Mary Ann (Carlson) McAdams, 88, died July 10, 2020 at Medicalodge in Clay Center.&nbsp; She was born February 12, 1932 on the farm east of Morganville.&nbsp; The family moved to Morganville in 1936. &nbsp;Mary Ann grew up in Morganville where she attended school all 12 years. &nbsp;She also attended church, Sunday School, singing in the choir, participated in youth fellowship, taught Sunday School and Bible School classes in Morganville.&nbsp;

Mary Ann married Max McAdams on April 13, 1952 and they farmed west of Morganville.&nbsp; In December 1993, they moved to Clay Center.&nbsp; She was a homemaker, farmer, and after moving to Clay Center, she was a volunteer for CASA for 10 years.

Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Max; children, Debra Kovarik (Ernie), Deirdre Moore (Bob) and Rodney McAdams (Caryn); grandchildren, Aaron Smith, Holly Koehn, Jesse Moore, Ashley Fischer, and Ryan McAdams; 9 great grandchildren; and her brother, Royal Carlson.

Graveside memorial services will be held at 10:30AM on Wednesday, July 15 at Bloom Cemetery, rural Morganville, KS

Veryl Leone Tiemeyer, daughter of George and Grace Damman, was born July 6, 1934, in Palmer, KS, and peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family on July 9 at the Sheridan at Overland Park.

Veryl was born at home in Palmer, KS, and is one of 10 children. She graduated from Clifton High School and then married the love of her life Freddie Tiemeyer on Feb. 1, 1953. &nbsp;Veryl raised four children and was a loving, caring mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Clifton Art Buffs and supporter of her community, serving as a Clifton-Clyde Unified School District board member. &nbsp;Veryl received her B.S. in Psychology from Kansas State University at the age of 45 and went on to have a successful career in public administration, serving as executive director of March of Dimes, Salina Chapter, and was regional director of North Central Area Agency on Aging. Veryl was also a talented and accomplished artist winning several awards for her paintings. Her amazing impact and incredible love for her family and community is cherished and will be remembered.

Survivors include: daughter Rhonda (Tiemeyer) Grundemann and husband William (Scottsdale, AZ), daughter Melinda Tiemeyer (Prairie Village, KS); son Eric Tiemeyer and wife Diana (San Antonio, TX) ; &nbsp;son Noel Tiemeyer and his wife Joyce (Dodge City, KS); grandchildren Sam and Christian Grundemann; Caleb, (Laura) Ben, (Kat), Noah and Seth Tiemeyer; Chase (Jaclyn) and Austin Tiemeyer; step granddaughters Denise (Sean) Callahan, Diana Acevedo, and Debbie Acevedo, step great grandson, Carter Callahan and brother Thale Damman and sisters Melva Anderson and Nella Melone.

David A. Rohla, 80, died July 8, 2020. He was born March 4, 1940, the son of Otto and Minnie (Wilton) Rohla in Oak, Nebraska. Rodney Lewis Smith

