
Ralph D. Kearn, age 73, entered into rest on Friday, July 4, 2025, at the North Central Kansas Health Center, Concordia, Kansas.
He was born on August 21, 1951, in Concordia, Kansas to George W. and Hazel M. (Trowbridge) Kearn.
Ralph was a 1969 graduate of Concordia High School.
On January 9, 1971, he married Phyllis Ann Vignery in Concordia, Kansas. They were united in marriage for 51 years until her passing on August 7, 2022.
Ralph was a former head custodian for USD 333.
He was a past member of the Moose Lodge #1428 & American Legion Post #76.
Ralph enjoyed going to the casinos. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include his daughter, Amanda “Mandy” McDaniel, Concordia, KS; sons, Phillip “PJ” Kearn (Jill), Concordia, KS & James Kearn (Vanessa), San Antonio, TX; nine grandchildren, Allissa (Steven) Steier, Zakary (Adrianna) Romo, Kelsey (Trevor) Bouska, Jessica McDaniel, Katie (Robert) Kearn, Kira Kearn, Alex (Molly) McDaniel & Briseis and Bryceson Kearn; great grandchildren, Raelynn, Hatcher, Haisley, Alora, Athena, Zander, Oakleigh &, Creighton; brothers, Donnie (Deb), Bob (Brenda), Tom, Dannie (Deborah), all of Concordia, KS.; sisters, Brenda Hester, Seattle, WA.; Dorothy West, Mankato, KS.; Sherry Lewis, Smith Center, KS.; Debra Mosher (Jim), Concordia, KS.; & Sandy Ruthstrom Belleville, KS.; sisters-in-law, Debbie Bullock (Louis), Grey Eagle, MN; Katie Phelps, Ponca City, OK. Georgetta Kearn & Diane Kearn, both of Concordia, KS.
He was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis, his parents, two sons, Jason and Darrell; brothers, Dennis & Darrell Kearn; brothers in law, Don Hester & Mark Ruthstrom; sisters-in-law, Judy Freeman, Pamela Parker; son in law, Bill McDaniel & grandson in law, Justin Lord.
There will be no visitation.
Cremation has taken place and to celebrate Ralph the family will be receiving family and friends from 1-4pm at Ralph’s residence at 211 East Second St., Concordia, KS on Saturday, July 12, 2025. Private family burial of cremains will take place in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia, Kansas.
