On Thursday, the Kansas Jayhawks announced their men’s basketball non-conference slate for the historic 70th season at Allen Fieldhouse

Fans will get a first look at an enhanced Allen Fieldhouse at the 40th Annual Late Night in the Phog on Friday, October 18. Details on Late Night will be released at a later date.

The action begins with an exhibition against Washburn on October 29th, followed by a loaded November featuring Howard, UNC, Oakland, UNC Wilmington, and Furman.

Thursday also saw the announcement that Travis Geopfert, a four-time National Assistant Coach of the Year during two stints at national powerhouse Arkansas, was announced as K-State’s seventh full-time Director of Track and Field/Cross Country

Geopfert agreed to a 5-year contract and will be formally introduced to the public during a news conference on Monday, July 15 at 11 a.m., CT

And finally the Salina Liberty will continue their push for an AFL title on Saturday when they face the league’s top seed in the Albany Firebirds at 1:30

The winner will advance to the Arena Bowl Championship game to take on either the Billings Outlaws or Nashville Kats the following week, both games can be viewed on the CBS Sports Network.
