Eric Lee Warkentine, 44, of Salina, Kansas, passed away on Sunday, February 6th, 2022, of Covid-19. Eric was born in Wellington, Kansas, on June 3, 1977, a son of Janet (Landes) Warkentine-Marker and Robert Warkentine. Eric grew up in Salina, KS, where he was an outstanding athlete, excelling as a Kansas State High School wrestling champion. He went on to wrestle at the University of Nebraska at Kearny on a scholarship where he earned dual BS degrees in criminal justice and French. Eric was an academic scholar and continued his education earning his MBA from the University of Sarasota. He was only a few credits short of a Ph.D. degree. Eric's many God-given talents included drawing, painting, playing the piano, organ, saxophone and other musical instruments. He could hear a song for the first time, pick up an instrument and play it. Eric loved to be by the ocean and lived for several years in Sarasota, FL. He loved the great outdoors from swimming to hiking in the mountains. Eric was a night owl like his mom and they loved to stay up late watching movies when they were together. If anyone ever needed help, Eric was the first to run and help in anyway he could. Eric was a loving father, son, brother, and a friend to everyone he met. He had a beautiful smile, a generous heart, and will be dearly missed. Those left to mourn his passing are his mother Janet Warkentine-Marker (Larry), of Wilson, Kansas; father,Robert Warkentine (Anne), of Lawrence, Kansas; brother Jason Warkentine (Pam), of Peyton, Colorado; step-sister Kim (Marker) Unruh (Tim), of McPherson, Kansas; daughter Jadeyn Warkentine of Sarasota, Florida; son Bryant Warkentine, of Orlando, Florida; significant other Lorie Urbanek, of Salina, Kansas; niece Alyssa and nephews Robby and Danny of Peyton, Colorado; numerous loving cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. Eric was embraced upon his arrival in Heaven by his recently deceased cousin, Sarah, his grandparents, great-aunts and uncles, and cousins. Cremation has been chosen. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 14, at The Ark Church, 2020 S. Ohio St., Salina, Kansas. Paul Jordan and John Huseman will be officiating. The family is requesting masks be worn by all in attendance. On February 8, 2022, in Belleville, Kansas, Robert (Bob) Dean Adee, age 88, &nbsp;peacefully joined his father and mother Vernon and Beulah Mae (Layher) Adee; wife, Evelyn (Hilsop) Adee; brother Stanley Adee; sister and brother-in-law Donna and Robert (Bob) Brown; brother-in-law Barton Johnson; and great-grandchildren Kamryn Aufdengarten and Carson Adee.&nbsp;

Bob was born July 24, 1933, in Arnold, NE; he was the eldest of five children (Donna Brown, Richard Adee, Stanley Adee, and Vernamae Johnson). The family moved to Haddam, KS, in 1949, where he graduated high school in 1951. Following this, he obtained his associate's degree from Fairbury Junior College. 

He married Peggy Rychtarik-Rogers in 1953, and to the union were born seven children: Joan (Larry) Pape of Washington, KS; June Stafford of Salida, CO; Jack (Kathy) Adee of Haddam, KS; Roberta Verhoek of Danbury, TX; Rex (Robin) Adee of Arcadia, OK; Roger Adee of Republic, KS; and Herb (Elizabeth) Adee of Lake Lotawana, MO. They later divorced and in 1977, he married Evelyn Hislop. Through this marriage he gained a stepson, Jarvis (Butch) Renfro of Bruce, SD.&nbsp;

Out of high school, Bob worked for the Belleville, KS newspaper, the state of Kansas, an auto body shop, operated his own beekeeping business, then until retiring in 2015, worked for his brother Richard, in Bruce, SD, driving semi-tractor trailers. 

