Tuesday night saw another Southeast sweep as the Trojans and Lady Trojans took down Ellsworth, gaining some much-needed momentum ahead of the final game of the regular season.

Girls: SE of Saline 51, Ellsworth 37
Ellsworth hung around for the majority of three quarters, but a strong finish at the free throw line propelled Southeast to victory as the Lady Trojans won their second straight.
Both teams started slow out of the gate, with SES holding an 8-6 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Three-pointers dictated the first half, with the Lady Trojans sinking five to stretch the lead to four at the halftime break.
In the third quarter, Southeast spread the wealth as five different players knocked down a shot from the field, helping SES push the lead to eight at the end of the third, before shooting 9-10 at the line in the fourth to put the game away.
Three Lady Trojans ended the night in double figures, led by Abigail Pearson (15), Reese Heinrich (10), and Kyiah Samuelson (10).
Elyse Haxton led the charge for Ellsworth, scoring 11 points in the loss.
With this result, the Lady Trojans improve to 15-5 overall, and 7-4 in league play while Ellsworth slides to 14-5 and 7-4 respectively.
Boys: SE of Saline 58, Ellsworth 41
On the boys’ side, the Trojans got back in the win column behind a trio of double-digit scorers, taking down Ellsworth for their sixth win of the season.
The Bearcats held a three-point lead after a quarter, but a strong defensive effort that saw them allow just one made field goal in the second put Southeast back in front 24-20 at halftime.
In the third quarter, the Trojans exploded, rattling off 19 points to Ellsworth’s nine to put the game out of reach.
The fourth quarter was little more than a formality as Southeast cruised to a 58-41 win.
Isaiah Kejr (17), Adam Thiel (12), and Gannon Jacobson (10) all led the charge for SES while Cooper McGowan (14) ended the night as the lone Bearcat in double figures.
With this win, the Trojans improve to 6-14 while Ellsworth falls to 6-13.
