Obituary for LaVerna M. Weber | Ryan Mortuary
June 22, 1927 ~ August 12, 2022 (age 95)
SALINA, KS – LaVerna M. Weber was born June 22, 1927, one of four children born to Lewis and Ida Will. LaVerna passed away August 12, 2022 at Salina Regional Health Center. She was 95 years old.
She worked several jobs over her lifetime in Salina. When she no longer worked outside of her home, she loved keeping her house pristine inside and out.
She had so many good friends and at least once a month several different groups of these friends would get together and have lunch at different restaurants. She was loved by everyone and knew no strangers. She had several hobbies and always decorated her house for the holidays and seasons. After her husband passed, she lived alone and took care of everything herself. Within the last year she voluntarily gave up her car (because of all the crazy drivers out there). She was a fantastic cook and wonderful baker.
She was preceded by two sons, Rodney (Ginger) Baird of Bisbee, Arizona and Ronald Baird of Salina. Also, her husband Deane Weber and stepson Billie Weber, a sister, Bernitta Shulz of Cortez, Colorado, and Gertrude Parson of Hunter, Ks, one brother, Theodore Will of Salina and a half-brother, Duane Will of Topeka.
Survivors include two children, Rebecca Roe of Salina and Jeffrey (Sindi) Baird of Solomon, two stepsons, John (Ellen) and Donnie weber, also grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, who called her G.G.
Her husband Deane introduced her to Eckankar and her life blossomed from there. She and Deane loved to square dance and camp.
The service will be held Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Ryan Mortuary. She wished to be cremated and placed with loved ones.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Eckankar Center of Salina and sent in care of Ryan Mortuary.