He enjoyed trips to the lake and camping with his family, bowling on a league in Washington, KS, and COFFEE(!). Bob also enjoyed racing cars and was an accomplished pilot.&nbsp;

He will be greatly missed by his brother Richard (Alice) Adee of Bruce, SD, and sister Vernamae Johnson of Chicago, IL; his children, grandchildren Diana (Brian) Aufdengarten, Melissa Pape, Robert Pape, Sarah (Greg) Isaacson, Josh (Christina) Stafford, Jack (Tara) Adee Jr., Amanda (Musab) Sufi, Cassandra (Michael) Smith, Rochelle (Victor) Lazo, Rebekah Verhoek, Ryan (Samantha) Adee, Regan (Chris) McWhirter, Rhame (Meghan) Adee, Tabitha (David) Dunn, Robert K. Adee, Miranda (Anthony) Weddington, Jordan Adee, and Alexandria Adee; 30 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.&nbsp;

&nbsp;A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 12, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Brantford Covenant Cemetery. A reception to honor Bob’s life will be held at the Brantford Covenant Church following the graveside service.&nbsp;

Any monetary memorials will be donated to American Honey Producers Association to benefit honey bee research, and may be sent in care of the funeral home.

Elwin Eugene Danielson, son of Arthur and Rhoda (Nondorf) Danielson, was born June 18, 1929, in Lincoln Township, rural Republic Co., KS, and died February 7, 2022, at Republic County Hospital, at the age of 92 years, 7 months and 20 days.

Elwin’s family moved north of Belleville, KS, and Elwin attended Rural Grade Schools near Belleville, and graduated from Belleville High School in 1947. During high school, Elwin was a member of the BHS FFA Club. 

On October 17, 1951, Elwin was united in marriage to Anna Mae Kieffer at St. Edward's Catholic Church in Belleville. To this union was born one son, Raymond. The couple resided at several farms north of Belleville, where Elwin farmed and did custom hay swathing and baling.

Elwin was a member of several clubs, including the Belleville Eagles 3281, where he was a past president. He was a past president of the Kansas State Eagles Club. Elwin was a member of and served in several offices, including trustee and governer in the Concordia, KS, Moose Lodge until that organization was dissolved. He was currently a member of the Eagles Club at Junction City, KS. Elwin loved to travel with his wife, Ann, to state and national Eagles and Moose clubs and conventions to visit with the members of clubs in other cities and in several different states.

Elwin was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Rhoda Danielson, and Ann, his wife of 62 years. 

Elwin is survived by his son Ray and wife Brenda of Belleville, brother-in-law David Kieffer, and three sisters-in-law, Theresa Baxa, Marge Walker, and Marilyn Wilson, 47 nieces and nephews, and many friends and acquaintances in Belleville and the surrounding areas.

Visitation will be Monday, February 14, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., at Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home in Belleville, the family will not be present.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 15, at 10 o'clock, at St. Edward's Catholic Church in Belleville, with Father Henry Baxa officiating; burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, rural Wayne, KS.

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Bonnie Newell, our loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and friend to all whose lives she touched, on February 10, 2022.&nbsp; She left her earthly life while sleeping peacefully at the Jewell County Hospital ISB in Mankato, Kansas.&nbsp; She was in her 88th&nbsp;year.

Bonnie was born on May 17, 1933 in Glen Elder, Kansas to Dwight and Ethel (Margreiter) Timbers.&nbsp; She graduated from Glen Elder High School and attended Brown Mackie College in Salina, KS.&nbsp;

 On November 30, 1952, Bonnie was united in marriage to Bob G. Newell, and together they had five children, Andra, Lynn, Teri, Shawn, and Lance.&nbsp; Bonnie and Bob celebrated 50 years of marriage prior to Bob’s passing in 2003.

Bonnie lived a full life as a wonderful and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.&nbsp; She was a highly skilled cook and baker who cherished preparing and sharing incredible meals with her family and friends.&nbsp; Bonnie put her heart and soul into preparing her famous five-course (or more) meals for those she loved.&nbsp; Holidays at “Grandma Bonnie’s” were especially exciting for her grandchildren who opened many thoughtful presents and devoured trays of homemade candies and desserts.&nbsp; 

She adored her sisters and spent many hours swapping recipes and chatting with them on the phone.&nbsp; She was also best of friends with her big brother, Roy and wife, Dot.&nbsp; Throughout her life, she was faithfully committed to making and serving bountiful meals every harvest season.&nbsp; 

Bonnie loved to travel with her family and friends, and especially cherished the summer vacations to the Ozarks with her children and grandchildren.&nbsp;&nbsp; Spending time with her family brought her immense pride and joy.&nbsp; She was a selfless and loyal mother and grandmother who supported her children and grandchildren in their many activities and hobbies.&nbsp; 

Bonnie enjoyed playing bridge with her friends and having them over for coffee.&nbsp; She was an active member of the Junior Clio Club for 50 years, and a member of the Harmony Methodist Church.&nbsp; Bonnie will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother and whose greatest passion was her family.

