Terence E. Carlson, 102, passed away on June 30, 2024, just a month short of his 103rd birthday, at Sunflower Terrace in Lindsborg. Terence was born on August 03, 1921 in Lindsborg to the late Abel W. and Ellen V. (Nilson) Carlson.

Terence earned a bachelor's degree and was a World War II veteran who served in the United States Navy. He was a long time farmer in the Lindsborg area. On May 5, 1945 he married Margaret Richards at Marquette, KS. He was also an active member of the Lindsborg Evangelical Covenant Church.

Terence is survived by his daughters: Marsha Wilson of Overland Park, KS, Rachel Carlson (Aaron) of Loveland, CO, Miriam Carlson (Patrick Crockett) of Lindsborg, and Rita Shultz (Craig) of Wichita, KS; son-in-law: John Martin (Jolene); daughter-in-law: Jane Allison (Duane), as well as 14 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Terence is preceded in death by his parents; wife: Margaret; daughter: Mary L. Martin; son Daniel G. Carlson; son-in-law: James Wilson; infant brother: Arnold Carlson; brother: Homer Carlson and wife Margaret; sisters: Helen Watts and husband Herb and Eunice Peterson and husband Norris; grandson: Brian Shultz; and great-grandson: Caden Carlson.

Visitation will be Friday, July 5, 2024 from 5pm to 7pm at Crick-Christian Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 6, 2024, 1:00pm at Lindsborg Evangelical Covenant Church with Pastor Jeff Waugh officiating. Burial will follow at Smoky Hill Cemetery in Lindsborg, KS.

Beatrice M. Ramsey, 77, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2024 in Salina, KS. She was born November 10, 1946 in Woodward, OK to Hugh and Anabel (Brown) Isbell. Beatrice married Kenneth Bailey in Vici, OK on August 23, 1964. She later married Jack Ramsey in Winfield, KS on September 10, 1983. She was a bookkeeper retiring from Furniture Factory Outlet. Living in Ellsworth since 2013, she was a member of the Smoky Hill Baptist Church and spent many hours working at the Ellsworth County Historical Society museum complex.

Beatrice is survived by her sons, Wade Bailey of Wichita, KS and Dale Bailey (Christi) of Ellsworth; daughter Karla Bailey of Gillette, WI; stepdaughters, Jackie Brown (Ron) of Ponca City, OK and Shelley Overbey (James) of Fayetteville, AR; 12 grandchildren and many great grandchildren; and brothers, Mike Isbell of Gillette, WI and Patrick Isbell of Riverside, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband Kenneth; second husband Jack; brothers, DeWayne Isbell and Darrell Isbell; sister Rose Bowman; and grandson Jordan Guesman.

Memorial service: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 6, 2024 at Parsons Funeral Home of Ellsworth. Graveside services will be at the Kaw City, OK cemetery at a later date.

Dennis Willard Scoville, 78, of Salina, Kan., passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2024. He was born on June 22, 1946, in Salina, to Charles and Patricia (Nelson) Scoville.

Dennis was raised in Smolan, Kan., and graduated from Lindsborg High School in 1964. He married Pamela Albert on August 1, 1970, in Salina, and that same year started his career with the Salina Fire Department, retiring in 2001 as a firefighter engineer. Dennis also was an owner/operator of D&amp;P Auto Repair in Salina for many years. In his spare time, he was a hobby pilot and an avid car enthusiast and loved outdoor sports and hunting.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Pamela; children, Chad Scoville (Melissa) and Jami Augustine (Jason); grandchildren, Colston, Porter, Rogan, and Maclaren Scoville, and Drake and Cali Augustine; sisters, Donna Smith and Patty Basgall (Dave); and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Duane Scoville; and niece, Jennifer Bartunek.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 5, 2024, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina, with burial at the Smolan Cemetery, Smolan. A reception will directly follow at the Öl Stuga,&nbsp;119 S Main St,&nbsp;Lindsborg, Kan.

Memorials may be made to Interim Hospice or Salina Senior Center, care of Ryan Mortuary.

Dennis W. Scoville

Delma (Meall) Hitchcock April 17, 1934 ~ June 26, 2024

Delma was born April 17, 1934 at Beloit, Kansas to David Pace and Anna Moxter Meall. She was raised on the family farm on the Solomon River southeast of Cawker City, Kansas that had been homesteaded in 1871 by her great grandparents. After completing the elementary grades at Spring Creek country school, she attended Cawker City High School – graduating in 1952.

In the fall of 1952, Delma started college at Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina, Kansas. She graduated in 1957 with a degree in elementary education, including two years teaching on a “60-hour” teaching certificate. She was active in campus life and was honored as Miss Wesleyan her senior year. She graduated summa cum laude.

At Kansas Wesleyan, Delma met her husband Bert Hitchcock of Burlington, Colorado and made a circle of lifelong friends.&nbsp; Wesleyan events remained a focal point and the campus a gathering place for Bert and Delma and their college friends for the rest of their lives.&nbsp;

Delma married Albert E. “Bert” Hitchcock at Cawker City in 1956 and they shared fifty-six years of marriage until his death in 2012. They began their careers at Oakley, Kansas in 1957 and welcomed three children – Steve, Teri, and Jodi – during their time there. Delma taught second grade at Oakley until the arrival of her children and Bert was the junior high principal. The family moved to Ashland and then Russell, where the Hitchcock kids all graduated. At Russell, Delma was a reading specialist at Bickerdyke Elementary School for several years. The couple then moved to Ellsworth and Baldwin City where Bert served as superintendent in those districts and they retired in Baldwin City.

Delma was a lifelong active member of the United Methodist Church and served in various offices in the congregation and United Methodist Women. She was active in community groups in every community, most notably P.E.O., where she was a member for over 50 years. She also sewed over one hundred Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls for children of family and friends over the years. In retirement, she researched and preserved family history and genealogy.

