Thursday evening, August 8, a 49-year-old Salina woman called the Salina Police Department (SPD) and reported that someone she knew allegedly hit her.

SPD Capt. James Feldman said when officers arrived in the 1000 block fo Noble Court, the victim reported that her partner, 42-year-old Sean Carico of Salina, allegedly punched her in the face multiple times and also strangled her.

"She did have multiple face injuries," Feldman said. "He [Carico] was taken into custody. While the officers were attempting to walk him to the vehicle, Carico attempted to pull away from them. He was controlled and taken to jail." 

SPD officers booked Carico into the Saline County Jail on charges of aggravated domestic battery and interference with law enforcement.

SPD arrest Salina man for alleged domestic battery
