Anne Marie (Thompson) Pfizenmaier, 87,&nbsp;passed away&nbsp;Wednesday,&nbsp;October 4,&nbsp;2023, at the Clay Center Presbyterian Manor. She was born July 26,&nbsp;1936, in&nbsp;Clay Center, the daughter of Marvin and Helen (Marsh) Stevenson. &nbsp;&nbsp;

She graduated from Clay Center High School. Anne worked for the ASC&nbsp;office in Clay Center. &nbsp;On October 28,&nbsp;1956, Anne married Duaine Thompson at the Presbyterian Church in Idana.&nbsp;She continued to work at the ASC office until her first son was born and then stayed home to raise her family and help Duaine on the farm. &nbsp;She later returned to the ASC office, where she retired as the District Manager in 2003.

Anne was a member of the Fact&nbsp;United&nbsp;Methodist Church and was a very active member of the Methodist Ladies Aid. Anne also&nbsp;drove&nbsp;the school bus for Clay Center&nbsp;Public&nbsp;Schools for a few years. After retirement, she volunteered at the Red Cross &amp; Apollo Towers. Anne&nbsp;also&nbsp;joined a quilting group that would gather weekly.&nbsp;

Anne and Duaine lived on the farm until Duaine passed away in 2003. Anne then moved to Clay Center. She married Stanley Pfizenmaier in 2011.&nbsp;

She is survived by her&nbsp;2nd husband, Stanley Pfizenmaier,&nbsp;Sr.;&nbsp;Son,&nbsp;Gary&nbsp;Thompson&nbsp;and his wife, Karen of Lindsborg;&nbsp;Son, Terry Thompson&nbsp;and wife, Laura of&nbsp;Talala, OK.;&nbsp;5&nbsp;grandchildren&nbsp;and 10 great-grandchildren.&nbsp;

Anne was&nbsp;also&nbsp;preceded in death by her parents, Helen &amp; Marvin&nbsp;Stevenson;&nbsp;brothers Daniel and Lee Stevenson,&nbsp;and&nbsp;great-granddaughter Abigail Hecker.

Visitation&nbsp;will be held on Sunday,&nbsp;October 15, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at&nbsp;the&nbsp;Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home&nbsp;in Clay Center, Kansas.&nbsp;

A&nbsp;Celebration of Anne’s life will be&nbsp;held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday,&nbsp;October 16, at&nbsp;the&nbsp;Clay Center&nbsp;United&nbsp;Methodist Church.&nbsp;

Interment will be in the&nbsp;Parallel Cemetery&nbsp;in Washington County, Kansas.

Mary&nbsp;was born to Jack and Margaret&nbsp;Hoover, the 10th&nbsp;of 11 children.&nbsp;&nbsp;She married Alan Ecton in 1972.&nbsp;&nbsp;She and Alan along with their 2 daughters were most notably known for running the Sno Wizard shaved ice for many years.&nbsp;&nbsp;She is survived by her daughters Julie Ecton and Layla Peppers, husband Lyn Peppers and 3 grandchildren Lexy Apel (husband Tyler), Logan Peppers (spouse Alex), and Alyssa Peppers. Her sisters Judy Heimer (husband Bob) and Sharon Fleming (husband Bill) and her brother Glenn&nbsp;Hoover&nbsp;(wife Joyce) as well as lots of nieces and nephews. She was preceeded in death by her parents, her husband and 7 siblings Ronald&nbsp;Hoover, Donald&nbsp;Hoover, Cecil&nbsp;Hoover, Gerald&nbsp;Hoover, Shirley Gillespie, Norma Lentz, and Jean Isaacson.&nbsp;&nbsp;After Alan’s passing in 2007,&nbsp;Mary&nbsp;shared her life with Pat Hoskins.&nbsp;&nbsp;She will be missed by Pat, his sons, Jake and Sam (wife Amber) and granddaughters Aubri, Summer, and Wren.&nbsp;&nbsp;Mary&nbsp;loved to travel particularly to Florida and loved life!

Her family will be celebrating her life and saying their final good-byes at a public memorial service on Monday October 9th&nbsp;at 11:00 a.m. at the Lodge on top of Indian Rock (one of her favorite places).