&nbsp; Donna Belle Bacon, daughter of Irl L. and Sadie E.M. (Nelson) Davis, was born on April 18, 1925, in Manhattan, Kansas. On July 8, 2020, Donna passed away peacefully at the Cedars and went to her heavenly home at the age of 95. The Lord had called Donna’s father to be a pastor so her family moved about every three years during her school years as he was transferred to various congregations. Consequently, Donna attended several different schools before graduating from Central Christian Academy. Following graduation, Donna moved to her parent’s home in Manhattan, but jobs were difficult to find there since this was during World War II. A close friend of Donna’s that lived in Dodge City suggested that she try finding a job there. Reluctantly, her father gave her permission to go to Dodge City but with the strict instructions that if she didn’t find a job and a place to live within one week, she was to return home. The first day she arrived, she found both! Shortly thereafter, a young man came into the place where she was working and invited the four ladies in the office to go out for coffee. Little did she realize that the young man, Bub Keith, was trying to find some way to get to know who she was since he happened to be home on leave from the Naval Air Base. From then on, he invited only Donna out for coffee! After a short courtship, Bub proposed and they were married on March 26, 1945 in Cimarron, Kansas. Bub was then transferred to the Naval Air Base at Corpus Christi, Texas. Following Bub’s discharge from the service, they returned to Dodge City where they lived for two years. The young couple decided that they would like to move halfway between their parents’ locations and they ended up choosing McPherson. Donna had several part time jobs over the years. She worked at Prairie Gardens doing a variety of jobs. She worked for Floyd Lietz, a Public Accountant, helping to file income tax returns during tax season. She worked as a bookkeeper for San Ore Construction. She was working as the Secretary to the Purchasing Agent at NCRA when they were blessed with the addition of a son, David and later a daughter, Donna Kay. Donna enjoyed nothing more than staying home to raise their children and see also assisted Bub however she could with his automotive business. On August 4, 1973, Bub tragically died in a car accident just west of McPherson. Donna worked part-time at Central Christian College after Bub passed away. In early 1975, Elvin Bacon invited Donna to go out for coffee at the Happy Chef Restaurant following a Sunday evening church service. They visited for a long time that evening and decided to start dating. Donna and Elvin were married on December 19, 1975 in McPherson. (Donna always joked that you better be careful who you go out to coffee with! Two first coffee dates led to two marriage proposals!) Even though Elvin’s children were all married, she felt blessed with the addition of two step-daughters, Jean and Diane and one step-son Darrell. Donna was always thankful to be so loved and accepted by Elvin’s family. When Elvin retired from NCRA, they enjoyed traveling across the United States in their camper with Craftsmen for Christ. They spent numerous summers in Westcliffe, Colorado until their health would no longer allow it. Donna loved to travel and especially loved to fish. She always enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, and quilting. She made a quilt for all of the children and Donna loved to be on Facebook (before her eyesight became an issue) so she could keep up with what all of the family members were doing. She was amazing how she could remember everyone’s birthdays and always made sure to send a card. Donna gave her heart to the Lord at the age of 12. She always knew that He was watching over her, but she readily admitted that there were several years that she strayed from Him. She returned to the Lord when she became a mother and was determined to never stray again. She was baptized on May 6, 1990. She often talked about how good the Lord had been to her and could share several examples of where He had provided for her. She greatly looked forward to the day that she would be in heaven! Her constant prayer was that all of her family would give their hearts to the Lord and follow Him. She was a member of the McPherson Free Methodist Church. Although Donna’s health kept her from attending church on Sunday morning, she loved going to the church service at The Cedars on Sunday evenings. She spent a lot of time in prayer for the prayer requests of the church as well as praying for her family. He was born November 4, 1945, in McPherson, KS, the son of DeLoss H. and Carolyn R. (Ewy) Hultberg. He attended the local schools and graduated from McPherson High School in 1963. He also attended McPherson College and received a Bachelor’s Degree from Pacific Western University. On January 6, 1968, Mike married Joyce Ann Bengston in Hutchinson, KS. They made McPherson their home for most of their married life but relocated to Newton in 2018. Mike started drumming at an early age and even taught others along the way. In his adult years he played alongside other well-known McPherson musicians such as Al Jennings and Bryce Luty. Music continued to be a joy in his life until the very end. Mike was not a churchgoing man but did consider himself to be a devout Christian. Survivors include: his loving wife of 52 years, Joyce of the home; four children, Jill Hultberg of McPherson, Julie Young of Newton, Jay Hultberg (Lisa) of Galva, and Jane Crawford (Jake) of Newton; nine grandchildren, Taylor Hultberg, Jaycob Hultberg, Ali Hultberg, Michael Young, Aden Hultberg, Morgan Young, Libby Crawford, Lauren Crawford, and Ty Crawford. He also attended McPherson College and received a Bachelor’s Degree from Pacific Western University. On January 6, 1968, Mike married Joyce Ann Bengston in Hutchinson, KS. They made McPherson their home for most of their married life but relocated to Newton in 2018. Mike started drumming at an early age and even taught others along the way. In his adult years he played alongside other well-known McPherson musicians such as Al Jennings and Bryce Luty. Music continued to be a joy in his life until the very end. Mike was not a churchgoing man but did consider himself to be a devout Christian. Survivors include: his loving wife of 52 years, Joyce of the home; four children, Jill Hultberg of McPherson, Julie Young of Newton, Jay Hultberg (Lisa) of Galva, and Jane Crawford (Jake) of Newton; nine grandchildren, Taylor Hultberg, Jaycob Hultberg, Ali Hultberg, Michael Young, Aden Hultberg, Morgan Young, Libby Crawford, Lauren Crawford, and Ty Crawford. Charles Dean Bethe, 96, of Salina, passed away peacefully in his own home, with his family by his side, Wednesday, July 1, 2020.

