Alice Jo Campbell, 79, Minneapolis, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 6, 2026, at the Ottawa County Health Center. She was born September 23, 1946, in Salina to Dewey and Virginia (Ringquist) Barr.

          Alice had a passion for flowers and gardening. She had a pumpkin patch on her farm, and she loved sharing it with the public each year. After moving to Minneapolis, she opened the Virginian. Many enjoyed her wonderful meals and her companionship while visiting with an ice-cold drink.

          Alice was an avid gameshow watcher and enjoyed playing games of UNO and Scrabble with her family. She loved sharing her crafting with her grandkids along with making many crocheted blankets or cross-stitched items for family and friends.  Alice had a love of the Royals, and she rarely missed watching a game.

          She was preceded in death by her parents.

          Alice is survived by her children, Robert Quinn, Jr. and wife Catalina and Brenda Fraser and husband, Mark; brother, Jack Barr and wife, Valerie; grandchildren, Krista Hardesty (Waylon), Kara Bertrand (Shane), and Johnnie Quinn (Jason Bryant); and eight great-grandchildren.

          Family memorial services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army or DAV and may be left in care of Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 166, Minneapolis, KS 67467.

Alice Jo Campbell

Patricia Mae Tomlins, 94, passed away on February 7, 2026, in Salina, Kansas. Born on June 24, 1931, to William Aubrey Singleton and Marjorie Ella McMath in Dermott, Arkansas. Her family lived in Arkansas until she was a freshman in high school when the family moved to Wellington, Kansas where she graduated from high school in 1949.

She was married to James “Bud” Tomlins from 1949 to 1974 and together they had two sons, Byron and Scott. She was married to William (Bill) Billau from 1977 to 1992.

Pat went back to work as a secretary for Jack Parr Associates and Evans

Grain Company when her children were older. In 1992 Evans Grain closed and she went to work in the education department for Consumer Credit Counseling Services until she retired in 1997.

Pat was a member of Sunrise Presbyterian Church where she served as an ordained Elder and a longtime member of the Evangelism Committee. She was a lifetime member of Presbyterian women where she served as Moderator and Circle Leader. She was Skipper for Clipper Mariners and served as Co-Admiral of the Sunrise Ship. She also volunteered for several years as Coordinator for the Red Cross Blood Mobile Canteen.

She also was a member of the First Presbyterian Church Family Hope Center Board. In 1997, she received the Super Senior Award for church services.

Pat moved to Salina Presbyterian Manor in 2018, where she has been active in the life of the Manor by volunteering as coordinator of Food Bank donations, Manor Employees Christmas Fund Committee, and First Floor Representative to the Residents Council.

Pat is survived by her two sons, Dr. Byron Tomlins (Paula), Topeka, KS, and Scott Tomlins, Salina, KS, grandchildren; Dr. Ryan Tomlins (Heidi Prockish), Topeka, KS, Carly Showman (Shawn), Lawrence, KS, Marisa Shadwick (Will), Kansas City, MO, Emily Tomlins (Adam Campbell), Liberty, MO, Kate Murray (Josh), Salina, KS, Deagan Tomlins (Alyssa Wildcat), Moore, OK, great grandchildren; Jude and Abigail Murray, Coy Campbell, Fred Showman, Grayson, Avery, Addison Tomlins and Ivy Linabary. Pat is also survived by her sister, Billie Curry, Hot Springs, AK, nephew Dr. Andy Curry, niece Katie Carter, Texarkana, AK.

There will be a celebration of her life at Sunrise Presbyterian Church on February 12, 2026, at 10 a.m. with a reception to follow.

Patricia Mae Tomlins

Duane Isaacson passed away on January 16, 2026 in Beloit, Kansas at the age of 70. He was born on March 1, 1955 in Superior, Nebraska to Edward and Mary Jane (Howland) Isaacson.

Duane graduated from Courtland High School in 1973 where he was a captain of the football team and class president. He continued his education at Brown Mackey College, earning his associate degree in 1975.