Bonnie is survived by her children Andra (Rodney) Hancock, Salina; Lynn Shamburg, Beloit; Teri File, Salina; Lance Newell, Wichita; Susan Newell, Mankato; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; sisters Bernice Lilly, Bernita Eberle, Berta (Dan) Moss, and sister-in-law Dixie Stephens.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband Bob; son Shawn; son-in-law Terry Shamburg; grandson Cole Hancock; Eric Waddell; brother and wife Roy and Dot Timbers; brothers-in-law George Stephens, Bill Eberle, and Keith Lilly.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 15 at 11:00 a.m. at Harmony United Methodist Church, Mankato.&nbsp; Burial will be in Athens Cemetery.&nbsp;

Mary grew up in the Clyde and Cloud County area. She married Lloyd Snavely on Nov. 23, 1978 in Arkansas City, KS and he preceded her on Jan. 1, 2011.&nbsp; She later married Randell Eaton on March 15, 2016 in York, NE.

She worked for Sunset Nursing Home as a cook and later for Park Villa Nursing Home as the laundry and housekeeping supervisor.

She is survived by her husband Randell, Concordia; stepsons Christopher Eaton (Kayla), Hebron, NE and Cory Eaton, Concordia; stepdaughter Sara Eaton, Gig Harbor, WA; four stepgrandchildren and a stepgreat grandchild; several brothers and sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded by her first husband Lloyd Snavely; her father Walter Starkey and mother Norma Crays; sisters Pamela Lauritsen and Maggie Graham and brothers Alvie and Samuel Starkey.

Margie was born September 29, 1937 and graduated from Kipp High School in 1955. She attended Emporia State College and Fort Hays State College. She worked for Smoot Grain Company for one year. She met her husband Don A. Johnson in Kipp and they were married December 12, 1959.

Margie’s early years as a farm wife were spent raising her daughters and “go for” duties. She loved to cook and experiment with new exotic recipes which were not always appreciated by her family. A family gathering was not complete without her blueberry salad and cherry pie which her nieces and nephews loved. A long-time farm hand, Dale Brown, said that the only reason he worked on the farm was for Margie’s dinners, specifically for her mashed potatoes. As her daughters grew, her involvement in the farm increased. As she told the Salina Journal in 2003, she wanted to learn how to drive a combine at harvest. “My husband went to town and bought an old combine. He put me out in a field and told everyone else to stay away from me and leave me alone. That is how I learned to drive the combine.” Margie quickly became a full and equal partner with Don on the farm. She fell in love with raising Angus cattle which became Don Johnson Angus. “It is peaceful to see those little baby calves born and watch them grow; it is a miracle.” She was looking forward to the 26th Annual Bull Sale in March and was reviewing calf birthing records with Don the morning of her death and pointing out his errors in documentation.

