsp; They were together for 48 years until Don passed away in 2006.&nbsp; They had four children, Richard (Holly) Sackhoff of Wichita, Tamara (Steven) McMillan of Conway, Jeff (Annette) Sackhoff of Conway and Debra (Rick) McLay of Topeka.&nbsp; Family was very important, and she loved spending time with all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.&nbsp;

Vivian graduated from Hunter High School in 1954 and attended Kansas State and Kansas State Teachers College.&nbsp; 

She then taught in Abilene, where the Eisenhower Information Center sits now, from 1956 to 1957.&nbsp; She was one of the first teachers to move into the new Hunter Elementary School in 1957, where she taught first grade until she and Don started their family.&nbsp; Once all her children were in school, she managed the Hunter Café for several years, worked at JCPenney, Mill Street Emporium and retired after ten years at the Farmway Credit Union in Beloit. &nbsp;After retirement she moved to Wichita and enjoyed spending time with her family, neighbors, and volunteering at the Klothes Kloset.

She was a member of Grace Chapel United Methodist Church in Hunter where she held offices in both UMW and UMC.&nbsp; She also became a member of the Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Wichita.&nbsp; She was the Hunter Alumni Secretary for 36 years from 1973-2009.

Vivian was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, neighbor, and friend.&nbsp; &nbsp;She has known simply as “Mom” by many of them. &nbsp;&nbsp;

Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, sister, and husband.&nbsp; 

She is survived by her four children, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, four foster great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 23 at the Grace Chapel United Methodist Church in Hunter followed by burial in Greenwood Union Cemetery. There will be no visitation, and the casket will remain closed. 

Memorials may be given to the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance.

Carol Ann (LaForest) Wagner, 66, of McPherson, KS, passed away peacefully to heaven and into the arms of her lord and savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, surrounded by family at Hospice House, Hutchinson, KS.

She was born July 23, 1955, in North Adams, MA, the daughter of Helen (Bourdon) and Herman LaForest.&nbsp; Following high school, Carol attended nursing school at Albany Medical Center.&nbsp; She was a registered nurse at McPherson Memorial Hospital for over 30 years.

On April 30, 1977, she married the love of her life, Donald E. Wagner, in North Adams, MA, and was blessed with three children, Donielle, Eric, and Jessica.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Donald; three children, Donielle (Mikel) Andreas of Galva, KS, Eric (Carrie) Wagner of McPherson, KS, and Jessica (Tyler) Rindels of Kansas City, MO; six grandchildren, William, Ethan, Chase, Eli, Audrey, and Remington; four siblings, Bob LaForest, Dan LaForest, Paul LaForest, and Teresa McLain; and many extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Herman and Helen LaForest, and siblings, William LaForest and Susan LaForest.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 22, 2022, at Stockham Family Funeral Home.&nbsp; A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 Aa.m., Saturday, July 23, at First United Methodist Church with Rev. He served in the U.S. Marines in the Vietnam War and stayed in the U.S. Marines Reserve upon returning from Vietnam. Through the years Glenn worked for the University of Nebraska, then served as a policeman for the Lincoln Nebraska Police Department. Following that he worked as a claims adjuster, Hutchinson, Kansas and then became Director of Fraud Investigations for Farmers Alliance, McPherson, Kansas. Glenn enjoyed watching sports, bowling, golfing, card games and spending time with his friends and family. Glenn Hageman was united in marriage to Judith Elaine Alexander on April 14, 1995 in rural Inman/Buhler, Kansas. Through the years Jeff worked for Archrock as a safety coordinator, McPherson, Kansas. Jeff loved working on cars, remodeling houses, computers, nature photography, traveling and spending time with his friend and family. Jeffery Swisher was united in marriage to Julie Edwards in Council Grove, Kansas. This union was blessed with the birth of two children, Jessica and Jason. He was then united in marriage to Margo Elaine Bonham on Dec. 8, 2016 in McPherson, Kansas. This union combined with Jessica and Jason was joined by Jeff and Michelle. He is survived by his children Jason Swisher of Claremore, Oklahoma and Jeff Parker and his wife Tiffany of Manhattan, Kansas; his daughter Michelle Parker of Parsons, Kansas and his sister Cindy Obee and her husband Donald of Emporia, Kansas. Warren Francis Webster, 99, of Lindsborg, passed away Monday, July 18, 2022 at Bethany Home. Warren was born March 20, 1923 in Roxbury, KS to the late Daniel C. and the late Lillian (Keefer) Webster.  

