Betty J. (Stillie) Seibel

Betty Seibel passed away at Village Manor on April 18, 2024. She was born on May 31, 1927, in Abilene, Kansas, to Ralph and Mary (Daniels) Stillie. Her childhood was spent in Abilene, where she attended local schools, graduating from Abilene High School in 1946. She married the love of her life, Lloyd Seibel, on February 16, 1947, in the First Baptist Church. Shortly after marriage, the couple moved close to Lloyd’s brother in California, where they lived most of their married life. She and Lloyd enjoyed traveling including many trips to Las Vegas, and sightseeing in the US, Canada and Europe. Betty worked for Pacific Telephone Company, retiring after 34 years.
After her husband’s death, and being away more than 40 years, she moved back to Abilene. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd; brother, Andrew; sisters Phillis, Marie and Lois; cousins Helen Farley and Leonard Daniels. She is survived by her son Charles and wife Maria of Palm Springs, California and her lifelong friend, Gayle Dautel of Wichita.
Betty has chosen cremation and burial at the Zion Cemetery. No service is planned at this time. Memorials may be sent to Hospice of Dickinson County or the charity of your choice and may be sent in care of Martin Becker Carlson Funeral Home 414 NW 3rd Street Abilene, Ks 67410