Early in their life, Margie and Don raised basset hounds and were active members in the Salina Kennel Club where they met many lifetime friends. Margie loved all animals and was never without dogs or cats. Even though she would grumble about a new stray dog or cat showing up at the farm, she would always feed them and make them a home. Margie was active in various community activities during her life, particularly those involving children: teaching Sunday School (Kipp Presbyterian Church), Kipp 4-H leader, and assisted at the church nursery (First Convenant Church of Salina). Margie lived her whole life for her immediate and extended family. Besides her husband Don, she is survived by her daughters Dawn Johnson of Tampa, Florida and Linda Egger (Dan) of Columbus, Nebraska. She sacrificed much so her daughters could have opportunities that were not available to her as a child. Her grandchildren, Caylie Prauner (Payton) of Norfolk, Nebraska, Torie Egger of Elkorn, Nebraska, and Lane Egger of Columbus, Nebraska were the joys of her life. She and Don never thought twice of driving hours to see them showing animals and the best times were when they spent days with Grandma. She is also survived by siblings Betty Rudasill of Richmond, Virginia, and Bob Cooley (Sally) Lake Forest, California; nephews and nieces (Doug, Chris, Rita, Julie, Sheri, Scott, Lori, Amy, and Michelle), and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her parents Martha and Harold Cooley Sr., her sisters Peggy Baker and Karen Cooley, and her brother Harold Cooley Jr. Margie was looking forward to the birth of her first great-grandchild in May. She will be greatly missed by all. Margie’s faith was instilled into her by her parents. She insisted that Don bring the iPad to the hospital on the day of her death so she could watch church by video. Memorials can be given to the First Convenant Church of Salina, in care of the Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, 500 S. Ohio Street, Salina 67401. Survivors include her daughter Thelma Morrow, grandchildren Haley Jackson, and Wyatt Keeler and a great-grandson Ayden Jackson, one brother Bill and one sister Lola Culp.

Mendle “Lindy” DelVon Lindblad passed away on February 7, 2022 in Belleville, KS. &nbsp;Lindy was born on the family&nbsp;farm in Republic County, KS,&nbsp;on June 30, 1929. &nbsp;He was the youngest&nbsp;of five children born to&nbsp;John Emil and Anna&nbsp;Sandell&nbsp;Lindblad. &nbsp;

Lindy celebrated his 92nd birthday last June at the Belleville Health Care Center where he had been a resident since 2013.&nbsp; He attended the&nbsp;Courtland school system, graduating from high school in 1947. &nbsp; He&nbsp;was very proud of his Swedish heritage. &nbsp;&nbsp;

He so enjoyed talking, working and socializing with his many friends and acquaintances in Republic County. &nbsp;Lindy was a faithful lifelong member of the Ada Lutheran Church in&nbsp;Courtland (Kackley&nbsp;Community), KS.

Lindy lived in Republic County his entire life, with the exception of his Army military service starting in 1951. &nbsp; After his father’s death, he was his mother’s sole caregiver until her death in 1980. &nbsp; Lindy worked as a butcher in north central Kansas for many years. &nbsp;He eventually owned and operated his own grocery store in Courtland, KS, “Lindy’s Market.”&nbsp; &nbsp;Prior to his retirement on November 2012,&nbsp;he worked for Pawnee Mental Health Services, in Concordia, KS as a van driver. &nbsp;

Lindy frequently volunteered for many community events, including the annual sausage making fundraiser at the Ada Lutheran Church.

Lindy is preceded in death by his parents, all four of his siblings, brother Ercel, and sisters Emmeline, Eleanor, and &nbsp;Anona (Toni) Kyle. &nbsp;Until health issues restricted his driving, he made frequent visits &nbsp;to his sister’s and brother-in-law’s home in Salina, KS. 

For decades&nbsp;Lindy participated in family holiday dinners at&nbsp; his niece’s, Marcia (Kyle) Rinehart. Marcia and her family hosted many beautiful holiday dinners in Leawood, Kansas. Lindy so enjoyed engaging with his family during these special times and brought gifts of wine and some incredible herring. He is also survived by his nephew, Dana Kyle, formerly of Manhattan, KS.

Lindy (Del to his immediate family) will be remembered for his very tall, strong physique, his easy smile, and his engaging conversation. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at both the Belleville Health Care Center and the Belleville Hospital for the many years of professional and loving care they provided to Lindy. &nbsp;Lindy greatly appreciated the many acts of kindness over the years from his relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be at the Ada Lutheran Church, rural Courtland, Kansas,&nbsp;on Friday, February 11, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. burial will follow at the church cemetery. The services will be recorded, and available on the funeral home website for family and friends unable to attend the services.

Jeanne Ann Odgers Blazek, 73, was born January 22, 1949, to Joseph and Alice (Norgard) Odgers. She passed away February 7, 2022, at the Republic County Hospital in Belleville, Kansas.&nbsp;

Jeanne attended Tabor School from kindergarten to 6th&nbsp;grade, McCune school for 7th&nbsp;and 8th&nbsp;grades, and graduated from Belleville High School in 1967. 