Our dad lived in the same home and gave 72 years to our community, working for Salina Concrete Products, supervisor for crew, building block silos on farms around the state.

April 4th&nbsp;Dean called Kindred Hospice in McPherson and Comfort Keepers to help him control his congestive heart failure.

After retirement Dean used his construction and cleaning talents to work on First Baptist Church. Installing, the beautiful pipe organ. It was one of his greatest joys. He was on the board of Trustees, and different committees at the church. One of dad’s favorite quote’s “Put a pencil to it and then ask yourself can you live without it?”

He was born on the homestead outside of Elmo, Kansas, October 16, 1923 to now deceased Charles Henry Bethe and Juanita (Rucas) Bethe. Preceding in his death were his brothers; Paul Bethe, Donald Bethe.

He married Dorothy E. (Schrader) Bethe, October 24, 1948 and they had 38 years together, before she passed away October 1986; sons, Perry Bethe 2012, Dennis Bethe 2009.

Survived by 2 Loving Daughters, Peggy A. Gottschalk of Salina, Donna K. Murnen of Toledo, Ohio.

Dean was blessed with 8 grandchildren, Matthew Bethe, Katrina (Bethe) Mendoza (Greg), Daniel Bethe, Garrett Gottschalk (Emily Tamblyn), Megan (Gottschalk) Standefer (Ryan), Drew Bowden (Michelle), Cody Murnen, Kayla (Murnen) Lucas; great grandchildren, Perry Mendoza, Margo Mendoza, Henry Standefer, Willa Standefer, Audrey Standefer, Kendall Bowden, and baby boy Gottschalk due in Nov, 2020.

On June 18, 1988 Dean married Arvetta Miller and she has 3 daughters, 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren.

Charles Dean Bethe

Charles “Charlie” John Naerebout, Jr. was born March 8, 1956, to Charles John Sr., and Donna Mae (Trim) Naerebout in Grand Haven, Michigan. Charlie attended Spring Lake, Michigan Schools and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He married Teresa Lynne Anderson on November 19, 2007, in White Cloud, Michigan.

Charlie was a welder for Agco in Hesston, Kansas and worked in maintenance at Dura Automotive in White Cloud, Michigan. He loved his church Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping.

His loving family includes his wife, Teresa of the home; children, Chasity (Daryn) Warriner of Ozark, Missouri, Karen Hidalgo of Unadilla, Nebraska, Aprelle Naerebout, and Charles (Cassandra) Naerebout all of White Cloud, Michigan; siblings, Penny (Greg) Walker of Newton, Kansas, Richard Naerebout, of Bailey, Michigan, Donna Mae (Steve) Youngheim of White Cloud, Michigan and Larry Naerebout of Grand Haven, Michigan; 10 grandchildren, Elisha, Isaiah, and Shiloh Warriner, Micayla Harness, John and Liz Hidalgo, James and Naomi Thompson, Riley and Charles IV Naerebout; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Bennett, Josephine and Alistair; an aunt, Donna Raye Johnson and a great nephew, Bryce Naerebout; and many nieces and nephews.

Margie’s life began on April 2, 1930 in Pilsen.  She was the daughter of George and Amelia (Neuwirth) Vinduska. 

 Margie attended parochial school at St. John Nepomucene Catholic School in Pilsen. 

 She was united in marriage to Maurice Stroda on August 31, 1948 at St. John Nepomucene Church. 

 Margie was a lifetime member of the church and a member of the St. Ann’s Altar Society.  

She was a mother, wife and homemaker who took great pride in raising her eight children.

Margaret Frances (Vinduska) Stroda

Wesley Wayne Jones, age 84, formerly of Concordia, entered into rest on Sunday, July 5, 2020 in Salina, Kansas.&nbsp; He was born on February 23, 1936 in Sabetha, KS to Lloyd W. &amp; Stella (Ruse) Jones.

He attended Schools in Goff, Kansas. W.W. Served in the United States Navy on the destroyer, USS Fletcher DD-445 for 4 years.

