Keo O’Rourke, née Keo Helmke, was born August 17, 1932 to George Helmke and Rosa Bergner in a farm house three miles northeast of Iuka, KS. She was the youngest of five siblings, Dorothy Bales, Florence Curley, Flossie Ukena, and Ruth Lord, all deceased, and Benjamin Helmke of Ann Arbor, MI. She was raised during the depression on the family farm where she enjoyed singing hymns with her family and spending time outdoors. 

After graduating from high school in Pratt, she attended Bethany College in Lindsborg. 

It was at Bethany that she met Robert O’Rourke, and they married in 1953. They lived initially in Russell before moving to Iuka, Marion, Partridge, Galva, and eventually, Smith Center. In 1963 they added their son Michael to the family, followed soon thereafter by their son, Kerry, in 1965.

Keo earned her teaching certificate from Sterling College and began a career as an elementary school teacher, teaching several different grade levels during her career. After teaching in Canton, she spent most of her career in Smith Center. She was a creative and talented teacher who cared about her students and influenced many students over more than three decades of teaching.

In a life dedicated to service, Keo provided support for people through church and other organizations. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Lindsborg, becoming a Stephen Minister and visiting fellow parishioners and others in hospitals and skilled nursing facilities. 

After retiring, she would regularly read with elementary school children in Lindsborg, helping them develop their reading ability. For most of her adult life, she supported people of all ages who were struggling with family crises. After retiring from teaching, she expanded these efforts and took on several statewide leadership roles to further support those in need.

Family was fundamental for Keo. Along with Bob, she would travel to visit their sons and grandchildren, devoting most of their vacation time to building snowmen, making hamburger pie, and reading storybooks. She was excited about traveling around the United States, first with Bob and her sons and later with her niece and traveling companion, Pamela Bales. One of her last trips took her on a cruise to Alaska, which had long been a dream of hers. 

Music was also an important part of her life. After retiring from teaching in Smith Center and moving to Lindsborg, she sang alto in the Messiah choir for many years. Keo was a foodie, and cooking and baking were two central ways she communicated love to those around her. She was also essentially curious, always interested in learning about others and trying new things. Her curiosity led her to take courses at Bethany College after her retirement, including courses in philosophy, literature, and history.

Those who knew Keo admired her for her selflessness and concern for others. She was also known for her wry sense of humor, clever wit, and insight – she would on occasion talk trash during card games with her grandchildren, and she always gave as good as she got. Another trait that defined Keo was her fierce independence. It was this that helped her survive and recover from a head-on collision at highway speed in 2002. This car accident almost killed her, but she bounced back from it and continued to help others and make the world a better place.

Keo lived the last four years of her life at Riverview Estates in Marquette. She died in her sleep on Sunday, September 11, 2022. 

She is preceded in death by her husband Robert O’Rourke. 

She is survived by her sons Michael O’Rourke (Liela Rotschy) and Kerry O’Rourke, her grandchildren Sarah O’Rourke (Kerry) and Joshua, Lukas, and Natalie O’Rourke (Michael O’Rourke and Rebecca O’Rourke), and her great-grandchildren Lukas Jr. (Lukas O’Rourke and Yvette Carrillo) and Elijah (Joshua O’Rourke and Molly Schumer).

Her life will be celebrated in a service to be held at Bethany Lutheran Church in Lindsborg on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 10:30 a.m., followed by interment with Robert at Elmwood Cemetery.

SALINA -&nbsp;Leo Francis Beckman, 89, passed away September 15, 2022 at his home. He was born April 15, 1933 in Norton, Kansas to Joe and LaNeva (Weigant) Beckman.

Leo was married to Mary Lee (Mueting) on November 24, 1960. He was a U.S. Army veteran and had worked as a Registered Radiologic Technologist for 34 years in Kansas and Nebraska hospitals and Mowery Clinic in Salina. 

Leo was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Leo was also an honorary Fourth Degree Knight.

Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Mary Lee; three children, Denise (Kevin) Swiercinsky of Topeka, KS, Evan (Jeanne) Beckman of Las Cruces, NM, Lisa (John) Donart of Shawnee, KS; a sister, Rita Collette of Concordia, KS; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and relatives.

Leo was preceded in death by his parents Joe and LaNeva Beckman; and brother Robert Beckman.

A visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. with a rosary beginning at 6 p.m. on Monday, September 19, 2022 at Ryan Mortuary.&nbsp; Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. with a rosary at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 20th all at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Salina.&nbsp; Burial will follow at All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Salina, with military honors.