He married Margaret Spongberg on January 24, 1947 at Bethany Lutheran Church, Lindsborg, KS.  Warren served in the United States Navy during World War II.  He earned his bachelor’s degree from Bethany College and worked as a service manager for Kit Manufacturing.

Warren was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, American Legion Post #140, Lindsborg, VFW Post #2715, McPherson, the Lions Club, and the Lindsborg Tree Board.

Survivors include his daughters Sandra S Sharpe (Edward) of DeBary, FL, and Denise Ann Romero (A.V.) of Olathe, KS; sons Larry W. Webster (Cindy) of McPherson, KS, and Jerry L. Webster (Melany) of Lindsborg, KS; 12 grandchildren;  16 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Our beautiful mother, Barbara Jean Casteel, passed from these earthly bounds, June 24, 2022, after a short battle with complications related to injuries sustained in a vehicle accident.&nbsp; 

Barbara lived an incredible life which began, February 6, 1937, in Fort Worth, Texas.&nbsp; As a child, she would move from Texas to the city of angels, Los Angeles, California. Eventually, she ended up living on a rural farm just west of Whitewater, Kansas.&nbsp; She would remain there with her mother Patricia Ruth Schmidt and stepfather William Stanley Schmidt until she left for the University of Kansas, where she graduated in 1962, with a bachelor of science in elementary education.&nbsp; 

She went on to teach elementary in Kansas in 1965 and in Vermont from 1973–79.&nbsp; 

While attending KU, she met an intriguing young man named Darrell Casteel.&nbsp; They were married November 17, 1957; That lasted 27 years until his untimely death at the young age of 44 years old.&nbsp; The union produced two sons, Caron M. Casteel, and Marc E. Casteel.&nbsp; 

Our mother’s love of education helped Darrell achieve his goal of becoming a professor of anthropology, archaeology and Spanish, a language he was fluent in when they met.&nbsp; Little did she know, she had helped create her own “Indiana Jones” who she would share years of amazing adventures with in the jungles of Mexico and Central America.&nbsp; 

During her marriage she moved from Kansas to Vermont for 10 years as educators while raising her sons.&nbsp; Her final move to Dallas, Texas, in 1980, resulted in career changes. The untimely passing of her husband Darrell in December of 1984, would eventually lead to her returning to Kansas permanently to care for her elderly mother.&nbsp; 

In 1986, before leaving Texas for Kansas, she would finally give Stanley Schmidt, our grandfather, permission to adopt her in 1987.&nbsp; At a young 50 years of age, she was one of the oldest adoptees in the states of Kansas and Texas.&nbsp; 

For many years thereafter, she involved herself in various volunteer activities, such as CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates, in Dallas County, and Harvey County, for over 25 years; served on the board for Meals on Wheels; was inducted into the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) in 2000 and served as DAR Regent in 2007.&nbsp; 

Her love of God’s creatures, especially her fur-babies, lead to her numerous contributions for many non-profit charities and local shelters.&nbsp; She received the President’s Volunteer Service Award for outstanding service in her communities. Barbara, known by many as Mamau, also had a passion for everything about the Victorian era, to playing classical music on her piano.&nbsp; 

Our precious Mamau will be dearly missed as she was the matriarch of our small family and foundation of rock-solid stability for us all, especially, for my brother and I, from our childhood until the day she passed.&nbsp; We all have a piece of our hearts gone forever.&nbsp; Her limitless heart and vast ability to love makes our family’s world much smaller and incomplete.

Barbara Jean Casteel was preceded in death by her husband Darrell L. Casteel; mother Patricia Ruth Schmidt and adopted father William Stanley Schmidt; brother Clyde Goding, Jr.; and granddaughter Kirsten L. Casteel.

JoAnn E. (Detrixhe) Kempton, age 91, of Concordia, KS, died on Monday, July 18, 2022 at the Cloud County Health Center, Concordia, KS. She was born on May 12, 1931 near St. Joseph, Kansas to Edmond J. and Albertine S. (Sorell) Bechard.

She graduated from Clay Center High School in 1948.

JoAnn married Clinton W. Detrixhe of Ames, Kansas on September 5, 1949 and five children were born to this union. Clinton preceded her in death on July 13, 1973.

