James’ life began on May 1, 1928, in Florence, KS. He was the son of James Arthur and Edith L. (Drush) Snelling. He was a 1946 graduate of Florence High School. James enlisted in the United States Air Force on May 20, 1946, and served until May 19, 1949, when he left the service as a staff sergeant.

James was united in marriage to the former Luella Beneke on June 6, 1954, in Lincolnville, KS. &nbsp;He worked at the Florence Bulletin before being employed by Trans World Airlines as a customer service and operations agent at Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City. James' job with TWA allowed the family to travel to many different cities in the U.S. and abroad. The family later moved to Wichita where he worked at Mid-Continent Airport until he retired from TWA in 1985. &nbsp;He then had several part-time jobs until Luella retired.&nbsp;

James enjoyed attending the Florence High School Alumni banquets every year.&nbsp; He was a long-time member of Ascension Lutheran Church in Wichita and served on the church's Commission of Properties, mowing and caring for the lawn well into his 80s. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening (he loved his tomato plants!) and spending time with his family.

James is survived by his children Doranne (Roger) Beavers of Norman, OK, James (Linda) Snelling of Bells, TX, Mark Snelling of Wichita, Brad Snelling of Wichita, and Kay (Ron) Adams of Wichita; grandchildren Zac (Mira) Beavers, Tyler (Lexie) Beavers, and Cody (Christina) Beavers, Kyle (Natalie) Koontz, Cody (Lindsey) Koontz and Rachel Parker; and 15 great-grandchildren. 

James passed away on January 30, 2022, at Wichita Presbyterian Manor. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, grandson Ryan Parker, and siblings John Snelling and Shirley Robinson.

James' family will gather with friends on Sunday February 6, 2022, at Ascension Lutheran Church (842 N. Tyler Road; Wichita) for his funeral service at 2 p.m. with a visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. He will be laid to rest in Hillcrest Cemetery, Florence following the service.

Sara Lou Burwell, 83, of Abilene, Kansas, passed away on Monday, January 31, in Abilene.

Sara was born in Newton, Kansas on May 29, 1938, a daughter of the late Wayne and Gertrude (Austin) Brainerd.

Sara grew up in Whitewater, Kansas, graduating from Whitewater High School in 1956.

On November 10, 1960, Sara married Willis Lott in Whitewater, Kansas. They shared 22 years of marriage and raised three children in Minneapolis, Kansas.

Sara retired from Bennington State Bank in Bennington, Kansas in 2004.

On June 7, 2002, Sara married Bill Burwell in Abilene, Kansas.

Sara was a member of the Methodist Church throughout her life and enjoyed participating in the choir and playing the bells.

Family was very important to her and she attended as many of her children’s and grandchildren’s activities as possible. She was a regular at high school and college football, volleyball and basketball games.

Survivors include her husband Bill Burwell; daughters Kathy Zuker, of Minneapolis, Kansas, Kelly Lott of Inman, Kansas; son John Lott (Kristen) of Minneapolis, Kansas; stepdaughters Kay Stoddard (Jay) of Wakefield, Kansas, Shelly Pennington (Todd) of Salina, Kansas; 14 grandchildren Christopher (Jayme), Benjamin (Allison), Joseph (Natalie), Andrew (Katherine), Jordyn, Trea (Aspen), Kiley, Bridget (Tyler), Ryan, Eric (Ashley), Casey, Taylor, Cody, Corey; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Sara is also survived by two sisters, Kathryn (LeRoy) of Omaha, Arkansas and Lois Brainerd of Whitewater, Kansas. She is preceded in death by her husband Willis Lott; husband Jack Plunkett; son Wayne Lott; and brother Donald Brainerd.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Friday, February 4 at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 5 at Wilson Family Funeral Home with Pastor Lindsey Brummer officiating.

Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis, Kansas.

Thomas “Tom” David Wilkinson, 80, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 10, 2022 at Salina Regional Health Center in Salina, KS.

Tom was born on March 2, 1941 to Clarence and Mabel Wilkinson. He attended the Kansas School for the Deaf in Olathe, KS and after graduation he moved to Salina. Tom retired from Kansas State University-Salina where he worked as a Custodian for 25 years. He was an active member of the First Southern Baptist Church.