She was born May 23, 1931, in Bennington, KS., and grew up in Minneapolis, later, making her life in Abilene.&nbsp;

Edna was a CNA, and restorative aide for 28 years in nursing homes in and around the Abilene area.

She was preceded in death by her parents George D. and Grace (Liby) Burt, her first husband John Yeadon, Sr., second husband, and the love of her life, Tommy Rossiter, in 2008, and seven siblings.

Survivors include her daughters Jeanette Yeadon, Frances Schneider, Flora (Verlyn) Bergman, and Michelle Thigpen, all of Abilene, Judy (Michael) Tasker of Balsam Lake, Wisconsin, and a son, Johnny (Wendy C) Yeadon, Jr. of Salina, a brother-in-law, Carl Mustain of Oklahoma, 11 grandchildren, Christy Thigpen, Marie Thigpen, Jason Thigpen, Howard Schneider, Leon Schneider, Kelly Bergman, Mark Bergman, Wendy Zimmerman, Heather Milburn, Ian Fawley, Adam Fawley and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Susan Marie Anderson, “Suzie”, passed away at Kenwood View in Salina, KS on Thursday September 8,&nbsp;2022 at the age of 61 years.

Susan was born in Lincoln, Ks, on September 28th , 1960 to Dean and Bernedette (Nobert) Anderson.&nbsp;Susan attended grade school in Beverly, KS and went on to High School in Lincoln, KS. She then attended Brown Mackie College. Susan worked at Tony’s Pizza in Salina, KS and Cracker Barrel in Council Bluffs, IA.&nbsp;Susan’s favorite job however was working on the family farm as a teenager.

During her life Susan had many friends. She never met a stranger &amp; she never met a kid she didn’t like.&nbsp;She always saw the best the in the people she met.

Gerald Aaron “Red” Everhart, 88, of Lindsborg passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at Bethany Home.  Gerald was born May 25, 1934 in rural McPHerson County, KS to the late Basil and the late Dora (Nichols) Everhart.  

He married Lola M. "Vickie" Downey on June 16, 1954 at Bentonville, AR. 

Survivors include brothers: Wayth Everhart (Pat) of Assaria, KS and Lonnie Everhart (Marsha) of Tescott, KS;  as well as numerous extended family members.

Red is preceded in death by his parents; wife Vickie; and sister Dolores Young.

The funeral will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 16 at Crick-Christians Funeral Home, Lindsborg, with Pastor Jim Strassen officiating.  Burial will follow at Canton Cemetery, Canton, KS.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to the time of service at the funeral home.

Margaret I. “Irene” Bengtson, 105, of Lindsborg, passed away Monday, September 5, 2022 at Bethany Home, Lindsborg.  Irene was born August 31, 1917 in Oklahoma City, OK to the late Aaron and Sigrid (Schorling) Segerhammar.

Margaret I. (Irene) Bengtson was born on August 31, 1917 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to the Rev. Aaron and Sigrid (Schorling) Segerhammar. 

      The seventh of nine children, Irene spent her formative years in Kansas and Nebraska, including Burdick, Smolan and Omaha, before settling in Lindsborg in 1934. She graduated from Lindsborg High School in 1935 and Bethany College in Lindsborg in 1939.

      Irene was a country school teacher in both Saline and McPherson Counties for nearly 10 years. She rounded out her career at Lindsborg Elementary School, where she taught seventh and eighth grade English literature, history and science.

      Irene met the love of her life, Gilbert, at Luther League - a young adult church group - in 1947. Their courtship spanned over two years, including when Gilbert served his country during World War II. After he returned, the couple wed on June 10, 1949 - the day of her deceased parents’ wedding anniversary. Gilbert and Irene shared a love of sports, often attending college football and basketball games.

      The couple resided on the Bengtson family farm near Lindsborg for 37 years, where Gilbert farmed, and Irene played the role of farm wife and mother to their two sons, John and Don. 

      After raising her family, Irene returned to her love of educating others by working for the USD 400 Central Office, followed by the Swedish Country Inn. 

She was active at Bethany Lutheran Church and in the Lindsborg community, including WELCA, WestSide Club, Lindsborg Hospital Auxiliary, the Retired Teachers Association, and the Historical Society. She served as the long-time secretary of the Oratorio Society and sang in Handel’s Messiah at Bethany College for more than 60 years.

