Bryan’s life began on August 5, 1978, the son of Gary Nelson and Lydia Joan Wheeler in Homestead, Florida. Bryan passed away peacefully on Friday, September 24, 2021, at the age of 43. He was preceded in death by his wife April on December 31, 2020. His loving family includes his mom and dad, Lydia Joan and William “Wayne” Steen of Florence, South Carolina; brother Christopher Scott Wheeler (Anna Marie) of Kodiak, Alaska; sisters Kelli Steen Wukela (Michael) and Kristen Leigh Steen (fiancé, Tory Kluender) all of Columbia, South Carolina; also his father Gary Nelson Wheeler, and his half-brother Garrett Wheeler both of Gainesville, Florida; his bonus mother Kathy Wohlgemuth Wiebe of Whitewater, Kansas; father-in-law Larry Wiebe of Potwin, Kansas; brother-in-law Aaron Wiebe (Krista Briar) of Park City, Kansas. He is Uncle Bryan to Jack and Clara Wukela, and to Asa and Elek Wheeler. He graduated from West Florence High School, class of 1997, in Florence, South Carolina. He played the trombone in the school’s marching band all four years. Bryan received his associate degree from Florence Darlington Technical College.

 He married April Dawn Wiebe on July 4, 2013 in Whitewater, Kansas. 

Bryan was a night auditor for Towne Place Suites by Marriott. He attended Federated Church and enjoyed reading and helping others with computer techniques and issues. His family will gather with friends on Monday, October 4, from 10 a.m.-11:00 a.m. for visitation at Federated Church, 207 E. Central, Whitewater, Kansas. His funeral will follow at 11:00 a.m.. A private family burial will be held at a later date in Whitewater Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Federated Church in care of Lamb Funeral Home, P.O. Largent on Oct. 12, 1958 in Concordia.&nbsp;&nbsp;She worked as an assistant for Dr. Boardman and later Dr. Miller optometry.&nbsp;&nbsp;She was a member of The Baptist Church and the VFW #588 Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband, Robert ‘Bob’, Concordia; son, Randy Largent, Concordia; daughter, Michelle Metro (Jim), Concordia; grandchildren, Jordan Metro (Kelsey), Marion &amp; Jera Metro, Concordia &amp; great grandchildren, Kaelynn &amp; Peyton Metro and Boone Metro.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Herman Lee Davenport.

Rev. Canon SSC James Richard Cox, affectionately known as “Father Jim,” died peacefully on 9/28/21 surrounded by family.&nbsp; 

Father Jim is survived by his children Michael (Cindy) Cox, Patrick (Teresa) Cox, Rachael (Mark) Hoffman, James (Michelle) Cox, sister Dixie (Greg) Green along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.&nbsp; 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth and sister Charlotte Couch.

Father Jim was born on 10/2/1934 in Garden City, Kansas. He moved with his family to Pueblo when he was younger and eventually to Canon City, Colorado as a junior, where he graduated from high school in 1952.&nbsp; 

Father Jim joined the Army right out of high school and after discharge, he used the GI bill to complete his education at University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, earning a bachelor of arts.&nbsp; 

After graduation, Jim taught junior high school and got involved in the teacher’s union, which then took him to Washington D.C. with his family. After that, Jim started working for the federal government where he worked for “Volunteers In Service To America” (VISTA) and then moved to Austin, Texas where he was the Southwest Regional Director.&nbsp; After his resignation from the government, he went to work for international consulting firms in the United States and Europe. Father Jim met and then married Ruth Detter on July 20, 1977 in Kansas City, MO.&nbsp; They were married 40 years until the time of her death in 2017.

Following a dream, Jim attended the Nashotah House Theological Seminary in Nashotah, Wisconsin. Jim was ordained on 11/30/1990 by the Right Rev. John Forsythe Ashby D.D., Bishop of Western Kansas as the Rev Canon SSC James Cox.&nbsp; Father Jim accepted a position as the chaplain and a history teacher at St. John’s Military Academy in Salina, Kansas, making a difference in the lives of numerous young men now scattered across the United States and beyond.&nbsp; Father Jim also provided spiritual services at numerous Episcopal churches in Kansas to include the Bennington Episcopal Church and was named the Provost for Christ Cathedral of the Episcopal Church in Salina.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Christ Cathedral at 138 S. 8th Street in Salina, Kansas at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 2, 2021. &nbsp;

Maxine A. Heinen, 100, Salina, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021. She was surrounded by her family who cared for, loved and walked her final journey with her.