Tom enjoyed painting, drawing and fishing. Tom was a happy person and had a kind and gentle nature. He will be remembered for his cheerful attitude and bright smile.&nbsp;

Tom was preceded in death by his father and mother. He is survived by his brother Allen of Overland Park.

A private inurnment will take place in Overland Park. There will not be a service.&nbsp;

Bernice Flaherty Shaffstall, 100, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Lincoln Park Manor, Lincoln, KS. She was born July 4, 1921 in Portis, Osborne County, KS to Louis and Stella (Doane) Pottberg.

Bernice married Paul E. Flaherty in Phoenix, AZ on March 7, 1942. The couple had three sons, Larry, Rich, and Jim. After Paul passed, Bernice married Raymond Shaffstall in Lincoln, KS on October 19, 1996. 

She was an assistant in the doctor’s office and an Avon representative in Lincoln for many years. Bernice enjoyed playing pinochle with all of her life-long friends. She was a member of the Lincoln United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Bernice is survived by her sons Larry Flaherty (Regina) of Houston, TX and Rich Flaherty (Ricci) of Henderson, NV; daughter-in-law Mona Flaherty of Bixby, OK; grandchildren Pam Straube (Tim), David Flaherty (Katherine), Joe Flaherty (Caroline), Kristin Garrick (Kent), Erin Flaherty (Anne), Shannan McClain (Daniel), and Michael Flaherty (Amanda); and great-grandchildren, Jacob, Megan, Cadel, Zade, Ozlo, Sean, Brian, Brennan, Mason, Ethan, Owen, and Finn.

Norma Jean Adams, the daughter of Harold Hickman and Aldia (LaVoie) Hickman, was born May 5, 1933 in Salina, Kansas and passed away on January 30, 2022 in Belleville, Kansas at the age of 88 years, 8 months, and 25 days.

Norma Jean received her elementary and secondary education, and later graduated from the Miltonvale Wesleyan Academy, Miltonvale, Kansas.

On April 26, 1953 she was united in marriage to R. Duane Adams and to this union one son, David was born.&nbsp; The couple was married nearly 62 years.

Norma Jean was a nursing assistant at the Sunset Home in Concordia, Kansas and later at the Biderwell Hospital, and later Republic County Hospital in Belleville for several years.&nbsp;&nbsp; She then was the church custodian at the Wesleyan Church and later the United Presbyterian Church, both in Belleville until 2008.