He owned and operated a milk hauling business from dairy farms in Cloud County and surrounding counties, returning the fresh milk to Fairmont Foods in Concordia, KS. He drove semi-trucks with Crete Carrier, Lincoln, NE, and hauling freight all over the United States. He later owned and operated W.W. Jones Trucking, hauling grain and continued to run one truck until retirement in 2017 around the area of Salina, KS. If that didn’t keep him busy, he also owned a farm on Camp Road in Cloud County raising crops and livestock, riding and breaking horses until his move to Salina.

Wayne married Barbara Ann Klever on March 8, 1955 in Burns, Oregon, together they had 5 children. &nbsp;Barbara preceded him in death on May 21, 2003.&nbsp;

He was a member of the American Legion Post #76, Concordia.

W.W. enjoyed all sports, especially watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren playing all sports.

Hazel Joan Walker, 94, died peacefully at Abilene Memorial Hospital on July 4, 2020. She was born in Coffeyville, Kansas, on October 2, 1925, to George and Anna Brown. 

She married George Walker in Independence, Kansas, on August 31, 1956, and they moved to Manhattan, Kansas, finally settling in Abilene, Kansas, where they attended St. Andrew’s Catholic Church. In later years, Hazel especially adored her dog, Governor, who was her faithful companion. 

She is preceded in death by her husband George Walker, daughter Sharon Lewis, son Michael Walker, sisters Mary Cornette, Myrtle Ellicock and Charlotte Brown and brother George (“Buddy”) Brown. 

She is survived by daughter Donna Walker of Milton-Freewater, Oregon and sons Jeff Walker of Salina, Kansas and Timm Walker (Karen Siebert) of Prairie Village, Kansas. 

Hazel chose to be cremated, so there will be a graveside service for family and friends at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Abilene at 9 a.m. on Thursday July 9. 

Because of public health concerns, there will not be a reception. Memorial donations in memory of Hazel may be made to Wakefield Care and Rehabilitation Center in care of Danner Funeral Home. Donations will support outings and activities for the many friends she made while in care there.

John Richard McEachron, 89, of Salina, passed away July 5, 2020.&nbsp; He was born April 4, 1931 in Dalhart, Texas.

He served as a Seaman in the US Coast Guard then retired as a US Air Force Master Sergeant after 22 years. Then he worked as a clerk in the US Post Office for 18 years.

John spent his years growing up in Speed KS and the Ozarks.&nbsp; He spent many retirement years living on The Lake of The Ozarks where his children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews enjoyed many summer days.&nbsp; He returned to Salina to be near family.

Wilma Jean “Jeannie” Nelson Wagner, 92, Salina, died Sunday, July 5, 2020 at Legacy at Salina Nursing Home, Salina, KS from complications from a stroke five years ago.

She was born on the family farm in rural Jamestown, KS to Ed and Dorothy Street Nelson on June 7, 1928.&nbsp; She attended school in rural Cloud County and graduated from Jamestown High School in May 1946.

After obtaining a teaching certificate from Emporia State University, she taught grades 1-8 in rural Rush County, Kansas where she met Verner Wagner.&nbsp; They were married on February 28, 1949.&nbsp; From that marriage, they were blessed with 4 children: Randy, Jacquie, Anita (A.J.) &amp; Kristi.&nbsp;

Throughout the years, Jean worked various jobs, including Gibson's Discount Center, Barton County Courthouse, and finishing her career at KN Energy in June 1993.&nbsp;

She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Great Bend since 1952, serving as a president of WELCA, volunteering as a Sunday School teacher and also serving on parish council. Jean was a member of Cowboy Sams camping club, volunteered for the community blood bank, and served on the voter registration board at election time.&nbsp; Some of&nbsp; Jean's favorite things in life were spending time with her children and grandchildren, traveling, and playing cards or dominoes with her friends, especially at the Great Bend Senior Center.&nbsp; She moved from Great Bend to Salina in 2014.&nbsp;

Jean is survived by son Randy (Patti) Conifer, CO,&nbsp; daughters Jacquie Flatley, Casper, WY, A.J. Levy, Aurora, CO, and Kris Jurgensmeier (Charlie) Bennington, KS.&nbsp; She is also survived by sisters Betty Weigel Tulsa, OK, Virginia Logan Kansas City, KS, sisters-in-law Frances Wagner Russell, KS, Pauline Nelson Derby, KS, 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by husband, Verner, parents Ed and Dorothy Nelson, brothers Jim and Chuck Nelson, grandson Alan Jurgensmeier, 6 brothers-in-law and 3 sisters-in-law.

