UPDATE: Multiple quakes, including a 3.1, shake SE Saline County Tuesday

UPDATE 4:45 p.m. Tuesday: The Kansas Geological Survey reported this afternoon another quake, this time west-southwest of Gypsum. That brings today's quake total to four.

A 2.2 magnitude earthquake struck at 12:37 p.m. Tuesday. It was centered just north of E. Assaria Road between S. Cunningham Road and S. Woodward Road.

The Kansas Geological Survey reported that a 2.3 magnitude quake struck southwest of Gypsum at 2:34 a.m. Tuesday. It was centered just north-northwest of the E. Hedberg Road/S. Niles Road intersection.

At 5:32 a.m. Tuesday, another 2.3 magnitude quake struck nearby. It was centered just west of S. Cunningham Road, between E. Hedberg Road and E. Assaria Road.

The Kansas Geological Survey then reported that a 3.1 magnitude quake struck at 6:33 a.m. Tuesday. It was centered just southwest of the S. Kipp Road/E. Hedberg Road intersection.