She was united in marriage June 5, 1970 to Harold G. Blazek in Fairbury, Nebraska. They made their home in rural Cuba with their children, Tammy, Tina, Joseph and Thomas, until their retirement when they moved to Belleville. 

She was a farmwife raising their four children and worked for M-C Industries, Dairy Queen, and then Walmart for many years.

She was a member of the American Lutheran Church, the Red Hat Society, and the Belleville Supper Club. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, attending their many activities and baking kolaches for friends and family.

She enjoyed her retirement years with special friend Eldon Sterba going to supper club, auctions and attending other community activities.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold; son-in-law Mike Pachta; and infant sister Elaine Carol Odgers.

Jeanne will be remembered by many including her children Tammy Pachta (late Mike) of Riley, Tina Cherney of Concordia, Joe Blazek (Christi) of Belleville, and Tom Blazek (Kristi) of Cuba; grandchildren Dayna Kriley (Dustin), Stacy Shoemaker (Connor), Mikel Cherney (Monica), Kyle Cherney (Megan), Jaycee Blazek, Julia Blazek, Jordyn Blazek, Andrew Blazek (Courtney Mansfield), Lacie Blazek, Aubrey Blazek, and Jason Blazek; eight great-grandchildren Ezra Kriley, Lucas and Grant Shoemaker, Hailey and McKayla Cherney, Kasen and Mavrick Cherney and Oliver Blazek; and sister, Brenda Odgers (John McKee).

Funeral services will be held Thursday February 10, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., at the American Lutheran Church of Belleville. Burial will follow at the Belleville City Cemetery.

Bertha Joan Clark, 82, of McPherson, KS, peacefully passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022, surrounded by family at her home in McPherson.&nbsp; She was retired from Sanofi Winthrop Pharmaceutical/Abbott Laboratories in McPherson.

Bertha was born on August 28, 1939, in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Aldyth (McCall) and Thomas Presley McGinnis, Sr.&nbsp; On August 28, 1956, Bertha was united in marriage to Robert Louis Clark in Richmond, KS.&nbsp; They were married for 65 years before his passing on December 24, 2021.&nbsp;

Survivors include: two daughters, Tamera Alexander of Newton, KS and Coleen Haddox (Michael) of South Coffeyville, OK; a brother, Bill West (Jan) of Las Vegas, NV; a sister, Dorothy Malone of Richmond, MO; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three siblings, Lois White, John West, and Thomas “Sonny” McGinnis, Jr.

Christine’s life began on April 24, 1967, in El Dorado. She was the daughter of Robert and Janet (Patterson) Allison. 

Christine graduated from high school in California and later continued her education at Butler County Community College.

 She worked as a CNA and med aide for several area nursing homes including Wheat State Manor in Whitewater and Lake Point in El Dorado. Christine continued her CNA duties as a home health aid until she was no longer able to work. 

Three of Christine’s favorite things in life were her coffee, shopping and spending time with her grandson and family. 

She is survived by her sons Jacob (Shelby) Allison of McPherson, and Michael Allison of Newton; fiancé Kenneth Goff of Potwin, grandson Kaden Allison and her siblings Robert Allison of Potwin, Cathy Klingborn of Wichita, and Michael D. Allison of El Dorado. 

Christine passed away on Monday January 31, 2022, at El Dorado Health and Rehabilitation. 

She is preceded in death by her mother Janet. 

Private graveside services will be held at a later date at Mc Gill Cemetery, Potwin. Lamb Funeral Home is serving the family.

Elsie was born April 9, 1929, in Amarillo, Texas. She was the daughter of James and Mary Mae (Creel) Slape. The Slape family grew to include Melvin, Leroy, Dalton, Elsie, Ina, and Orville. Elsie attended Griffin Springs School in Oklahoma.

She was united in marriage to James Slaughter on May 3, 1947. This marriage was blessed with two daughters, Mary Lou, and Donna Rae. They would later divorce. 