      Later in life, Irene enjoyed having coffee with friends and family, baking, hosting family dinners, watching the Kansas City Royals (she witnessed both World Series wins in 1985 and 2015), sharing her Swedish heritage with family, and attending her grandsons’ athletic and musical events.

      Though she never owned a cell phone or had an email address, Irene recalled three important events in her early years: polio was eradicated, penicillin was discovered, and the television was invented. She witnessed 19 presidents in office and fondly recalls the first man landing on the moon. 

      Many remember Irene’s sense of humor. Even on her 105th birthday, she joked, “What am I? 312?” She said the two things she regretted in life were that she never learned to swim or ride a bike. No matter how big of a meal she had, she always had room for ice cream.

      It is estimated that less than 1% of the world’s population lives past the age of 100. Known as a Centenarian, Irene was born when gasoline was 4 cents a gallon, a brand-new car cost $400, and the average wage was 22 cents an hour.  At her 100th birthday celebration, Irene declared that her next goal in life was to make it to 105, and she did just that. She will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.

      Irene passed away peacefully on September 5, 2022. She was preceded in death by Gilbert, her husband of 41 years; her parents; eight siblings; and many family members and friends.

      She is survived by her two sons John Bengtson and Don Bengtson (Kathey), both of Lindsborg, Kansas; her sister-in-law Bea Bengtson of Clarksville, Maryland; her four grandsons, Kenneth Bengtson of McPherson, Kansas, Brad Bengtson (Jessica) of McPherson, Kansas, Brian Bengtson of Lindsborg, Kansas, and Mark Bengtson (Courtney) of Wichita, Kansas; her eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members - all whom she loved dearly. 

Cremation has been chosen.  Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 19, 2022 at Bethany Lutheran Church, Lindsborg, with Pastor Chris Deines officiating.  Private family inurnment and committal services will be held before the memorial.

Marian Lea Turner, was born April 4, 1930 on the farmstead outside of Republic, Kansas, the daughter of Joseph and Bretta (Marshall) Evans.&nbsp;&nbsp; Marian passed away on September 12, 2022 at Republic County Hospital, at the age of 92 years, 5 months, and 7 days.

She grew up in the Republic, KS area, attending Morehead Grade School and later graduating from Republic High School in 1948.

She married Arthur “Dwayne” Turner on March 11, 1961 at the United Methodist Church, Republic, KS.

Marian worked for the grocery store in Republic after graduation and then the Safeway Grocery Store and Annex Café in Belleville, Kansas.&nbsp;&nbsp; She then worked for 44 years at NCK Electric (Rolling Hills) as a bookkeeper and billing clerk until her retirement in 1992.

She was the 1958 Wahoo, NE Rodeo Queen and an avid barrel racer, beginning at area rodeos and shows, scaling to a national level.&nbsp; She was a successful barrel racer at national events throughout Oklahoma, Texas, Nevada, Arkansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Colorado, and Kansas.

She was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, Kansas Quarter Horse Association, National Barrel Horse Assoc., Kansas Barrel Horse Assn., and the Old Timer’s Rodeo Assn. Marian continued riding and winning, completing her barrel racing career at the age of 82.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first cousins Charles Lacey and Kenneth Tuley; one stepsister, and three stepbrothers.

Marian is survived by her husband Dwayne Turner of Belleville, KS;&nbsp; cousins, other relatives; and numerous friends that are family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 16, 2022 at the Republic United Methodist Church, Republic, Kansas with Pastor Lance Rundus, officiating with eulogy by Joel Wimer.

Interment will be at the Washington Cemetery, rural Republic, KS.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m.until 8 p.m. on Thursday at the Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, Belleville, KS where the family will greet friends from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday.

Douglas Dean Coleman, the son of Frank E. Coleman and Opal M. (Brown) Coleman, was born August 2, 1925 in Greenwood, NE and passed away on September 8, 2022 at the Republic County Hospital, Belleville, KS at the age of 97 years, 1 month and 6 days.

Doug went to school in Greenwood, NE, Julian, NE, Bennett, NE, Lincoln, KS, Lucas, KS, and Salina, KS before moving to Marysville, KS.

