Robert Wayne Srack, 75, of Bennington, Kansas, gained his angelic wings on Tuesday, February 20th, 2024 with his wife by his side.

Bob was born in Salina, Kansas on March 22, 1948, a son of Ruth A. (Travis) St. Clair and Leland M. Srack, Jr.He served in the United States Army Reserves and was an Ottawa County Undersheriff and business owner/entrepreneur.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Jan; sons, Tom (Nicolette), Aaron (Kim), Eric (Kerry); daughters, Crissy, Cari (Nick); grandchildren and great grandchild.

Bob is also survived by his sister, Ann (Bryce).

He was preceded in death by his parents and his baby brother, Mark.

Family will receive friends from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm, Sunday, February 25th, at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home.&nbsp;Private family burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, February 26th, at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, with Pastor Blaine Herron officiating.

Sonja Karin Smith October 15, 1935 ~&nbsp;February 18, 2024

Sonja Karin Smith, daughter of Fritjoff and Nendean (Stott) Mark, was born October 15, 1935, at McPherson Hospital in McPherson, Kansas.&nbsp; Sonja survived mastoid infections in the 5th&nbsp;and 6th&nbsp;grades and was sent to a children’s ward at Wesley Hospital in Wichita to receive penicillin treatments, as that medication was not available in McPherson.

Sonja attended Washington Elementary School and graduated in 1953 from McPherson Senior High School.&nbsp; She went on to McPherson College and graduated from there in 1957. She was an elementary school teacher.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Sonja and sister, Inga, were baptized together by Rev. Walter Upton at the First Congregational Church chapel in McPherson.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Sonja enjoyed roller skating and met her future husband at Petersons Roller Rink, rural McPherson.&nbsp; Paul and Sonja were married July 13, 1958, by Rev. Alfred Bartter at the First Congregational Church in McPherson.&nbsp; They went on a honeymoon trip, driving to San Francisco, California.&nbsp; Paul passed away on October 15, 2016.

Sonja enjoyed farm life, raising a garden, and canning.&nbsp; She was a member of the Daughters of the Union Veterans, and was a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts, Sunday school teacher, and also played the piano, violin, and cello.

Sonja passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at McPherson Hospital.&nbsp; She was eighty-seven.

Survivors include son, Loren; daughter, Cara Dietterick and husband, John; grandsons, Maxfield Dietterick and Samel Dietterick; niece, Christine Langone; and step-niece, Debra Lawrence.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister, Inga Lawrence.&nbsp;

Per Sonja’s wishes, there will be no service.&nbsp; The final resting place will be in McPherson Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice in care of Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 North Chestnut, McPherson, KS 67460.&nbsp;

John C. Ragland, 75, Minneapolis, passed away Friday, February 16, 2024, at the Ottawa County Health Center, Minneapolis. John was born March 26, 1948, to Lee Raymond and Frances (Gardner) Ragland.

John attended school in LaRue County, Kentucky. He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. John worked for Bennington Oil Co. Inc. and Farmway Coop before retiring in 2014. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church serving as an elder and trustee. John was a life member of the V.F.W. Post 3201.

John and Sharie Zuker were united in marriage on May 6, 1977, in Minneapolis.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Justin Lee; and sister, Linda Sloan. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;

&nbsp;Survivors include his wife, Sharie of Minneapolis; sons, Jeremy (Nicki) Ragland of Minneapolis and Ryan Ragland of Ottawa; sisters, Shirley (Chuck) O’Neill of Knightdale, NC, Debby (Jeff) Fields of Rineyville, KY, and Angela (Bryan) Metcalf of Hodgenville, KY; grandchildren, Trustin, Traxton, and Treyson Ragland, Jessica (Micheal) Klamm, Jeffery (Emilee) Ragland; four great-grandsons, one great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Gary Wayne Gill, 59, of Newton, Kansas, passed away on Friday,&nbsp;February 9, 2024. He was born on December 17,&nbsp;1964,&nbsp;in Concordia, Kansas to Dean and Colleen&nbsp;(Alquist)&nbsp;Gill.&nbsp;He was&nbsp;raised&nbsp;in Salina, Kansas where he attended schools&nbsp;and graduated from Salina South High School. He worked in carpentry and construction. He served in the United States Army Air National&nbsp;Guard. Gary loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting. He was very patriotic and appreciated his country.&nbsp;

