The woman who was involved in a fatal crash resulting in a motorcyclist being killed on a rural Saline County road, appeared in court Wednesday.
Kiley Barnett (39) appeared in the Saline County Court, Wednesday morning for a review hearing. According to County Attorney John Reynolds, the defense council asked for time to discuss ramifications of the plea offer he issued to them.
Barnett's next court appearance will be held April 22.
She is facing requested charges of:
No Proof of Insurance, Driving While Suspended (DWS) and Following Too Close.
On October 17, 2025 at approximately 6:53 pm, Barnett (Kanopolis) was traveling on the K-140 Highway in Saline County and hit Riley Faris (30) from behind, ejecting him for his motorcycle.
Faris died after the accident.
The family of Faris have expressed they want criminal charges for Barnett.