Maxine was born May 9, 1921 to Paul and Anna (Frank) LaRocque in Cawker City, KS. She grew up on their family farm in Cawker City and attended a one-room schoolhouse through the 8th grade. She went on to graduate from Concordia High School. Maxine attended Mount St. Scholastica College in Atchison for two years. After deciding to become a nurse, she graduated from St. Francis Hospital in Wichita as a registered nurse.

Maxine worked in Wichita before marrying her husband, Paul, in 1944. While living in Beloit, Maxine worked as a private duty nurse and at the Mitchell County Hospital.

Upon retirement in 1974, Paul and Maxine moved to Salina where they resided until their passing. During retirement they enjoyed their time traveling together. Maxine also enjoyed doing volunteer work at Hospice of Salina and quilting with St. Mary's quilting circle.

Paul, her husband of 73 years, passed away in 2018 at the age of 102. Maxine was also preceded in death by her daughter, Carol, in 2003, her great-grandchild, Alex, her parents, three brothers, Fr. Benedict, Gene and Lawrence LaRocque and one sister, Dorothy LaRocque.

Maxine leaves behind her children, Paulette Schaller of Edina, MN, Janese (Steve)&nbsp;Lutgen of Grand Junction, CO, Patricia Heinen of Taos, NM, Joe (Kim) Heinen of&nbsp;Austin, TX, and Diane (Tom) O'Neill of Salina, KS, special friends Cathy Boyle and Gary Anderson, eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren with one on the way, and her sister Theresa Wehkamp.

After deciding to become a nurse, she graduated from St. Francis Hospital in Wichita as a registered nurse.Maxine worked in Wichita before marrying her husband, Paul, in 1944. While living in Beloit, Maxine worked as a private duty nurse and at the Mitchell County Hospital.Upon retirement in 1974, Paul and Maxine moved to Salina where they resided until their passing. During retirement they enjoyed their time traveling together. Maxine also enjoyed doing volunteer work at Hospice of Salina and quilting with St. Mary's quilting circle.Paul, her husband of 73 years, passed away in 2018 at the age of 102. Maxine was also preceded in death by her daughter, Carol, in 2003, her great-grandchild, Alex, her parents, three brothers, Fr. Kathleen R. Jackson, 67, of Salina, KS, passed away on September 25, 2021. 

Kathy grew upon a farm in Clayton, KS. Although she held a wide variety of jobs, Kathy was known for her&nbsp;work at St. Joseph Children’s home, OCCK, Ashby House, administrator for the Salina&nbsp;Emergency Food Bank and business owner of People In Need Payee Program (P.I.N).

Kathy&nbsp;enjoyed a life dedicated to the service of others and will be dearly missed and always&nbsp;remembered.

Kathleen Jackson was predeceased in death by her siblings Bernadine Dougherty (Art), T.A.&nbsp;Mindrup, Charles Mindrup, Barbara Mindrup, Joyce Elaine Mindrup, Edward Mindrup. 

She is&nbsp;survived by her husband Travis Jackson, and her daughter Juaacklyn Jackson;&nbsp; her children&nbsp;Sade and Declan Denny, and son Jameel Jackson, his children Trevon, Estelle and Lilly;&nbsp;siblings Donna Honeycutt, Doris Pestinger (Russell Anspaugh), Frank Mindruip (Maureen), Pat Mindrup (Jim Kapeller); sister-in-law Ruza Mindruip;&nbsp; many nieces, nephews and&nbsp;many, many other children and their children.

Kathy requested a celebration of life be held in&nbsp;her honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. We request all of Kathy’s loved ones to join us in celebrating her beautiful life at Salina Seventh Day Adventist Church, 834 N. Eleventh St, Salina on Monday, October 4, at 10:00 a.m.