Hunter Harlow Scott Sammons, 25, of Salina, passed away Friday, September 29th, 2023.

Hunter was born in Lancaster, California on April 28, 1998, a son of Alison Denise (Engberg) Sammons, of Missouri and Bobby Dean Sammons, of Salina, Kansas. On January 17, 2020, Hunter married Daphne Ignacio in Ft. Riley, Kansas.Hunter served in the United States Army.

Survivors include his wife, Daphne, of the home; three sisters, Beth Sammons, Audrey Sammons, Heather Sammons; five brothers, Brandon Wood, Dean Wood, Zachary Sammons, Sean Sammons, and Eric Sammons.Hunter donated his body to science and will be cremated.

A Celebration of Life will be at 3:00 PM, Friday, October 6th at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home and Crematory in Salina with Pastor John Huseman officiating.

Gaylon was born on September 29, 1954, in Goessel, KS, the son of Charles Lee and Jenny Lee (Unruh) Plenert.&nbsp; He attended school in Hillsboro, KS.

He was a member of Wheatland Baptist Church, McPherson and was an artist for The Clayworks at Disability Supports.

Survivors include: his mother, Jenny Plenert of McPherson, KS; a brother, Greg (Robin) Plenert of Hillsboro, KS; nephew, Dusten (Danielle) Plenert of Hillsboro, KS; niece, Callie Plenert of Hillsboro, KS; numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles; and dear friend, Nancy (Gene) Shockley of Wichita, KS.

Gaylon will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at Wheatland Baptist Church, McPherson, with Pastor Brian Ernsberger officiating.&nbsp; Burial will follow at Haven of Rest Cemetery, Hillsboro.

Linda Louise (Hawkins) Miller, 75, of McPherson, KS, a beloved mother, grandmother, and dedicated teacher, peacefully passed away on Friday, September 29, 2023, surrounded by family at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, MO.&nbsp; She touched the lives of many with her kindness and love.

Born on February 24, 1948, in Carrollton, MO, to Lawrence Lee and Louise (Sanger) Hawkins, Linda dedicated her life to nurturing the minds of countless students during her career as a teacher.&nbsp; Her commitment to education not only left a lasting impact on her students but also served as an inspiration to her four children, whom she lovingly raised.&nbsp;

Linda graduated from Stet County High School in Missouri and McPherson College.&nbsp; She was a Home Economics teacher, daycare provider, staff trainer at MCDS, and CMA and CNA at The Cedars.

Outside the classroom, Linda found solace in her garden and the art of sewing.&nbsp; Her green thumb brought color and joy to any yard she could, reflecting her love for nature’s beauty.&nbsp; Her skillful hands created countless cherished garments, quilts, and crafts, leaving a legacy of her creative spirit.&nbsp; Music filled Linda’s home, as she graced the piano with her talent.&nbsp; She had a deep appreciation for classical music, and enjoyed singing at her local Church of the Brethren.&nbsp; Her love for music has been passed down through the generations, leaving an indelible mark on her family.&nbsp; Linda was not only a devoted mother but also a loving grandmother to five adoring grandchildren.&nbsp; Her warmth and wisdom will live on in their hearts as they carry her legacy forward.&nbsp; She leaves behind cherished memories and a profound impact on her family, friends, and the countless lives she touched throughout her life.

Linda Miller will be remembered for her unwavering love, her dedication to education, her green thumb, her musical talents, and her enduring presence in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;

Leon Glen Prester, 80, of Salina, passed away Saturday, September 30th, 2023.

Leon was born in Lucas, Kansas on February 4, 1943, a son of Lilly Mae (Heinze) and Alexander Prester. He served in the United States Army.

Survivors include daughter, Monica Jordan (Chris), of Salina; son, Michael Prester (Angie), of Salina; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sister, Pat Kaufman; two brothers, Larry Prester, and Terry Prester.He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Helen Prester; brother, LeRoy Prester, Gary Prester; and sister, Mary Bickleman.

Jerry D. Borgstadter, dedicated husband and father, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at the age of 88. He was in the care of the Rush County Memorial Hospital Intermediate Swing Bed Unit in La Crosse, Kansas.