Norma Jean did volunteer work at the area nursing homes for many years.&nbsp; &nbsp;She also played the piano and entertained the residents.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; She enjoyed music and singing in the church choir.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Aldia Hickman;&nbsp;and her husband Duane in 2015.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 5, 2022 at the Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, Belleville, Kansas with Pastor Jacob Rice officiating.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Robert Lester "Bob" Hopp, 65, of Abilene, Kansas, passed away at 12:23 a.m. Sunday, January 30, 2022 while surrounded by his family at Salina Regional Health Center, Salina, Kansas. Bob was born in Lindsborg, Kansas on August 27, 1956, a son of Shirley Esther (Pintler) and Lester Leroy Hopp. Bob attended the Lindsborg schools and graduated from Lindsborg High School, Lindsborg, Kansas in 1974. He participated in FFA in high school and received numerous awards. He later attended various trade schools all over the United States for his work. Bob was a member of the First Baptist Church, Lindsborg and later became a member of Harmony Christian Church, McPherson. Robert Lester Hopp was united in marriage to Beth Marie Perkins on May 2, 1987 at the First Baptist Church, Lindsborg, Kansas. The young couple established their first home together in Lindsborg, Kansas. This union was blessed with the birth of two sons, Adam and Owen. The family moved to McPherson in 1994. The family moved to Abilene in 2003. Through the years Bob worked as a farmer on the family farm and for other neighbors. He worked at Columbia Industry as a extruder operator and die repair. He then worked for Dauer Implement as a assistant service manager and Tech, worked for Farmers Union Elevator delivering fuel, worked for Case Power and Equipment as assistant service manager and tech, Engquist Tractor Service as block machinist. Bob has been working for 19 years for Abilene Machine Inc., Solomon, Kansas and was currently the engine shop supervisor. Bob was skilled in complete block repair, and haddeveloped tools to make some machining jobs possible. In 2001, in a AERA Idea Contest, he came up with an idea that won first place. Bob enjoyed farming, agriculture, anything mechanical and valued all his fellow workers. His family was the most important and he cherished all the times they were able to get together especially the family reunions. He also loved his pets dearly. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of over 34 years, Beth Hopp, of Abilene, Kansas; his sons Adam Hopp, of Abilene and Owen Hopp and his fiancée Melissa, of Abilene; his brother Lyle Hopp and his wife Nadine, of Marshall, Texas; and his favorite grandson, Mason. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Deborah Hopp. A private family graveside service will be held at the McPherson Cemetery in McPherson, Kansas. A Celebration of life will be held at a later date and once it is planned will be posted here. Fred Edwin Roelfs, 90, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away Friday, January 28, 2022, at Riverview Estates, Marquette, Kansas. He was born February 14, 1931, in St. Francis, Kansas, the son of Theodore and Lula Roelfs. Fred was a graduate of St. Francis High School, St. Francis, Kansas, 1949. He was a surveyor for the construction of Bonny Dam in 1951. Fred enlisted in the Air Force in November 1951, and was a mechanic at Luke Air Force Base, Glendale, Arizona. He was honorably discharged in 1955. In 1951, Fred married Phyllis Powell. They had two sons, Ronald and Tom. After Fred’s discharge from the service, they made their home in McPherson, Kansas. He worked for Southwestern Bell as a lineman, continuing through AT&amp;T’s buyout of the company. After retirement, he was an independent telephone installation and repair technician. Fred married Virginia Pressnall in 1978. She preceded him in death. In 1991, Fred married Sharon Fuller Lucas. Fred was a member of First Christian Church, McPherson, where he sang in the choir and volunteered maintenance services for several years. He also donated his time delivering Friendship Meals. Monthly, Fred met with the Pioneers, a group of retired telephone employees, for food and conversation. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially with his sons and grandchildren. Fred was an avid golfer and talented woodworker. Besides his faith, nothing mattered more to Fred than spending time with family. Preceding Fred in death were his parents, his brothers, Harry, Bernard, Rowland, Raymond, and Rex, and a sister, Doris, his daughter-in-law Donna, and granddaughter Brianne Roelfs. Verna married Chris Montoya in Topeka, KS on August 14, 1986. She was a longtime resident of Holyrood, KS where she and Chris owned C&amp;V’s Convenience Store.

Verna is survived by her husband Chris of Holyrood; son Kenny Montoya (Jolene Savolt) of Kansas City, KS; daughter Candi Smith (Fred) of Holyrood; son Kyle Montoya (Megan) of Manhattan, KS; son Jason Montoya (Angela) of Wichita, KS; daughter Amber Montoya of Rossville, KS; 11 grandchildren; brothers Darryl Krier (Ronda) and Jay Krier; and sisters Barbara Krier and Jodi Baltazor. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Mike Krier.

Jolene Kay Doyle, lovingly known as Jo, age 69, passed from this life on January 30, 2022, peacefully in her home surrounded by family.

She was born July 12, 1952 right here in Beloit, Kansas, to Gertrude and Floyd Hyman. On January 3, 1970, she married her husband of 41 years, Gary L. Doyle, Sr. of Lakin, Kansas. Jolene and Gary had two children, Tina Boyd (Sandy) of Hampton, Virginia, and Gary Jr. (Patty) of Beloit, Kansas.

&nbsp;Jolene and her family enjoyed traveling the world during Gary Sr.’s 20-year Navy career. They lived as close as Mississippi, and as far as Puerto Rico, and even Iceland. In 1989, Gary Sr. retired from the Navy, and they came back to live in Beloit.

After returning to Beloit, Jo worked for over 20 years as assistant manager for Dollar General since their opening in 1990.