Gary is survived by his mother Colleen, his son Zachery and wife Jamie, grandchildren Jayden, Natalie and Nikko, his brother Patrick and wife Zephyr, nephews Volt, Zap,&nbsp;Bas,&nbsp;and Cru. He was preceded&nbsp;in death by his father Dean Gill and his nephew Ocean Van Gill.&nbsp;

Elva Christine ‘Teen’ (Peterson) Krause passed away peacefully at home on February 17, 2024. She was born November 1, 1930, in Enterprise, Dickinson County, Kansas to Martin Edward Arthur Peterson and Grace Esther (Picking) Peterson.Teena married Clyde Frank Krause in 1949. After spending time in Kansas City and Georgia, the family moved to Hutchinson, Kansas in 1959, where she lived for the next 65 years. They divorced in the early 1960s and she joined the workforce, starting as a gift-wrapper at Sears. She retired from Sears in the 1990s. From the time she moved to Hutchinson, she was a member of Trinity Methodist Church. She loved to travel, and she loved her family. Traveling with her sister, Leona, was one of her favorite pastimes. Together, they traveled all over the United States.She is survived by one sister, Mary Esther Bever, three of her children, including son Greggory Allen Krause of Hutchinson, daughter Susan Koren Burdick of Texas, and son Jeffrey Neil Krause of Hutchinson, grandchildren Rachel Ann Swartz (John) of Texas, Benjamin Paul Krause (Tara) of Texas, and Heather Donnell Madrigill (Ed) of Kansas City, several great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and life-long friends.She was proceeded in death by her parents, three sisters, Beverly Anne Krisher, Leona Ruth Blodgett, and Connie Marie Amburgy, son Martin Paul Krause, grandson Jeremy Allen Burdick, and great-grandson Lucas Aaron Swartz.Per Teena’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a celebration of life will be held 1:00 P.M., April 27th, 2024 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Enterprise, Kansas while the spring flowers are in bloom. Sheila Ann Turner August 27, 1961 ~ February 18, 2024

Sheila Ann (Brown) Turner, 62, of Culver, Kansas, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away Sunday, February 18th, 2024 with her husband, Gary, by her side. Even though our hearts are heavy with sadness that her time here on earth has ended, we have comfort knowing the Lord has called her home and she is no longer in pain.

Sheila was born in Lakewood, California on August 27, 1961, a daughter of the late Areta (Peebles) and Jimmy Brown.

On May 20, 2014, Sheila married Gary Turner and they lived in Salina, Kansas.

She was a waitress and loved getting to meet people. She was a very friendly and outgoing person and was always there to help anyone who needed it. Sheila loved playing games on her phone, talking to her friends, spending time with family and friends. Her animals were her babies and she loved them so much. Due to her declining health issues, she had to retire but never complained and just kept fighting.

Survivors include her beloved husband, Gary Turner; sons, Curtis Payne, Jr., Kerry Payne; grandchildren, Amelia Payne, Kody Payne; great grandchildren, Isabella "Izzy," and Kolbie; brother, Billy Brown (Sheena); aunts, Sharon Goode and Nana Payne; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, W.M. Peebles; grandmother, Melodese Peebles; and nephew, Dakota Brown.

She will be cremated and there will be a Celebration of Life at a later date in Bonham, Texas.

Gary will then bring her back to Salina, Kansas, where she will be buried.

Donations may be made to American Cancer Society, Salina Animal Shelter, or to help with funeral expenses, in care of Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, 500 S. Ohio St., Salina, Kansas 67401.

Janice Lynn (Rinker) Smart March 21, 1941 ~ February 3, 2024

Janice Lynn Smart, 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 3, 2024 in her home at Reflections Retirement Resort in Salina, Kansas.&nbsp; She was born on March 21, 1941, to Lloyd V. and Una (Bailey) Rinker.&nbsp; Jan grew up in Solomon, KS and graduated from Solomon High School.

