The Salina City Commission meeting will take place in–person at the City/County Building in Room 107 and via Zoom. Meetings can be viewed at the City of Salina YouTube channel, https://www.youtube.com/cityofSalinaKansas.
To participate via Zoom, citizens will need to use the following link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/89275984587.
The meeting can also be accessed by phone at 1-346-248-7799. Enter Meeting ID: 892 7598 4587 when prompted.
If citizens wish to speak, either during the public forum or when the mayor requests public comment on an item, citizens attending via Zoom must raise their hand so that the meeting host can allow them to speak. Those who attend the in-person meeting will have the opportunity to speak at the podium.
Citizens can also send written comments or questions to City Commissioners by visiting the City of Salina’s website at www.salina-ks.gov and using the “Email City Commission” icon on the home page.
In order for the commissioners to have an opportunity to review comments in advance of the meeting, please email your comments or questions by 5 p.m. the Sunday prior to the Monday meetings.

Study Session

● Award the bid for updated park trash receptacles in the ammount of $147,895.10 and authorize the City Manager to authroize the purchase upon the fulfillment of all prerequisites under the purchasing policy
● Award a quote for five (5) gas utility vehicles using cooperative purchasing in the amount of $68,011.76 and authorize the City Manager to authorize the purchase upon fulfillment of all prerequisites under the purchasing policy
● Approve the minutes of the meeting of Nov. 6 2023
Administration
● Approve Ordinance No. 23-11181 on second reading approving the execution of Amendment No. 1 to the Loan Agreement between the Kansas Department of Health and Environment and the City of Salina for the purpose of Financing improvement to wastewater treatment plant
● Approve Ordinance No. 23-11182 on the second reading approving the execution of a loan agreement between the city of Salina and the State of Kansas for the purpose of financing drinking water service lines inventories to account for any lead service lines
● Authorize the City Manager to execute agreements with Fire Facilities, Inc. for the cost of materials in the amount of $35,836.00 and JTL Construction in an amount not exceeding $6,600.00 for labor associated with repairs to the City of Salina Fire Department Training Tower, for a total cost not to exceed $42,436
● Award the low bid for construction of the new sanitation equipment storage building
● Approve Charter Ordinance 43 on first reading exempting the City of Salina from certain parts of Chapter 308 (SB 508) of the Session Laws of 1937, as amended by Chapter 250 (SB 341) of the Sessions LWas of 1939, an act authorizing certain cities of the first class to convey certain property to the board of education of such city