She is survived by her children; Steve Hitchcock, Baldwin City, Teri Tankel (Ron), Overland Park, and Jodi Hitchcock, Lawrence, and grandchildren Jordan Ibarra (Joe), Merriam, and Sam Tankel, Denver. She is also survived by her brother Bryan Meall (Dee), Minneapolis, Kansas, niece Dani Walters (Chris), Shawnee, Kansas, nephew David Meall, Brooklyn, New York and several nieces and nephews on the Hitchcock side of the family.

A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church of Baldwin City on Saturday July 13 at 11 a.m. with a visitation at 10 a.m.&nbsp; Inurnment will be at Prairie Grove Cemetery in Cawker City, Kansas on a later date.

The family would like to thank the Visiting Nurses and Delma’s friends, especially Katie Skinner and Dallas Merritt for their help and comfort these past few weeks.

Merle Gene Walker January 29, 1945 ~&nbsp;July 2, 2024

Merle Gene Walker, 79, of Marquette, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, July 2nd, 2024. Merle was born in Salina, Kansas on January 29, 1945, a son of Charleen Anna (Mohler) Miller and Donald LeRoy Walker.

He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1965 - 1969 on the USS Repose in Vietnam as a Helmsman.

He held many jobs during his lifetime but spent the majority of his career at Westinghouse / Philips Lighting.Merle loved fishing, drag racing, working on cars, boating, camping, watching hummingbirds, was Mr. Fix-it to everyone, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He was very committed to his 47 years of sobriety and was faithful to the God of his understanding and the 12 Step Program. He was passionate about helping others on their path to recovery.

Survivors include his two daughters, Shelly Lien (Chad), of Shawnee, Kansas, Tricia Walker (Mica), of Shawnee, Oklahoma; 2 grandchildren, Kendall Lien, Brayden Lien; brother, Charles Walker, of Wichita, Kansas; and many extended family members and friends.He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bruce, Dean, and his twin brother, Perle.

Visitation will be held 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Monday, July 8th at Carlson - Geisendorf Funeral Home in Salina with family receiving friends from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 9th at Marquette United Methodist Church in Marquette, Kansas.Burial will follow at Marquette Cemetery.

Merle G. Walker

James L. McKale December 10, 1942 ~ June 30, 2024

James Lee “Jim” McKale, age 81 of Abilene, Kansas, died Sunday, June 30, 2024 at Memorial Hospital- Abilene, Kansas.He was born on December 10, 1942 in Clay Center, Kansas, the son of Dale and Nadine (Faulkner) McKale. Jim was raised in the Longford, Kansas community where he graduated from Longford High School in 1960. He continued his education at Hutchinson Community College in Hutchinson, Kansas, followed by barber school in Wichita, Kansas.

On June 3, 1969, Jim’s life changed forever when he married Iris (Teasley) McKale and her four children in Abilene, Kansas. On January 22, 1970, Jim and Iris welcomed a daughter, Terry Lynn. Jim was a foreman at KPL (Riverside) in Abilene, Kansas and later an electrical supervisor at Jeffery Energy Center, St. Marys, Kansas before retiring in 2002 at the age of 59. During Jim’s time of working, he also continued his passion of barbering in the evenings in Longford, Kansas.

Jim had a variety of facets to his life. Jim was a high school “stud” participating in all of the sports, and him, along with his brother’s, built a reputation that followed him into adulthood. Jim continued with sports playing softball, refereeing football, and was known to be an avid golfer. Jim enjoyed being outdoors hunting deer, coyotes, and pheasants and helped in the summertime on the family farm. Family time was something Jim treasured and he was able to make lifelong memories with his grandsons by spending time with them barbering their hair.

Jim was a member of The Elk’s Club of Abilene, Kansas, Pheasant’s Forever, Bethel Methodist Church, Longford, Kansas, and a member of the Country Club both of Wamego, Kansas and Abilene, Kansas.

He is survived by his wife, Iris McKale, of their home in Abilene, Kansas. Also surviving are his children: Randy Hern (Leah), Abilene, Kansas; Danny Hern (Theresa), Abilene, Kansas; Kimberly Manwaring, Burlington, Kansas; and Timberly Bowers (Greg Huston), Abilene, Kansas, 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews also survive.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents: Dale and Nadine McKale; brothers, Bill McKale and Denny McKale; daughter, Terry Lynn McKale-Kolde; grandson, Kirk Manwaring; and infant great-great grandaughter Vera.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30am on Monday, July 8, 2024 at Bethel Methodist Church, Longford, Kansas with Charles Nynakope officiating. The family has chosen cremation but will meet with guests at the luncheon immediately following the service.