She was a homemaker who also worked several part-time jobs over the years.&nbsp; One of those jobs was at the Wonder Bread Store where she met “that cocky young truck-driver” Roger Smart who drove for the Bread Store.&nbsp; He ended up being the love of her life and they married on March 24, 1978.&nbsp; Jan and Rog shared 35 wonderful years together before he passed away and she missed him tremendously.&nbsp; Jan would tell you that the most important job she ever had was raising kids and taking care of her family.&nbsp; Her kids couldn’t be more proud of the woman she was and are forever thankful they were lucky enough to have her for a Mom.&nbsp; Jan would tell everyone not to mourn her because she is finally with Rog. &nbsp;

Jan’s favorite past-times included bowling, playing softball, coaching her daughters (and many other “adopted” daughters) in softball, and planting flowers.&nbsp; In addition to those, her love of sewing turned into a love of quilting which lasted her entire lifetime.&nbsp; She thoroughly enjoyed passing that love to everyone – whether through teaching the art of quilting or through gifting a quilt.&nbsp; She even taught her daughters to quilt!

Jan was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Una Rinker, brothers Ronald and Keith and the love of her life, Roger.&nbsp;

Cremation has taken place and, per her wishes, there will not be a memorial service. &nbsp;

Olay Siyajuck, 71, of De Soto, passed away Monday, February 19, 2024. She was born in Vientiane, Laos to Phomalee and Boun Phonkhamlay on December 15, 1952. She married Sene Siyajuck in Laos. After spending multiple years in re-education camps in Laos, she then spent two years in immigration camps in Thailand as a displaced person. She immigrated to Modesto, CA as a refugee with her family. She then moved to Salina, KS in 1992, where she worked at Tony's Pizza Factory for 20 years, retiring in 2012.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 10 siblings; and sons, Phoutavahn Siyajuck and Xaysana Siyajuck.&nbsp;

Left to mourn her passing are her husband, Sene; children, Sooksavay Siyajuck of Overland Park, Thipmalay Lynn (Siyajuck) of Fort Campbell, KY,&nbsp; and Chantha Siyajuck of Lenexa; and her brother, Somnuk Phommanorat of Texas. She was Mathu to nine grandchildren.

Visitation will be at noon on Friday, February 23, 2024 followed by the ceremony at Ryan Mortuary, Salina with Buddhist Monks as celebrant. Burial will follow at Gypsum Hill Cemetery, in Salina, at 2:30 p.m.&nbsp; After the burial a reception will be held at 4 p.m. at the Buddhist Temple of Salina.&nbsp; &nbsp;

Betty Marie Kerr, 76, of Salina, Kansas, entered into eternal rest on February 17, 2024. Born on July 2, 1947, in Clay Center, Kansas to James Floyd and Margaret (Stevenson) Logan, Betty lived a life marked by compassion, creativity, and service.

Betty was a graduate of Clay County Community High School and furthered her education at Washburn University and Stormont Vail School of Nursing. Her lifelong dedication to nursing saw her caring for patients at St. John's Hospital, as well as the Penn and Santa Fe Campuses of SRHC, for over four decades. Betty's role as a nurse and supervisor was not merely a career but a calling, through which she nurtured countless lives with her expertise and kindness.

An active member of the Sunrise Presbyterian Church, Betty found joy in her faith and the fellowship of her church community. Her myriad of interests included gardening, sewing, crocheting, and engaging in various crafts. Adept with her hands, she created beauty and comfort, her handiwork a testament to her loving spirit. Betty was an avid puzzle solver and maintained a family calendar that kept her loved ones connected.

Surviving Betty is her devoted husband of 55 years, Maurice Kerr; her cherished daughters, Marci McCullough and Mindy Johnson; esteemed son-in-law, John Johnson; adored grandsons, Allen and Cameron Johnson; and a host of relatives and friends who were dear to her. Betty's legacy also extends to her unofficially adopted daughters, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, niece Emily Kerr, father-in-law Melvin Kerr, and son-in-law Terry McCullough.

A service to honor Betty's life will take place at 10:30 am on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at the Sunrise Presbyterian Church, 825 E. Beloit Ave., Salina, Kansas. The family suggests that memorials in Betty's name be directed to the American Cancer Society or Sunrise Presbyterian Church.

Betty Marie Kerr will be fondly remembered as a beacon of love and care, both within her family and the broader community. Her memory will be cherished by all who had the honor of sharing in her journey.

Charlene Faye DeWitt, 80, Beverly, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2024, in Minneapolis. She was born March 11, 1943, in Vesper to Leo and Lillian (Kingan) Flaherty.

