
Michael Ascher is the latest Comfort Heating and Air Salute to Service honoree.
Michael is a lieutenant with the Saline County Sheriff's Office.
Michael's nominator wrote, "Not only does he serve and protect at work, but he volunteers his time to run a non-profit. Since 2006, he's helped raise money to give to local charities or families in need. Since 2014, he turned the yearly Guns vs Hoses football game into a successful fundraiser and even added a golf tournament. His goal is to provide an exciting event where the community can come together and raise money for a good cause."

Comfort Heating and Air and Mokas Coffee are back this fall with their "Salute to Service" program, a weekly contest on Salina Post to honor a local police officers, military members, medical professionals, or first responders. Each week, a winner will be selected and will receive a $50 gift card to Mokas Coffee in Salina.
All the weekly winners will be entered in a random drawing to be held on Dec. 20 to win a Salina Staycation with hotel, a local gift cards for shopping and food. Additionally, Comfort Heating & Air will also donate $500 to the charity or service organization of the grand prize winner’s choice.
