Bertha Joan Clark, 82, of McPherson, KS, peacefully passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022, surrounded by family at her home in McPherson. She was retired from Sanofi Winthrop Pharmaceutical/Abbott Laboratories in McPherson.
Bertha was born on August 28, 1939, in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Aldyth (McCall) and Thomas Presley McGinnis, Sr. On August 28, 1956, Bertha was united in marriage to Robert Louis Clark in Richmond, KS. They were married for 65 years before his passing on December 24, 2021.
Survivors include: two daughters, Tamera Alexander of Newton, KS and Coleen Haddox (Michael) of South Coffeyville, OK; a brother, Bill West (Jan) of Las Vegas, NV; a sister, Dorothy Malone of Richmond, MO; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three siblings, Lois White, John West, and Thomas “Sonny” McGinnis, Jr.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 11, 2022, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 12, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with Matt Hummingbird officiating.
