UPDATE 4 p.m. Sunday: Another minor earthquake has struck southeastern Saline County today, bringing the total for Sunday to seven.

According to the Kansas Geological Survey, a 2.2 magnitude quake struck at 3:16 p.m. Sunday and was centered just west-northwest of the S. Niles Road/E. Hedberg Road intersection.

UPDATE 1 p.m. Sunday: The Kansas Geological Survey has reported another earthquake in southeastern Saline County.

At 11:47 a.m. Sunday, a 2.0 magnitude quake was centered just west-northwest of the S. Niles Road/E. Hedberg Road intersection.

GYPSUM - After a short break, small earthquakes returned to southeastern Saline County this morning.
Prior to this morning, the most recent reported earthquake in Saline County was early Wednesday afternoon.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 3.9 magnitude quake struck at 4:40 a.m. Sunday northeast of the E. Hobbs Creek Road/S. Woodward Road intersection in southern Saline County.

According to the Kansas Geological Survey, a 2.6 magnitude quake struck southwest of Gypsum at 4:54 a.m. Sunday. It was centered southeast of the S. Niles Road/E. Assaria Road intersection.

Then, at 5:08 a.m. Sunday, a 2.5 magnitude quake struck quite near to the 4.54 a.m. quake. It, too, was centered southeast of the S. Niles Road/E. Assaria Road intersection.

At 6:06 a.m. Sunday, a 2.5 magnitude earthquake struck southwest of Gypsum. It was centered just south of E. Assaria Road between S. Niles Road and S. Cunningham Road.

At 6:51 a.m. Sunday, a 2.0 quake struck southwest of Gypsum. It was centered nearly directly under S. Niles Road just south of E. Assaria Road.