McKale December 10, 1942 ~ June 30, 2024 James Lee “Jim” McKale, age 81 of Abilene, Kansas, died Sunday, June 30, 2024 at Memorial Hospital- Abilene, Kansas.He was born on December 10, 1942 in Clay Center, Kansas, the son of Dale and Nadine (Faulkner) McKale. Jim was raised in the Longford, Kansas community where he graduated from Longford High School in 1960. He continued his education at Hutchinson Community College in Hutchinson, Kansas, followed by barber school in Wichita, Kansas.On June 3, 1969, Jim’s life changed forever when he married Iris (Teasley) McKale and her four children in Abilene, Kansas. On January 22, 1970, Jim and Iris welcomed a daughter, Terry Lynn. Jim was a foreman at KPL (Riverside) in Abilene, Kansas and later an electrical supervisor at Jeffery Energy Center, St. Marys, Kansas before retiring in 2002 at the age of 59. During Jim’s time of working, he also continued his passion of barbering in the evenings in Longford, Kansas.Jim had a variety of facets to his life. Jim was a high school “stud” participating in all of the sports, and him, along with his brother’s, built a reputation that followed him into adulthood. Jim continued with sports playing softball, refereeing football, and was known to be an avid golfer. Jim enjoyed being outdoors hunting deer, coyotes, and pheasants and helped in the summertime on the family farm. Family time was something Jim treasured and he was able to make lifelong memories with his grandsons by spending time with them barbering their hair.Jim was a member of The Elk’s Club of Abilene, Kansas, Pheasant’s Forever, Bethel Methodist Church, Longford, Kansas, and a member of the Country Club both of Wamego, Kansas and Abilene, Kansas.He is survived by his wife, Iris McKale, of their home in Abilene, Kansas. Also surviving are his children: Randy Hern (Leah), Abilene, Kansas; Danny Hern (Theresa), Abilene, Kansas; Kimberly Manwaring, Burlington, Kansas; and Timberly Bowers (Greg Huston), Abilene, Kansas, 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews also survive.Jim was preceded in death by his parents: Dale and Nadine McKale; brothers, Bill McKale and Denny McKale; daughter, Terry Lynn McKale-Kolde; grandson, Kirk Manwaring; and infant great-great grandaughter Vera.A memorial service will be held at 11:30am on Monday, July 8, 2024 at Bethel Methodist Church, Longford, Kansas with Charles Nynakope officiating. Natalie Dawn Lober- O'Leary was born on March 14, 1988. She grew up in Leavenworth, Kansas and spent the summers with her grandma and family at Camp riding horses. In 2006 she had a beautiful daughter, Shiann, who was the light of her life. After high school, the joined the Army and was stationed in Germany. She married Adam Nichols and the 3 of them lived in Dunnellon, Florida close to the wonderful Nichols family.Years later, she met Chris O'Leary and they were married. They had a tattoo business that Natalie helped to manage. She enjoyed the ocean, her animals, motorcycles, life in Florida and her family and friends. She loved to decorate her home and to cook. She recently added a beautiful Frenchie dog named Queen to her family. She adored Queen and took her with her everywhere.Natalie was caring and trusting and looked for the best in people. She would go out of her way to help a friend in need even if she was struggling.She was visiting Abilene when her husband Chris, passed away in 2020. A few years later, in 2023, her daughter, Shiann tragically passed away.Natalie had a fiery spirit and was very determined when she needed to accomplish something. After her daughter’s death, she moved to Wichita and worked hard to start over when this heartbreaking accident occurred.She was light, love, smart, funny, fierce, and caring. Michael “Buco” Kent Coats, beloved husband, son, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend, passed away at his home on June 27, 2024. He was 60 years old.Born on September 17, 1963, Michael was a hard-working man who dedicated 33 years of his life as a pipe fitter at Oxychem/Vulcan. Michael was known for his strong work ethic and his dedication to providing for his family. When he wasn't working, you could find him fishing, hunting, coaching bitty basketball, cooking his favorite dishes like chili verde, ribs, or manicotti. And never missing a game during college basketball season rooting for the Kansas Jayhawks or his favorite MLB team, the New York Yankees. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. Michael was known for his quirky comments and statements, and was always willing to lend a helping hand to a neighbor or friend. He is survived by his wife Stacey of Whitewater; mother Marilyn Coats of Potwin; Children: Jacob (Ricky) Coats of Wichita, Jaclyn (Andy) Nellans of Burns, Caitlin (William) Mullan of Grass Valley, CA, Quintin (Natasha) McGehee of Valley Center, Margaret Coats of Whitewater; Grandchildren: Silas, Raegan, Amelia, Orion, and Harper; and his sister Pamela (Roger) McQuiston of Potwin. Milly’s life began on August 6, 1929, in Abilene, KS. She was the daughter of Clinton Willet and Cora Leona (Comer) Emig. Milly was a 1947 graduate of Abilene High School and taught in a one-room schoolhouse in her early years. She worked as Administrative Assistant of Student Services at University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita. After retirement, she worked at JoAnn Fabrics in Wichita and later at the Board of Regents in Topeka. Milly was an avid reader, logging thousands of books throughout her lifetime and instilling the love of reading in her children and grandchildren. She had a love for words and learning so crossword puzzles were a favorite pastime and would become group efforts when family gathered. Once she was introduced to counted cross-stitch, she was captivated. If a cross-stitch project was not in progress, she was restless, asking for requests for new projects. She was also an accomplished seamstress, making clothing for children and grandchildren, piecing quilt tops using scraps, and repairing and repurposing what others might have discarded. Milly was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Herington. She is survived by her children Kirby (Cynthia) Schrader of Magnolia, TX; Monte (Denise) Schrader of Midland, TX; Larry (Miyong) Schrader of San Antonio, TX; Vicky (Darrell) Minton of Latimer, KS; Dana (Anna) Schrader of Grimes, IA; Dede (Jeff) Patterson of Latimer, KS and Jenny (Rich Schwabauer) Schrader of Portland, OR; grandchildren Steven Schrader, Heidi (Gray) Gregory, Dylan (Ariel) Schrader, Andrew (Magenta) Schrader, Molly (Jason) Stepp, Kelby Schrader, Bailley Schrader, Ben (Winter) Schrader, Megan (Casey) Rhea, Ryan (Andrea) Glessner, Dustin Glessner, Josh (Brooklyn) Patterson and Kaiti Patterson. Jared Thomas Herpich Vaughn March 24, 1986 ~ June 19, 2024

Jared’s life began on March 24, 1986, in Herington, KS. He was the son of Thomas Vaughn and Lori (Herpich) Hughes. Jared attended Herington High School before entering the United States Army. He served his country as an Army Medic attached to the 1-10 Calvary. Jared’s loving family includes his mother Lori (Art) Hughes of Wichita, daughter Lilith Vaughn of Colorado, and sisters Whitney (Jerod) Larson of Inman and Hayley (Tony) Ferris of Kansas City, and brother, Clayton (Erin) Hughes of Wichita. As well as many uncles, aunts and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father Thomas Vaughn, grandparents, Donald Herpich, Shirley and Lester Harmon and uncle, Gene Herpich.

Jared loved the outdoors, nature and science. As a young boy he loved the water and enjoyed wakeboarding with family and friends. He was an avid skateboarder and ski boarder. Jared and his dad went hunting and fishing on a regular basis as he was growing up, including a fishing trip to Alaska. This followed Jared through his adult life, he loved to fish any spot he could throw in a line. His biggest love in life was his daughter Lily. He cherished every moment he had with her, making art projects, reading together, planting flowers or having a day doing anything Lily requested.