Left to celebrate her life and mourn her passing are her children Tina (Sandy) Boyd of Hampton, Virginia, Gary Jr. (Patty) of Beloit; eight grandchildren, Sierra, Lexi, Kaylie (Keith), and Sam and LeAnn, Shandi, Trevor, and Preston; three great-grandchildren, Ivan, Liberty, and Jameson; and boyfriend Mark Heinen.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 3 at Roberts Family Funeral Home.&nbsp; Visitation will be from be from 1-7 p.m. with family present from 5-6:30 p.m. Wednesday.&nbsp; 

Memorials may be given to the Solomon Valley Hospice or the Post Rock Humane Society.&nbsp;

Sister Dorothy Hoover died January 30, 2022, at Nazareth Motherhouse in Concordia, KS.&nbsp; She was 92 years old and a Sister of St. Joseph for 69 years.&nbsp; She was born in Junction City, KS on November 14, 1929 to Laurence and Josephine Caspar Hoover, the oldest of three children, and was baptized Dorothy.&nbsp; 

She entered the Sisters of St. Joseph, Concordia, Kansas on February 11, 1953.&nbsp; On August 15, 1953, she received the habit of the Sisters of St. Joseph and was given the name Sister Mary de Lourdes, later returning to her baptismal name Dorothy.&nbsp; She pronounced first vows on August 15, 1954 and final vows on August 15, 1957.

Sister Dorothy received her BSN in nursing from Marymount College in 1962 followed by a BS in Ppharmacy from Creighton University in 1965, an MA in guidance and counseling in 1976 and a masters in nursing from Kansas University in 1982.&nbsp; 

Dorothy ministered in hospitals staffed by the Sisters of St. Joseph as head nurse and chief pharmacist.&nbsp; She was a nursing instructor and lecturer in pharmacology at Marymount College and a nursing instructor at Avila College and Creighton University, spanning 43 years.&nbsp; In 2006 she moved to Concordia, KS, where she volunteered within the community.

Sister Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents.&nbsp; 

She is survived by two brothers, Dr. Bernard (Sheila) Hoover of Baldwin, MO, and Fr. James Hoover of Concordia.&nbsp; 

The Mass of Christian Burial will be February 3 at 10:30 a.m. in the Motherhouse Chapel with Rev. Barry Brinkman presiding.&nbsp; Sister Janet Lander is the eulogist.&nbsp;&nbsp;

To attend the funeral all must be fully vaccinated, boosted and wear a mask.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The funeral will be live streamed on the Sisters of St. Joseph Facebook page.&nbsp; The burial will be in the Nazareth Motherhouse Cemetery.&nbsp;

Donna Marie Lawrence, age 76, entered into rest on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the Cloud County Health Center, Concordia, Kansas.&nbsp; She was born December 18, 1945 in Concordia, Kansas to Raymond F. and Margaret M. (Chartier) Waite.

Donna was a Concordia High School graduate. On June 13, 1965, she married Roy Lester Lawrence in Belleville, Kansas.&nbsp; Roy preceded her in death on September 16, 2020.

Donna was a homemaker.&nbsp; Donna also worked for a short time for the school system and she did a lot of babysitting for the neighbor kids. &nbsp;She enjoyed playing cards with family and getting iced (lots of ice) tea and driving around town. Most of all Donna enjoyed being a grandmother to her seven grandchildren and one great-grandson.

She is survived by her sons Roy Lawrence (Charlotte), Concordia, KS; Willie Lawrence (Karla), Concordia, KS; Travis Lawrence (AJ), Sheridan, WY; sister Dixie Burchfiel, Concordia, KS; sisters-in-law Laura Christensen (Damon), Concordia, KS; Lorna Waite, Salina, KS; &nbsp;seven grandchildren and one great-grandson, many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Roy, parents Raymond and Margaret, brothers Raymond E. (Sonny) Waite, Jerry Waite, sisters Betty Mendenhall, Dorothy Langston, Phyllis Morrison, Sharon Weaver.