Harry worked at Gages and Bowman Sheet Metal as a sheet metal worker for many years.&nbsp;

He was president of Local 181 Sheet Metal Workers Union for ten years, and was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union for 60 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents Gladwyn and Hazel K. (Jennings) Geske, brother Tom Geske, and two sisters, Rosalie Leek and Carol Geske.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 63 years, Patricia J. Geske, son Greg S. Geske, and daughter Terrie L Geske, both of Salina, and three grandchildren, Kelli, Joe, and Kyla Petersen and husband Kole, and five great-grandchildren, Alex, Julia, Selah, Kinsley and Khole.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1912 E. Crawford, Salina.

Charlotte L. Childs, the daughter of Allen Glen Harden and Mary L.&nbsp;(Ferguson) Harden, was born December 10, 1934 in Belleville, Kansas.&nbsp; Mr. Harden passed away and she later was raised by her stepfather, John P. Miller and Mary L. (Ferguson) Miller.&nbsp; 

Charlotte passed away on September 22, 2021 at the Republic County Hospital-ISB at the age of 86 years, 9 months and 12 days.

Charlotte grew up in Belleville, graduating from Belleville High School.&nbsp; She attended Ft. Hays State University where she was a cheerleader.

On March 22, 1953, she was united in marriage to Richard L. “Dick” Childs and to this union was born two sons:&nbsp; Barry and Jim. The couple made their home in rural Republic County for many years, moving to Belleville in recent years.&nbsp; He preceded her in death in 2014.

Charlotte was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Belleville, KS, where she was active in numerous committees through the years among them being the chairman of the food stand for 11 years and a member of the Church Choir and Bells.

She was an active 4-H leader for the Liberty Rose Creek Club and served on the Kansas Junior Miss Board and as chair. Charlotte also enjoyed her active&nbsp;participation in the EHU and PEO Chapter BM.

Charlotte was a member of the Republic County Healthcare Foundation and Hospital Board for two decades. She also served on the rural school district board. Charlotte and her husband Dick received the Master Farmer Award in 1999 along with serving on the Republic County Extension Council.

In addition to her countless volunteer activities, Charlotte embraced the many roles of life on the farm. It seemed she could do anything and everything and made supporting her family a priority. Charlotte also&nbsp;enjoyed sewing, reading, playing bridge, photography, golf, bowling and spending time at the lake.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents John and Mary Miller, and her husband Richard L. “Dick” Childs.

She is survived by two sons, Barry (Susan) Childs of Belleville, KS and Jim (Pati) Childs of Monument, CO; eight grandchildren, Katie (Kelly) Struebing and Kurt (Kelli) Childs all of Belleville, Matt Childs of Nashville, TN, Amanda Childs of Denver, CO,&nbsp; Laura Childs of Oklahoma, Greg (Rachel) Janitell and Steve (Ginger) Janitell all of Colorado Springs, CO, and&nbsp; Christina (Robert) Klamser of Denver, CO;&nbsp;11 great-grandchildren, Carson, Brady, Collin, Leah, Harrison, Shepard, Magnolia,&nbsp;Addie, Coltin, Reed, and Harper; one brother, John Miller of McPherson, KS; other relatives, and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 27, 2021 at the First United Methodist Church, Belleville, KS with Reverend Sang Hak Lee, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Belleville Cemetery.

The casket has been closed. Friends are welcome to sign the register book from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The family will greet friends prior to the services on Monday, September 27, 2021 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist, Belleville, KS.

Karen R. Sharp, 78, of Narka, Kansas was born September 20, 1943 in Minot, North Dakota to Jess and Lola Novak and passed away on September 26, 2021 at the Republic County Hospital, Belleville, KS.

Born in Sioux Falls South Dakota and currently resided in Narka, KS.

Karen attended school in Hopkinton, Iowa and Peru, Nebraska.

On May 20, 1972, she was united in marriage to Don G. Johnson and moved to Narka, KS in 1987 and shortly started Karen's Shoppe selling toys novelties and gifts. Karen was known as the "Jewelry Lady." They traveled from Texas&nbsp;to North Dakota for 25 years, working with carnivals, city celebrations, and craft shows. 

For nearly five years they hosted gospel singing groups at the Zion Evangelical Church in Munden, KS.