&nbsp;Jared died unexpectedly on Wednesday June 19, 2024, in Collbran, CO. His family will gather with friends on Saturday July 27, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Sunset Hill Cemetery, Herington for his graveside memorial service, all are welcome to attend. Terry L. Wilkinson-Enright, 60, of Baldwin City, KS, formerly of Albany, MO, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at 5:04 p.m. June 24, 2024.&nbsp;

She was born February 28, 1964 in Albany, MO to Charles and Linda (Stephens) Wilkinson.&nbsp;

Terry was a loving caregiver her entire life where she always put others before herself.&nbsp; She taught others to be kind and be caregivers to others with disabilities and to the elderly.&nbsp; She had worked in nursing homes and group homes her entire life.&nbsp; She will forever be known as “Mama T”.

Terry had a love for all animals and the outdoors.&nbsp; She enjoyed camping, horseback riding and most of all, spending time with her family and grandchildren.&nbsp; Her kids and grandchildren were her everything and she was always telling them how proud she was of them.

Surviving is the love of her life, Tim Enright of Baldwin City, KS; her children, Chris (Mary Sue) Novak of Ottumwa, IA, Britta Fish (Daniel Skinner) of Olathe, KS, Cassie (Shane) Pokorney of Stillwater, OK, Jesse Enright of Lawrence, KS, Maggie Enright of Baldwin City, KS, Tyler Enright of Baldwin City, KS, and Tatiana Smith of Gladstone, MO; her grandchildren, Madison Novak, Brantley Novak, and Kaylee Jensen; her parents, Charles (Etta) Wilkinson of Albany, MO and Linda (Ron) Sorensen of Albany, MO; her siblings, Marcy (Tim) Sorensen of Albany, MO, Deanna Hurkman of Albany, MO, Tina (Nathan) Thompson of Smithville, MO, Chuck Wilkinson of Wellington, KS, Beth (Jason) Quigley of Trimble, MO, Robin (Mike) Butterfield of Darlington, MO, Teresa Snead of Fort Scott, KS, and Sandy Sweat of Fort Scott, KS; her dog, Winchester; her granddog, Duke; and many nieces and nephews.&nbsp;

Her body has been cremated and a Celebration of Life service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Hundley-Whaley Extension &amp; Education Center in Albany, Missouri.&nbsp; A private inurnment will be in Old Brick Cemetery in Albany, MO.&nbsp;

Wilkinson-Enright, 60, of Baldwin City, KS, formerly of Albany, MO, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at 5:04 p.m. June 24, 2024.&nbsp;She was born February 28, 1964 in Albany, MO to Charles and Linda (Stephens) Wilkinson.&nbsp;Terry was a loving caregiver her entire life where she always put others before herself.&nbsp; She taught others to be kind and be caregivers to others with disabilities and to the elderly.&nbsp; She had worked in nursing homes and group homes her entire life.&nbsp; She will forever be known as “Mama T”.Terry had a love for all animals and the outdoors.&nbsp; She enjoyed camping, horseback riding and most of all, spending time with her family and grandchildren.&nbsp; Her kids and grandchildren were her everything and she was always telling them how proud she was of them.Surviving is the love of her life, Tim Enright of Baldwin City, KS; her children, Chris (Mary Sue) Novak of Ottumwa, IA, Britta Fish (Daniel Skinner) of Olathe, KS, Cassie (Shane) Pokorney of Stillwater, OK, Jesse Enright of Lawrence, KS, Maggie Enright of Baldwin City, KS, Tyler Enright of Baldwin City, KS, and Tatiana Smith of Gladstone, MO; her grandchildren, Madison Novak, Brantley Novak, and Kaylee Jensen; her parents, Charles (Etta) Wilkinson of Albany, MO and Linda (Ron) Sorensen of Albany, MO; her siblings, Marcy (Tim) Sorensen of Albany, MO, Deanna Hurkman of Albany, MO, Tina (Nathan) Thompson of Smithville, MO, Chuck Wilkinson of Wellington, KS, Beth (Jason) Quigley of Trimble, MO, Robin (Mike) Butterfield of Darlington, MO, Teresa Snead of Fort Scott, KS, and Sandy Sweat of Fort Scott, KS; her dog, Winchester; her granddog, Duke; and many nieces and nephews.&nbsp;Her body has been cremated and a Celebration of Life service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Hundley-Whaley Extension &amp; Education Center in Albany, Missouri.&nbsp; A private inurnment will be in Old Brick Cemetery in Albany, MO.&nbsp;Memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice Kids Camp and sent c/o Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, P.O. Elsie Elizabeth (Bowman) Wray, 88, of Pomona, Kansas died Sunday, June 23, 2024 at her daughter’s home in Pomona, Kansas surrounded by family.

She was born August 9, 1935 in Boones Mill, Virginia the daughter of John and Susie (Beckner) Bowman.&nbsp;

On August 9, 1959, Elsie was united in marriage to Leonard Wray in Boones Mill, VA.&nbsp; They shared 54 years of loving marriage until Leonard’s passing on April 26, 2014.&nbsp;

Elsie was born and grew up on a farm in Franklin County, VA.&nbsp; Upon marriage, she moved to Franklin County, KS and lived with her husband, raising her children on their farm.&nbsp; Elsie was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed working in her beautiful garden and flowers.&nbsp; She could often be found working on some project at her house.&nbsp; She also enjoyed sewing and quilting, especially making her children and grandchildren’s clothes.&nbsp; She confirmed her faith in Jesus Christ and was baptized at a young age. She was a member of the Eight Mile Old German Baptist Brethren Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Susie Bowman, and her husband, Leonard Wray.

She is survived by two children, Ben Wray and his wife, Leah, of Pomona, KS, and Linda Jamison and her husband, Delbert, of Pomona, KS; three brothers, Jerry Bowman and his wife, Loretta, of Pendleton, IN, Harvey Bowman and his wife, Betty, of Brookville, OH, and Howard Bowman and his wife, Mildred, of Boones Mill, VA; seven grandchildren, Devin Wray and his wife, Hannah, of Ottawa, KS, Kaylene Steelman and her husband, Shane, of Ottawa, KS, Kristy Daniel and her husband, Carter, of Gardner, KS, Kara Wray of Roeland Park, KS, Michelle Jamison of Fort Worth, TX, Chelsea Mietchen and her husband, Evan, of Ottawa, KS, and Monica Jamison of Pomona, KS; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.&nbsp; Elsie was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.&nbsp; She always greeted you with a smile and will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends.

