Warm temperatures and very strong south winds will prevail across the region on Monday.

In addition, the combination of strong south winds and lower relative humidity levels will create very high grassland fire danger across the entire area, according to the National Weather Service in Wichita. Avoid outdoor burning.
The wind conditions are forecast to be such that a wind advisory has been issued for multiple counties in our area for Monday.
The National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a wind advisory in effect from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday for the following counties in our area.
Ellsworth County
Lincoln County
Marion County
McPherson County
Saline County
South winds at 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 45 mph are expected.
Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects and knock down a few smaller tree limbs. Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle.