Visitation will be held 1:00 to 5:00 Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.

on January 19, 2022 at Salina Presbyterian Manor. He was born in Silo,&nbsp;

Oklahoma on September 13, 1935 to Saunie Ray Dirickson and Francis B.&nbsp;(Schults) Dirickson. John graduated from Cypress/Fairbanks High School (Texas) in 1953. In October 1953 John joined the US Air Force. He specialized in missile electronics, he spent three years in Germany where he was assigned to the&nbsp;missiles program. While in Australia on special assignment, the Captain&nbsp;told John that a telegram came in that he had made E-9 Chief Master&nbsp;Sergeant. So after only 16 years in the Air Force, he had reached his&nbsp;goal. He retired five years later at the age of 38. He then worked for the&nbsp;Honeywell Corporation for 18 years before retiring. He married Annabelle Chitwood on October 19, 1957; she preceded him in death&nbsp;in 2007. John married Earline Brown (Gordine) on November 8, 2007. In 2018 they&nbsp;moved from Pharr, Tx to Salina, KS to be cared for. John was a man who loved life. He was a great storyteller. He was an avid golfer who played golf with men 20 years his junior. John is survived by his wife Earline, sisters Mary McDuffie of Sweeny, TX&nbsp;and Joy Francis Schults of The Woodlands, TX; his stepchildren Linda&nbsp;(Steve) Flynn of Abilene, KS, Keenan Brown of Salina, KS, Kim Vering of&nbsp;Salina, Ks, Brenda (Gary) Klingbeil of Grapevine, TX and Melissa (Eric) Calub&nbsp;of Coppell, TX, and many nieces and nephews that loved him dearly. SALINA - Nancy Louise Wagner, 84, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Smoky Hill Rehabilitation Center in Salina, Ks.&nbsp; She was born Tuesday, January 4, 1938 in Salina, to Dee and Foi Vaile (Lichtenberger) Atteberry.

Nancy married Dennis Wagner on March 14, 1959.&nbsp; They had been married 36 years before he passed away on December 4, 1995.&nbsp; 

She graduated from Salina Central in 1956 and Kansas Wesleyan University in 1960.&nbsp; She was a sales associate at Kohl's and Kmart, had worked as a bookkeeper for Barragree Rental and was a certified elementary and junior high public school teacher from 1973 to 1978.

She loved her family, friends, grandchildren, great-grandson, quilting, gardening, being a member of the Bluestem Daylily Society, doing jigsaw puzzles, and her many cats and dogs that she had adopted through the animal shelter and had when she was younger.

She was an amazing, kind, and friendly person with a no nonsense personality, who will be greatly and dearly missed.&nbsp; Everyone will cherish all their wonderful memories they had of her.&nbsp; She was extremely talented and made beautiful quilts that we are so fortunate to have to always remember her by.&nbsp; She was loving to and loved by all family and friends.&nbsp; There was no one else like her.&nbsp; She did so much for her family and we will miss her terribly.&nbsp; Rest in peace our precious angel.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Dennis; parents Dee and&nbsp; Foi Vaile Atteberry; brothers Robert and Harold Atteberry; and grandson, Casey Jr.&nbsp; She was also preceded by her many animals she had throughout the years: Shadow, Breezie, Sally, Cinco, Ginger, Poppy, Angie, Yoshi, Mitzie, Annie, Little Fella, Cocoa, Buffy, Goldie, Pierre, Patches, Mitten, Fluffy, Smoky, Chan, Fifi, Tai Ling, Charlie the rabbit, her childhood dog Taffee, and cat Panda.

She is survived by her daughter Leann (Casey) Sparks of Salina; grandchildren Khayleigh-Huntyr (Thomas Schooler) Sparks of Moundridge, KS, Kharringtyn-McKhynleigh and Kheestyn-McKhormyck Sparks of Salina; and great-grandson Alec Schooler of Moundridge, KS.&nbsp; She is also survived by her dog Mollie and cats Angel and Sadie. &nbsp;

Her wishes were to be cremated.&nbsp; Services will be at a later date. &nbsp;

Jerry Frank Brewer, 72, of Council Grove passed away on January 26, 2022, at his residence. He was born to Thomas Earl Brewer and Annie Bell Glover in Batesville, MS.

Jerry lived the first 18 years of his life in Batesville, MS where he graduated high school. He then advanced his education for one year following high school. 