Darlene M. (Oetting) Fischer died Thursday, June 27, 2024. She was born February 2, 1931 at Lincoln County, Kansas to Henry E. &amp; Gertrude M. (Wilbeck) Oetting. Darlene was married to Edgar H. Fischer on April 23, 1950 at Sylvan Grove, Kansas. This union was blessed with a daughter, Miriam Ann &amp; a son, Paul Henry Fischer. Darlene was a wife, mother, &amp; a homemaker wherever the family lived. Her husband’s job took them to call Silver Spring, Maryland home for many years. In 1996 they moved to Salina, Kansas to retire and to be closer to relatives &amp; friends. She was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church, Salina, Kansas. She was baptized &amp; confirmed at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Russell, Kansas. Keith L Wineinger was born in Luray, Kansas on March 10, 1941 and died at his home on June 29, 2024. His parents were Leland and Mary (Wilkinson) Wineinger. Keith grew up in Luray, attended Fort Hays State University, Hays, Kansas and graduated with a bachelor’s degree and then obtained his Masters in Education. Keith dedicated 39 years to teaching for the Waconda School District. He coached track, cross country, football and girls basketball for a span over 42 years. Keith cherished the relationships formed with colleagues, coaches and mostly his students. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. He spent 14 years taking care of Prairie Grove Cemetery in Cawker City. Keith was a member of the Glen Elder Christian Church in Glen Elder, Kansas.

On December 23,1976, he married Barbara Ann Mansholt. They spent the majority of their years in Cawker City, Kansas.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Raymond and Maxine Mansholt; sister, Beverly Maddocks; and brother-in-laws, Ivan Mansholt and Jim Maddocks. He is survived by his wife Barbara; daughters, Lanette Wineinger, Abbe (Jeff) Zeiders and Beth (Tim) Deines; grandchildren, Stephan (Cassidy) Keating, Amy (Danny) Gardner, Trent and Tabetha Deines; great grandchildren, Knox Keating, Jaelyn and Logan Gardner; sister, Patricia (Tom) Elarton; brother, Bruce (Diana) Wineinger; sister-in-laws, Virginia (Eldon) Mickelson and Beverly Mansholt.

Steven “Steve” Wayne Lewis March 20, 1953 ~ June 24, 2024

On Monday June 24, 2024 the Lewis family unexpectedly lost a loving brother, husband, father and papa.

Steven “Steve” Wayne Lewis, 71, passed away from a heart attack in Watertown, SD while traveling home from a family reunion. All three of his daughters were blessed to be able to express their love over the phone before he peacefully passed with his wife by his side.

Steve was born in Greencastle, Indiana on March 20, 1953 to Arlando &amp; Naomi (Ferrand) Lewis. He was one of nine children. On July 18, 1980 Steve married Koren Redmann while stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO.

Steve’s strong work ethic and perseverance began at the early age of 11 when he started his first job. He rode his bike (uphill both ways… in the snow) to work at a chicken farm for 50 cents per day. At 18, Steve enlisted in the US Army where he proudly served for 20 years as a combat engineer. While in service, he deployed in support of Operation Desert Storm. He retired in February 1992 as a First Sergeant. Steve then went on to work as a corrosion technician for Pipeline Services and Fox-1 for 27 years. He retired from the workforce in September 2021 to spend his retirement days in his vegetable garden.

Steve was an avid gardener and feeding the community fed his soul. He was even known to let people go grocery shopping in his freezer. He loved to fish, hunt and made the most amazing deer jerky and sausage. Steve was a handyman and (although sometimes with a heavy sigh) could fix anything his wife and daughters brought his way. His highest priority was being a provider and always made sure his family was well cared for. His signature dance moves deserve a shout out as well. He never missed an opportunity to throw down his cane and bust a move with his daughters and grandchildren.

Steve is survived by his wife, Koren Lewis; daughters, Stephanie (Rocky) Ormiston of Kismet, KS, Kristen (Brandon) Calderon of Colorado Springs, CO, and Hanna (Adam) Zerr of Vine Grove, KY; daughter-in-law, Carrie Lewis of Rockwall, TX; grandchildren, Mila Ormiston, Aliyah and Amaiya Calderon, Sebastian, Stefen, Grace and Faith Zerr, Bryce Lewis, Ian Ballew, Gage Vasquez; great grandchildren, Marshawn and Kion Lewis; brother, Terry (Selina) Lewis; sisters, Louisa Chastain and Lisa (Thomas Ray) Crowder.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Arlando and Naomi Lewis; brothers, Lanny, Bob, Mike and Kent Lewis; sister, Mary Lewis; brother-in-law, Robert Chastain and his 2 beloved sons, Jonathon “JJ” and Anthony Lewis.

A rosary will be prayed Sunday, June 30, 2024 at 4:00pm followed by visitation from 4:30pm–6:30pm at Londeen-Overlease Funeral Chapel in Chapman, KS. The funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church on Monday, July 1, 2024 at 10:00am in Chapman, KS. Funeral luncheon immediately following at Parish Center. Kenneth L. Morgan, 80, of Scranton, KS died Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at his home.&nbsp; He was born July 7, 1943 in Topeka, KS the son of Jack Linder Morgan and Josephine (Smith) Morgan.&nbsp; He graduated from the Scranton High School with the Class of 1961.&nbsp;

He was united in marriage to Rella Segelquist on February 14, 1965 in Scranton, KS.&nbsp; They shared over fifty-nine years of marriage.&nbsp;

After forty-one years, working at Good Year Tire in Topeka, KS as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, he retired in 2003.&nbsp; He also enjoyed helping his neighbors weed eat and spending time with his family.&nbsp; He could identify and talk endlessly about World War II aircraft but he never left the ground.&nbsp; He also loved a good joke.&nbsp;

Mr. Morgan was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Josephine Morgan and a sister, Delores Morgan.&nbsp;

Surviving family includes his wife, Rella of the home; two daughters, Kristina Overman of Hoyt, KS and Kristal Morgan of Scranton, KS; three sisters, Karen (Dan Wheeler) Morgan-McConnell&nbsp; and Kay (Joe) Hroback both of New Mexico and Kathy (David) Widner of Berryton, KS; a brother, Larry (Lorie) Morgan of Stockton, KS; and two granddaughters, Morgan and Marlow Overman.