Jerry was born January 30, 1935, in Lincoln, Kansas. He was the son of George Herman and Bertha Mae (Shafer) Borgstadter. He graduated from Lincoln County High School in 1952.

In August 1963, he married Nina Kohls. They later divorced. On February 14, 2004, he married Dolores (Solomon) Pokorny at the First United Methodist Church in La Crosse, Kansas. This union brought joy and companionship to his life, and they shared many experiences and memories together.

He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life of hunting and fishing with friends, Edward Fischer and Bob Cooper. In addition to his love for the outdoors, he was a skilled pool player, and spent time teaching trick shots to others. Jerry enjoyed football, especially K-State football and the local high school team. He also enjoyed spending time in his shop creating special woodworking projects for family and friends.

Professionally, Jerry was a senior engineering technician and land surveyor, a career that reflected his attention to detail. During the 43 years of his career, he traveled the western part of Kansas creating many lifelong friendships.

Charles “Charlie” E. Shults, Sr.,&nbsp; 76, of Chanute, KS and formerly of McPherson, KS, peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023, surrounded by his family at the Kansas Heart Hospital, Wichita.&nbsp;

Charlie was born on January 12, 1947, in Iola, KS, the son of William Harold and Alean Katherine (Slife) Shults.&nbsp; He graduated from Humboldt High School in 1965.&nbsp; He was a United States Marine, serving from 1965 until 1968.&nbsp; He served in Vietnam from 1966 to 1967.&nbsp; Charlie was united in marriage to Katherine Lynne Snell on October 11, 1965, in Iola, KS.&nbsp;

He was the former plant manager for KIT Road Ranger, McPherson and for NuWay Industries, Chanute for 40 years, retiring in 2020.

Charlie was an avid fisherman and camper.&nbsp; He loved to take all the grandchildren and great-grandchildren with him.&nbsp; Dad was the most soft-spoken man, but not to fool you, he had a funny way of pointing out the humor in every situation.&nbsp; Dad was the kindest, gentlest man with a great sense of fairness.

Dad always had a big bear hug and an “I Love You” whenever leaving.&nbsp; He will be greatly missed.&nbsp; Rest in peace, Love you Dad!

Charles “Charlie” E. Shults

Larry Eugene Potter was born April 5, 1938, at home in Clarinda, Iowa, in the middle of a spring blizzard. He was the eldest of four children born to Samuel G. and Inez M. (Carson) Potter. He attended Clarinda schools until the family moved to Denver, CO, where he graduated from high school in 1956. However, he always considered himself an Iowan first, and specifically a Clarindan. He kept up with his former high school classmates and attended several reunions.

Larry was raised in the Free Methodist church, his grandfather J.L. Potter being a minister in that denomination. Larry cherished his Christian heritage and trusted Christ as his savior at a young age.

After high school, Larry came to McPherson, KS to attend Central College, now Central Christian College of Kansas. While a student there, he met Judith Wiggins who would later become his wife. They married on June 19, 1959, and after both had graduated from Central, the couple moved to Denver where Larry worked with his father, a painting contractor. However, after their first child was born, Larry and Judy decided Denver wasn’t where they wanted to raise their family, so they moved back to McPherson in 1962. He and Judy were the parents of four children: Susan, Sarah, Bradley, and Eric. Larry worked diligently to provide for his family and was especially proud of the home he and Judy built which had plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, a huge yard and garden, and a field out back where the kids and grandkids played. It was always very important to him to have a good place for his family.

In addition to contract painting and wallpapering, which he did most of his life in conjunction with other jobs, Larry owned his own carpet cleaning business as a young man and was a supervisor at Johns-Manville for many years. He retired from all employment in 2005. He was a dedicated and dependable employee and believed in doing a job well. Many houses and businesses in McPherson and the surrounding area benefitted from his careful work, and he really enjoyed getting to know his customers. He passed on his work ethic and sense of responsibility to his children.