On October 15, 201,6 Karen married James Sharp, Sr. in Narka,&nbsp; KS.

James and Karen attended the Narka Presbyterian Church services and fundraisers.&nbsp;

Karen was a hard worker and always willing to help those in need. Karen was an avid animal lover and rescuer.&nbsp;Karen had many special friends including her neighbors, the Hasses. Karen was a grandmother figure to Kami Hasse her whole life, teaching Kami the same skills that her own father taught her at a young age including carpentry, jewelry making, sewing and playing cards. Karen viewed Mary Hasse and family as her own and attended holiday celebrations and birthdays. Karen enjoyed visits from Kami's children and always spoiled them with treats before sending them back home. 

Karen was proceeded in death by her parents, late husband Don G. Johnson and brother Frank Novak.

Karen is survived by her husband James Sharp, Sr., her friends and family in Narka KS, and brother Alvin (Janice) Novak of Eastland, Texas.

Cremation was chosen. There will be no visitation. 

Memorial services will be at a later time.

Chester Bennett “Chet” Chopp, the son of Frank H. Chopp and Gertrude (Morgan) Chopp, was born February 9, 1926 in rural Narka, KS and passed away on September 26, 2021 at the Belleville Health Care Center, Belleville, KS at the age of 95 years, 7 months, 17 days.

Chet grew up in rural Narka and attended the local public schools. He served with the U. S. Army during W WII as a Technician Fifth Grade with the 2nd Division 9th Infantry, serving overseas in France and Germany.&nbsp;&nbsp; After his honorable discharge in 1946, he returned to the family farm south of Narka. Chet was a farmer and stockman most of his life. He also drove a school bus for many years.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

On February 17, 1952, he was united in marriage to Norma Danielson and to this union was born Dennis, Ronald, and Brian. The couple made their home in rural Republic County for many years, moving to Cuba, KS in 2002 when Chet retired from farming.

He was a lifetime member and past commander&nbsp;of the Cuba American Legion Post #345&nbsp;and also a member of the Clyde VFW. He served on the National Cemetery Board and the Farmington Township Board for several years.

Chet was preceded in death by his parents, infant son Brian, brother Delbert (Marion) Chopp, and brother-in-law Marvin Danielson.

He is survived by his wife Norma Chopp of Cuba, KS; sons Dennis (Brenda) Chopp of Belleville, KS and Ronald (Dianna) Chopp of Narka, KS; grandchildren and great-grandchildren Rhonda (Jeff) Underhill and their children, Jeffrey &amp; Bennett; Janet (Brandon) Searls; Christina (Chris) Engelhardt and their children Anna &amp; Willow; sister-in-law Carol Danielson of Aurora, CO; nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Cremation was selected and memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 2, 2021 at the Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, with Pastor Phil Goombi, officiating.

Inurnment will follow at the National Cemetery, rural Narka, KS.

Military graveside will be conducted by the Ft. Riley Honor Guard and the Cuba American Legion Post #345.

A luncheon will be served following the graveside services at the Cuba American Legion Post # 345, Cuba, KS.

Friends may sign the register book from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 1 at the funeral home.

Richard L. Wolzen, son of Edwin (Swede) Wolzen and Glenva (Martin) Wolzen was born February 25, 1947 at McCook, Nebraska and passed away on September 27, 2021 at his home in Belleville, Kansas at the age of 74 years, 7 months and 2 days.

Richard served with the U. S. Navy. He was united in marriage to Nancy Huffman on July 14, 1973 and together they raised their two children, Spencer Lee and Becky Jean. He was employed by the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad, where he was a supervisor of the bridge and building until his retirement in 2002.

He was preceded in death by his father Edwin Wolzen, mother Glenva Hinkle, stepfather Ralph Hinkle, brother Gordon Neal Wolzen, brothers-in-law Dean and Clarence Beck, sister-in-law, Kristine Wolzen, and fathers-in-law, Neil Huffman and Norman Robertson.