Morgan, 80, of Scranton, KS died Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at his home.&nbsp; He was born July 7, 1943 in Topeka, KS the son of Jack Linder Morgan and Josephine (Smith) Morgan.&nbsp; He graduated from the Scranton High School with the Class of 1961.&nbsp;He was united in marriage to Rella Segelquist on February 14, 1965 in Scranton, KS.&nbsp; They shared over fifty-nine years of marriage.&nbsp;After forty-one years, working at Good Year Tire in Topeka, KS as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, he retired in 2003.&nbsp; He also enjoyed helping his neighbors weed eat and spending time with his family.&nbsp; He could identify and talk endlessly about World War II aircraft but he never left the ground.&nbsp; He also loved a good joke.&nbsp;Mr. Morgan was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Josephine Morgan and a sister, Delores Morgan.&nbsp;Surviving family includes his wife, Rella of the home; two daughters, Kristina Overman of Hoyt, KS and Kristal Morgan of Scranton, KS; three sisters, Karen (Dan Wheeler) Morgan-McConnell&nbsp; and Kay (Joe) Hroback both of New Mexico and Kathy (David) Widner of Berryton, KS; a brother, Larry (Lorie) Morgan of Stockton, KS; and two granddaughters, Morgan and Marlow Overman.A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at the Cross Road Community Church, 512 Mason Street, Scranton, KS 66537.&nbsp; Inurnment will follow at a later date at Scranton Cemetery.&nbsp; Memorial contributions may be made to the Scranton Fire Department or the Topeka Humane Society and may be sent in c/o the Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, P.O. Linda M. Harding, 84, of Lindsborg, KS and formerly of Abilene, KS, peacefully passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2024, surrounded by family at Bethany Home, Lindsborg.

Linda was born on November 25, 1939, in Lindsborg, KS, the daughter of Carl Martin “Haggie” and Emily Mercedes (Train) Hagstrand. She graduated from Lindsborg Rural High School and received her bachelor’s degree from Bethany College.&nbsp; She later received her master’s degree from Kansas State University.&nbsp; Linda started her elementary teaching career in Colby, KS.&nbsp; She taught kindergarten for 24 years at Rural Center Elementary School near Abilene, KS before retiring in 1999.

On July 30, 1961, Linda was united in marriage to Bruce Lee Harding in Lindsborg. &nbsp;This union was blessed with three children, Troy, Katrina, and Inga. &nbsp;

She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and sang in the local presentation of Handel’s Messiah for 38 years.

Survivors include her loving husband of 62 years, Bruce; three children, Troy Harding (Nancy) of Salina, KS, Katrina McGee of Cortez, CO, and Inga Craig (Danny) of Grants Pass, OR; a sister, Sarah (Robert) Sandquist of Newton, IA; seven grandchildren, Kirsten Harding McClintock (Matt), Erik Harding (Megan), Katlynn McGee Larson (Jason), Konnar McGee, Mason Craig, Annika Craig, and Grant Prichard (Hannah); seven great-grandchildren, Quinn, Wesley, &amp; Eva Harding, Hanley and Ailey McClintock, Jaxon Larson, and Cooper Prichard.

She was preceded in death by her parents Carl “Haggie” and Mercedes Hagstrand and son-in-law, Karl McGee.

The memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Bethany Lutheran Church, 320 N. Main St., Lindsborg.&nbsp; A private graveside service will be at the Elmwood Cemetery, Lindsborg. &nbsp;

Patricia Branstetter, 88, (affectionally known as Pat or Patty) passed away on June 25, 2024 at Riverview Estates in Marquette, KS.

Patty was born on January 12, 1936&nbsp; in Akron, CO to James Earl, Jr and Sue Louise Case. She was the oldest of their 3 children. Her family moved to Wray, CO when she was young. She always considered Wray her home town. Patty's love of the color purple came from Wray, their school colors are purple and white. After graduating high school she made her way to Kansas, then Missouri for a few years and then back to Kansas for good in 1977. Patty had 6 children from a previous marriage. On April 14, 1979 she married Ed Branstetter.

Some of the jobs that she held were Denver Bell as a telephone operator, McVay Ambulance, Walmart, Junghan Brothers, Bosselman Travel Center and Exide Technologies.

Patty was an avid and talented crafter....she sewed &amp; cross stitched but her 2 favorites were crocheting and knitting. She spent her retirement years making hats and mittens for her grandkids, great-grandkids and for the local schools in Salina. She loved all animals, especially cats and birds. Patty was also a Green Bay Packers fan.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Ed Branstetter, step-son Eddie Branstetter and brother John Case, just 5 weeks ago.

She is survived by her 6 children; Steve Warner (Karen) Elk Grove, CA, Pam Toney Chandler, AZ, Doug Warner Lindsborg, KS, Bill Warner (Marlyce) WaKeeney, KS, Cindy Smith (Ron) Salina, KS, Joe Warner Salina, KS, step-daughter Jackie Whitcomb, brother Jim Case Pierce City, MO and sister-in-law Mary Doris Case, Summerville, SC. Patty is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 13 great grand children with 1 on the way.

The family would like to extend or sincere thanks to the staffs of Riverview Estates and Gentiva Hospice of McPherson for all the love and support they have given Patty.

Charles Westley Kemp, 49, of Salina, KS, passed from this life on June 23, 2024. Chuck was born on November 22, 1974, to James and Linda (Keele) Kemp, long-time residents of Carpentersville, IL. He was a 1992 graduate of Dundee-Crown High School.