Larry had many interests, enjoyed hunting and doing his own ammunition reloading, had a huge yearly garden providing produce for the family and employing his children in weeding and harvesting. In retirement, Larry continued to garden until age and ill health forced him to stop. However, he always looked forward to going to plant nurseries and loved to go to McPherson Farmer’s Market. He loved to share his interests with others, and his children and grandchildren benefitted from his enthusiasm for gardening in particular. Larry loved to watch sports, especially the McPherson Bullpups, Chiefs, and Royals. He was fascinated by airplanes and took flying lessons as a young man. Larry also enjoyed narrow gauge railroad, taking several trips on the Durango and Silverton line. He loved visiting Colorado and would take the family on a camping vacation every summer. As well, Larry loved to sing and participated for several years in the McPherson Barbershop Chorus, singing the baritone part in their quartet the Mac Foursome, and later participated in the McPherson Chorale. He was for many years a faithful member of the choir at the McPherson Free Methodist Church, where he also taught Sunday School, served on various committees, and did a lot of volunteer painting and other building upkeep.&nbsp;

Larry especially loved being a grandfather and enjoyed supporting his grandchildren in their scholastic and extracurricular endeavors. In recent years, he and Judy were blessed by the addition of several great-grandchildren to the family.&nbsp;

Larry Eugene Potter passed into life eternal on September 30, 2023, at Pleasant View Home, Inman, KS at the age of 85. He was predeceased by his parents, his beloved wife, Judith, sister and brother-in-law Ruth and Jerry Land, brothers Richard and Paul Potter, grandson Christopher Shepard, and nephew Wesley Black. He is survived by brother-in-law Charles Wiggins (Norane) of Springer, NM; his children Susan Shepard (David) of McPherson, KS, Sarah Voth (Joel) of Wenatchee, WA, Bradley Potter (Lisa) of Omaha, NE, and Eric Potter (Amanda) of McPherson; grandchildren Adam Shepard (Emily), Dylan Shepard, Michael Voth (Margaret), Brian Voth (Christina), Katie Grinde (Seth), Gregory Voth, Andrew Potter (Bailey), Lucas Potter (Laura), Benjamin Potter, Jacob Hughes (River), Brooklyn Hughes, Tessa Potter, Emma George, Alyvia George, Kason George, and Adryn Potter, great-grandchildren Adeline, Charlotte, and Evangeline Shepard with one more expected soon, Isaac, Aaron, Levi, Sophia and Michael Nectarios Voth, Celia-Rose and Ira Potter, and Jax Potter. Larry Eugene Potter 

James Dean Anderson Sr, 82 of Clyde, KS passed away on September 30, 2023, peacefully at his home. Jim was born in Belleville, KS on January 16, 1941, to Dean B and Edith (James) Anderson. Jim grew up on a farm near Agenda, KS. He graduated from Agenda High School in 1958 and continued his education at Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina, KS with a degree in education. He married and later divorced and to this union four children were born.

Jim coached sports programs and taught in several different school districts. The most notable was at Clyde, KS school district which became Clifton-Clyde when the two towns consolidated. He retired from Clifton-Clyde USD 224 in 1995. Jim farmed on the Anderson homestead and was also a member of the Masonic Lodge of Courtland, KS. He married Doreen Junek on March 28, 1998, and gained a stepson, Adam Junek. He enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents Dean and Edith; brother John Anderson; sister-in-law Karen Anderson; father-in-law David Hughes; brother-in-law Richard Hughes; and nephew Jared Hughes.

Jim is survived by his wife Doreen Anderson, of the home; stepson Adam Junek (Emily) and step-grandsons Jensen and Hayes Junek, Cuba, KS; brother Dale Anderson, Culpeper, VA; sister Denise L’Ecuyer (Steve), Manhattan KS; mother-in-law Alice Hughes, Clyde, KS; sister-in-law Debbie Czapanskiy (Bill), Clyde, KS; brother-in-law David Hughes II (Patti), Lampe, MO; four children from previous marriage: Michelle Walling (Randy), Washington, KS; Amy Blackwood (DJ), Westmoreland, KS; Angela Girard (John), Osborne, KS; and Jim Jr, Topeka, KS; and several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. &nbsp;Jim is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Jim has chosen cremation. Visitation will be at Chaput Mortuary in Clyde, KS on Wednesday October 04, 2023, from 1:00p-8:00p with family greeting friends from 6:00p-8:00p. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, October 5, 2023 at The Branch in Clyde.

