MANHATTAN, Kan.&nbsp;–&nbsp;Highlighted by fan-favorite traditions and community celebrations, K-State Athletics unveiled the official theme games for the 2025 football season at Bill Snyder Family Stadium on Tuesday.

The 2025 home slate features six games in Manhattan, each with a unique gameday theme designed to enhance the atmosphere and showcase the pride and tradition of K-State Football. Fans are encouraged to mark their calendars and secure their seats for this fall.

Single-game tickets for the 2025 season go on sale exclusively to Ahearn Fund members on Tuesday, June 10, while the public on-sale begins Tuesday, June 17.

A full breakdown of the 2025 theme games is below:

Saturday, August 30 – vs. North Dakota

• Stripe Out: Help stripe out Bill Snyder Family Stadium. Fans are encouraged to wear either purple or white based on their section to create a bold visual statement in the stands. More information will be released in conjunction with the single-game ticket on-sale on June 10.

Saturday, September 6 – vs. Army

• Fort Riley Day: Celebrate and honor the soldiers and families of Fort Riley. Fort Riley Day includes a day-long tribute to K-State’s military partnership, featuring service members, military vehicles and special in-game recognitions.

Saturday, September 27 – vs. UCF

• Celebrate Ag Day: Join us in recognizing the agriculture industry that drives our state and supports our communities. Celebrate Ag Day will highlight Kansas farmers, ranchers and ag leaders during pregame and throughout the game.

• Homecoming: Be part of a beloved K-State tradition as K-State welcomes alumni, students and friends back to Manhattan. The week-long celebration concludes with a packed Bill Snyder Family Stadium on game day.

Saturday, November 1 – vs. Texas Tech

• Harley Day: Start your engines as this fan favorite is back for another year. More than 100 motorcycles will rumble around the field in a thunderous pregame lap you won’t want to miss.

Saturday, November 29 – vs. Colorado

• Senior Day: Honor the Wildcat seniors in their final home game at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. A pregame ceremony will recognize their dedication and contributions to K-State Football.

K-State Athletics Announces Theme Games for 2025 Football Season

The Southeast of Saline softball team secured yet another NCAA league title on Monday, securing a split in a Trojan War with Beloit.

SES would claim a 12-3 victory in game one before Beloit came back to take the regular season finale 6-4.

Game One: SE of Saline 12, Beloit 3

The Lady Trojans knew from the jump that they needed just one league win to claim the crown, and wasted no time making it happen, plating two runs in the first, another in the third and fifth, and four in the fourth and seventh.

Kyiah Samualson was lethal at the plate, finishing her day 3-5 with 4 RBI and three runs scored.

Everyone got in on the fun as eight different Lady Trojans recorded a hit, and four drove in at least one run.

Karlee Zurfluh was excellent in the circle, allowing just two earned runs, issuing no walks, and recording seven strikeouts, the last of which was a game-winner and her 100th of the season.

Game Two: Beloit 6, SE of Saline 4

Beloit would have the last laugh in this series, coming back with a four-run fifth inning to flip a 4-2 deficit into a 6-4 lead.

From there, pitching would allow Beloit to hold on for the win as the Southeast came up empty in the sixth and seventh innings.

Despite ending the season on a loss, Southeast of Saline will be riding high going into regionals, as undisputed league champs at 11-1, and with an overall record of 20-4.

SES will be the one seed in the Silver Lake regional, while Beloit (15-8) will enter the Minneapolis regional as the two seed.

🥎 SES claims NCAA crown, 1-seed at regionals with split at Beloit

GRINNELL, Iowa – Grinnell College women’s tennis player Lily Perrin ’25 has left her mark on the school record book.

Perrin completed her collegiate career as the school’s all-time leader in doubles victories with 81. She ranks 11th in career singles wins with 58 and her combined 139 victories are just four shy of the school record.

“Tennis has given me so many wonderful experiences. I have met incredible people and played some tough competitors. I am proud to have had so much success at Grinnell,” Perrin said.

Her collegiate career ended on Saturday in the second round of the NCAA Division III Women’s Tennis Championships in St. Louis, MO. Grinnell was eliminated with a 4-0 loss to eventual regional winner Washington University.

On Friday, Perrin got her final doubles win which helped Grinnell College to a 4-1 victory over the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in the first round. Perrin was competing in the NCAA tournament with the Grinnell women’s team for the fourth straight year.