In 1976, Duane joined the Peace Corps, serving 2 years in Costa Rica. During his time there, he met and married Irene. In 1978 he and Irene moved back to Kansas, and in 1981, the couple welcomed a son Derek. They remained a family for 11yrs before arriving at a divorce. Duane continued to live in the Rossville Kansas area, working in the insurance industry until 1992.

He then decided to move to North Dakota, and while there, he was blessed with a daughter Andrea in 1995.

In 2002, he decided to go back to Costa Rica for 6 years before returning to Kansas in 2008. Duane settled in his Salina home and spent the remainer of his working years employed with Cape Roofing and Menards. Sadly in 2019, his illness made him incapable of continuing employment and he entered medical care soon after.

Duane’s life reflected a spirit of adventure, service, and adaptability. He will be remembered by those who knew him for his unique life experiences, and spending his time on Earth exactly how he wanted to.

He is survived by his children, Derek (Michelle) Isaacson of St. Cloud, FL and Andrea Casson of Greenbay, WI; siblings, Ralph Isaacson of Stafford, AZ, Lois (Ivan) Walker of CO, Rex Isaacson of Courtland, KS; two grandchildren Troy and Taylor Isaacson ; and a slew of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Duane is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Mary Jane Isaacson; siblings, Erma Greenwood, Rita Hilt, and Joyce Veach.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Courtland United Methodist Church on Friday, February 20, 2026 at 10:30 AM.

Sharolyn Stout, 89, Minneapolis, died Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at the Ottawa County Health Center. She was born September 5, 1936, in Ottawa County, to Lowell and Lena (Hendrixson) Morton.

       Sharolyn was a 1954 graduate of Minneapolis High School then she attended Brown Mackie College in Salina. She worked as a secretary at the Minneapolis Clinic for many years. She and Dick Popham were married in 1955 and they later divorced. Sharolyn married Cline Stout in 1980, and they enjoyed traveling all over the United States and Canada. Sharolyn was known for beautiful quilts and embroidery.

       She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cline; and siblings, Sheila and Gail.

       Sharolyn’s survivors are her daughters, Debbie McDonald and husband, John, Pam Klewein and husband, Rick, and Vicki Novotny; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

       Private graveside services will be in Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis. Sharolyn’s daughters will be forever grateful for the care she received while living at Oak View at the Ottawa County Health Center and would ask that memorial contributions be made to them. Sharolyn Stout

Becky Vering-Younger, 71, died on November 23, 2025, at her home. Becky was the devoted wife to her late husband and love of her life, Jesse Younger. She was a warm and wonderful aunt to her nieces and nephews and an unwavering friend to many.

Born July 9, 1954, in Salina, she was the daughter of Bill and Polly Vering. Becky had four older siblings: Diana, Bill, Libby and Jack. She worked as a nurse and truck driver. Later, she and Jesse owned and operated LTR Engineering, specializing in Harley-Davidson repairs.

Becky led a life well lived. Her smile lit up every room. Without fail, she called those she loved on their birthdays—early in the morning—singing Happy Birthday with tenderness and joy. Always ready for a road trip, Becky loved meeting new people and trying new things. She experienced more in her life than most can imagine.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 7th, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Scheme 123 N 7th St. Salina, KS.

Gayle Ann Lee, 90, Tescott, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at the Ottawa County Health Center, Minneapolis. She was born Gayle Ann Grace on February 24, 1935, to Lennie and Etta (Jones) Grace, on a small farm near Ada.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

 After graduation Gayle Ann worked at Handy Motors in Minneapolis, where she was fluent in shorthand. It was there she met Merlin Lee. They were married on May 12, 1955, and lived most of their lives on the farm near Tescott. They celebrated 50 years of marriage before Merlin passed away in September of 2005. Gayle Ann also worked at the grocery store in Tescott, helping and visiting with customers, but more so, she loved being a farm wife. She delivered many meals to the fields. Gayle Ann loved giving and receiving birthday cards and she had a great talent for painting.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Merlin; infant son, Michael; brother, Bob Grace; and twin grandsons, Andrew and Aaron Lee.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 