Doug joined the U. S. Navy on October 14, 1943.&nbsp; He attended boot camp in Farragut, Idaho (also Gunners Mate School). While in the navy, he traveled to New Guinea, Philippians, China, Hawaiian Islands, Marshall Island and Bikini Island where he witnessed the atomic bombs (2) being tested. He was aboard the destroyer USS Turner DD832. He was transferred to the MacCaffery DD860 and then went to Hong Kong and Shanghai. When he was eligible for discharge, he returned to Alameda, CA naval air station where he was discharged on December 6, 1946.&nbsp;&nbsp; 

After his discharge, he returned to Washington, KS where he worked for Kansas Power and Light Company from October 29, 1947 until May 1, 1988, working for 40 years and 6 months.

Doug was introduced to Beverly M. Neal by a Navy friend in Marysville, KS.&nbsp; They were united in marriage at Washington Christian Church on September 25, 1948.

Doug was very active in the church and the community. He was a church deacon, Sunday School teacher, assistant Sunday School superintendent, elder and greeter.

He was on the Washington Fire Department for 38 years from 1950 – 1988, and was fire chief for many years. Doug also was a long time Lions Club member and a life member of the American Legion and VFW.&nbsp; In May of 2012, he attended the Honor Flight to Washington DC.

Doug enjoyed all the high school sport activities and was a big fan of Kansas State Sports.&nbsp;&nbsp; He also drove for USD 222 for 19 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Opal Coleman, his wife Beverly M. Coleman on January 31, 2022, daughter-in-law Tami Coleman; Brother, Harry J. Coleman, and sister Mary Alyce Coleman Latham.

Doug is survived by children Douglas D. (Lori) Coleman II of Manhattan, KS,&nbsp; Charles M. Coleman of Wakefield, KS, Jennifer A. (Tom) Jungck of Hastings, NE, and Lisa (Jeff) Noland of Belleville, KS;&nbsp; 10 grandchildren,&nbsp; Scott Coleman, Hayley Bieker, Shannon Kimbrough, Melody Rich, Jed Coleman, Orrin Coleman, Erica Neufeld, Jessica Rohan, Jamie Thomas, and Jackie Bryce; 19 great-grandchildren; one brother, Fred J. (Kathy) Coleman; sisters-in-law Julie Neal and Barbara Neal; other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 19, 2022 at the Central Christian Church, Belleville, Kansas.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 19, 2022 at the Washington City Cemetery, Washington, Kansas with military graveside rites by the U. S. Navy Honor Detail.

Michael Lee Godwin, 46, of Mcpherson, Kansas, passed away at 3:15 p.m, Tuesday, September 13th, 2022 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson, Kansas. Michael was born in McPherson, Kansas on August 20, 1976, a son of Allen Ray Brown and Judith Diane (Hill) Godwin and was adopted in 1980. Michael attended McPherson grade schools, McPherson Junior High and graduated from McPherson High School, McPherson, Kansas. He then attended Bethany College on a football and track scholarship, Lindsborg, Kansas where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in science in 1998. Michael was the owner and operator of Mac Movers Moving Company in McPherson. Michael Lee Godwin was united in marriage Jesse Jo Jones on June 3, 2000 in Canton, Kansas. This union was blessed with the birth of two daughters and a son, Peyton,Kenzee and Jace. He is survived by his wife Jesse Godwin, of McPherson, Kansas; his daughters Peyton Turner and Kenzee Godwin, of McPherson, Kansas; his son Jace Godwin, of McPherson, Kansas; his brother Matt Godwin of McPherson, Kansas, and his dad Allen Brown. Orlin Elwell Eigsti, age 96, passed away on September 12, 2022 at Newton Medical Center. Orlin was born October 8, 1925, near Wayland, Iowa. He was the oldest of five children born to Emery and Edna (Wenger) Eigsti. After him came Doris (Dean) Meyer, Ruth (Delmar) Miller, Marilyn Eigsti and Mervin (Ardith) Eigsti. Orlin attended school, through high school, in the Wayland Iowa Consolidated School District. Along with basketball and baseball, he played the cornet in the school band. Orlin accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized at the age of 13. He was a member of Sugar Creek Mennonite Church, Wayland, Iowa, where he served as Sunday School superintendent, MYF sponsor, and elder. On February 22, 1948, he married his life-long sweetheart, Ina Mae Freyenberger, at the same farm house which served as their family home. It was there that they raised their sons. Daniel Joe was born in 1949 and Thomas Lee (Paula) in 1950. In addition to farming the family farm, Orlin served dozens of families and school children, for many years as a bus driver. In 1969, Orlin and Ina held a farm auction and began a courageous adventure of service to others. This service took them to Richmond, Virginia as houseparents to young adult volunteers, Frontier Boys Village, Larkspur, Colorado, as houseparents for emotionally disturbed boys and Elkhart, Indiana with Mennonite Board of Missions. By 1977, a job opening in the grounds department at Hesston College lured the farmer in Orlin. This led to relocating to Hesston, Kansas. He worked the grounds department for 11 years at the college and 11 years at Stutzman Retreat Center. During this time, Orlin became a member of Hesston Mennonite Church where he contributed faithfully for over 40 years. After retiring in 1999, he and Ina moved into independent living at Schowalter Villa. He continued to serve by volunteering for the Et Cetera Shop, Meals on Wheels, Methodist Youthville. He also provided transportation for Schowalter Villa residents who were unable to drive to appointments. In 2015, Orlin and Ina moved to an assisted living apartment within the Schowalter Villa complex. He continued living there until his death. His upbeat personality, positive perspective, and trust in God, strengthened him through life challenges and brought joy and inspiration to everyone around him. His heart for service endeared him to many and brings a legacy of blessing to his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by wife Ina; sister-in-law Ardith Eigsti; sons Dan and Tom; daughter-in-law Paula; grandchildren Cherise (Chad) Fidler, Shanna (Micah) Beachy, Melissa (Cory) Lamb, Chad (Sondra) Eigsti and Nathan (Courney) Eigsti; as well as 10 great-grandchildren. Judith Susan Schmidt,77, was born February 8, 1945 in McPherson, Kansas, the daughter of Theresia Schmidt Bishop. She grew up in Canton, Kansas, along with her brother Anthony and attended school there. 