In 1970, Jerry enlisted into the Army, where he spent the next seven years traveling the country with one tour in Vietnam. Jerry was honorably discharged from the Army at Ft. Riley, KS and he spent the next 25 years of his life in Junction City.&nbsp; 

On November 11, 1977, Jerry married the love of his life Laura in Junction City. 

Jerry worked as an assembly line worker for Armour Swift plant in Junction City.&nbsp; 

Jerry and Laura lived several years in the Herington area, before Laura was moved to the nursing home in Council Grove. This led Jerry to follow.

A faithful believer in Christ, Jerry stated many times that he found his way to Christ by listening to recordings of the late Billy Graham. He was a faithful member of the 1st&nbsp;Baptist Church in Junction City, Herington and Council Grove.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Laura who passed in 2019. 

He is survived by four nephews: Gary Kasten of Manhattan, Wayne and Richard Kasten of White City, and Randy Kasten of Herington. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Clyde Kasten and Andella Kasten. 

Yazel-Megli Funeral Home, Herington Chapel is serving the family.

Funeral service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Council Grove, 501 Country Ln., at 2:00 p.m. with graveside military honors to follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Herington, KS.

Marion - Norine Holtsclaw, 85, passed away January 28, 2022 at Hillsboro Community Hospital in Hillsboro. She was born September 24, 1936 in Newkirk, Oklahoma to Elijah and Sarah Marie Fadley. 

Survivors include: husband Keith Holtsclaw of Marion; daughter Sarah Holtsclaw of Hillsboro; brother Don Fadley of Grove, Oklahoma; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. 

Predeceased by a son, Mark Holtsclaw in 2015.

Champel Marie Lindsay, 38, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 26, at her home. Champel was born in Newton, Kansas on December 6, 1983, a daughter of Debra Ann McFadden, and Charles "Chuck" Burgess Lindsay. Champel attended Roosevelt Grade School, McPherson Middle School, and graduated from McPherson High School, McPherson, Kansas in 2002. In high school, she was in the marching band and played the flute and piccolo. Through the years, Champel worked at Mr. B's Restaurant, Best Western Hotel, and was currently working for Service Master. Champel enjoyed reading, music, genealogy, working puzzles, loved watching sports and holidays hanging with her friends, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her mother Debra &amp;and Chris McFadden, of Marion, Kansas; and her father Charles "Chuck" Lindsay of Peabody, Kansas; her sister Amber Lindsay, of McPherson, Kansas; her half-sister Candee, wife of Kevin McKinney, of Newton, Kansas; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Carolyn and Wilford Woddell; uncle Terry Woddell, and paternal grandparents Irene and Wilbur Sattler. Services will be at a later date. Justina was born on November 26, 1934, at Camp 45, Chihuahua, Mexico to Jacob H. and Lena (Koehn) Goertzen. On August 17, 1952, she was united in marriage to Leonard Koehn at La Tena Chihuahua, Mexico. He preceded her in death on September 15, 2010. She was a member of Zion Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, Inman Survivors include: four sons, Willard and Jennie, Clifford and Cheryl, of Inman, Kansas, Calvin and Lawanna, of Hazelton, Idaho, Lyle and Margaret, of Hartwell, Georgia; three daughters, Arlene and Lindley Toews, of Whitemouth, Manitoba, Lenora and Lance Dirks, of Rich Hill, Missouri, and Glenda Smith, of Sedgwick, Kansas; one daughter-in-law, Sara Koehn of Inman, Kansas; 34 grandchildren; 69 great-grandchildren; siblings Elizabeth Becker, Jake and Anne Goertzen, Cornelius and Verla Goertzen, Herman and Jewel Goertzen, David and Jolene Goertzen; sisters-in-law, Verna Goertzen, and Susie and Benjamin Parra; and one uncle, Walter Schmidt. Preceding her in death are her parents; husband Leonard; one son, Clinton; one son-in-law, Rodney Smith; siblings John and Henry, and four siblings who died in infancy, Abe, William, Agnes, and Lena; one brother-law, Herman Koehn; and a sister-in-law, Mildred Schmidt. The visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Zion Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, Inman, KS. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 31, at Zion Church of God in Christ, Mennonite. Burial will follow at the Zion Church Cemetery.
