Stout and gusty south winds will prevail today across the region, supporting elevated grassland fire danger.

Because of the wind, the National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a wind advisory in effect from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday for the following counties in our area.

South winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 45 mph are expected.

Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Small tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high-profile vehicle.
