High wind watches have been issued for much of the state later this week.
The National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a high wind watch effective 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Wednesday for the following counties in our area.
●Ellsworth County
●Lincoln County
●Marion County
●McPherson County
●Saline County
Southwest winds of 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 65 mph are possible.
Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are possible. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Fasten loose objects or shelter objects in a safe location prior to the onset of winds.