Burial will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery in Clyde, KS.

Ronald J. Sommerfeld, 81, of Canton, KS, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at The Cedars, McPherson.&nbsp; He was a tool &amp; die machinist for 28 years at CertainTeed Plastics and also worked at &nbsp;Kansas Jack for 12 years.&nbsp; After retirement, he worked on a part-time basis at Viega.&nbsp;

Ron was born on April 27, 1942, in Goessel, KS, the son of Lester Ralph and Kathrina (Janzen) Sommerfeld.&nbsp; He served in the United States Army and did a tour of duty in Vietnam. &nbsp;&nbsp;

He attended and served at the First Baptist Church in Canton as deacon, trustee, Sunday school superintendent, Sunday school teacher, sound technician, and also helped with maintenance, mowing, and snow removal.

Ron had a love for cats, cars, and Cub Cadet tractors.&nbsp; He belonged to the Hutchinson Corvette Club.&nbsp; Ron truly loved his family and always looked forward to getting together with them.&nbsp; He especially enjoyed interacting with his great-nephews and watching them play.

Survivors include: sister-in-law, Kathy Sommerfeld of Lindsborg, KS; nieces &amp; nephews, David (Connie) Sommerfeld of Assaria, KS, Mark Sommerfeld of Brookville, KS, Lisa (Kevin) Schmidt of Olathe, KS, and Lori (Jeff) Tector of Galva, KS; and many great-nieces &amp; great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Robert Sommerfeld, and a sister, Melvia Eberle.

The funeral service will be held&nbsp;at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 6, 2023, at First Baptist Church, Canton.&nbsp; The family will receive friends&nbsp;from 10:00 AM&nbsp;until service time at the church on Friday.&nbsp; Burial with Military Honors will follow the service at the Canton Township Cemetery.

Shirley Ann Isin, 81, of Salina, Kansas, passed away with her family by her side, on Sunday, September 24, 2023. She was born on July 11, 1942, in Salina to Teddy and Lola (Rupe) Pihl. She graduated from Kansas Wesleyan University in 1964 with a degree in Elementary Education.&nbsp; She was a Preschool and Kindergarten teacher for 41 years, even having her daughter, Kristina, in one of her Kindergarten classes. She was a member of the Salina First United Methodist Church for 40 years, and a member of the P.E.O. Chapter DL sisterhood also in Salina.

Survivors include her husband, Kutlu Jon Isin, whom she married at the Church of Christ in St. John, Kansas, and they had just celebrated their 50th anniversary on April 21st of this year. She is also survived by her daughter, Kristina Isin Litchman (David); and the light of her eyes, her grandson, Elliot Litchman. Also surviving is her dear niece, Sandy Reidelberger (John) of Smolan, Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Virgil Pihl.

Family will receive friends on Friday, September 29th, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, September 30th at Salina First United Methodist Church, 122 N. 8th St., Salina.

James Henry Goudy, Jr, 61, passed away on September 05, 2023 at home in Salina, KS.

James was born on October 01, 1961 in Riverside, CA to parents James Henry Goudy, Sr. and Judith Rose (Larrabee) Parker.

James was working as a Auto Body Restoration Technician. He loved camping, fishing and drag raced in Wichita for 12 years. He also worked at Russell's and Bayard's Cafe. He was a people person and would strike up a conversation with anybody. He also enjoyed collecting Dream Catchers and watching his favorite football teams, the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos. One of his favorite sayings was "cool, cool to the cool, cool."

Preceded in death by Judith (Larrabee) Parker (Mother), James Goudy, Sr. (Father), Julia Baker (Sister), Debra Doerfler (Sister), Melissa Lilley (Niece).

Claudine Harriette Ashcraft, 90, passed away on September 23, 2023 at Holiday Resort Health &amp; Rehab Center in Salina, KS.

Claudine was born on June 27, 1933 in Ottawa County, KS to parents Harry and Jessie Mable Nolf Merriman.

Her and Dick had a lot of fun camping, traveling and getting together with their friends. Later, Claudine enjoyed her part time job at Arbor Court, loved going to the Senior Center to play cards with her friends, reading books, doing word search puzzles, an occasional trip to the casino and watching Wheel of Fortune on TV. She was a life member of the United Methodist Church of the Cross and always looked forward to the visits from family and friends.