During her youth, Judith enjoyed spending time with cousin Jackie playing paper dolls, of which she had a huge collection, and churning homemade butter while the women in the family baked bread. She also enjoyed the friendships she shared with Alice, Roberta and Sharon. 

In her later years, Judith resided in care homes in Haviland and Onaga, Kansas. 

She was a devoted sister to her brother Tony and kept in close contact with him throughout the years. She also continued the close relationship with her cousin Jackie, even though they lived many miles apart. Judith entered into eternal rest on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at the Onaga Hospital in Onaga, Kansas after many years of failing health.

She is survived by her brother Tony of Canton; her guardian Kay Smith of Westmoreland, Kansas and numerous cousins and friends. 

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 19, 2022 at Canton Township Cemetery.

He married Eva “Jean” Blair in Mankato, KS on September 5, 1948. She preceded him in death on May 23, 2015. 

Jack is survived by one son Douglas Reboul and daughter Nancy Cooper, both of Clay Center, five granddaughters and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.&nbsp;

Jack had a 30-year government career.&nbsp; He started as a mail carrier and clerk at the Clay Center Post Office in 1955.&nbsp; In 1972 he became postmaster in Green, KS and was named postmaster in Washington, KS in 1978.&nbsp; He spent 2 years in the Army Air Corps. during WWII.&nbsp; After retiring in 1984, Jack worked as the mail clerk in the Installation Detention Facility in Fort Riley, KS for five years. 

He was a member of the United Methodist Church, American Legion, National Association of Postmasters, and was a charter member and past Exalted Ruler of the local Elks Lodge. 

In addition to his wife Jack is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Joe. &nbsp;

There will be no visitation and a private family inurnment at Greenwood Cemetery will take place at a later date.&nbsp;

Michael Dale Schoning, age 60, was born on September 18, 1961 in Clay Center, Kansas to Delbert and Joneen (McDonald) Schoning. 

He grew up in Grundy Center and spent his time at the Schoning Feed &amp; Supply store with his dad and grandfather. He graduated from Grundy Center High School in 1981. 

He was the best driver anyone knew, sports car, motorcycle, or big rig;&nbsp; he gave many friends, nephews, and his kids their first driving lessons. &nbsp;

He spent the last 18 years with his best friend Denise Smith, they were&nbsp;married on April 16, 2010.&nbsp;

Mike loved spending time with his family and especially his grandkids, he was such a proud Papa. He had a great love of music and rock bands and he shared that with us all. He was the coolest Papa around with an amazing moustache and ponytail that always seemed to gather attention. He loved watching old tv shows we all thought were awful and rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs. He was a loving and supportive husband, father, son, brother, and grandfather that will be deeply missed.