Gayle Ann is survived by her children, Leah Beth Drouhard and husband, Mike of Wellington, Bob Lee and wife, Tammy of Culver, and Darryl “DD” Lee and wife Liz of Tescott; grandchildren, Ryan Lee, Ashlie Krone, Colter Lewis, Jordan Lee, and Tyler Benson; and great-grandchildren, Ashdan, Brantlan, and Weston Lee, Jadyn, Jace, Austyn, and Cohen Krone, and Morgan and Leah Lewis.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 15 from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M., at Wilson Family Funeral Home, 405 Argyle Ave., Minneapolis, KS 67467. Jerry Tryban of Salina, Kansas, passed away on February 2, at the age of 74. He was born in May 1951 to Ed and Frances Tryban and was raised in Roanoke, Virginia. After high school, Jerry spent four years in full-time volunteer work for Jehovah’s Witnesses, printing Bibles and study aids, and continued to spend the majority of his life teaching the Bible to others.

Jerry met a local Salina girl, Trudy Martin, at a friend’s wedding, and they married in 1975. They raised three children together in Smolan, Kansas.

Jerry enjoyed playing tennis and golf and was well known by many locals as “Jerry the Janitor,” as well as for his unique, boisterous laugh.

He is survived by his wife, Trudy; sons, Joshua and his wife, Jessika, of Crescent City, California, and Nathan and his wife, Xiomara, of Loveland, Colorado, along with grandson, Jonah; daughter Molly Dahl and granddaughter, Aubree; sister, Suzy Cannon of Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Tom.

They raised three children together in Smolan, Kansas.Jerry enjoyed playing tennis and golf and was well known by many locals as “Jerry the Janitor,” as well as for his unique, boisterous laugh.He is survived by his wife, Trudy; sons, Joshua and his wife, Jessika, of Crescent City, California, and Nathan and his wife, Xiomara, of Loveland, Colorado, along with grandson, Jonah; daughter Molly Dahl and granddaughter, Aubree; sister, Suzy Cannon of Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews. Robert Frederick Frobenius II (“Bob”) was born June 5, 1945, in Denver, Colorado and passed&nbsp;away on February 4, 2026, in Salina, Kansas.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Diana Frobenius (née Sapp); his sons, Robert Frobenius&nbsp;III (Stacie) and Anton Frobenius (April); and his grandchildren, Ethan Frobenius and Elliot&nbsp;Frobenius. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alta Frobenius (née Swisher) and Robert&nbsp;Frederick Frobenius, Sr., and by his brother, James Frobenius.&nbsp;Bob devoted much of his life to service and the care of others. He served as a deputy with the

Saline County Sheriff’s Office, later as an officer with the Derby Police Department, and also&nbsp;worked in security with Boeing. In time, Bob became a funeral director and the owner of&nbsp;Roselawn Mortuary and Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery, a calling he carried with dignity&nbsp;and compassion.&nbsp;Bob had a spark—opinionated, candid, and full of emotion. He could be difficult at times, but&nbsp;it was never from indifference. He lived with his heart on his sleeve, loved fiercely, and&nbsp;remained deeply family oriented. Even through difficult later years, he kept a zest for life and a&nbsp;drive to learn, always reaching for understanding and knowledge. Bob loved working with people, time in nature, and learning for learning’s sake. He had a deep interest in genealogy and spent countless hours researching the background of his family tree. He traveled extensively, including through humanitarian interests, and remained curious about people’s stories and the wider world. He also enjoyed shooting sports and the discipline and focus they require.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 13 at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with family present from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. &nbsp;Service will be Saturday, February 14 at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel, with food following&nbsp;graveside.

Robert Frederick Frobenius II

Kenneth James Klaus, 88, of Salina, passed away at his home on February 2, 2026.

Ken was born on August 3, 1937, in Antonino, Kansas, to Martin and Felicitas (Leiker) Klaus. He grew up alongside seven siblings.

On January 9, 1960, Ken married Bernice (Dinkel). Together, they built a life and raised three children.