JoAnn married Clayton W. Kempton on November 23, 1976. After he retired from the utility construction business in Montrose, CO in 1991, they moved back to the farm near Ames, KS and later to Clifton, KS in 1995.

She was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Clifton and served on the Altar Society. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, family reunions, playing bridge and pitch, family genealogy, puzzles, dancing, and was a member of the Red Hat Society.

JoAnn is survived by her sons Jan Wayne Detrixhe (Patty), Concordia, KS; Phillip Kent Detrixhe (Rosa), Overland Park, KS; Fred Joseph Detrixhe (Cindy), Concordia, KS; daughter Pamela A. Detrixhe (Paul Schultz), Lansdowne, PA; stepdaughter Terri Watson (Robert), Littleton, CO; stepson-in-law Jerry Stadel, Montrose, CO; 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister Wilma Jean Lyon, Salina, KS; brother LaVern Bechard (Audrey), Salina, KS; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a large extended family.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clinton, a son, Richard Charles Detrixhe, husband Clayton, stepdaughter Paula Rose Stadel; three brothers, Roland Bechard, Norman Bechard, Donald Bechard; three sisters, Mary Frances Anderson, Gladys Forde, Arlene McNeil and three grandchildren, twins Michael and Mark, and Christopher.

Burial will follow at Nelson Center Cemetery, Huscher, KS. Mary Anne Widler, 87, of rural Enterprise, died on Sunday, July 17, 2022. She was born on July 6, 1935 on her family’s farm in the Sutphen’s Mill area north of Chapman, Kansas. Her parents were Marvin and Alice (Picking) Gfeller. 

She graduated from Dickinson County Community High School (DCCHS) in Chapman in 1953. 

She married Frank Lehman in 1954 and they lived in California while Frank was still in the Navy. Following Frank’s service in the Navy, the couple returned to Abilene where the family made its home west of Abilene. Frank and Mary raised six children. They divorced after 37 years of marriage. Mary later married Floyd Widler of rural Enterprise and they farmed together until Floyd’s death in 2016.

Mary worked at the First Presbyterian Church in Abilene as the church secretary for many years. She then worked on the staff at the National Greyhound Association headquarters for more than 20 years before retiring. She enjoyed gardening, antiques, and collecting dolls.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents Marvin and Alice Gfeller, her brother Platoon Sergeant John Gfeller, her sister Lt. Colonel Helen Gfeller, her sister Muriel Wyman, her former husbands Frank Lehman and Floyd Widler, and her two daughters Deanna Lehman and Sandra Howard.

Mary is survived by her four sons, Roger, David, Thomas, and Michael (Stacey); seven grandsons, Kalen Howard, Kenton Howard, Blaise Lehman, Brock Lehman, Brogan Lehman, Lucas Lehman, and Bentley Lehman; two great-grandsons, Haydn Howard, Rylan Howard, all of Abilene.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 21st at the First Baptist Church, 1697 2100 Avenue, Enterprise, Kansas. Pastor Stan Norman will officiate and will also be joined by Rogers Walls who will assist with the service. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. There will be a lunch at the Baptist church following a brief graveside service. The family will receive friends at a visitation at the Danner Funeral Home at 501 N. Buckeye in Abilene at 6:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20th.

He is survived by his daughter Constance R. Ellis, of Manhattan.

Dorothy Ruth Kolle, 93, died Monday, July 18th, 2022 at Smoky Hill Health and Rehab in Salina, Kansas.

On December 10th, 1928, God gave Gus and Eva (Martin) Schubert the gift of a baby girl, Dorothy Ruth. She was baptized and confirmed into God’s family at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Dorothy grew up on a farm and attended Ramona Grade School and Ramona High School, graduating May of 1946.