Elsie attended nursing school in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She worked as a registered nurse at Washington General Hospital in Fayetteville. Elsie later moved to Newton, Kansas where she worked at Presbyterian Nursing Home and Hesston Hospital. 

She later moved to San Francisco, California where she met and married Stan Jouanne. She worked at South City San Francisco Hospital for several years and later owned her own boarding and care home. After losing Stan to a stoke, she retired to Spokane, Washington to be near her youngest Daughter, Donna. Eleven years later she decided to make her home in Florence, Kansas to be near her oldest daughter, Mary.

Elsie was called to her heavenly home on February 6, 2022. 

She was preceded in death by her parents James and Mary Mae Slape; her four brothers Melvin, Leroy, Dolton, and Orville; her youngest daughter Donna Rae.

She is survived by Mary (Ronnie) Shipman of Florence; her sister Ina Davis of Kingman, Arizona; eight grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at Carriage Manor Clubhouse, Florence.

She was the daughter of James and Mary Mae (Creel) Slape. The Slape family grew to include Melvin, Leroy, Dalton, Elsie, Ina, and Orville. Elsie attended Griffin Springs School in Oklahoma.She was united in marriage to James Slaughter on May 3, 1947. This marriage was blessed with two daughters, Mary Lou, and Donna Rae. They would later divorce. Elsie attended nursing school in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She worked as a registered nurse at Washington General Hospital in Fayetteville. Elsie later moved to Newton, Kansas where she worked at Presbyterian Nursing Home and Hesston Hospital. She later moved to San Francisco, California where she met and married Stan Jouanne. She worked at South City San Francisco Hospital for several years and later owned her own boarding and care home. After losing Stan to a stoke, she retired to Spokane, Washington to be near her youngest Daughter, Donna. Eleven years later she decided to make her home in Florence, Kansas to be near her oldest daughter, Mary.Elsie was called to her heavenly home on February 6, 2022. Sigrid W. Hanson, age 89 of Abilene, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at the Memorial Hospital in Abilene. She was born December 20, 1932 on Jackson Mountain, Oklahoma, the daughter of Harley and Dora Wilson. Sigrid was a loving mother and enjoyed sewing, quilting and casinos. She loved gardening and nurturing her house plants. She enjoyed traveling and made many trips across the country with her sisters and brother and family. She and Ernie loved nothing better than getting in the car and driving. She loved to bake and cook and feed her family. In 1949 she married Daniel Sells in Oklahoma. They later divorced. She then married Joe Crawford. He passed away in 2006. She married Earnest Hanson on December 20, 2015 in Grants, New Mexico. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include her sons Dallas (Joan) Sells of Salinas, California, Duane(Janet) Sells of Manhattan, David Sells of Marble City, Oklahoma, daughter Glynda (Larry) Guthrie of Selmer, Tennessee, brothers Harley (Waneta) Wilson, Jr. of Pueblo, Colorado, Raymond Wilson of Muldrow, Oklahoma, Johnnie(Joyce) Wilson of Gans, Oklahoma, sisters Tempie (Roger) Adams of Luther, Oklahoma, Novie (Otis) Conley of Lynchburg, Tennessee, eight grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sister Carrie McDonald, brothers Banty Wilson, Wayland Wilson, Jim Wilson, Willard Wilson, infant twin, brother and sister, and granddaughter Carrie Sells. Cremation is planned and a memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at the United Methodist Church in Enterprise with Pastor Arnie Boyd officiating. Her final resting place will be in a cemetery in Lindsborg.

Dick (Richard) Keith Stirtz, 87, of Enterprise went to be with the Lord Jesus Tuesday, February 8, 2022. He was born June 16, 1934, in Abilene, the son of Carl and Ruth (Platz) Stirtz. 

He graduated from Abilene High School in 1952, graduated from Kansas State University (BS science education), taught one year of high school science, served in the Air Force four years and then moved back to Dickinson County where he joined his brother Ned in farming. 

On August 16, 1968, he was united in marriage to Mary Louise Feist at Seward Avenue Baptist Church (Topeka, KS). 