Charlene and Ronald DeWitt were united in marriage on October 20, 1961, and he preceded her in death on July 29, 2009.&nbsp;

She was what you would call a “jack of all trades.”&nbsp; She was a hard worker and held many jobs throughout her lifetime. Some of those were Tony’s in Salina, The Fashion Pallet in Minneapolis, cook at the Minneapolis High School, cook at the Ottawa County Detention Center, and she and Ron ran the Minneapolis Country Club restaurant for many years. Charlene was a past mayor and city council member of Beverly as well. She and Ron also fostered over 350 children throughout their married life.

Charlene’s passion and love for her family was evident and was involved in their day-to-day activities.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Besides Ron, she was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Roy, Don, and Butch.

Survivors are her daughters, Terri DeWitt (Kara Lariviere), Cindy Scarbrough (Jerry), and Rhonda Bell (Chris); siblings, LaVern, David, Herb, Harold, Denny Jo, and Marlene Arthur; grandchildren, Tabitha, Alisha, Christina, Casey, Seth, Rose, Amber, and Sarah; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 25, from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., at Wilson Family Funeral Home, 405 Argyle Ave., Minneapolis, KS 67467. Larry M. Tredway, 84, of Galva, KS, passed away on February 15, 2024, surrounded by his wife and children.&nbsp; Larry is survived by his loving wife of over 59 years, Berenice (Johnson).&nbsp; Larry is also survived by two sons Brent (Jena) of Houston TX and Burton (Jane) of Wichita KS, as well as a sister Donna Ruth Graham of Mesa, AZ.&nbsp; Larry was also “Papa” to 8 grandchildren, Ryan, Haley, Lindsey, Lilly, Layla, and Jonathon, Jena and Jaden.&nbsp; He was preceded in death by his parents George and Beulah Tredway of Burden, KS.

Larry was an avid K-State Fan. He and Bernie held season football tickets and attended a countless number of games over the years.&nbsp; Everyone was always welcome at the Tredway’s tailgate, and nobody ever left hungry or thirsty.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Larry was very civic and community minded as he called Galva home for over 50 years.&nbsp; He served numerous terms on the Canton-Galva School Board as well as on the Galva City Council.&nbsp; He was the first to volunteer when his sons were active in school and was always proud to help sponsor any local events and activities that promoted the local community.&nbsp; Larry never missed his sons’ games and could be seen attending Canton-Galva sporting events long after his two sons graduated. He was also very passionate about his grandchildren and attended their sporting events whenever he could.

For nearly 50 years, Larry wholeheartedly served many clients as an Insurance Agent.&nbsp; He considered many of his clients close personal friends. The personalized service he provided was second to none. These clients knew that with one phone call, Larry would be out the door to visit them to meet all their needs.

A visitation will be held at Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 North Chestnut St, McPherson, KS 67460 on Friday, February 23rd&nbsp;from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.&nbsp; The funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, February 24th&nbsp;at the McPherson First United Methodist Church, 1200 E Kansas Ave, McPherson, KS 67460 with a graveside committal following at the Empire Cemetery near Galva, KS.

Stuart Garland Johannes, 61, of Salina, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2024. &nbsp;He was born November 24,&nbsp;1962&nbsp;in Truckee, California to Jack G. and J. Carolyn (Barnard) Johannes.

He&nbsp;enjoyed his childhood in&nbsp;the Lake Tahoe area until his family’s move to Salina in 1969.

During adolescence, he&nbsp;played brass instruments&nbsp;with&nbsp;the Salina Silver&nbsp;Sabres&nbsp;Drum and Bugle Corps and&nbsp;attended Salina Central High School where he was involved in the marching&nbsp;Mustangs,&nbsp;Free&nbsp;Spirit singers, and was an honor member of&nbsp;Thespian Troupe 634. &nbsp;He graduated in 1980.

Stuart&nbsp;married Jeanette K.&nbsp;(Johnson)&nbsp;on October 25, 1986. &nbsp;There were two offspring born to this union: daughters Jannell Kaylynn and Stephanie Gayl, regularly referred to by Stuart as his two greatest wonders of this world.

During his adult life he was a manager for Green Lantern Carwashes for 29 years and an owner of&nbsp;StuJo’s&nbsp;Carwashes for 7 years.