Ken took great pride in caring for his lawn and garden and enjoyed restoring antique tractors. Above all, he cherished time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ken is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Bernice, of Salina; sons, Leon (Mary) of Salina and Randy of Weston, Florida; daughter, Karen (Jerome) of Eugene, Oregon; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; his sister Ann; brother Harold; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brothers, Joseph and Charles Klaus; brother, Lester Klaus; and sisters, Marilyn and Charlene Flax.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 5, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with a rosary at 6:00 p.m., at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. 8th St. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 6, 2026, at St. Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church, 230 E. Cloud St., Salina.

Kenneth James Klaus

Judy Carolyn Schafer, 83, of Hutchinson, Kansas, and formerly of McPherson, Kansas, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, with her family by her side at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.

Judy was born on April 21, 1942, in Austin, Texas, the daughter of Virginia (Ellis) and Dr. Joseph LeRoy Love. She graduated from Austin High School in 1960 and went on to earn her undergraduate degree in Library Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin. In 1992, she proudly graduated with honors from Wichita State University, receiving her Master’s degree in Educational Administration.

Judy was a lifelong educator, licensed to teach in five states, and devoted her life to helping children and others learn, grow, and feel supported. She served as the librarian at Prosperity Elementary School and the District Media Coordinator for the Buhler School District, from which she retired. Known for her kindness, generosity, and gentle spirit, Judy touched countless lives throughout her career and beyond.

Outside of her professional life, Judy cherished time spent with her family and friends, especially moments shared at the farm with her beloved husband, Kenny. She had a deep love for animals and never hesitated to help any stray dog that crossed her path.

Survivors include her loving husband of 42 years, Kenny; two daughters, Tracy Silvers of Denver, Colorado, and Gina Wilson and her husband, Jeremy, of Broomfield, Colorado; a son, Joe Schafer and his wife, Becca, of Durango, Colorado; a brother, Dr. Joseph Love, Jr., and his wife, Laurie, of Champaign, Illinois; six grandchildren, Saffron Silvers, Sage Silvers, Madeline Wilson, Jack Wilson, Liat Schafer, and Sadie Schafer; and many extended relatives and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her granddaughter, Natasha Hashman.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 North Chestnut, McPherson, Kansas 67460. Burial will follow at McPherson Cemetery.

Sondra Simon, 72, Rantoul, KS, died Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at her home. She was born Sondra Boss on July 21, 1953, to Max and Annabelle (Quinn) Boss.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

 Sondra was a graduate of Bennington High School. She worked at Tony’s Pizza for over 30 years. After that, she became a massage therapist and that was job she thoroughly enjoyed.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 

She had a strong faith and love for Jesus Christ. She was a longtime member of the Bennington Bible Church and various Emanuel Foursquare churches. She was a lover of animals, especially dogs and horses. Sondra loved spending time with her family and she adored her grandchildren. She never knew a stranger, and it was almost annoying how she would talk to anyone at any time.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 

She was preceded in death by her father, Max.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Todd Pooler, 64, of Salina, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.Todd was born in Augusta, Maine, on February 15, 1961, to Anita (Gagne) and Arthur Pooler.

After graduating from high school, Todd entered the United States Army, where he proudly served for seven years in the United States, Germany, and overseas. During his service, Todd worked in the military police and took great pride in protecting and supporting those around him.

Following his military career, Todd held numerous jobs, including construction and cooking—his lifelong passion. Each year, he dedicated a month of his time to Habitat for Humanity or Mission work, using his skills to help build and repair homes for others. Todd was known for being a hard worker with a generous heart, always ready to lend a hand.

Todd is survived by his sisters, Vanessa Mayhew; Michelle Hughes; and Lisa Giguere all of Winslow, Maine; and by his brother, Brad Pooler and his wife, Angel of Salina, Kansas. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as countless beloved friends in the Salina area.He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation has been chosen, and no services will take place in accordance with Todd’s wishes.

Darwin Leon Gray, Salina, Kansas (91) passed away January 26, 2026. Born on 8 January 1935 in Assaria, Kansas to Edwin and May (Smith) Gray.