Dick’s legacy will be carried on through his wife Mary of 53 years and sons: David of Holyrood, KS, Tim (Toni) of Duncanville, TX, Brent (Katherine) of Topeka, KS, Michael (Ambre) of Wichita, KS, and nine grandchildren. He is survived by brother Jerry, Del Mar, CA. Dick’s first love was for God, then Mary, then family and then farming. He tirelessly played games with his boys and supported their various interests. Dick was a faithful servant of Christ, serving his family, Church and others. He will be remembered as one who never complained, worked hard, and selflessly loved his family and others. Funeral services for Dick will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 11, at Community Bible Church in Abilene with Pastor Lindsey Brummer officiating. Burial will follow at the Abilene City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, 6-7 p.m. at Community Bible Church.

He is survived by brother Jerry, Del Mar, CA. Dick’s first love was for God, then Mary, then family and then farming. He tirelessly played games with his boys and supported their various interests. Dick was a faithful servant of Christ, serving his family, Church and others. He will be remembered as one who never complained, worked hard, and selflessly loved his family and others. Funeral services for Dick will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 11, at Community Bible Church in Abilene with Pastor Lindsey Brummer officiating. Burial will follow at the Abilene City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, 6-7 p.m. at Community Bible Church. February 7, 2022&nbsp;Karen Kay Wolf&nbsp;passed into the presence of her Lord and Savior&nbsp; in Salina, KS at the age of 74.&nbsp; Karen was born to Chester Wilcox Sr. and Vivian Spencer Wilcox in Davenport, IA October 6, 1947.&nbsp; She was the middle child of nine siblings.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Chester Wilcox Jr., Alfred Wilcox, and Ivan Wilcox and sisters Donna Mae Frenell, and Shirley Frye.

Karen Kay is survived by husband Roger Wayne Wolf of Salina, KS, daughter Julie Kaye Wolf (husband Jeff Jesmer) of Northglenn, CO, brother Richard Spencer (wife Shauna Spencer) of Jacksonville, IL, sisters Betty J. Wilcox of Moline, IL and Crystal Dark (husband Jeff Dark) of Pittsfield, IL and also several nieces and nephews.

Services: Visitation will be on Sunday, February 13, 2022 from 4:00 p.m.. to 7:00 p.m. at Ryan Mortuary.&nbsp; Funeral service will be held at Salina Heights Christian Church on Cloud and Roach Street, Monday, February 14, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.&nbsp; Burial will follow at Gypsum Hill Cemetery in Salina, KS.&nbsp;

Gladys Charlene Anderson, 96, of Lindsborg, passed Monday, February 7, 2022 at Bethany Home Assisted Living.  Gladys was born November 15, 1925, at home near Crystal Lake, IA. She was the daughter of the late Jens Christian and Esther Evelyn (Johnson) Mortensen. 

 

Gladys married Charlie Raymond Anderson on December 26, 1949 at the home where she was born near Crystal Lake, IA.

Gladys married Charlie Raymond Anderson on December 26, 1949 at the home where she was born near Crystal Lake, IA. 

Gladys was a graduate of Grinnell College in Grinnell Iowa. She worked as a teacher in Iowa and New Mexico from 1945 until 1972, when she and her family moved to Lindsborg. Gladys was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Lindsborg. She co-founded their business, Anderson Butik, with her husband Charlie in 1973.

She is survived by her sons John Anderson (Patricia) of Flora Vista, NM, and Dean Anderson of Lindsborg, KS; grandchildren Donald Anderson, of Mesilla, NM, Jeff Anderson (Jenifer Zamora), of Albuquerque, NM, Sara Anderson, of Gothenburg, Sweden, and Emma Anderson (Chad Uhl), of Stockholm, Sweden; great-grandchildren Axel Anderson and Miriam Anderson; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Gladys is preceded in death by her parents; husband Charlie; brother John Mortensen; sister Laura O’Mara; and nephew Robert O’Mara. 

Burial services have taken place and a memorial service will be announced and held in May.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethany Lutheran Church. Memorials may be sent in care of Crick-Christians Funeral Home, 103 N. Washington, Lindsborg, KS 67456.&nbsp;