Stuart&nbsp;was preceded in death by his father Jack G. Johannes, nephew Elliot Jacob Johannes,&nbsp;many&nbsp;dearly loved grandparents, and&nbsp;uncle&nbsp;James Lowell Johannes.

He is survived by his mother J. Carolyn of Salina, sister Stacey (O’Shea) of Salina,&nbsp;brother&nbsp;Stephan of Manhattan,&nbsp;brother&nbsp;Jack II of&nbsp;Salina, daughter Jannell of Tulsa,&nbsp;Oklahoma,&nbsp;and&nbsp;daughter Stephanie of Salina.

A memorial service will be&nbsp;held at&nbsp;10&nbsp;a.m.&nbsp;Saturday, February 24 at Ryan Mortuary. &nbsp;Inurnmentwill take place&nbsp;at a later date.

Rob Carlson October 19, 1958 ~&nbsp;February 14, 2024

Rob Carlson, 65, Beloit passed away February 14, 2024. Rob was born to Charles and Lucy Carlson on October 19, 1958. He graduated from Minneapolis High School and attended Cloud County Community College. He then chose to come home to farm with his dad and brothers. He was a farmer and rancher including his custom hay business for many years. His personality was a natural to move him into sales of farm equipment and to be the “van man” delivering school supplies to schools in north central Kansas. He started migrating to the north. First stop was Delphos, followed by Glasco and final stop Beloit. He has left many friends in these areas with memories of his quick wit, generous heart and more than a few escapades and adventures to remember (but maybe not talk about).

He was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves behind three brothers; Kent Carlson (Marcia), Hesston, Steve Carlson (Pam), Chris Carlson, and sister Linda Saenger (Larry) all of Minneapolis. He has many nieces and nephews that knew they could go to Uncle Rob for anything. He also had a family of close friends – you know who you are – that he collected and held close throughout the years.

He will be missed by many and will be saving a seat for us at the bar in heaven with a beer waiting. Then we can take a ride in his Buckeye Powered Parachute.

A Celebration of Rob’s life will begin at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 23 at the Wells Community Center, but for now let’s raise a glass to Rob Bob. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice and may be mailed to Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 166, Minneapolis, KS 67467.

Daniel Roy Smith January 1, 1943 ~ February 18, 2024

Daniel (Dan) Smith, 81, of Furley passed away Sunday, February 18, 2024. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday February 23, 2024 at Lamb Funeral Home, Whitewater Kansas.

Dan was born January 1, 1943 in Wichita, KS to Jerome and Betty (Stubbs) Smith. He spent his early life in Moline and Sycamore, Kansas, eventually moving to Planeview, where he was surrounded by aunts, uncles and many cousins. He attended West, South and Campus High schools. He joined the Air Force in 1961 and was stationed in Japan for four years during the Vietnam era.

Dan met Vivian (Brunn) Smith in Wichita, and they were married &nbsp;August 27, 1967. The couple settled in Furley, Kansas and made it their home for 57 years. Three children were born to the union: Danielle, Jason and Nathan.

During his career, Dan was employed at all Wichita airplane factories. His final working home was with LearJet for 35 years until retirement. Dan’s work history also included time as a sign painter for George Lay Signs, and he owned his own waterproofing company.

Dan was a devout Christian and lifelong student of the bible, becoming a member of Furley United Methodist Church. Dan also was a member of Sons of the American Legion and held many positions over his lifetime.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Vivian, children Danielle (Kent) Dodds of Andover; Jason (Sarah) Smith of Whitewater; and Nathan Smith of Derby; grandchildren WIlliam Smith, Darron Amon, Amanda Dodds, Toby Smith, Jason Smith Jr. &nbsp;and Cody Smith; brothers Jerome of Tucson, AZ; and Larry of Mill Creek, WA.

Services will be held Saturday February 24, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Furley United Methodist Church, 11400 E 101st Street North (northeast corner of 101st Street &amp; Greenwich Road). Burial will follow at Green Valley Cemetery.&nbsp;

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to American Legion Post 65, PO Box 222 Whitewater, Kansas 67154.&nbsp;

Robert Lee Falk Sr. July 12, 1948 ~ February 15, 2024

On July 12, 1948, William Falk and Louise (Dies) Falk welcomed their son Robert Lee Falk, in Herington, Kansas. He was raised in Herington along with his eight siblings.