Perrin, a Sacred Heart graduate, was the 2020 Class 3-2-1A Singles State Champion and helped the Knights win the team championship that year.

UPLAND, Ind. - The Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes trailed No. 2 seeded and No. 17 ranked Bellevue 3-1 heading into the seventh inning of Monday's NAIA Opening Round game at Winterholter Field at Taylor University.

The Coyotes, who have come back in late game situations several times, were ready to do it again.

Wesleyan got a seventh inning homer by <a href="http://kwucoyotes.com/services/go.ashx/29bd1823-e61e-4e96-a5ec-f37c3860dd3c?elinkdata=26645">Blake Dale</a>, and two 2-run shots by <a href="http://kwucoyotes.com/services/go.ashx/bbe25a25-31ef-44bc-a35e-4d5774ce93a0?elinkdata=26645">Garrett Garfield</a> and <a href="http://kwucoyotes.com/services/go.ashx/eb07ba63-0fe9-4375-ace1-3d7dae16738f?elinkdata=26645">Carter Allen</a> in the eighth to complete the rally and pick up a 6-4 win over the Bruins.

The victory moves the Coyotes along in the winner's bracket of the Opening Round, where they will face top-seeded and No. 9 ranked Taylor on Tuesday at 3 p.m. Central, 4 p.m. Eastern time. Taylor beat Grand View 13-3 in Monday's other first round game.

The Coyotes opened with a 1-0 lead in the top of the first. Garfield singled with two outs and then scored when <a href="http://kwucoyotes.com/services/go.ashx/1fc0f40b-dd61-48dc-a9e5-665bd207b29f?elinkdata=26645">Fernando Ruvalcaba</a> singled and a throwing error would bring in Garfield.

Bellevue jumped into the lead 2-1 in the bottom of the fourth inning on a 2-run homer and in the sixth inning pushed the lead out to 3-1 on a sacrifice fly.

Then it was Wesleyan's turn. Dale brought the Coyotes within a run in the top of the seventh on a solo homer and the Coyotes took the lead in the eighth.

⚾️ Coyotes rally past Bellevue for 6-4 win in first game of Opening Round

WICHITA, Kan. (<a href="http://kwucoyotes.com/services/go.ashx/4b0da90a-b3b9-4167-9cf5-7e1163269c99?elinkdata=26614">2024-25 Commissioner's Cup Standings</a>) - Kansas Wesleyan University has won the KCAC Commissioner's Cup for the 2024-25 academic year, the conference office announced Monday.

This marks the fifth time the Coyotes have taken home the KCAC Commissioner's Cup in the award's history (dating back to the 2012-13 academic year), and the fifth time in the past six years that Kansas Wesleyan has earned this honor. This year's Commissioner Cup win is also the third straight win for KWU, something that no other institution has done in the history of the award.

"KWU Athletics is honored to once again earn the Commissioner's Cup," <a href="http://kwucoyotes.com/services/go.ashx/db910da8-d5a7-4f4e-81f6-dc647158850f?elinkdata=26614">Miguel Paredes</a>, Athletic Director at Kansas Wesleyan University, remarked. "This win belongs to everyone in the Coyote family, the Salina community, our alumni, faculty, staff and our university leadership. This goes to show our commitment to excellence in everything we do, from top to bottom. Our student-athletes, the coaches and our staff are top-notch and have dedicated countless hours to making us the best we can be. The Coyotes led the conference with 185.5 total points, with 66 accumulated in the fall season, 44 picked up in the winter, and 75.5 accumulated in the spring. Friends University was not far behind in the standings, finishing second with 180 points. The third and fourth place institutions were only separated by half a point, with Evangel University finishing third with 162.5 points and the University of Saint Mary taking home fourth place with 162 points. Rounding out the top five was Ottawa University with 156 total points.

In an effort to further recognize the achievements of its student-athletes and member institutions, the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference developed an award for the institution that performs the greatest over the fall, winter, and spring athletic seasons. The KCAC Commissioner's Cup will be awarded annually as a symbol of excellence in athletics representing 20 championships. Member institutions can earn points for their finish of each varsity team in those 20 officially recognized conference sports.