He is survived by his wife Nancy Wolzen of Belleville, KS; son Spencer Wolzen (Belkin Gonzalez) of Lincoln, NE; daughter Becky (Kelly) Ulmer of Marysville, KS; two brothers, Kent Wolzen of Papillion, NE, Dennis (Roxane) Wolzen of Oxford, NE; two sisters, Carolyn Beck of St. Paul, NE, Joyce Beck of Alliance, NE; brother-in-law Dale Huffman; mother-in-law Dolores Robertson of Lexington, NE; sisters-in-law Linda Radtke of Omaha, NE, Kathy Wolzen of Wells, NV; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She worked as a wallpaper installer when the children were younger. She later worked on the assembly lines at three different mobile home factories. Ruth also worked for Femco and Modern Products (both of McPherson), and then for Goering Hardware in Moundridge. Ruth was born on February 22, 1930, in Harper County, Kansas, the daughter of Clyde William and Glorina Maybelle (Roach) McClaflin. She graduated from Salt City Business College, Hutchinson.

She was united in marriage to Arnold William “Bill” Allenbach on April 17, 1948, in Anthony, Kansas. This union was blessed with five children, Sandra (who was stillborn), Michael, Keith, Brenda, and Chrystle. On December 31, 1971, Ruth married Bob Lee Oltmanns at the First Baptist Church in McPherson. He preceded her in death on September 28, 2020. Ruth was an avid gardener and active in 4-H, judging food at the county and state fairs. She was on the planning and zoning board for the city of Moundridge for 20 years and the board at Pine Village for five years, along with volunteering for many other organizations and boards. Survivors include: four children, Michael Allenbach (Cindy) of Inman, KS, Keith Allenbach (Shelly) of Moundridge, KS, Brenda Allenbach of Moundridge, KS, and Chrystle Gehring (Jim) of Edmond, OK; half-sister LaDeene Wickersham (John) of Salina, KS; five grandchildren, Amanda Potts (Jim), Josh Allenbach (Kyla), Tammie Schmidt (John), Ann Lacey and Sarah Ruehlen; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many extended family and friends. Roberta Jean Peters was born on October 22, 1928 in Randall, Kansas, the daughter of Virgil Shamburg and Velma Sadler Shamburg Donnelly. She died Friday, September 24, 2021 at the Salina Regional Health Center at the age of 92.

She worked many years as a clerk and bookkeeper. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting, as she made several afghans for her family. She was a huge supporter of her children in 4-H and sporting events, where she was a great cheerleader. She passed on a great work ethic, as she taught many responsibilities of farm life. She was also known as a great cook, with the best meals during harvest.

Roberta loved travelling after retirement, and made it to almost every state. She also greatly loved polka dancing and playing cards, and remained active until recently.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Duane, Daniel, Leslie, Lenus, and Ronald Shamburg; sisters Edith Pilcher and Neva Maxfield; husband Paul Dillon; and daughter-in-law Denise Thompson.

Roberta is survived by her husband Albert Peters; sons Robert (Sara) Thompson and Matthew (Cathy) Dillon; daughters Patricia (John) Jacobs, Beth (Mikkel) Stensaas, Judith St. Clair, and Paula (Charles) Walters; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and sisters Lila Collette, Telva Swenson, and Linda Donnelly.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, October 1 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Glasco. Visitation will be from 2-7 p.m. with family present at 6 p.m., and a rosary service beginning at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Roberts Family Funeral Home in Beloit. 

Memorials may be given to the Church or Glasco Senior Center.

She died Friday, September 24, 2021 at the Salina Regional Health Center at the age of 92.She worked many years as a clerk and bookkeeper. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting, as she made several afghans for her family. She was a huge supporter of her children in 4-H and sporting events, where she was a great cheerleader. She passed on a great work ethic, as she taught many responsibilities of farm life. She was also known as a great cook, with the best meals during harvest.Roberta loved travelling after retirement, and made it to almost every state. She also greatly loved polka dancing and playing cards, and remained active until recently.She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Duane, Daniel, Leslie, Lenus, and Ronald Shamburg; sisters Edith Pilcher and Neva Maxfield; husband Paul Dillon; and daughter-in-law Denise Thompson.Roberta is survived by her husband Albert Peters; sons Robert (Sara) Thompson and Matthew (Cathy) Dillon; daughters Patricia (John) Jacobs, Beth (Mikkel) Stensaas, Judith St. Clair, and Paula (Charles) Walters; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and sisters Lila Collette, Telva Swenson, and Linda Donnelly.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, October 1 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Glasco. Jerry’s life began on December 9, 1931, in Humboldt. He was the son of Maynard and Hazel (Brooks) Puckett. Jerry is a graduate of Humboldt High School. He worked for many years as a welder on tank farms and throughout the oil industry.