Morton Kenneth Nikkel, 92, died Tuesday, September 26, 2023. Mr. Nikkel was born 5 miles northeast of Corn, Oklahoma on December 24, 1930. the son of Jacob E. and Martha (Koch) Nikkel. His early childhood was spent living on a farm near Corn and Weatherford, Oklahoma, where he also attended the first three years of school.

In March 1940, the Nikkel family moved to Wilson County, Kansas near Lafontaine, where they lived during the years of WWII. In the autumn of 1946, the family moved to Arkansas City, Kansas. Here Morton attended the city high school for his sophomore and junior years.&nbsp;In January 1947, he surrendered to the wooing of the Holy Spirit and received Jesus Christ as his Savior.After serving thousands of patients from 36 different states, with Mrs. Nikkel working as his receptionist and clinic assistant, the practice was sold and they retired in 1991. Not long after becoming a Christian, the desire for a Christ centered education became important to Morton as he chose to go back to Corn, Oklahoma to attend Corn Bible Academy for his senior year of high school, graduating in 1949.During that wonderful senior year, Morton joined his uncle and aunt, Meno and Clara Nikkel in their worship at the Emmanuel Baptist Church, near Weatherford, Oklahoma. It was here that God led him to the lovely, young lady, Doris Lorene Sawatzky, who would become the love of his life.&nbsp;War was raging in Korea in 1950, so Morton chose to serve his country as a member of the United States Air Force.&nbsp; He enlisted on Jan 3, 1951 and received specialized training as a B-29 bomber airplane and engine mechanic. He served in Texas and Colorado in his early years with the Air Force.&nbsp;On March 1st, 1952, Morton and Doris Lorene were united in marriage in Wichita Falls, Texas. The Lord blessed this union with two daughters, Corliss Marlene and Cheryl Lynn. As a joint family, the Nikkels lived in Denver, Colorado, Wichita Falls, Texas, and briefly at Weatherford, Oklahoma, where Morton left his family in January 1956, when he departed for duty in England. So, the family was reunited in Peterborough, England, where they lived until he was transferred to Great Falls, Montana in August 1958.In December 1960, Morton was honorably discharged from the Air Force and the family moved to Missouri, where he went to Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City. Upon graduation, a chiropractic practice was established in Clay Center, Kansas.&nbsp;

Larry C. Doud, 79, Minneapolis, died Tuesday, September 26, 2023, in Salina.&nbsp; He was born November 30, 1943, in Salina to Carl and Marie (Kopf) Doud.&nbsp; He will receive just reward in the hereafter.

Larry retired from being a District Soil Conservationist and he was a lifelong farmer.

He is survived by his wife, Lucia, of Minneapolis; daughters, Patricia Minard and her husband, Joe of Cheney and Catherine Doud of Concordia; brother, B. Leon Doud and his wife, Janet of St. Paul, MN; grandchildren, Mike Minard and his wife, Kathy of Leavenworth, Jenny Crawford and her husband, John of Golden, CO, and Valerie Green and her husband, Lonnie of Denver, CO; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M., Monday, October 2 at Wilson Family Funeral Home, 405 Argyle Ave., Minneapolis, KS 67467.&nbsp; Memorial services will begin at 11:00 A.M.&nbsp; Burial will be at a later date in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Brookville. Marvin LeRoy “Swede” Norstrom, 79, of McPherson, KS, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.&nbsp;

LeRoy was born on November 8, 1943, in McPherson, KS, the son of Milton and Pearl (Nash) Norstrom.&nbsp; He graduated from Roxbury High School in 1961. LeRoy was a resident of McPherson since 1969, moving from Roxbury, KS.&nbsp; He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam era.&nbsp; He retired from the NCRA Refinery where he worked as a welder.

On February 22, 1969, he married Jeanne Kay Grauerholz at the First United Methodist Church in McPherson.&nbsp; They were blessed with two children, Starla Joy and Christopher DeMonte.&nbsp; Jeanne preceded LeRoy in death on March 9, 2018.