Dean E. “Bubby” Fullerton, age 68, of Mankato, KS entered into rest on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at the Republic County Hospital.&nbsp;&nbsp;He was born on May 6, 1952 in Concordia, KS to William and Ruby (Hancock) Fullerton

Dean was a graduate of Mankato High School Class of 1970. He then entered the National Guards from 1970 to 1975. He later then worked at Thompson Oil Company where he was a local Fuel truck driver until his retirement.

Dean was a member of the DAV – Disabled American Veterans. &nbsp;

In his younger years, Dean enjoyed touring different historical sights and being outdoors and camping.

He is survived by his 2 brothers, Roy Fullerton (Joyce), Superior, NE; Dave Fullerton, Mankato and 6 sisters, Phyllis Olmstead, Emporia; Norma Eitzmann, Superior, NE; Yvonne Blair, Superior, NE; Joyce McElroy, Ulysses; Claudine Fullerton, Superior, NE; and Brenda Moser, Hugoton.

Liz was born on July 8, 1934, in Hillsboro, KS, the daughter of Arthur H. and Esther (Knak) Penner. She graduated from the Wichita Public School of Practical Nursing in 1953. On October 25, 1953, Liz was united in marriage to Homer M. Watts. He preceded her in death on June 1, 1992. She was a member of St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, McPherson and was baptized in the First Mennonite Church, Hillsboro. George W. Tatro, 72, Glasco, KS, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2020 at the Nicol Home in Glasco.&nbsp; He was born August 18, 1947 in Concordia, KS to Victor H. Tatro, Jr. and Harriet Clark Tatro.

George served in the United States Army during Vietnam and worked for many years at the Natural Gas Pipeline of America in Glasco; retiring as an operations specialist.

He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Raymond; his parents; and son, Christopher.

Melanie C. Ryding, 82, of Lindsborg, passed away July 3, 2020 at Bethany Home in Lindsborg.  She was born February 5, 1938 in Salina, KS to Amos and Almeda (Peterson) Ryding.  She grew up on the family farm near Falun.  She fondly remembered a heart fashioned out of a silver dollar, for a necklace, made for her, by a German prisoner of war.  She enjoyed telling the story to family members.

Melanie was a graduated of Lindsborg High School, Brown Mackie, Wichita State University, and Tulsa University.  She was a speech therapist and worked at a number of venues across the state of Kansas.

She was a member of the Salemsborg Lutheran Church WELCA, Sandzen Art Gallery, Raymer Society, and the Lindsborg Hospital Auxiliary.  Salemsborg Lutheran Church was the center of her social and spiritual life.

Melanie was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her brother: Dr. Paul Ryding (Shari), of Wichita, KS; sister: Darlene Magnuson (John), of Lindsborg; one nephew, 4 nieces, 3 great nephews, and 7 great nieces.  She adored her nieces and nephews, and their children.

Visitation will be at Crick-Christians Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 pm, Monday, July 6.

A private family graveside service will be held at Salemsborg Lutheran Cemetery.

Deloris Marie (Holthus) Chizek was born at rural Elk Creek, Nebraska on March 13, 1936 to John and Frieda (Lampe) Holthus. She received her education at Long Branch schools. Dee passed away Saturday, June 27, 2020 at her home in Cuba, Kansas due to pancreatic cancer.

She and Joe met in 1956 when she worked at a café and he was with a road construction crew. They were married on December 30, 1958 and lived at Fort Campbell, Kentucky for two years while Joe served in the 101st Airborne, United States Army.

In 1961 they moved their mobile home to Cuba, Kansas. In 1963 they alone built their present home. Dee drove half the nails,&nbsp; blocks to &nbsp;shingles. She enjoyed her flowers, gardening, helping on the farm and baby sat with many neighboring children while raising her own four children. She was an excellent mother and teacher to all.

Dee was a member of the Elk Creek Riders Saddle Club, Republic County Czech Club and Cuba Booster Club. She loved her entire family, listening and dancing to Polka music, her “0” turn lawn mower and riding the golf cart around town. Dee was proud of her German heritage and loved her Czech man.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Nelva and Owen Beethe, Ellen and Glen Beethe; brothers Alvin and Leroy Holthus; brother-in-law John Cawley.