Points are assigned based on regular-season finish for men's and women's soccer, volleyball, men's and women's basketball, baseball, softball, and men's and women's tennis. In football, points are assigned based on overall conference record in the regular season. In competitive cheer, competitive dance, cross country, indoor track &amp; field, men's and women's golf, and outdoor track &amp; field, the conference championship meet results will determine point values. To be a conference sport there must be six member institutions competing in that sport at the varsity level.

Teams who finish in first place will be awarded a maximum number of points equivalent to the total number of teams competing in that respective sport. Point tallies will continue in reverse order until the last place team has been awarded its corresponding point value (i.e. if a sport only has seven teams, point values will be given from the maximum 7 to 1). When two or more teams tie for final placing in the conference standings, each team will be awarded the average of the respective placing. For example, if three teams tied for second place in a sport with 11 teams, those three teams will be given the score of nine points because those three teams are occupying the second (10 points), third (9 points) and fourth (8 points) positions in the standings. The sum of those three positions (27 points) divided by the three teams yields an average score of nine points for each of the teams.

Kansas Wesleyan claims KCAC Commissioner's Cup for third straight year

HOUSTON (AP) — Bobby Witt Jr. and Jonathan India each drove in two runs to help Michael Wacha and the Kansas City Royals beat the Houston Astros 7-5 on Monday night.

Michael Massey homered as Kansas City improved to 8-2 in its last 10 games. India finished with three hits, and Witt, Vinnie Pasquantino and Kyle Isbel each had two.

Wacha (3-4) allowed two runs and eight hits in 6 1/3 innings. Carlos Estévez got three outs for his 12th save.

Massey sparked Kansas City's four-run second with a leadoff drive against rookie Ryan Gusto (3-2) for his second homer. India hit a two-out RBI single and scored on Witt's first triple of the season. Pasquantino added a run-scoring single.

The Royals added three more in the third. Drew Waters and India each hit an RBI single, and Witt drove in Waters with a sacrifice fly.

Jake Meyers had two hits and scored two runs for Houston, which had won three of four.

Zach Dezenzo hit an RBI double in the seventh for the Astros, and Jeremy Peña added a sacrifice fly. Meyers' RBI single helped his team close to 7-5 in the eighth.

Gusto allowed seven hits and walked three in 2 1/3 innings.

Jose Altuve hit a leadoff single in the ninth for Houston. But Isaac Paredes flied out, Christian Walker struck out and Yainer Diaz flied out.

Wacha entered with the least run support among starters at 1.79 runs per game. The Royals had not scored more than two runs with him on the mound in any of his eight starts.

LHP Kris Bubic (4-2, 1.69 ERA) starts on Tuesday for the Royals against LHP Framber Valdez (2-4, 3.94 ERA).

Chiefs single-game tickets go on sale Thursday

The Southeast of Saline baseball team picked up a crucial sweep of the Lyons Lions on Thursday to continue their rapid ascent and put themselves on the brink of winning an NCAA league title.

CORRECTION (5/12): Due to an early regional start, Southeast of Saline's games with Beloit will not be made up on Monday. As a result, the Trojan season concludes with a 9-1 league record (.900) while Sacred Heart's league campaign finishes at 10-2 (.833).&nbsp;

The Trojans have been good in pitchers' duels this season, and Thursday was no exception, as SES found a run in the second, third, and fourth before riding out their arms and defense to a big game one win.

UPLAND, Ind. - It will be a sea of purple this week in the Upland Bracket of the NAIA Baseball National Championship Opening Round at Taylor University.

Three of the four institutions playing in the tournament use purple as their primary color (Taylor, KWU, Bellevue) including a first round match-up between Kansas Wesleyan and Bellevue (Neb.).

Games begin on Monday, May 12 and run through May 15 at Winterholter Field at Taylor University. KWU takes on No, 17 ranked and No. 2 seed in the bracket, Bellevue at Noon Eastern, 11 a.m. Central, followed by top-seeded Taylor taking on fourth-seeded Grand View at 4 p.m. Eastern, 3 p.m. Central.

Kansas Wesleyan earned the spot in the Opening Round after sharing the KCAC Regular Season Championship with Oklahoma Wesleyan with a 30-6 record in conference play. The Coyotes continued on to win the KCAC Tournament with a 7-4 win over Tabor College in the championship game. It's KWU's second KCAC Tournament win since 2022.

