Sherry Allton passed into gods graces, on Thursday, November 28, 2023 after a twelve year battle with COPD. Sherry will be remembered as a survivor to many, for overcoming her yearlong battle with lung cancer, she was diagnosed back in November of 2021.
Vivacious throughout her 75 year life, Sherry was born on July 9th, of 1948 in Wichita KS to her parents Ivan Marion and Lenora Fern Roberts McCully. She went on to get her CNA license in June of 2006. She also worked at the Eisenhower Museum in Abilene. She then became a manager at Alco for the fuel center.
Sherry also had an undying love for professional wrestling, she attended several wrestling events in her life, as well as getting to meet some wrestlers along the way. At one event she screamed so loud, that she grabbed the attention of Hulk Hogan, leaving her with a smile and a story to tell. She was a dreamer, she longed for the day that she would win the lottery, but funny enough, she never even played. Sherry had one of the most contagious laughs, when she laughed you couldn’t help but return the gesture.
Sherry was survived by many loving individuals, including children William Hulse of Assaria KS, Robert Hulse of independence, MO; others: Joshua Matlock (grandson), Dalton Hulse (grandson), Johnathon Hulse (grandson), Harley Hulse (granddaughter), Brandon Hulse (grandson) Keaton Hulse (grandson), and 3 great grandchildren Liberty, Able, and Gemma Matlock
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 9, 2023 in the Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel. Inurnment of her cremains will take place privately at a later time.