Dorothy married Paul Deines on August 3rd, 1947. To this union, they were blessed with six children, making their homes over the years in Ramona, Hillsboro, and Lyons, Kansas. Paul lost his battle with cancer on March 21st, 1963. Dorothy and children moved to Lost Springs and she started nursing school with the help of her parents with the children. She graduated from McPherson School of Nursing with her LPN February 1968. She started her nursing career at St. Luke Hospital in Marion and stayed until her retirement for 26 years. Dorothy married H.D. Hayward January 4th, 1974, making their home in Marion. He preceded her in death November 7th, 1985. Dorothy met Elvin Kolle through a mutual friend. They married April 21st, 1990. After her retirement from St. Luke in 1994, they moved to Linn, Kansas. Elvin passed away February 26th, 2003. Dorothy moved to Salina in 2004 and was active in RSVP Chorus, volunteering, and various areas of Christ the King Lutheran Church over the years. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister Carol Johnson; two sons, Brad Deines and Larry Deines; and daughter Cindy Dunning; two grandchildren, Nathan and Shelby; and great-grandchild Elise Noer. She is survived by sons Steve Deines (Sandra) of Pierce City, Missouri and Bill Deines of Topeka, Kansas; daughter Paula Berg (Jerrold) of Salina, Kansas; daughters-in-law Jeanie Deines of Kokomo, Indiana, Sherry Deines of Douglas, Wyoming; son-in-law Steve Dunning of Assaria, Kansas; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. On December 10th, 1928, God gave Gus and Eva (Martin) Schubert the gift of a baby girl, Dorothy Ruth. She was baptized and confirmed into God’s family at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Dorothy grew up on a farm and attended Ramona Grade School and Ramona High School, graduating May of 1946. Dorothy married Paul Deines on August 3rd, 1947. To this union, they were blessed with six children, making their homes over the years in Ramona, Hillsboro, and Lyons, Kansas. Paul lost his battle with cancer on March 21st, 1963. Dorothy and children moved to Lost Springs and she started nursing school with the help of her parents with the children. She graduated from McPherson School of Nursing with her LPN February 1968. She started her nursing career at St. Luke Hospital in Marion and stayed until her retirement for 26 years. Dorothy married H.D. Hayward January 4th, 1974, making their home in Marion. He preceded her in death November 7th, 1985. Dorothy met Elvin Kolle through a mutual friend. They married April 21st, 1990. After her retirement from St. Luke in 1994, they moved to Linn, Kansas. Elvin passed away February 26th, 2003. Dorothy moved to Salina in 2004 and was active in RSVP Chorus, volunteering, and various areas of Christ the King Lutheran Church over the years. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister Carol Johnson; two sons, Brad Deines and Larry Deines; and daughter Cindy Dunning; two grandchildren, Nathan and Shelby; and great-grandchild Elise Noer. She is survived by sons Steve Deines (Sandra) of Pierce City, Missouri and Bill Deines of Topeka, Kansas; daughter Paula Berg (Jerrold) of Salina, Kansas; daughters-in-law Jeanie Deines of Kokomo, Indiana, Sherry Deines of Douglas, Wyoming; son-in-law Steve Dunning of Assaria, Kansas; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. From 1980 to 1984, he owned and operated Koehn Tank Truck.&nbsp; In 1984, he started working for NCRA (now CHS), where he most recently was a special project operator at the boiler house.

Jim was born on December 21, 1960, in McPherson, KS, the son of Richard Lee and Sharon Marie (Rupert) Koehn.&nbsp; 

He attended Galva Elementary and Canton/Galva High School.&nbsp; 

On April 1, 1978, Jim was united in marriage to Edwina Burch in Canton. &nbsp;This union was blessed with two daughters, Treva and Aubrey. On March 23, 2016, Jim married Karen (McElwee) Peavy in McPherson.&nbsp;

He was a member of the Galva Christian Church and Canton American Legion Post #192.&nbsp; Jim had a love for fishing, golfing and riding his motorcycle.&nbsp; Most importantly, he loved spending time with his wife and family.&nbsp; He especially enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.

Survivors include his wife Karen; two daughters, Treva (Eric) Norstrom of Galva, KS and Aubrey (Kirk) Craig of McPherson, KS; a sister, Gina (John) Middleton of Canton, KS; seven grandchildren, Taryn, Ryder, Kourtney, Mimi, Red, Paxton, and Avery; two step-sons, Chase (Alison) Peavy of Smolan, KS and Cody (Sabrina) Peavy of Moundridge, KS; four step-grandchildren, Owen, Adelyn, Kohen, and Sahalie; niece and nephew Nikki and Bret; and many extended family and friends.

Jennifer was the dearly loved daughter of Dan and Nancy King, loved sister of Lori Chart (Michael) of Salina and cherished aunt of Brock Chart (Dominique) of Lawrence and Austin Chart of Morris, Minnesota.