Leon is preceded in death by Edwin (Father), May (Mother), Lloyd (Half-Brother), Larry (Brother), Lola (Half-Sister), Oda (Half-Sister), and Oral (Half-Sister).

Leon married Diana Greenegard on May 15, 1960, in Fostoria, Kansas.

Dad was a graduate of the Assaria High School Class of 1953. Following graduation, he went to work in bridge construction. Leon then went on to work for the State of Kansas for 39 years. First, working as a dispatcher and communications technician for the Kansas Highway Patrol. Then, as a Communications Coordinator for the KS Dept of EMS.

After retirement, he drove a school bus for USD 306 Southeast of Saline for 19 years as a substitute bus driver. Finally, Leon drove a bus for 9 years for the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) of Salina.

He was active in many organizations. Leon was a Charter Life member of the American Radio Relay League (Ham Radio). He served as Frequency Coordinator for APCO for several years. Dad was a Life Member of both National Rifle Association and Kansas State Rifle Association. Leon was also a member of the Bennington Chapter, Kansas State Society Sons Of The American Revolution. Leon was a Life Member of the VFW Auxiliary and a new member of American Legion Post 62. Finally, He was a licensed private pilot.

In 1953, Leon enlisted in the U.S. Naval Reserve serving for 6 years and then enlisting in the U.S. Army Reserve serving for 3 years. He received Honorable Discharges from both services.

A memorial service with military honors is scheduled for February 14, 2026, at 2 pm at Ryans Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kansas Honor Flight or your favorite charity. Condolences may be left at Ryans.

Leon was a Charter Life member of the American Radio Relay League (Ham Radio). He served as Frequency Coordinator for APCO for several years. Dad was a Life Member of both National Rifle Association and Kansas State Rifle Association. Leon was also a member of the Bennington Chapter, Kansas State Society Sons Of The American Revolution. Leon was a Life Member of the VFW Auxiliary and a new member of American Legion Post 62. Finally, He was a licensed private pilot.In 1953, Leon enlisted in the U.S. Naval Reserve serving for 6 years and then enlisting in the U.S. Army Reserve serving for 3 years. He received Honorable Discharges from both services.A memorial service with military honors is scheduled for February 14, 2026, at 2 pm at Ryans Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kansas Honor Flight or your favorite charity. Helen Graves, 99, of Salina, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2026.&nbsp; She was born December 16, 1926 on the family ranch in Ellsworth County, KS to Tom and Minnie (Wagner) Wikoff.&nbsp;

Helen attended a one room schoolhouse until the 8th&nbsp;grade.&nbsp; She then attended Brookville High School, graduating in 1944.&nbsp;

She married John A. Graves on February 14, 1951.&nbsp;

Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, John; parents, brothers, Paul, Lester and Grant Wikoff, sister Florence Schwerdtfager and Jay and Don Graves

She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Walker. &nbsp;Patti Counts; grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.&nbsp;

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at Ryan Mortuary.&nbsp; Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 4th&nbsp;at Ryan Mortuary.&nbsp;

Francis Rolon Temple, 87 Salina, KS passed away Saturday, January 31, 2026. Francis was born on September 4, 1938, at Cheyenne Wells, CO.

He married Wanda on October 5, 1956, and happily married for 53 years. They raised five children. Francis and Wanda settled in Omaha, NE where he was employed at Mid-Continent Bottling Company for 20 years, then moving to Lincoln, NE in 2000 working in Lincoln Public Schools. Francis will be remembered for his endless love of family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and camping. 

Francis moved back to Salina, KS in 2010 to be closer to family and friends. He then married Judy Thayer.

He is survived by his wife, Judy; his children from his first marriage, Rick Temple of May, OK, Alan Temple of Bennington KS, Doug (Jolene) Temple of Buchanan, ND, and Pam (Brad) Allen of Lincoln NE; 13 grandchildren and 18 great Grandchildren; stepchildren, Alan, Terry, and Kay Thayer; and brother, Raymond (Mary) Temple.