KWU is making its fourth straight appearance in the Opening Round and seventh appearance all-time. KWU earned its first NAIA World Series berth in 2024 winning the Shreveport Bracket. KWU has twice been one win away from the World Series in Opening Round play in 2009 and 2011.

The Coyotes hit a collective .306 as a team, which ranks No. 54 nationally. KWU has 514 hits overall which ranks No. 43 nationally. KWU's team slugging average of .556 ranks No. 14 in the NAIA. KWU ranks No. 8 in the NAIA in homeruns with 93 and No. 11 in total extra base hits with 215. KWU ranks No. 6 in the NAIA in walks with 312.

<a href="http://kwucoyotes.com/services/go.ashx/375f63cb-1c0d-4c42-89db-70ac6a147ead?elinkdata=26583">Tyler Favretto</a> leads the Coyote hitters with a .432 batting average and is tied for the NAIA lead in walks with 61 on the season. He leads the NAIA in on-base percentage at .591 and has a .781 slugging average highlighted by 14 homeruns and a total of 34 extra base hits.

Wesleyan's pitching staff is anchored by <a href="http://kwucoyotes.com/services/go.ashx/3d787d3e-499c-4320-aeb6-024a088cdec2?elinkdata=26583">Brett Maddock</a> with an 11-2 record overall, tossing 98.1 innings and a 4.03 ERA. Maddock ranks No. 71 in the NAIA in WHIP at 1.37 among all pitchers who have thrown at least one inning per team game. He ranks No. 30 in the NAIA in strikeouts with 74.

Taylor University Trojans enter the Opening Round with a No. 9 NAIA ranking in the final poll and a 46-9 record. Taylor won the Crossroads League Regular Season and Tournament titles and are making their fourth straight appearance in the Opening Round.

As a team, Taylor hits .335 and has hit 81 homeruns and boasts a .553 slugging average. Taylor ranks third in the NAIA in walks as a team with 354 which is third best in the NAIA.

Kaleb Kolpien leads Taylor with a .428 batting average with 92 hits on the season and 70 RBI.

Gabel Pentecost leads the Taylor pitching staff with a 2.75 ERA and a 12-1 record. In 75 innings pitched. He has a 1.06 WHIP and 108 strikeouts on the season which ranks fifth in the NAIA.

Bellevue University Bruins enter the Opening Round coming off of winning the North Star Athletic Association Regular Season and Conference Championships. Bellevue is ranked No. 17 in the NAIA Final Poll, and is 40-13 heading into Monday's first round games.

The Bruins hit .324 as a team which ranks No. 35 in the NAIA. They carry a .553 slugging average and have hit 91 homeruns on the season which ranks No. 9 in the NAIA. Their 563 hits ranks No. 16 in the NAIA.

Bellevue's pitching staff has a team ERA of 4.47 on the season, ranking No. 14 nationally. Their 1.38 WHIP ranks No. 14 nationally.

Steven Elsner leads Bellevue with a .378 batting average and a .835 slugging average. His 23 homeruns ranks fourth best in the NAIA. Scott Hansen leads Bellevue with 72 hits.

Parker McMan has Bellevue's best ERA among starters at 2.38 in 79.1 innings, while Jace Wessels has the team best ERA at 2.25 in 60 innings, 14 appearances and seven starts. McMan leads the Bruins in strikeouts with 77.

Grand View comes into the Opening Round as the only school that was not in the 2024 Opening Round field. The Vikings got an at-large bid this season after winning the Heart of America Regular Season Championship.

⚾️ Kansas Wesleyan will face No. 2 seed Bellevue in Upland Bracket of NAIA Opening Round

Kansas Wesleyan women's golf coach <a href="http://kwucoyotes.com/services/go.ashx/96f4317a-a03a-4968-adbc-9099bdb1189e?elinkdata=26552">Wes Lawhorn</a> has a specific and special goal in mind for his team in next week's 30th annual NAIA National Championship at Eagle Crest Golf Club in Ypsilanti, Mich.

"Our ladies have always been very competitive by nature," he said. "They've had a taste of winning at the (Kansas) Conference level and I think they're all very hungry to go out there and make the cut for the first time in program history. It's going to be exciting to watch."

The Coyotes qualified for nationals by winning the KCAC Tournament last week in Joplin, Mo. They easily defended their 2024 title with a 40-shot victory at Twin Hills Golf and Country Club.