In 2005 she married her soulmate Michael Moyer in Idaho Falls, Idaho before they relocated to Salina to be closer to our parents in 2009.

Jennifer graduated from Central High School in 1983. Jennifer was an amazing cello player and artist and had a great love of showing steers at the fair when she was younger.

Jennifer had an amazing connection and love for animals, finding them much easier to communicate with then people.

Jennifer made sure we were supporting any animal in need by our donations.

Her mastiff, Porsha Shae, was her best friend and loyal companion especially after the loss of her husband Michael in 2020.

We also lost our amazing parents Daniel C. King in 2017 and Nancy Lee King in 2020.

It was Jennifer’s wish to be cremated and her ashes will be placed with her loyal canine companion’s ashes. A private family burial will be held at a later date.

He was passionate about demo derbies, motorcycles, was a car enthusiast and attempted automotive repairs. Narcotics Anonymous was an important part of his life, where he was member for many years and became a sponsor, where he had countless friends. Jim enjoyed hunting with friends and his sons-in-law. While hunting, he even shot his truck and sometimes he shot deer. Jim worked at Farmway Co-Op, as a welder at Great Plains, El Dorado, and Midland Muffler. He also mowed lawns for many people around Salina. Survivors include his ex-wife of 30 years, Laurie Wolfe; they were blessed with two daughters, Natasha Gawith (Grant) and Shawna Gordon (Derrick); four granddaughters, Kailee, Alexis, Hendrix, Paisley;&nbsp; grandson Daygen; two dogs, Chief and Tina; numerous nieces and nephews; four brothers; five sisters; including foster siblings; and his mother Lucille Wolfe. Marshal Craig Funk, 43, of Redmond, Washington and formerly of McPherson, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at his home.&nbsp;

Marshal was born September 13, 1978, to Willard R. and Janet I. (Schmidt) Funk in McPherson, Kansas.&nbsp; He attended Sonshine Preschool, Lincoln Elementary School, McPherson Middle School and McPherson High School.&nbsp; Marshal enjoyed school and learning.&nbsp;

A friend and neighbor, Shawn Hein, was a big part of Marshal’s childhood.&nbsp; It was almost as if they were twins.&nbsp; Where one was, the other was never far away.&nbsp; Marshal enjoyed school and the relationships he had with his teachers.&nbsp; At an early age, Marshal developed an interest in space exploration and meteorology.&nbsp; Many hours were spent at the Cosmosphere in Hutchinson.&nbsp; He knew the mission of every space flight and what it involved.&nbsp; 

He was also interested in observing weather.&nbsp; Initially he was terrified of storms and severe weather.&nbsp; Needless to say, the Weather Channel was on almost constantly, especially on days when there were weather alerts.&nbsp; When tornado sirens went off, we usually went to the neighbor’s basement for shelter.&nbsp; On one of those days, his dad noticed his backpack was moving and squirming.&nbsp; Marshal had packed four kittens in there to take to the neighbor’s basement.&nbsp;&nbsp; Eventually after learning what causes severe weather, he became more rational and even wanted to go out and chase storms.

Marshal attended First Baptist Church regularly with his family.&nbsp; In 1988, he was baptized after professing his faith in Christ.&nbsp; Marshal would look forward to spending time with family and friends.&nbsp; At family reunions, he enjoyed sharing his jokes and puns.&nbsp; Marshal also enjoyed vacations with his family, especially time in the mountains of Colorado.

Marshal played trombone in the middle school band and jazz band.&nbsp; This carried over to the high school marching band, pep band and jazz band.&nbsp; Marshal enjoyed reading, and read many books from a wide range of genres.&nbsp; Early in high school, Marshal was hired at the local Dairy Queen where he developed a good work ethic.

Marshal graduated from high school in 1997 and went on to Kansas State University where he participated in marching band his freshman year.&nbsp; He worked as an assistant for two years at Goodnow Residence Hall.&nbsp; He graduated in 2002 with a degree in history and a minor in computer science.

After graduating from college, Marshal packed up his car and moved to Seattle, Washington, where he had a job waiting for him through his friend, Daniel Horn.&nbsp; He worked at various software companies, including Marchex, White Pages, Amazon and others, ending up at the University of Washington.&nbsp; 

Marshal enjoyed cooking and was happy to give his advice on cooking procedures to those of us less able. In an uncharacteristic move, Marshal became a dedicated Seattle Seahawks fan for several years when he had access to season tickets through his apartment manager.&nbsp; In 2014 when the Seahawks won a Super Bowl, it was time to move on.&nbsp;

We always looked forward to Marshal being home at Christmas and catching up on life’s events.&nbsp; Marshal had a quiet and reserved personality, but he was a positive influence in the lives of people he knew and worked with.&nbsp; Marshal will be greatly missed.