Jerry was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed motocross and riding four-wheelers. He raced dirt track cars in Chanute and loved anything with four wheels and a motor. Jerry also enjoyed his CB radio and talking to all his CB friends.

His greatest joy was his family which includes his children Jerry A. (Sandra) Puckett, Jr. of Whitewater, Rick (Deanna) Puckett of Newton, and Tony Puckett of Kingwood, TX; grandchildren Brandon Puckett, Janie (Danny) Becker, Shelby (Tyler) Schroeder, Bailey Puckett, Sophie Puckett, Scout Puckett, and Drew Puckett; and great-grandchildren Conner, Makenzie, Rylee, Makilynn, Keaton, Ryker, Ripley, Jonathan, Levi, and Brayden.

Jerry passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at the Kansas Christian Home in Newton. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, great-granddaughter Carlee and siblings Blaine Puckett and Jerrine Puckett.

Jerry’s family will gather with friends on Saturday October 2, 2021, from 1 -2 p.m. at the Yazel-Megli Funeral Home, Hillsboro Chapel (902 E. D) where his funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. He will be laid to rest in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Humboldt at a later date.

He attended local schools until serving his country in the United States Army during World War II. He was a farmer first and a law enforcement officer, and for 20 years was a heavy equipment operator for Marion County. He was a life member of the VFW in Tampa and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. On October 17, 1953 he was united in marriage to Estelle Virleen Barrett in Florence, Kansas. She passed away on June 26, 1993.

Survivors include his daughter Kathleen Ann Bailey of Wichita, Mary Margaret Bailey-Metz of Ramona, sons Kevin Bailey of Abilene, Brendon Bailey of Ramona, five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his sons Collin, Sean, and infant son Damian Bailey, two brothers, three sisters, and his parents. Nathen passed away Monday, September 27, 2021 at the Memorial Hospital in Abilene.

Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Friday, October 1, 2021 at the Lewis Cemetery near Ramona with Reverend Clark Davis officiating. Friends may sign the register book at the funeral home Wednesday, and Thursday until 5:00 p.m.

Jolene Marie Foley passed away peacefully on September 27, 2021 while at Kenwood Nursing Home at 66 years, 9 months and 30 days of age. She was born to Theophile Marcotte, Jr. (Junior) and Ermalina Rudell on November 28, 1954 in Oakley, Kansas. After that marriage dissolved, Nadene took over the role of mother when she married Junior in 1957.

After Jolene graduated from Oakley High School in 1973, she moved to Salina, Kansas, where she met and married William “Bill” Foley on May 22, 1976. During their 45 year marriage they had three children.

Jolene worked a variety of jobs in Salina, often more than one at a time until her health declined. She was very involved in Special Olympics of Salina and served as treasurer for many years. Jolene was also known as the best hostess to many WWE Wrestling&nbsp; pay per view parties for James and friends.

The title she most treasured was Mom and Grandma Jo. Jolene was happy being a mother but when she became a grandmother, she was over the moon happy. She lit up whenever she spoke of Aaron, Aiden, Ansen and Chevelle Everett.

She was preceded in death by her parents Junior and Nadene Marcotte; sisters Betty Marcotte Gaydusek and Linda Marcotte Greenlee; stillborn brother Richard Neil; and brother Randy Huffman.

Jolene is survived by her husband Bill; children Rachel Everett (Ace), Hutchinson, KS, and James and Jessica Foley, of the home; grandchildren Ansen, Aiden, Aaron and Chevelle Everett; sister Karen Marcotte Foster (Curtis), LaVista, NE; brother Bill Huffman, Oakley; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be 1-5 p.m., Sunday, October 3, 2021, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina, with family present from 3-5. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Monday, October 4, at Ryan Mortuary. Interment will be at a later date at All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Salina.
