Temperatures ramping back up in Central Kansas with heat indices over 100

Temperatures are ramping back up after a dropdown last week in Central Kansas.

According the US National Weather Service (Wichita, KS), heat indices throughout the Central Kansas region are expected to reach over 100 degrees.

Areas such as Salina, Russell, Hutchinson, Wichita, Harper and Winfield are under a heat advisory for Thursday, August 7 and Friday, August 8.

Additional areas include Emporia, Eureka, Chanute and Coffeyville for Friday