Dee will be forever remembered by her husband Joe; sisters Eileen Rich and Janice Cawley; sister-in-law Angela Holthus; three daughters: Tammy Wickstrum (Mike), Cuba, KS, Kathleen Steinle (Brad), Talmo, KS, and Lisa Pierce (Clint), Augusta, KS; son David Chizek (Stacey), Manhattan, KS; five grandchildren: Kelly Steinle (Joseph Bergkamp), Wichita, KS, Kate Fisher (Tate), KCMO, Brian Steinle (Becca), Augusta, KS, Megan Spilker (Trent), Harbine, NE, and Patrick Chizek, Manhattan, KS; five great grandchildren: Dade Fisher, Harlie Steinle, Avery, Dani and Riley Spilker; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of her life will be 10:00am Saturday, July 11th, 2020 at the Cuba Community Hall, Cuba, Kansas. The day of the annual “turtle feed” which Dee cooked the turtles for over 30 years. Her urn made of hedge, yellow in color, Dee’s favorite color, by son David will be buried in National Bohemian Cemetery No. 13, rural Cuba with Stacey Chizek officiating. Following the committal service, lunch will be in the Cuba City Park.

Memorials are suggested to be made to the Cuba Booster Club or Meadowlark Hospice of Clay Center, KS. Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home, Belleville, Kansas assisted the Chizek family with these arrangements.

Gene was a longtime resident of Osawatomie, KS. He married Mary “Ellen” Adams in Hume, MO on July 22, 1951. Gene retired as a conductor from the Union Pacific Railroad after a long and very enjoyable career. He was US Navy veteran and member of the Baptist Church, American Legion, Elks Lodge, and Masonic Lodge.

Gene is survived by his wife, Ellen of Ellsworth; sons, Steve Brownback (Patti) of Overland Park, KS and David Brownback (Cheryl) of Ellsworth; grandchildren, Sarah Wortman (Neil), Jeff Brownback (Susie), Thomas Brownback (Kate), and Doug Brownback (Michelle); great grandchildren, Lucas and Nathan Wortman, J.P. and Luke, Olivia and Everly and Owen Brownback; and sister, Kathy Kinder of Kansas City, MO. Sarah’s life began on September 28, 1946 in Wichita.  She was the daughter of Harold and Florence (Graham) Fortney. 

 Sarah was a 1965 graduate of Mt. Carmel High School and a graduate of Wichita Business College. 

 She was united in marriage to Monty Stuchlik on September 2, 1967 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Wichita.  

Sarah worked for Pilsen State Bank in Lincolnville, a bookkeeper and even a nanny in Wichita but her only true vocation was as a loving wife and caring mother.  She did not work outside of the home until the children were grown. 

 Sarah volunteered at her children’s schools and volunteered at church because family was everything to her. 

 She was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Herington and a member of the Altar Society. 

 Sarah was very musical, she played piano, organ and accordion.  She loved music and musical theatre. 

 Sarah was a horse racing enthusiast and Kansas City Royals fan.  She enjoyed reading, sewing and putting together puzzles. 

 Sarah’s greatest joy was her children and grandchildren and she cherished every minute of that time. 

 Her loving family includes her husband Monty Stuchlik of Lost Springs; children Candace (Michael) Thode of Valley Center, Daniel (Melissa) Stuchlik of Pilsen, and Ross (Megan) Stuchlik of Lost Springs; grandchildren Tanner, Allie, Colt and Dakota Stuchlik and brother Kenneth Fortney of Wichita. 

 Sarah passed away on Monday June 29, 2020 at Newton Medical Center. 

 She is preceded in death by her parents, grandchildren Cheyenne, Cole and Hunter Stuchlik, three brothers and two sisters. 

 Her family will gather with friends on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at Yazel-Megli Funeral Home, Marion.  Rosary services will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Herington with Mass of Christian burial following at 11 a.m. celebrated by Father Peter O’Donnell.  Sarah will be laid to rest in Pilsen Cemetery at a later date. On September 23, 1950, Merlin married Betty Clark in Kansas City, Kansas. Merlin served in the United States Army. Survivors include three daughters, Peggy Krummen, (Ralph), of Minneapolis, Kansas, Debbie Odell, of Overland Park, Kansas, Candy Gish, (Tim), of Kansas City, Kansas; two sons, Kenneth Middleton, (Chris), of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Rick Middleton, of Bennington, Kansas.
