Paul Wesley Yost, 74, of Salina, passed away Friday, July 24, 2026, at Salina Regional Health Center in Salina. He was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, on May 12, 1952, to Paul Edgar Yost and Opal Marie (Rayburn) Yost. He joined the United States Army September 1970 and served until June 1982.
Survivors include his sons, Charles William Yost (Heather), of South Bend, Indiana, and Thomas Wesley Yost, of Salina, Kansas; granddaughter, Helena C. Yost of South Bend, Indiana; and Sharon Ann Cassel (Yost)
He is preceded in death by his parents; stepmothers, Lillian Jesse Long and Urselina Yost; brother, Rodney “Red” Dale Yost; sister, Peggy Ruth Yost (Henry); grandparents, Francis M. Yost, Elizabeth E. (Brown) Yost, Rueben Yost, and Sarah Salome Yost (Hetrick); uncles and aunts, Roy Franklin Yost, Margaret Minnie Yost, Harry Wilbur Yost, Fred Earl Yost, Lena E. Yost, William Wesley Yost, Lydia Gladys Yost, Francis J. Yost, and Minnie Yost.
Graveside service is 10 a.m. Friday, August 21, 2026, at Kansas Veterans Cemetery, Manhattan. Fort Riley Honor Guard will provide military honors.