Marshal is survived by his father Willard Funk (Mary) of McPherson, KS; step-brothers Ryan Shaw (Jordan) and family of Cheney, KS and Connor Shaw of Kansas City, KS; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.&nbsp;

Michelin “Mich” Louise (Fabrizius) Fiske, 73, of Salina, passed away Friday, July 15, 2022, in Minneapolis, Kansas. She was born June 15, 1949, in Hays, Kansas, the daughter of Herman and Leona (Sommerfield) Fabrizius. 

Mich graduated from Minneapolis High School in 1967. On November 8, 1982, she was united in marriage to Kenneth “Kenny” Fiske, and the couple made their home in Salina.

She collected dear friends everywhere she went, from her workplaces to her time at the Elks, GreatLife and the Smoky Hill River Festival. Holidays spent with her mom, siblings, nieces and nephews, children, and grandkids were always a treasured time for her. In her free time, she frequented local department stores and was especially sad when Dillards closed but found a new favorite when Marshall’s came to town, never wanting to miss a bargain. Her love for KU basketball and slot machines was only surpassed by her love for her grandkids.&nbsp;

Mich is survived by her husband Kenny of Salina; a daughter, Amber Hanson (Scott) of Concordia, Kansas; three sons, J.B. Fiske (Mandy) of Enterprise, Kansas, Rick Fiske (Sheri) of Bennington, Kansas and Jason Fiske of Elwood, Nebraska; her mother Leona Fabrizius of Minneapolis, Kansas; three brothers, Don Fabrizius (Wendy) of Niles, Kansas, Steve Fabrizius of Minneapolis, Kansas, and Mike Fabrizius (Tami) of Minneapolis, Kansas; a sister, Kathy Nash (Marty) of Minneapolis, Kansas; grandchildren Melissa, Kate, Maddy, Chase, Cade, Cobey, Quenton, Abby, Haddie, Brynna, and Callie; and three great-grandchildren.

Mich is preceded in death by her father Herman Fabrizius; a grandson, Sidney Fiske; and a nephew, Aaron Fiske.&nbsp;

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Tuesday, July 19, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina, with family receiving friends from 6-8. Funeral services for Mich will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, at First United Methodist Church of Salina. A private burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.

She worked at K-State in the file department of the agricultural building after high school and then worked at the Western Merchandise Company (Duckwall's) office in Abilene operating a posting machine.

When they weren’t on the farm, Clarence and Eileen loved to travel as far away as England, France, Ireland, Israel, Africa, and Haiti.Eileen was a member of Rural Life, Sunflower Club and Chatter Club. She was both a 4-H member and leader teaching cooking and sewing. Eileen was a member of Emmanuel Methodist Church, Lay Witness Mission Co-Coordinator, Auxiliary Member of Gideons and founding member and president of Abilene Christian Women’s Club. She was also involved in the Dickinson County Jail Ministry. Her loving faith was central to all that she was involved in.She used her cooking skills to bake at Genny’s Country Cupboard and prepared meals for XYZ Seniors at Emmanuel Church. She also won numerous Dickinson County cooking contests.She is survived by her children Janette Fulton (Dennis) of Nampa, ID, Marsha Pavkov (Roger) of Salina, KS, Larry (Jean) Garten of Olathe, KS, and Scott (Jamie) Garten of Abilene, KS, 14 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren, sister Joyce Whitebread of Littleton, CO, and brothers Fred J. Londene of Huntsville, AL and Carl Londene of Albuquerque, NM.Proceeding her in death were her husband Clarence, son Steven, parents Fred and Siri Londene, sisters Mildred Londene, Helen Swarts, Dorothy Bean and Virgilee Springer and brothers Lowell, Francis, and Duane Londene.A celebration of life service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Sat., July 30, at Emmanuel Church, 1300 N. Vine St., Abilene, KS. There will be a luncheon following the service for all who attend.The visitation with the family will be on Friday, July 29, at Emmanuel Church, 1300 N.