Chuck moved to the Tulsa, OK area in 1998 after the birth of his daughter Jazmine Kemp and marriage to Sandy Chinea, where he resided for many years after the birth of his son James (Jimmy) Kemp in 2001. In October of 2014, he married Melissa Kemp (Lanik) and moved to Salina, KS with her and her children Jermy Bridgers and Gabrielle Vieyra.

If you know Chuck, you know he was a lifelong Cubs/Bears fan. Chuck was not only a loyal Chicago sports fan, but a loyal son, brother, uncle, friend, and husband. He had the most amazing smile that helped him make friends wherever he went. Chuck loved being a nurse and helping others. He was so compassionate to his residents and patients which is why they all loved him so much. The list of things that he wouldn't eat is so long that it would take a whole page just to write them down. I mean who doesn't like cheese and ranch? If it was bad for you, he loved it. Chuck not only had a craving for food, but he also had a craving for life. &nbsp;

Chuck was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ruby (McCubbin), and Melvin Keele, Beverly (Cuttler), and Kenneth Kemp, and his maternal uncles, John and James Keele. He is survived by his parents, James and Linda (Keele) Kemp, his wife, Melissa (Lanik) Kemp, his children, Jazmine (Alex Brakeall)&nbsp; and Jimmy Kemp (Kiyra Glavin), his stepchildren, Jermey Bridges (Katlyn Nimmo), and Gabrielle Vieyra, his grandchildren, Nova, Bodenn, and Harper, his brother Joseph (Stacey Linzy), his sisters, Andrea Curry and Kelley Hickey (John Hickey), his nieces and nephews, Jessica Capasso, Amber Curry, Rebecca Hickey, Elizabeth Hickey, Julia Hickey, Payton Kemp, Gabby Fouth, and Olivia Kemp.

Chuck will truly be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. If I knew Chuck, I know that he would want to tell everyone how much he loved you and not be sad but celebrate his life as well as all the good memories we made together. Linnie (Laird) Winters, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on June 21, 2024. Born on August 23, 1948, to Carl E. (Andy) Laird and Betty (June) Laird, Linnie lived a life of dedication, love, and service.

Linnie retired from the Topeka Police Department in 2006 after a 27-year career, where she served with distinction and unwavering commitment.

Linnie is survived by her husband of 41 years, Rodger E. Winters, who stood by her side with love and support throughout their journey together. She is also survived by her children, Paul Winters, and Kimberly Parker, as well as her granddaughters, Ashley Humiston and Jordan Parker, their partners Jason Garwood and Matthew Krogman, and her great-grandchildren, Kynleigh, Karsyn, Jaxon, Rylee, Harper, Kyndall, and Jordan. Her family was her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Linnie was a member of the Belmont Nazarene Church and attended First United Methodist Church in Salina, Kansas, Linnie’s faith was a cornerstone of her life. She moved to Salina to be closer to her great-grandchildren, embracing her role as a doting grandmother with open arms. Linnie’s generosity knew no bounds; she volunteered for Meals on Wheels, offering nourishment and companionship to those in need, and served as a mentor at local schools. Linnie’s love for animals, particularly cats, was evident in her tireless support for numerous animal organizations.

Linnie's life will be celebrated at Ryan Mortuary &amp; Crematory in Salina, Kansas,10:00 a.m. Friday June 28, 2024, and will be laid to rest in Meriden Cemetery in Meriden, Kansas the same day at 4:00 p.m. Her life was a testament to love, service, and generosity, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her family invites all those who wish to share in the love for Linnie to attend.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Salina Animal Shelter, honoring Linnie’s lifelong passion and dedication.

Gerald C. Gebhardt, Jr.&nbsp;“Gerry” passed away Saturday June 29, 2024. &nbsp;He was born on November 5, 1943,&nbsp;in&nbsp;Clay Center, Kansas to Gerald C. Gebhardt, Sr.&nbsp;“Jack”&nbsp;and Clara (Mitchell) Gebhardt. &nbsp;Gerry grew up in Wheaton, Kansas, graduating from Wheaton High School in 1961.

Gerry&nbsp;earned his B.S. in Elementary Education from Emporia State University in 1966. Later that year he&nbsp;moved to Kanopolis&nbsp;with his wife,&nbsp;Judy,&nbsp;beginning&nbsp;his&nbsp;39-year&nbsp;career in education,&nbsp;teaching&nbsp;and coaching&nbsp;in Kanopolis. Gerry carried on the tradition of Gebhardt Harvesting and enjoyed custom harvesting for&nbsp;most of his life.

Gerry was a member of the Ellsworth Methodist Church. &nbsp;He&nbsp;served&nbsp;as&nbsp;a city councilman in Kanopolis and&nbsp;was a member of the Kanopolis Men’s Club.

Gerry is survived by his wife of sixty years, Judy, daughter, Ginger Wooten (Dale), and&nbsp;son, Mitch (Angie),&nbsp;and granddaughter&nbsp;Tiffany&nbsp;Lowe (Terrence),&nbsp;granddaughter&nbsp;Katie&nbsp;See (Mike)&nbsp;grandson&nbsp;Shay&nbsp;Wooten (Lindy),&nbsp;grandson&nbsp;Jaxson&nbsp;Gebhardt,&nbsp;grandson&nbsp;Luke&nbsp;Gebhardt,&nbsp;grandson&nbsp;Jacob&nbsp;Gebhardt, and&nbsp;grandson&nbsp;Grady&nbsp;Gebhardt, as well as eight great-grandchildren.&nbsp;&nbsp;Gerry was preceded in death by&nbsp;his parents, Jack and Clara, and his sister Dixie&nbsp;Kufahl.

Visitation will be at the Parsons Funeral Home,&nbsp;Ellsworth on Tuesday, July 2 from&nbsp;1:00 to&nbsp;8:00 p.m.&nbsp;with family members receiving visitors&nbsp;from 4:00 to 6:00.&nbsp;A private family burial will be held on Wednesday morning July 3 at the Kanopolis Cemetery, followed by a celebration of life at 11:00 a.m. at the Ellsworth Methodist Church.