He is survived and missed by his loving wife Denise; mother Joneen Schoning; children Lauren (Joe) Clark of Madrid, Iowa, Sara (Travis) Ugland of Sioux Falls, SD, Brittany Schoning, Overland Park, Ks, Rikki Yeager of Carthage, NY and Brianna (Rusty) Rader of Kansas City, KS. He will be greatly missed by his nine grandchildren, Madison, Timmy, Jaiden, Henry, Makaio, Grace, Wyatt, Winnie, and June. He is also survived by his two sisters Michelle (Rick) Johnson of Ames, IA and Melissa (Jon) Tozier of Conifer, CO and a host of nephews and cousins.

He grew up in Grundy Center and spent his time at the Schoning Feed &amp; Supply store with his dad and grandfather. He graduated from Grundy Center High School in 1981. He was the best driver anyone knew, sports car, motorcycle, or big rig;&nbsp; he gave many friends, nephews, and his kids their first driving lessons. &nbsp;He spent the last 18 years with his best friend Denise Smith, they were&nbsp;married on April 16, 2010.&nbsp;Mike loved spending time with his family and especially his grandkids, he was such a proud Papa. He had a great love of music and rock bands and he shared that with us all. He was the coolest Papa around with an amazing moustache and ponytail that always seemed to gather attention. He loved watching old tv shows we all thought were awful and rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs. He was a loving and supportive husband, father, son, brother, and grandfather that will be deeply missed.He is survived and missed by his loving wife Denise; mother Joneen Schoning; children Lauren (Joe) Clark of Madrid, Iowa, Sara (Travis) Ugland of Sioux Falls, SD, Brittany Schoning, Overland Park, Ks, Rikki Yeager of Carthage, NY and Brianna (Rusty) Rader of Kansas City, KS. He will be greatly missed by his nine grandchildren, Madison, Timmy, Jaiden, Henry, Makaio, Grace, Wyatt, Winnie, and June. He is also survived by his two sisters Michelle (Rick) Johnson of Ames, IA and Melissa (Jon) Tozier of Conifer, CO and a host of nephews and cousins.Michael is preceded in death by his father Delbert Schoning, his grandparents Walter and Pauline Schoning and Johnny and Evelyn McDonald.&nbsp;&nbsp;A memorial will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Highland Park Funeral Home in Kansas City. Nadine attended and graduated from Lost Spring High School.&nbsp; 

She was united in marriage to Norman W. Lee on June 6, 1954.&nbsp; 

Nadine worked as the office manager for the local John Deere dealership and for a local accounting firm.&nbsp; 

She is survived by her two sons Ralph (Pamela) Lee of Junction City and Charles (Diane) Lee of Green Valley, IL; grandchildren Billy and Jennifer Chavis, Helen and Darin Lee and great-grandchildren Ezra Extell and Blake Chavis.&nbsp; 

Nadine passed away at Diversacare of Council Grove on Tuesday September 13, 2022.&nbsp; 

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.&nbsp; 

A graveside memorial service will be held at Diamond Springs Cemetery at a later date.&nbsp;

Linda’s life began on September 13, 1950, in Parrish, Alabama. She is the daughter of John Neighbors and Priscilla Thacker. 

Linda worked as a CNA. She also worked in the mobile home manufacturing business and as a rancher.

 Linda loved old movies, especially Godzilla movies, and collected dragon figurines. She was a pet lover with two cats and a dog. 

She is survived by her son Christopher (April Diehl) Moyer of White City, grandson Clarence (Briannah) Lewis, great-grandchildren Annabelle, Clarence, Jr., and Christian. 

Linda passed away at her home on Friday, September 9, 2022. 

She is preceded by her parents and two spouses, Donald Moyer and John Shope. 

Her family will gather with friends on Saturday, September 17, 2022, from 1-3 p.m. at Yazel Megli Funeral Home, Herington. She will be laid to rest at a later date in White City Cemetery.

She is the daughter of John Neighbors and Priscilla Thacker. Linda worked as a CNA. She also worked in the mobile home manufacturing business and as a rancher. Linda loved old movies, especially Godzilla movies, and collected dragon figurines. She was a pet lover with two cats and a dog. She is survived by her son Christopher (April Diehl) Moyer of White City, grandson Clarence (Briannah) Lewis, great-grandchildren Annabelle, Clarence, Jr., and Christian. Linda passed away at her home on Friday, September 9, 2022. She is preceded by her parents and two spouses, Donald Moyer and John Shope. Her family will gather with friends on Saturday, September 17, 2022, from 1-3 p.m. at Yazel Megli Funeral Home, Herington. She will be laid to rest at a later date in White City Cemetery.