NAIA play begins on Tuesday with the opening round followed by the second round on Wednesday. Following the first two rounds the field will be cut to the top 15 teams (plus ties) and six individuals who have not already made the cut with their teams (plus ties).

The Coyotes tee off on hole No. 10 at 11:50 a.m. Central time on Tuesday and hole No. 1 at 6:50 a.m. on Wednesday. They are paired with Coastal Georgia and Our Lady of the Lake (Texas) both days.

Lawhorn is confident his team is ready for the challenge.

"We have a great group of student-athletes who day in, and day out put in time, dedication and hard work to allow themselves to be prepared at that stage to compete and showcase their abilities," he said. "We've been working the last few weeks on the mental side of the approach to the game. How can we play to our strengths and how can we try to avoid some of our weak areas? The main thing is just go out and compete."

Senior <a href="http://kwucoyotes.com/services/go.ashx/f47d297b-9214-416c-aa55-9b2d913cdcf9?elinkdata=26552">Abby Donovan</a>, the KCAC Player of the Year, leads the way. She won the individual conference championship with a 54-hole 234 score and was the lone player to shoot in the 70s in all three rounds.

"Her work ethic, time, dedication," Lawhorn said of Donovan's attributes. "You never have to wonder if Abby is going to be at practice or if she's not going to be working on her craft outside of practice. She eats, sleeps and breathes golf and it's very evident by her success both on and off the golf course. She's finishing up her master's degree here and has been in the top five every single tournament this year."

KWU Women's Golf ready for challenges of NAIA National Championships

Kansas Wesleyan quarterback <a href="http://kwucoyotes.com/services/go.ashx/7da49f1c-6bd6-4d85-9e14-f05ba95ac84d?elinkdata=26521">Chihiro Iwata</a> was named as the KCAC Flag Football Co-Player of the Year headlining KWU's picks to the All-KCAC Flag Football teams as selected by conference coaches and announced by the conference office.

Iwata was named Co-Player of the Year along with Ottawa's fifth-year quarterback Madysen Carrera. In conference play, Iwata was phenomenal, completing 67.6 percent of passes and throwing for 2044 yards in nine conference games. She averaged 227.1 yards per game, and threw for 38 touchdowns and just two interceptions. She led the KCAC in yards per game, total yards passing, completions, attempts and touchdowns. Her efforts also earned her First Team All-KCAC honors.

Aaliyah Wood was named to the All-KCAC first team both as a receiver and a defensive back, excelling at both positions during the conference season. She led the KCAC in total receiving yards during conference play with 550 and was fourth in the conference in touchdown receptions with eight. Her 48 receptions during conference play ranked second in the KCAC and her 61.1 yards per game led the KCAC and her 11.5 yards per catch ranked No. 24 in the KCAC. Defensively she had four interceptions during conference play that ranked No. 4 in the KCAC and had four pass breakups, ranking No. 14 in the conference.

Opposing offenses tried to find ways to neutralize Mansur's excellent defensive skills, but were widely unsuccessful in their efforts.

She ranked No. 11 in the KCAC in interceptions with three during conference play and ranked No. 14 in pass breakups with four.

On offense, she had eight catches during conference play for 99 yards and two touchdowns.

It’s hard to lose when your opponent never scores; a lesson the Southeast of Saline softball team took to heart in a pair of shutout victories over Lyons on Thursday that put them one win away from another NCAA title.

Game One: SE of Saline 10, Lyons 0

The opener had pitchers' duel written all over it as SES led just 3-0 going into the bottom of the fourth, but the Lady Trojan bats got hot, scoring seven and closing out a game one victory in just five innings.

Reese Heinrich and Kimber Ogorzolka each drove in two runs on two hits, leading the charge at the plate for Southeast.

In the circle, Carlee Dye and Madelyn McFadden dominated the Lady Lion lineup, surrendering just two hits and one walk in five innings of shutout ball.

As it has been all season, that pitching was backed up by a phenomenal defensive effort that once again failed to record even a single error in the win.

SES picked up right where they left off in game two, plating two runs in the first, three in the third, and two more in the fourth to take a 7-0 lead.

Lyons would keep any further runs off the board, but would not add any of their own, falling in a second-straight shutout on the day.
