Suspect jailed for alleged stabbing in Junction City

GEARY COUNTY — Law enforcement authorities are investigating a stabbing and have a suspect in custody.

Just after 7 a.m. Sunday, police were called to the 400 block of W 18th Street in Junction City after a report of someone screaming for help, according to a media release.

First responders found 31-year-old Rollin McClam with a possible stab wound. EMS transported him to Geary Community Hospital and he was later transferred to Stormont Vail in Topeka due to the extent of his injuries.  

 Alexius B. Mims, 47, is in custody in Geary County on requested charges  attempted first degree murder and aggravated battery, according to online jail records.
