High wind warnings have no been issued for much of Kansas for Wednesday.
The high wind warnings replace the high wind watches that were issued earlier in the week for Wednesday.

The National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a high wind warning in effect from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Wednesday for the following counties in our area.
●Ellsworth County
●Lincoln County
●Marion County
●McPherson County
●Saline County
Southwest winds of 30 to 50 mph with gusts up to 70 mph are expected.
Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Blowing dust will be possible and would reduce visibilities making travel under these conditions hazardous.
People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around trees and branches. If possible, remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Use caution if you must drive.

●Mitchell County
Southerly and then eventually northwesterly winds of 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 70 mph are expected.
Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around trees and branches. If possible, remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Use caution if you must drive.