Robert worked hard his life with only having an eighth-grade education. He worked at Eldorado National and Beech Craft in manufacturing. During his lifetime, he enjoyed going to the racetrack, drag racing, and demo derbies. In his spare time, he liked to fish and work on cars. If anyone needed something he was more than willing to help anyone out.

He is survived by his wife Neesa Falk, Newton, Kansas; his daughters Lisa Wilvers, Salina, Kansas; Bobbie Jo Moran, Wichita, Kansas; and Angie Shurnik, Salina, Kansas, and his son, Robert Falk Jr, Salina, Kansas. He has grandchildren, Matthew, Brett, Billy, Dru, Leslie, Juliette, Zac, and Brhyanna and six great-grandchildren. &nbsp;He is also survived by his sister Barbara Hanson, Abilene, Kansas, his brothers, Herman and Norman Falk, Herington, Kansas.

Robert passed away on February 10, 2024, at Salina Regional Hospital in Salina, Kansas. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Hazel, Deloris, Kathyrn, and Bonnie.

On February 3, 1953 she was united in marriage to Lawrence Scott in Abilene. Matilda worked at ALCO Duckwall for 25 years in the warehouse department. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Abilene. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Matilda’s wishes were to be cremated. A graveside service will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, March 2, 2024 at the Abilene City Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be given to Village Manor Nursing Home. Theodore "Ted" Frederick Willard July 30, 1957 ~ February 14, 2024

Theodore “Ted” Frederick Willard was born on July 30, 1957 in Fort Scott, Kansas to Bertha M. and Paul F. Willard. He graduated from Fort Scott High School and attended North Central Kansas Technical College in Beloit, Kansas.

Ted married the love of his life Cheryl Kay Wilson, who preceded him in death.

Ted was a tower crane operator for 35 years and a member of the Teamsters Union. He helped build most of the skyscraper buildings in downtown Kansas City, Missouri during this period.

His brother, Leo Charles Willard and sister, Carol Sue Hall also preceded him in death.

He is survived by his beloved daughter, Capri Kay Willard (Rebekah); mother-in-law, Deloris Neumayer; sister, Gayle Lewis; bonus sister, Janice Anderson (Paul); and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Also, his caregivers, Dana Hill and Deb Lebreque who did a wonderful job caring for him the last few years.

Ted loved monster trucks and car rallies but his favorite hobby was roller skating with Capri on the weekends.

The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice for their services.

Visitation will be from 9:00 am - 10:00 am, Saturday, February 24, at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, 500 S. Ohio St., Salina, Kansas.

Funeral Services will follow at 10:00 am at the funeral home.

Robert W. Mathews, fondly known as Bob, passed away on February 15, 2024, at Salina, Kansas. He was born on September 06, 1961, in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania to Charles H. Mathews, Jr and Helen (Gindlesperger) Herber. Bob will forever be remembered by his son, Robert (Ann); his cherished grandson, Eli; his mother, Helen; his siblings, Charlie (Holly), Teresa, and Steve (Bing); his close friends, Kenny &amp; Rayleen Wright and Doris Lauzara.

He was predeceased by his father Charles and stepfather Richard Herber. He is survived by his mother, siblings, children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Robert was a Salina Central High School graduate, class of 1979. He was a devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Robert’s departure leaves a gap in our hearts. May his spirit find tranquility and may those he left behind find comfort in the memories they shared with him.

Terry Michael Ludecke, 75, passed away on February 13, 2024 at his home in Bennington, KS.

Terry was born on December 16, 1948 in Kansas City, MO to parents Lawrence Edward and Delores Clark Ludecke, where he graduated from Ruskin High School in Kansas City, MO.

Terry was a Petty Officer Third Class in the Navy and Navy Reserve during the Vietnam War. A proud River Rat that earned the National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service and Campaign Medals, Navy Achievement Medal, SERE Patch earned during river warfare training (survival, evasion, resistance and escape maneuvers.

Terry moved to Salina in 1992 and was employed at Salina Steel until his retirement. He was an avid bowler and chess player and enjoyed both with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an older brother: Larry Ludecke.