He was preceded by death by his first wife, Wanda; son, Ronald in 1964; parents; eight brothers; and two sisters. 

          Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M., Friday, February 6 at the Tescott United Methodist Church, 201 N. Minnesota Ave., Tescott, KS 67484. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 A.M. Laurie Rae Aufdemberge was born on August 22nd in Norfolk, Nebraska to Vernon Wood and Martha Koch. She was a dedicated loan officer of Bennington State Bank for 27 years and a member of Faith Lutheran Church, where she served as the financial secretary and a Sunday school teacher. She had a love for her plants, sports, weekend naps, and a good, strong cup of coffee. Her talent of interior design was evident when you walked into her home – warm and inviting just like she was. Laurie was a light everywhere she went and to everyone she met. She loved gathering with family and friends in “The Shack”, facetiming and reading books with her grandkids, and sitting with her beloved husband on their back porch, simply enjoying each other’s presence in God’s creation.

Her family, who awaits to join her in the presence of our Savior are as follows; her soulmate, Mike Aufdemberge, mother, Marty Koch of Lincoln, NE, daughters, Lindsay Watson of Phoenix, AZ, Miranda Weidenhaft (Chase) of Shady Bend, KS, Lexa Gillen (Spencer) of Morrill, NE. Victoria (Vikki) Jane Whitead was born August 10, 1952, in Red Cloud, Nebraska to Loren and Avis (Schoonover) Hoskins.&nbsp; She was married to Kenneth L. Lager on September 6, 1969.&nbsp; To this union six children were born.&nbsp; She married Dwight J. Whitead on February 25, 2001, in Woodland Park, Colorado and added to her family two stepchildren.

Vikki’s restless nature inspired her to call several states home. From Nebraska, Oregon, Florida, and Colorado, to her last stop in Kansas. Vikki worked in Newspaper advertising sales and church ministry. &nbsp; Vikki enjoyed her work as a ministerial Coordinator, where she was a member at the Fellowship Christian Church in Concordia.&nbsp; She was co-president of Christian Women’s Outreach and served as a volunteer and board member of CASA.

Vikki enjoyed her family, working in the church, women’s ministry, her ladies Bible study group, LAFF (life after fifty-five) group, and her little dog Ruby. She also enjoyed her visits with her siblings and nieces and nephews.&nbsp; Vikki was generous of spirit. She desired to see the best in people and welcomed people of all makes and models.&nbsp; She enjoyed deep conversations and was a good listener.&nbsp; &nbsp;

Vikki passed away after a brief battle with ovarian cancer at the age of 73 years old on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at Ottawa County Health Center in Minneapolis, Ks.&nbsp;

Victoria will be deeply missed by her husband Dwight J. Whitead; her children from her first marriage to Kenneth Lager, Karri, Sonya, Mandy, Wendy, Quentin, and Danielle; sons-in-law, Bill, Richard, Scott, Todd, and Andy; step-children, Zachary and Ashley, daughter-in-law Cynde, grandchildren, Airell, Austin, Dakota, Levi, Max, Carson, Emily, Brianna, Sawyer, Sylvanna, Jordan, Emalee, Isabella, Tyler, Breanna, Lydia, Titus, Drew, Oliver, Penelope, Emma, and Abigail; 12 great grandchildren; siblings, sister, MaryEllen and brother Don, and many nieces and nephews.

Victoria Jane Whitead

Adella Ruth (Bohn) Parks, the daughter of Matt Bohn and Ruth (Berroth) Bohn, was born on November 22, 1937, at Alma, Kansas. She was one of 8 children; Charles, Delbert, Jean, Bernice, Dave, Judy, and Larry. She attended a one room school house in Alma.

On June 29, 1954, Adella was united in marriage to Clement Roy Parks, Jr. at Alma, Kansas. The young couple established their first home together in Hill City for several years prior to moving to McPherson, Kansas. Through the years, Adella was a stay at home mom and enjoyed taking care of her family. After her children were older, she had an in-home daycare, and occasionally, would clean houses for a few people in town.