Survivors include daughter, Starla Wicker and husband, Brian, of Glendale, AZ; son, Chris Norstrom of Phoenix, AZ; three grandchildren, Sydney and Mason Wicker and Crystian Norstrom; brother, Kenneth Norstrom of McPherson, KS; sister-in-law, Sherry Ray of Bedford, IN; nieces, Brenda Becker and husband, Gene, of Wichita, KS, Angie Cundiff and husband, Tony, of Bedford, IN, and Shawna Pemberton and husband, P.I., of Mitchell, IN; and several great and great-great nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; parents-in-law, Rex &amp; Iris Grauerholz; sister-in-law, Fern Norstrom; and brother-in-law, Bob Ray.

A private family graveside service will be held at&nbsp;the McPherson Cemetery.&nbsp;

Susan Ann Doolittle, 64, passed away on September 17, 2023 at Salina Regional Health Center in Salina, KS.

Susan was born on September 17, 1959 in Paterson, NJ to parents John Adolph and Gloria Evelyn (Smith) Lillman.

Susan was a kind, caring, and generous person with a strong faith in God. She was always happy to help others. Holidays in particular were a special time for Susan. You could always count on her setting an extra plate out at her table in case you had nowhere else to go. She was known as "the kind woman who took in stray people and stray animals". Susan was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend, and loved animals. Her family was her greatest joy and she always went out of her way to make sure they were taken care of and they always felt loved. In her spare time she enjoyed putting puzzles together, reading, crocheting, playing cards, fishing, gardening, and taking walks.

She was preceded in death by Gloria Lillman (Mother), John Lillman (Father), Loretta Robbins (Daughter).

Susan is survived by her husband Alton J. Doolittle, Jr.; Children Joyce Bowers and spouse Tom of Minneapolis, KS, Alton J. Doolittle, III of Salina, KS; 8 Grandchildren: Crystal Anderson and her husband Morgan Anderson, Joshua Bowers, Zackary Huurre, Meshick Bowers, Erik Bowers, Tala Robbins, Gabrielle Bowers, and Susan Bowers. Patricia “Pat” L. Nippert, 71, of McPherson, KS, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, surrounded by her family at her home in Manhattan, KS.&nbsp; Pat was a lifelong Reading Specialist for multiple educational grade levels and retired from McPherson EMS.&nbsp;

Pat was born on September 26, 1951, in Wichita, KS, the daughter of Gail Edward and Marjorie Emma (Jenetzky) Stauffer.&nbsp; She graduated from Wichita North High School, McPherson College (BS), and Wichita State University (MS).&nbsp; On December 18, 1971, Pat was united in marriage to Ward A. Nippert in Wichita, KS.&nbsp; This union was blessed with two children, Jesse and Heather.

She was a member of the First Christian Church, where she was the librarian and treasurer for the Ruth Heimer DWF.&nbsp; She was also a member of the Kansas Reading Association, KSEMS Association, and Kansas Good Sam’s, where she was the treasurer of the state organization.&nbsp; She volunteered at Save N Share, McPherson Museum, and McPherson Emergency Medical Service (prior to having a paid position).&nbsp;

Survivors include her loving husband of 51 years, Ward Nippert of Manhattan, KS; son, Jesse (Anna) Nippert of Wamego, KS; daughter, Heather (Daniel) Dannahower of Fort Collins, CO; six grandchildren, Kalea Nippert, Miah Dannahower, Kyra Nippert, William Dannahower, Lucia Nippert, and Livia Nippert; and a brother, James Stauffer of Elkhorn, NE.

A time of remembrance (come &amp; go) will take place from 3:00 p.m. until 5 p.m., with a time of sharing occurring at 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at Stockham Family Funeral Home.&nbsp; A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, October 2, at the First Christian Church, McPherson, with Pastor Lynn Scott officiating.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Warren "Wes" Eugene Spratlen, 79, passed away on September 12, 2023 in Salina, KS.

Wes was born on November 14, 1943 in Marysville, CA to parents James Harold Spratlen and Geneva Jane (LaCoe) Sands.

Wes was a Lance Corporal in the Marine Corps and Marine Corps Reserve.

Wes worked as a roofer and a builder and studied Diesel Technology at Salina Area Technical College.