Terry is survived by Sons: Jason Ludecke of Bennington, KS, Terry Ludecke of Bennington, KS; Grandsons: Aidan and Riley; Sister: Patty Atzmiller and spouse Tom of Lees Summit, MO; and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services are scheduled for Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at 1:00 PM in the Memorial Park &amp; Greenlawn Cemeteries; 8251 Hillcrest Road, Kansas City, MO 64138. Daniel "Dan" Joe Verhoeff February 14, 1983 ~ February 16, 2024

Daniel "Dan" Joe Verhoeff passed away peacefully at Salina Regional Health Center after a short battle with cancer on Friday, February 16, 2024, with his family beside him.&nbsp; He was born in Salina, KS, on February 14, 1983, to Bill Joe Verhoeff and Teresa Joann Gill.

Dan graduated from Salina High School South and also Salina Area Vo-Tech in Auto Body.&nbsp; Dan worked in the parts business over 20 years, spending 13 years with an automotive parts company in Salina, then switched his parts career over to heavy duty trucks.&nbsp; He started with Freightliner in Salina as a parts counter salesman in 2013, soon realizing his knowledge and great qualities, he was promoted to Parts Manager in 2019 for Truck Center Companies.&nbsp; He was passionate about anything with moving parts, engines, and his valued customers.

While Dan could be quiet and reserved, he was always concerned and cared about his customers and whatever needs they had and was always eager to help them.&nbsp; The satisfaction he got out of the parts business was that he could help solve someone's problems and get them back out onto the road while never taking anything in return.&nbsp; When he made up his mind that he was going to do something, he was extremely focused and determined to accomplish whatever task it was with whatever means it took.

Dan was a very intelligent man and loved to research and read about everything. Being an all around handy man, he could fix anything!&nbsp; If you needed information about something, no need to ask Google, just ask Dan!&nbsp; He had a lot of hobbies which included vehicles, motors, watching football, and listening to AM radio. &nbsp;He spent a lot of time in his shop fixing vehicles, most of the time for other people at his own expense.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Dan is survived by his father and stepmother, Bill and Lisa Verhoeff of Lone Jack, MO; mother, Teresa Gill of Salina; and sister, Kelly Verhoeff of Cleveland, OH.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth Street, Salina, KS 67401.&nbsp; A small reception will be held there following the service.

Memorials can be made to Make-A-Wish as Dan generously donated to children's charities.

William Anthony Eilert, 35, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2024 in Wichita, Kansas. William was born October 30, 1988, to Kathleen (Ackerman) Eilert and Mark Eilert at US Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida. He was their fourth child of five.

Born to a military family, William moved frequently as a child, first to Tennessee, and then again to Kansas where he began school, attending St. John’s Catholic Schools in Beloit. He attended Kansas State University in Manhattan, where he studied Engineering, and Manhattan Area Technical College, where he studied Computer Science. William worked as a bartender at Finn’s Neighborhood Pub for several years before finally returning to Beloit to work on the family farm, which he found much to his liking.

William was known for his gentle personality, agreeable demeanor, and brilliant sense of humor. He made fast friends in every walk of life and was quick to volunteer his help to a friend or family member’s personal problem or dizzying home construction project.&nbsp; William proved loyal to a fault, and many friends and family found themselves in his debt as the technical genius quickly absorbed a problem and set to work on their solution. William loved gaming with his friends and siblings, hunting, fishing, and playing with his beloved dog Trout.

Surviving are his parents: Kathleen (Ackerman) Eilert of Park, and Mark Eilert of Beloit, his grandparents: Robert and Alice Ackerman of Park, and Donald and Dolores Eilert of Beloit. He is also survived by his siblings and their families: Kenneth, Jillian, Josselyn, and Thomas Eilert of Indianapolis, Indiana, Matthew, Emma, Charly, Ellie, and Ralph Eilert of Park, Kelly, Manny, Emery, and Isabella Sandlin of Manhattan, and Benjamin, Sadie, Adalynn, Wyatt, and Rylee Eilert of Beloit. His many nieces and nephews held William as a doting and favored uncle.

Rosary and Funeral Services will be held at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church. The rosary will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at 7 p.m., and Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at 10 a.m. Visitation will be held prior to the rosary on February 20, 2024 at Schoen Funeral Home And Monuments, from 1﹘5 p.m. with family present from 4 - 5 p.m.