Adella was a Christian, loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend to many.

Adella Parks, 88, passed away on January 29th, 2026, while in the loving care of her daughter, Rebecca, in Colorado. Adella was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Charles, Delbert, and Dave; and two sisters, Jean and Bernice; two sons, Monty and Gordon; a son-in-law, Robert Carlson; a granddaughter, Shayna Pritchard; and three grandsons, Cole and Cody Parks and Atcher Nading.

Mary Kathleen Kindel, known as Kathy, age 74, of Aurora, Kansas, passed away Monday, February 2, 2026 in Aurora, KS surrounded by her family.&nbsp; Kathy was born on March 6, 1951 to John &amp; Velda (Geisler) May in Concordia, KS

She graduated from Concordia High School, where she met the love of her life, Gene Kindel.&nbsp;&nbsp;They were married on&nbsp;June 14, 1969 and together they had five children, Kathleen, Mike, William, Allen &amp; Kevin.

For many years, Kathy worked at Scott Specialties. She was a member of the Aurora Altar Society and St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Aurora.&nbsp;&nbsp;Kathy enjoyed sewing, crafting, and tending to her flowers, but above all, she cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an avid bird watcher and enthusiast.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, John &amp; Velda May, her husband, Gene; an infant son, William; brother, David May and her sister, Carol.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am, Friday, February 6, 2026 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Aurora, Kansas, with Fr. Michael Leiker officiating.&nbsp;&nbsp;Burial will follow at St. Concordia Cemetery, Concordia, Kansas.&nbsp;&nbsp;A luncheon will be served at the K of C Hall in Aurora for family and friends following the graveside service in Concordia.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Rosary service at 6:00 pm on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at the church in Aurora, the family will receive friends after the rosary service.&nbsp;

Glenda Ann Mummert, 75, of Derby (formerly of Salina), passed away Thursday, January 29, 2026. &nbsp;She was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on December 28, 1950, to George L. Brand and Leona P. (Tomlinson). &nbsp;She taught at Kansas State University and Salina Aerial Technical College. &nbsp;She also served on the board of education. &nbsp;

Survivors include her daughter, Sherri Davis (Chris); grandchildren, Rodolfo Garcia II (Megan), Jose Garcia, Malachia Garcia (Viviana Gonzalez); great-grandchildren, Rololfo Garcia III, Kailena Hallman, Penelope Garcia, Rafael Garcia, Beckman, Braylon Lies, Adelina Bocanegra. &nbsp;

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 44 years, Larry Mummert, and sister, Linda. &nbsp;

Burial will take place in Roselawn Cemetery. &nbsp;

Marshall H. Charbonneau was born on November 11, 1936, in Concordia, Kansas, to Fremont and Barbara (Mentgen) Charbonneau. He passed peacefully from this life on Friday, January 30, 2026, at North Central Kansas Medical Center in Concordia at the age of 89.

On February 7, 1959, he married Mary Louise (Vint) Charbonneau, in Concordia. Together they raised four daughters: Marcia, Marian, Michelle, and Melanie.

Marshall was a hardworking man his entire life. In his younger years, he worked in construction for Hillary Wentz. In 1970, he began a long and proud career as a truck driver for C&amp;C Truck Line, where he logged over one million miles behind the wheel of his Kenworth semi — earning a special jacket to prove it. He continued driving until 2020, retiring at the age of 83. He nicknamed his last truck, “Blackie” for its black Kenworth exterior, it was one of his favorites. Even into his late 80s, Marshall stayed busy working summers for the Cloud County Highway Department, hauling rock from Clay Center. He was always early to work and never clocked out until his two loads were finished.

Marshall was a happy-go-lucky guy with an easygoing personality. One of his most cherished moments was serving as Santa Claus at Sunset Home last Christmas, bringing smiles to everyone around him. He enjoyed watching new construction, especially the new hospital and college tech building and sat and watched the old hospital being demolished. He loved people watching at Walmart and carried that same curiosity with him during his time at Sunset Home, where he always seemed to know the latest happenings.
