Anne Elizabeth (Barker) Hall, 42, of Lawrence, died Monday, September 9, 2024. Anne was born August 29, 1982, to Steven and Pamela (Prochaska) Barker in Salina.

She spent her childhood in Minneapolis and graduated from Minneapolis High School in 2001. Anne attended the University of Kansas and received a B.A. in political science and women’s studies in 2005 and a juris doctorate with certification in elder law in 2008. She was a member of the KU Women’s Chorale and Alpha Chi Omega sorority. Anne was united in marriage to Adam Hall on June 2, 2007, and to this union twin sons were born.

Anne practiced law for ten years, first as an associate of Pendleton & Sutton and later for the Kansas Board of Healing Arts. She was a member, officer and former president of the Douglas County Bar Association. She was a graduate of Leadership Lawrence in 2011 and honored as an outstanding volunteer nominee in 2011 for her work in CASA (court appointed special advocate).

She was preceded in death by her father Steven Barker and nephew Miles Hosler.

Anne is survived by her husband Adam, sons Aaron and Michael of the home; mother Pamela Barker, Minneapolis; sisters Jennifer (Nick) Hosler, Lawrence; Patricia (Dustin) Little, Minneapolis; nephews Preston Hosler, Steven Little, Gavin, Henry and Luke Brownfield and nieces Lauren Hosler, Rose Little and Abigail Wiesing.

A memorial service and celebration of Anne’s life will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, September 20 at the First Presbyterian Church, Minneapolis. Memorials are suggested to Douglas County CASA or Homestead Adult Living Facility in Eudora and may be left in care of Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 166, Minneapolis, KS 67467.
