SALINE COUNTY- A motorcyclist was pronounced dead after a reported vehicle accident in Saline County.
According to the Saline County Sheriff's Office on Friday, October 17 at approximately 6:53 pm, a two-vehicle accident occurred in Brookville on the K-140 highway at Perry St.
Reportedly, a custom 1986 Harley Davidson driven by Riley Faris, 30 (Salina) was going westbound, when a 2003 Subaru Forester operated by Kylie Barnett, 39 (Kanopolis) traveling westbound, hit Faris from behind.
Faris was ejected from the motorcycle upon impact.
Deputies arrived to the scene and booked Barnett into the Saline County Jail. She is facing requested charges of Driving While Suspended, No Proof of Insurance and Following too close.
Faris was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies determined alcohol was not a factor and the investigation is ongoing.