Gebhardt, Jr.&nbsp;“Gerry” passed away Saturday June 29, 2024. &nbsp;He was born on November 5, 1943,&nbsp;in&nbsp;Clay Center, Kansas to Gerald C. Gebhardt, Sr.&nbsp;“Jack”&nbsp;and Clara (Mitchell) Gebhardt. &nbsp;Gerry grew up in Wheaton, Kansas, graduating from Wheaton High School in 1961.Gerry&nbsp;earned his B.S. in Elementary Education from Emporia State University in 1966. Later that year he&nbsp;moved to Kanopolis&nbsp;with his wife,&nbsp;Judy,&nbsp;beginning&nbsp;his&nbsp;39-year&nbsp;career in education,&nbsp;teaching&nbsp;and coaching&nbsp;in Kanopolis. Terry David Schmidt, 58, of McPherson, KS, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024, due to injuries sustained in a single vehicle accident near McPherson.&nbsp; Terry was an oil and gas operator and producer.

Terry was born on August 13, 1965, in McPherson, KS, the son of Beauferd Wayne and DeAnn (Williams) Schmidt.&nbsp; Terry graduated from McPherson High School in 1983.&nbsp; On May 7, 1994, Terry was united in marriage to Cheryl J. Becker in McPherson.&nbsp; This union was blessed with two daughters, Paige and Madison.

Survivors include his loving wife of 30 years, Cheryl; daughters, Paige Burdick (Matthew) of Wichita, KS and Madison Schmidt of Wichita, KS; mother, DeAnn Decker (Larry) of Galva, KS; brothers, Tony Schmidt (Tiffany) of McPherson, KS and Heath Schmidt (Leesa) of Galva, KS;&nbsp; mother-in-law, Ruby Becker of Moundridge, KS; brother-in-law, Gene Becker (Brenda) of Wichita, KS; nephews and niece, Sam Schmidt, Sylas Schmidt, Kayley Cox (Kody), and Caleb Schmidt (Lindsey); numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Beauferd Schmidt, father-in-law, Merle Becker, and grandparents, Fred &amp; Tennie Williams and David &amp; Dena Schmidt.

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, July 5, 2024, at Revolution Church, 1337 W. Kansas Ave., McPherson, with Pastor Steve Gray officiating.&nbsp; Burial will follow at McPherson Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Revolution Church in care of Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 N. Chestnut, McPherson, KS 67460.

Calvin "Cal" Unruh June 22, 1942 ~&nbsp;June 25, 2024

Surrounded by his loving family, Calvin (Cal) Unruh, 82,&nbsp; passed away at Pine Village, Moundridge, Kansas, on June 25, 2024.&nbsp; Cal was born on June 22, 1942, at Bethesda Hospital in Goessel, Kansas to Raymond and Stella (Reimer) Unruh.

Cal grew up in rural Galva, Kansas and attended South Union and Sunflower Grade Schools. Cal was the oldest of four children and enjoyed paving the way for the other siblings—sometimes pushing the rules a bit. He attended Moundridge High School where he met the love of his life, Marlene Stucky. Together they enjoyed high school activities, various singing groups, prom and dances at Teen Town.&nbsp; Later they were united in marriage on July 14, 1962, at Eden Mennonite Church and enjoyed 61 years of marriage. Upon confession of faith, Cal was baptized in 1958 at West Zion Mennonite Church in Moundridge, Kansas and later in life became a member of McPherson Mennonite Church, McPherson, Kansas. He received a Bachelor of Science degree at McPherson College where he also played football.

Kristal and her husband, Shane Boswell, were very attentive and helpful as Cal’s health declined in recent months.&nbsp;Cal had some interesting jobs in his lifetime. He was a purchasing agent at Hesston Corporation, worked at the Parks and Recreation departments in Hutchinson, Kansas and Yuma, Arizona (where he was also a local TV weather forecaster celebrity). He was also an Over The Road trucker for various companies and at one time owned his own trucking equipment and worked as an independent driver.Everyone who met Cal knew he had a passion for NASCAR racing and motorcycles. Cal liked speed and was thrilled to have the opportunity to do solo laps in a NASCAR race car at the Kansas Speedway Racing Experience. Cal was a “Harley Man” and owned several Harley Davidson motorcycles. He even joked that he would have a specially designed coffin in the shape of a Harley. While he had many motorcycle friends, Cal particularly enjoyed discussing all things motorcycle and riding with his special friend, Stan Stucky. Cal was able to convince Marlene to ride with him on several trips, with the most memorable to Sturgis, South Dakota. Cal and his brother, Wayne, started basketball officiating at Sunflower Grade School and while Wayne continued his officiating career, Cal opted to be an avid sports fan who did not very often miss a televised Kansas Jayhawks basketball game.&nbsp; Another sports highlight for Cal was playing doubles tennis with professional Rosemary Casals who was known as a tennis rebel—a perfect fit for Cal.Cal leaves many special friends with whom he and Marlene enjoyed ski trips in Colorado and additional travels to Cancun and the Caribbean. He had a caring spirit for other people and was a mentor to a young man at First Mennonite Church.&nbsp; Cal was kind-hearted, mischievous, and loved to tell a good joke even though he got eye-rolling looks from Marlene.Cal was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Wayne Unruh; parents-in-law John and Cora Stucky, sisters-in-law Vera Thiesen, Pat Stucky and Betty Stucky; brothers-in-law Merlin Thiesen, and Howard Kaufman; Niece Kimberly Kaufman.Mourning Cal’s departure are his wife, Marlene; daughter and husband, Kristal Unruh and Shane Boswell of McPherson, Kansas; sisters Maggie (Gary) Davenport of Leawood, Kansas and Debra (Terry) Schmidt of Lawrence, Kansas; and special canine companions, Stormy and Vinny.&nbsp; Survivors also include sisters-in-law Helen Unruh, Neva Kaufman and Judy (Roger) Krehbiel; and brothers-in-law Wayne (Sharon) Stucky, Ken Stucky and many nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.&nbsp;Family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Sunday, June 30, 2024, at Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 N.
