Maxine Gladys (Moses) Jellison, 91, passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, January 17, 2023, at Memorial Health in Abilene, Kansas.

Maxine was born September 19, 1931, to William and Juanita (Flack) Moses in McCracken, Kansas. She attended school in McCracken, Kansas until the family moved to Salina where she then attended Salina High School.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, infant brother Robert Keith, brother Richard Moses, nephew Rick Moses, and son Curtis Crough.

She is survived by her daughter Terri Johnson (Gary) of rural Salina, daughter-in-law Lisa Crough of McPherson; her grandchildren Tyler Johnson (Jenn Wicks) of Salina, Kelley VanDeCreek (Rob) of Solomon, Lacey Meier (Adam) of KCMO, and Allison Curran (Ryan) of McPherson; eight great-grandchildren, Haleigh, Tate, Amelia, Claire, Owen, Liam, Cece, and Penny; two nieces Cheryl Konzem (Gail) of Salina, and Janet Moody (Jack) of Flagstaff, Arizona.

Cremation is planned and a private family service will be held at a later date.

The family asks in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Solomon Public Library, P.O. Box 246, Solomon, Kansas 67480 in memory of Maxine.
